Anyone heard of Ellegarden?
They're like a POP PUNK Band...and their style is similar to Blink182
Here's a clip of their newest single:

Heck they even have their own wikipedia entry...ahahahahah

They're alright. I liked the song they did on Synchronized Rockers, but other than that I don't find their other releases too compelling.
-
Well I can't say they're very unique, but I like them enough to want to go to their live shows. Salamander is pretty badass, and probably one of their best works imo potato.
-
Same as mal.
Funny Bunny is great, but I can't get into their other stuff.
-
anyone here is like a hardcore fan? I like yubiwa and barefoot
-
I really like ellegarden ^__^ my fav. song is Niji from the Fire on the Grill album.
they just released a new album this month!! it's called "Eleven Fire Crackers" and it pretty much rocks! It's up on jpopsuki if anyone wants to grab it
-
Their new album is soooooooooo good, I just love it and I love Takeshi Hosomi :heart:
Im soo going to buy this album (if I can get some money XD)
-
they're good...just nothing out of the ordinary...but still one of my top favorite j-rock/punk artists and their english pronunciation blew me away
-
ellegarden is great imo...i didn't even know there was a j-punk genre
in addition, i thought they were american, i never thought they were japanese

haha i thought the same thing when i first heard one of their songs. They sound so american, it's like they don't even have a japanese accent. Great band though, i need more of their songs >.<
-
when i first heard then i thought for a second it was blink 182 i was like WTF...blink 182 ><'a
but yeah it surprised me how well their english pronunciation was...
as for favorite song by them it's gotta be ichi for some reason XD
-
Hm.. Their songs are in english? Songs are not bad, thanks for the recommendation.
-
people keep comparing them to blink-182. Same style as enema of the state era blink I guess, but other than the whiny vocals, they're not that similar.
-
They're playing in LA the 24th. http://knittingfactory.com/show.php?event_id=106384
-
a one man show? that's pretty rare in the US
-
i doubt it, prolly a couple local bands opening
-
They had a support band called The Get Go.
Here be the pics:

Ellegarden is one of my favorite band and takeshi hosomi's(vocal of ellegarden) english pronunciation is good, not like other japanese band.I think because he can speak english.for detail you can check this site www.ellegarden.jp :)

i like ellegarden a lot too! they're not unique at all, but they do really well what they are supposed to do. their show was one of the best i saw so far.
i have all their cds and my favorite one is pepperoni quattro! "pizza man" is f*cking hilarious!
but my favorite song is "my favorite song". i identify myself so much in this one...
takeshi has a nice voice and singing, he lived for two or three years in US that's why his english is so good.
