These two participated in the NEW STAR auditions in Taiwan, but did not win, though Tsunku was impressed with the way they entertained the audience. They were later added to Hello! Project as a duo. They have already made their first trip to Japan, resulting in dance lessons and the chance to perform as backup dancers for Kusumi Koharu during the Hello! Project 2009 Winter Concerts. The duo has also been proven to be popular on variety shows.

^ Well, yeah. They made me go "awwww".

But it'll probably also be for the little girls (or boys) that like simple fun songs to sing along with, easy dance moves they can copy, pink, etc. - I mean, I know it would've kept my niece's attention when she was little, and it would probably entertain my cousin quite a bit; he would love trying to copy their arm movements.

- Their Official Group Name will be "大小姐" (Big Missy) . actually the "大" in "大小姐" doesn't really has anything to do with "age" or "size" , it's about "social status". .... (note: please don't call anyone "大小姐" with a negative tone coz she will think you're calling her a "spoiled brat" LOL).

- Their first album will be "我是大小姐" (I am the Big Missy).

- Their debut is earlier than expected because of their performances at several TV shows are higher than expected. Aiko even had a cameo in a drama called "終極三國"

- The album will be release in mid-September.

7 years old aiko and 9 years old frances are going to be in the showbiz world, they both wishes to see Show Lo.
Last year 6 years old aiko and 8 years old frances joined "Hello Project New Star" show, their way of entertaining the audience has make a great image to the judge tsunku, and had invited them to do a performance in early this year's Hello Project Concert, 小燕姐(don't know who she is) thinks these two kids are so cute that she decided to immediately sign them to become a star/singer.

Their company was thinking about training them slowly to learn to dance and sing, but they learn them really quickly, this had lead them to go on show such as "Diamond Club" and aiko had been acting for a small scene for "K.O.3anguo". So 小燕姐had decided, push forward to put them in to a group called "Big missy", but when "Big Missy" being asked about do you wish to get a great sales in your single? Both of them didn't know what to say, because both of them only think of this "JOB" as playing around/game.

1. Mai didn't debut shortly afterward as the oldest of her unit, much less a duo, where it's not really possible to be "in the back" and develop on one's own.
2. Mai joined pre-W breakdown, and at the time all of the age-limbo had only churned out successes. People are more cautious now, especially with how Kago's turned out.

I'm just surprised at how well these girls have done in their closeup shots. Some of the H!PK weren't even that active at first.  But I'm more worried at how they'll be psychologically affected as they grow up in the spotlight. There are very few successful child stars that make the transition. Even the ones who do usually go through quite a few bumps in the process.

But if they turn out as well as the girls I rave about in this post, I ain't complaining.

poif at H!O did a rough translation of a blog entry about the autumn festival that ICM and DXJ performed at. Here's the part about DXJ:

... and of course the appearance of Da Xiao Jie also caused a commotion in the spectator crowd. A bunch of motherly elders kept murmuring "omg so cute so cute!". Apart from the entertaining performances, the "mo lei tou" (silly/nonsensical/random) coversation of the two little girls with the MC's also caused quite a bit of laughter, causing another riot amongst the little kids in the venue. I think the charms and charisma that Da Xiao Jie has over the young kids is equivalent to the big brothers and sisters of "you you television station" (station and screens shows like that of Hi-5). The funniest part was when a mother pushed her little kid onto stage, and Da Xiao Jie was like commenting on how cute the little kid was. Everyone in the audience were totally defeated by the cuteness oozing out, the whole scene was so funny! The celebrations were ready to move into the next phase but Da Xiao Jie still stood on stage, clueless of what is going on. The MC's had to go back onto stage to invite them off stage, it was another funny and classic moment.

Totally. Little kids and those people (most likely female) that think they're adorable.

There was a video (I don't know if I posted it on JPH!P) of the girls performing in the open, in a store or outside of one I believe, and a bunch of kids came to the front and started dancing along with them. It was really cute.

For anyone that may actually care, I've updated the first post information, added new sections, and changed to more current pictures.

The group photo at the very top is the new promotional photo for their second mini album. All currently available nformation on the album has also been posted in the first post.

Except a few tidbits:
• They filmed 4 MVs and 2 dance shots in two days
• They visited at least four locations to film everything
• If the title of the album is translated directly it means "add add oil" or "try your best"; "Try Your Best! Da Xiao Jie".
