Is there a ranking for japanese music companies?

I remember something like that was posted way back somewhere on H!P Questions, the rankings of the music entertainment companies, with UFA, Avex, Sony Entertainment Japan, Johnny's Jimusho...  but I think that was back in 2006 or something...

Fukuoka's pop culture site draws global viewers
A Web site run by the Fukuoka Prefectural Government showcasing music, comics, fashion and other artifacts of pop culture from Japan and Asia is drawing attention as it goes multilingual and expands in scope.

Asianbeat.com (http://asianbeat.com/en/) is published in Japanese and four other languages. A rare cultural foray by a local government, the site has had visitors from at least 150 countries, according to prefectural officials.

Although it is separate from the government's home page, a dozen staff, including government employees and translators, are responsible for running the site, which was set up in September 2005 after Fukuoka officials took note of everything from the many visitors to the prefecture from China and South Korea to concerts held by Japanese musicians there.

The number of page visits climbed sharply in 2009 after a Thai-language section was added. The site is also published in Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese, using both simplified and traditional characters.

It's crap, but thought it was cool that the Fukuoka Prefectural Government was doing it..

OK, recently I've been looking for that song that plays in loop in my head; only problem is I don't know the title...
I'd say that song plays each time I'm at a Tsutaya or Geo rental DVD shop...
The singer is a woman, and in the lyrics she's often would sing the words 'doushite' どうして
I could hear that song in November and December, but now I can't hear it anymore...
Does anyone have any idea of the song I'm talking to?

That, and another song I hear yesterday (Feb 16th 2010), with a girl or some girls singing "tsubu tsubu tsubu tsubu"...
Again, I have no idea of the title song nor the group name...
Any leads?

OK, thanks myself for finding the song with the "doushite" in the lyrics. It was WHY by Miliyah Katou...
For the other song, I have no idea.

similar sites to hongfire are:

forum.nihonomaru.com
www.sakurahana.com (http://www.sakurahana.com)

Also asianload.com and jpopshare.com are good for music links.

Some blog sites are also good like dimazdizon and r3z4prof (google them)

And kuroba.net but this hasn't been updated recently. Oh last one off the top of my head is rula.us

http://idolscheduler.jp/ (http://idolscheduler.jp/)

Best. Website. Ever.

It lists the majority of all idol related events. Anything from festivals, concerts, handshake events, release events and whatnot.
It features most idol groups (H!P, Super Girls, Afilia Saga East, Apple Tale, AeLL, etc. etc.) with the exception of the 48 empire.

Can I create a thread in here that's about idol ranking? Like idols other than AKB and H!P but your favorite idols from Afilia Saga and BABYMETAL for a example. I like to rank my favorite idols and see what others like the same idols as me.
