Idol groups rarely collaborate with other artists but we can always dream & speculate! So, who would you like to see AKB48 collaborate with?

There can be NO denying that there is a particular idol group which comes to mind so allow me to break the ice (drumroll...)
SMAP...
All kidding aside, I don't know how a collaboration can be anything more than a PR thing. The idolling mix did not bring anything new.

Mix in some girls with Scandal. They also have that school uniform thing going on and I think they could pull of some kick ass rock songs together. I'm thinking Sasshi, Kitarie and Kasai.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if this collaboration happened. We've seen SMAP collaborate with loads of other groups (Morning Musume, Perfume, Backstreet Boys..) and they were usually during the time when the respective groups were the talk of the public. Plus, I wanna see Nakai-kun doing Aitakatta :lol:

I'd love to see a m-flo LOVES AKB48, but I know that just ain't gonna happen (outside of it being highly unlikely anyway).
The group's size and dynamic just doesn't make for a good collab with Verbal-tachi. Although I think a AKB48 x Saito Neko collab a la Shiina Ringo would not be too out of place, I'm sure they can take on a song with orchestral arrangement fairly easily. Of course, it'd be even better if Ringo herself got in on it. I must admit this is harder than I thought. But I think I'd be ok with any collaborations that involve an orchestra of some sort. Suzumiya Haruhi no Gensou, anyone?

Since DAIGO knows the choreography of Iiwake Maybe now, maybe (XD) there'll be a collaboration?

Anyway, I wish they'd do a higher quality musical with the Takarazuka Revue. But maybe that would be straight up copying Morning Musume.

In Kpop they often find excuses for groups to perform each others songs. Not that it'll ever happen since they're Johnny's Jr., but I'd kinda love to see a girls version of Fire Beat. There's a few of them I could totally see getting into the head banging xD;

Of course this would be rather obious, and possibly a little sad as we can see from sales that AKB are more popular
But I'd love to see a single with Momusu :lol:
They could all do a song making light hearted digs at the other group and have a dance off in the musical interlude and at the end either both sides lose or they make friends or something weird XD
Or maybe have a song about being the best at music/dancing/LIFE and have the pv do the v.s. thing :P
the B-sides could be a Momusu version and a AKB48 (or maybe just the top few girls) version of the same song :lol: I'd love to see that- but I highly doubt it'd happen ; n ;

This right here. I love H!P AND AKB, and it really sucks when there are fans that are Anti one or the other.

Morning Musume. I'm not a Momusu fan anymore, but I still think a collab between them would be really cool.

Word. AKB48 x H!P crossover would be pretty fucking cool. If AKB can collaborate with Idoling!!! then why not with H!P too? Watarirouka x Smileage definitely sounds like fun :)
