Black Dynamite is an upcoming spoof of blaxploitation films of the 60's and 70's. It stars Michael Jai White. It is set for release in 2009, and had its premiere at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, where Sony Worldwide Acquisitions picked it up for distribution. The film has been discussed with approval on numerous movie-related websites.

Plot
In 1972, Black Dynamite, a former CIA agent, is called back into the business when the Italian mob kills his brother, fills black orphanages with heroin, and floods the street with bad malt liquor. He soon discovers a vast conspiracy, reaching all the way to the White House.

Apparition Bringing Black Dynamite to Theaters this Fall

Remember that crazy trailer from last year for that awesome blaxploitation movie called Black Dynamite starring Michael Jai White? Good news - it's finally coming to theaters in October. Sony has announced that Apparition, the new distribution company also handling Terrence Malick's Tree of Life, will be bringing it to theaters starting on October 16th. The film stars Michael Jai White as Black Dynamite, a gun-toting, nunchuck-wielding, ladies man willing to fight all the way from the blood-soaked city streets to the hallowed halls of the Honky House. so, i just saw this movie last night! its so DY-NA-MITE!  So much funny scenes, it ranks up there with The Hangover with funniest movie in 2009!  THe Soundtrack is too dope as well
