WHOA! Who'd thought Suzy would be the first one to break out

2PM Wooyoung, miss A Suzy cast for "Dream High"

2PM member Wooyoung and miss A's Suzy will both be making their acting debut in the upcoming KBS music TV series "Dream High," a highly anticipated co-production between top Korean entertainment firms JYP Entertainment (JYPE) and KEYEAST.

The show's promoter announced Thursday that Wooyoung has been cast for the role of Kevin, a skilled dancer from overseas, while Suzy will be playing the role of Goo Hae-mi, the prettiest girl at a performing arts school who dreams of becoming the next Jo Su-mi (famed female soprano).

"I have always had a strong interest in acting and hopefully I will be able to do a good job in portraying Kevin," Wooyoung was quoted as saying, while Suzy mentioned how she could not believe that she got the role and is very nervous and excited.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun and another 2PM member Taecyeon were cast as the male leads for "Dream High," taking on the role of Song Sam-dong and Jin-kook, respectively.

"Dream High," a 16-part mini-series, is about the dreams of students who attend a performing arts school with the storyline set to be relayed through song and dance.

It will air on Monday and Tuesday nights starting January next year and Hallyu star Bae Yong-joon and Park Jin-young will help in the production and musical arrangements for the show.

Wooyoung, 23, made his debut in the six-member boy band 2PM who recently have been promoting their title track "I'll Be Back" from mini-album "Still 2:00PM." He has also branched out into various facets of the entertainment industry, appearing on several variety shows as well as hosting them.

Suzy, 17, is the youngest member of the four-member girl group miss A. The girls made a huge splash into the local music scene with their debut single "Bad Girl Good Girl" released in early July this year and followed it up with their latest song "Breathe."

Personally, I think I prefer Min in streetwear. Just seems so much more her style.

Suzy! Baby! Why must those two words go together so well?

It's cool, she'll just be cute and beautiful for 2 more years. She's been pretty fun since Step Up was released. I liked her from the start, but she was shy and always seemed to have the same expressions. Nice to see her coming out more.

Also, not sure if anyone posted this here, but Suzy is a permanent MC for Music Core, along with SHINee's Onew and Minho, and T-ara's Jiyeon.

In other news, Suzy's also going to be lessening her appearances on music shows when the group's promoting so that she can focus on her drama Dream High, which is scheduled to come out on January 3rd, 2011. In any case, I'm looking forward to it.

I've gotta jet, so I'll look for more miss A news when I get home later.

I believe that was with MW2, but I also remember her tweeting that she couldn't wait for Black Ops to come out. I sometimes see her tweeting fans in relation to the game.
