HKT48 to hold first overseas concerts in Taiwan and Hong Kong!August 4, 2014Idol group HKT48 announced during their handshake event in Fukuoka that they will be holding their first overseas concerts in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Member and Theatre Manager Sashihara Rino (21) made the announcement in the style of an emergency radio broadcast, "We have just received a piece of news," and told her fans about their first steps towards international expansion.The overseas concerts will be part of their nationwide tour set to begin in September. This is the group's first concerts abroad since their debut 2 year ago. HKT48's documentary film to be released in 2015November 24, 2014It's been revealed that HKT48's documentary film, tentatively titled 'DOCUMENTARY of HKT48', will be released in 2015. This announcement was made on November 22 during the group's concert at HKT48 Theater which was held to commemorate the 3rd year anniversary of their stage debut. HKT48 announce 2-day concert at Yokohama ArenaJanuary 24, 2015The finale of HKT48's nationwide tour has been confirmed to be a 2-day concert at Yokohama Arena on June 27 and 28. This was announced during the 4th day of 'AKB48 Request Hour Set List Best 1035 2015' at TOKYO DOME CITY HALL.The moment it was announced via VTR, Sashihara Rino commented, "That's great, but won't we be overwhelmed by the 2 days at Yokohama Arena?" She also brought laughter to the crowd, saying, "We should ask Ohta Pro and call Acchan (Maeda Atsuko) or Yuko-chan (Oshima Yuko)." Kodama Haruka expressed, "It's hard to believe since such a huge venue is unknown to us, but we will do our best to show the compilation of our nationwide tour." Miyawaki Sakura added, "By wrapping up at Yokohama Arena, I hope to show that HKT's never-ending power." Furthermore, additional dates for their nationwide tour were announced.
