I'm currently using Windows Vista and those that also use Vista will have the same problem.   I can't view my GIF files in the "Windows Picture Gallery."  Unlike the Windows XP version, the Windows Fax and Picture Viewer, the Picture Gallery can't and it's already been noted.

I want a software/program that enable me to view GIFs the way Fax and Picture Viewer does.  I can view GIF with those media player like WMP11 or VLC, but that's not what i want.  Instead of having the program/software opens everytime I want to view it, I want it to only pop-open a preview/viewer window w/out going thru all the trouble of opening a program, it's a hassle and a waste of time.

Yeah..., that's one of the thing i hate about vista. In XP if i want to view GIF, i just double click it.  :shakeit:
I already don't use Vista, but when i use it, i use ACDsee as a replacement for Windows Fax and Viewer.

@Shadowstar : Once i laso had that problem with some of my song. If you can play the song from the beginning to the end, try to convert the mp3 using another program, to the same format, which is MP3 also. Then you try again to changes the format into AAC. I use MP3 cutter joiner.

Debating should I get Asus, MSI, HP, or Dell Mini10 custom.

Which one is better?

My firefox tabs are messing up.

It gives titles of web pages that I'm not even on. Like I have a hotmail tab that's open but not active, but it displays "Wikipedia" as the title of it.

Do I have to re-install FF?

Well, I never experience that while using Firefox.
Try starting the Firefox in Safemode, You can choose some troubleshooter there.
Pick "Reset toolbars and controls" or "Disable all add-ons"
If it doesn't work, try another option.

I think it's all depends on you and usually different country comes with different model and prices.
Like do you need the Bluetooth, 3G-HSDPA Modem ?
How much weight can you handle ? Is the Netbook model important to you ?

Anyway, I go for ASUS 1004DN. (with an assumption, i don't care about the price).
The reason is :
- That ODD really helpful.
- The resolution 1024x600, is enough for me. (NEVER EVER go for 1024x576 res, it sucks)
- New integrated graphic 4series
- 3 USB ports. 1 mouse, 1 flashdisk and 1 available, cause usually some flashdisk is large enough so it consumes other USB port :(

Once again, it all depends to you.
PS : I never like MSI. Never go for SSD drive and 1024x576 res.

Hope it helps

Hey, y'all, need a bit of help, and I'm hoping for a quick response.

I had to do a re-install once again, and everything when well except for the drive letters getting switched around.
I have a 120gig HDD with 2 partitions, one for the OS and other progs and the other for everything else.

What I need to know is how to change the drive letters back, so my boot drive is "C:" instead of "D:".

All help appreciated, thanks very much.

A quick response would be using Google..

Took me a total of about 4seconds..

XP - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307844

VISTA - http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/help/ada5519d-850d-465d-a6a7-598fa2f110521033.mspx

(both are pretty much the same)

My harddisk is making these "click"... (1 seconds)..."clur" sounds. I think it's going to die soon.
So I bought a new harddisk with the same size and using fastcopy to copy files over one folder at a time.

It's still readable, but the speed is only at less than 4mb/s, and I'm worried the problem harddisk will totally fail before I've saved the stuff. With this speed, it should take me 130 hours to copy the whole 1TB.

Should I keep copying. And just hope I can copy it all over by 1-2 weeks time?
Or should I start giving up, and see if I can still find the stuff online?

The steps in the above linked kb article do not apply to system/boot drives. Changing the drive letter of the system or boot drive is risky but it can be done. See this Microsoft kb article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/223188
