Okay, verrry tempted to do the Paris thing. (Ironically, I had already planned to be in Tokyo some time next spring; this might help me and my friend firm up dates.)
Anyone else interested in the Paris thing? Willing to share cost of room with females. Guess I have to go see what the cost would be... I know without hard dates, hard to plan, but we can fantasize for now, right? ;)
-
now I'm REAL worried..what if they miss USA completely? :(

WARNING - PURE SPECULATION. NO FACTS CONTAINED IN THIS POST.
My girlfriend and I did some research today. The only anime or Japan-related event happening in Paris that we could find is the Chibi Japan Expo (http://www.chibi-japan-expo.com/) which is 30 October - 1 November of this year. The regular Japan Expo, as you may know, is who hosted AKB48 earlier this year.
The Chibi Japan Expo does not have guests listed yet for this year, but apparently have some handshake guidelines posted on the site. (Per what my gf could muddle out with her rusty French :nervous)
We're thinking that this could possibly be the event where h&A will be.
Again, this is just speculation based completely off of googling and random intarweb searching.
Honestly, November is verymuch not con season, so I'm wondering if they may do a small concert-only venue as opposed to being part of a established convention.
On an additional speculative side note, 2ch has been dragging around this supposed rumored European tour for h&A since KMKM came out. It includes Berlin, Budapest, and Paris, among others that I cannot remember. However, that press release only said "パリ", so I believe this is still something someone on 2ch pulled out of their ass.
</wild speculation>
On a personal note, I really hope that I have a steady job by then (and one that wouldn't mind me trotting off to Europe for a long weekend) because if h&A go to Paris, my girlfriend will most likely go as well even though she claims the only sentence she remembers in French is "J'ai mal à la tête" (I have a headache) because that is what French does to her. XD
-
^ Thanks for the heads up, even if it's just web search results. Still, it's nice to have potential ideas of what could happen, pending a formal announcement.
As for the trip as a whole, an extended weekend sounds around right for my level of interest. I admit that the trip for me would focus on the concert (and related activities), and the Lourve.
I haven't been to Paris since I was a teenager, and that was a couple of decades ago. Haven't found a reason to return until now. I guess that's IY for ya! :inlove:
-
now I'm REAL worried..what if they miss USA completely? :(
Oh, shut up. You got h&A in USA twice already (well, h&A and then Yossy). It's time for Europe now FOOOOO! :twothumbs
I'm going to Paris, definitely! :ding: :finland:
Kimmeh & Almond, it'd be great if u can be there too :nya: :D
-
Yay! damn I wish I had money... and that they don't leave out the UK again, that would be cool.... maybe we're too small :(
Personally I hope it isn't too short notice, cause then I could save up and go lol.
-
WOOOOOOOOOO!!! :welcome +u+u
C$1,107.09 cost for me....MAYBE *_* but we gotta plan some major PIMP :jphip: shit!
me and tru have already been chatting. I contacted the Japanese fans from Seattle, Mae hollered at me earlier this morn!!

well, the chibi JE is like a second Japan Expo. It's not as big of course and no big names have been invited since the 1st ed. (it's the 3rd lol) but why not ^^
But it could be an independant live too (like what Kana did).
-
WHOOOO! Hangry & Angry will take over Europe! :w00t:
I'm going to Paris, definitely! :ding: :finland:
Tervetuloa! :finland:
-
Seeing Charmy in live... ?
For my birthday ?
Oh shit.
-
Hehe I'm considering it. Their show at Sakuracon was totally awesome and I think it'd be totally worth it to see them again. It also gives me a chance to finally go to Europe lol. But like a lot of people, it's too soon for me and I'm not sure if I can muster up the cash for it in time.
-
awesome! i have to go to this!
now if only they feel like jumping onto the ferry and putting something on in the UK
-
 I should be able to make it and I should have enough money for the train by that time. Lucky    I hope I can make it, it would be a shame for me to let this opportunity slip under my very nose!
-
I've sent a mail to the Chibi JE team;
they didn't say 'yes' or 'no' of course but told me that the 1st part of the guests list will be out this week ... wait & see.
-
Sweet! First AKB48, now CHARMY in Paris! Plus point is I already now my way around Paris by now XD
I want/need more details!!
2009 is turning out great.. I really hope I'll be able to make it.
-
Whoa im really really considering going to this shit.. I got cash saved up, (sorta) once the hard dates are announced we'll see. Plane ticks are gonna be 800+ ouch.
-
*sigh* Spent up too much at AX to afford to go to Paris to see ishiyoshi. Glad to see that a World Tour plan hasn't died out yet. Maybe I'll just wait it out until they're done in Europe so that they can finally come to the East Coast, maybe perform at Webster Hall...or the Javits Center...
-
I have vacation time... we'll see how expensive this is going to be :-\

What sh15uya said. :shakeit:
The gist:
Revealed here is the first musical guest for Chibi! It's the pop-rock duo HANGRY&ANGRY, which already made a splash in Japan and in the United States, and is ready to conquer Europe and France!
The two young ladies in the group chose Chibi Japan Expo to meet the French public and promise a showcase at the Amphitheatre! Ex-members of the idol group, Morning Musume, HANGRY&ANGRY formed in 2008 and rapidly launched their career thanks to MySpace and a live concert at Sakura-Con in Seattle! This explosive career debut was accompanied in November 2008 with their first indie mini-album Kill Me Kiss Me.
But who's hiding behind HANGRY&ANGRY?
-
MERDE!!! are we going to go halloweening in PARIS?!?!!?
MON DIEU!!!!!!

Also. I got this link in the email from a mysterious French dude/dudette (basically expanded from what shibuya and Kimmy posted): http://www.chibi-japan-expo.com/NL/0910_CJE03_NL_2009-09-08_FR.htm (http://www.chibi-japan-expo.com/NL/0910_CJE03_NL_2009-09-08_FR.htm)

SACREBLEU! XD
I just realized it was on Halloween. :onionwhip:
On the real, tho... I'm checking that official Chibi Japan site for main details (location, time, ticket prices). Any translating help from our resident Francophones would be OH SO appreciated. I mean, it's hard enough navigating through all the muck on some American con sites. :nervous
I'll post findings as I go along...
Edit 1:
*rubs eyes*
Is this for real? WAO!
FRIDAY October 30 - 9€ (13 USD/14 CAD)
SATURDAY October 31 - 12€ (17 USD/19 CAD)
SUNDAY November 1 - 10€ (15 USD/16 CAD)
ALL THREE DAYS - 25€ (36 USD/39 CAD)
http://chibi-japan-expo.com/art-267-fr-horaires_et_tarifs.html
Apparently, there's no difference in price for advance and onsite purchases, but those who purchase tickets in advance get to go into the con an hour earlier.
Convention hours (for those who buy in advance):
FRIDAY October 30 - 10h-19h (10AM-7PM)
SATURDAY October 31 - 10h-19h (10AM-7PM)
SUNDAY November 1 - (10AM-6PM)
(11AM opening for all onsite ticket purchases)
-
Oh man I sooooooooo want to go to this. I have like 9 vacation days to kill & since I can't roll them over I figure why not consider going to Paris for a few days?
But man.. So soon. But I can sacrifice a lot of shit to get my ass over there. Consider me tenatively down for this since I have to factor a lot of other stuff in. (like when my lackeys are going to take their vacation).
-
Buy your con tickets online:
FNAC.com (http://www.fnacspectacles.com/recherche/rechercheRapide.do?search=japan+expo#a1252437884525)
or
Ticketnet.fr (http://www.ticketnet.fr/shop/fr/manif.asp?idmanif=181149&idtier=78768)
There are no "premium" tickets this year.
Edit:
I'd recommend Ticketnet.fr because their site has an English language option. Click HERE (http://www.ticketnet.fr/shop/en/manif.asp?idmanif=181149&idtier=78768) for the English ticket page on Ticketnet. There's a cost to have your tickets delivered, but there is an option to PRINT your tickets to save on delivery costs.

-
^ LOL. Same, gotta take few free days then XD ANYTHING FOR YOSSY!!!!!!!
-
used the translation for the JE fest.
same rules except the 'no cash points'.
HOW TO ENTER THE FESTIVAL
Please, make sure you keep your ticket at hand to save time.
Non-ticket holders are sent to the exhibition hall to purchase their tickets at the registers at 1:00pm on Thursday and on 11:00am on the other days.
PLEASE mind the opening hour! Do not come at 8:00am and risk a 2-hour waiting time.
REGISTERS AND MEANS OF PAYMENT
For the registers and in order to save time, please make sure you have the right change.
BE CAREFUL, banknotes above €50 are not accepted.
For any cheque, an ID will be automatically required. To save time, please hand it immediately.
NO cash points inside the hall !
LEAVING ONCE MEANS LEAVING DEFINITELY so make sure you have enough cash before entering the festival!!
More generally, please plan to bring enough cash or cheques because very few exhibitors accept credit cards and cash points at the Parc are very likely to be crowded so anticipating the cash need means no need to worry about it during the festival.

Ah man, the date couldn't be more inconvenient.. :banghead: Time is pretty much my only issue.
I was thinking today how epic it would be to see Ishikawa in real life.. she really got me into the whole H!P and stuff. Not to mention she is one of the most beautiful women on earth :)
Still, at this point I really doubt I can make it :(
-
I wish I was rich XD
Ahhh I really want to go! When I saw "H&A in Paris", I got really excited! Then saw the date and thought awww its too soon! But yeah, definitely too soon for me to go to Europe in such a short notice haha. Plus Im broke and I have classes that I cant afford to miss.
But H&A for Halloween? Thats so cool XD
I really hope alot of people can make it. I hope they have new merchandise! :w00t: They should.
@Kristen: Take me with you!!!!!!!! =P Thats AWESOME that you get to see them again!
Ahhh Yossie and Rika in Paris!!! :w00t: Im still excited even if I dont get to go. Although I really wish I could.
-
^ :( I was wondering if you'd be able to go. If you want merch stuff, PM me and we'll "talk" since I know you're a trustworthy soul.
And if it'll make you other envious souls feel a little bit better: I'm less worried about not speaking or reading French than the fact I'm lactose intolerant. With French cuisine usually being about worshipping Dairy, I'll be in fear of almost everything I eat. :sweatdrop:
At least I'll have maps to keep me from becoming lost.
It's not a big surprise that I haven't found a reason to go back to Paris before now.
-
Awwwwww man, K. I been flip flopping....it's leaning towards no. cuz prices range from $1200 to $746 CAD. Like it is almost the same price to go to Tokyo and Paris from way up North. But who knows.....I won't close the door. but arrrrrgh...like me and Masa were talking, it shoulda been announced a few months earlier like Sakura Con but fuck. It is what it is. I'm here to support y'all every step of the way!!!! MAKE IT TIGHT!! Like homegirl tama said.
Our Japanese friends, the Yossi fangirls are already booked!!! :thumbsup
My French is actually pretty decent haha. 6 years of cheating on exams helped!!
Go or not go, irregardless AGAIN every IshiYoshi / H&A fan has to step it up by all means. Show em a hell of a time. This is the EUROPEANS Chance to SHINE. Paris is the first stop, of I'm sure more to come. And judging by the enthusiasm already, there is no doubt y'all gonna KICK ASS!!
H&A MASS PIMP!!
Just some random ideas I had.
Everyone's got their H&A T's. A rework of the design could be like "J' :hipheart: H et A lol.
We could send in a DVD of Tourist Proportions, campagin on why they should visit our town. Whoever needs the LEGENDARY H&A shirts that we rocked in Seattle (I got Kristen's all wrapped up lol) WE CAN DO IT UP.
Of course it would be nuts if Seattle VETS like me, Dinny, Krissy, Kimmy, Claudy, Terrie, Mae-y, Tony be like popping outta their crêpes and go BIENVENUE!!!!!! Remind em who we be.
Hmmmmmmmm...
-
Awww, Big D! Bummer if you miss out on this. Cross fingers. (Though be warned I am checking on rooming options with other folks too.)
But I would hope that you're planning to Tokyo then! We can definitely do the full jph!p invasion!
-
OH MAN Kristen. I really really hope UFA are browsing, cuz a World Tour that hits multiple markets in Europe, Asia, are oh so crucial. the fans are everywhere, and they deserve to see em live like we did. NEVER FORGET!!
I dun mind at all K, hope u can squeeze as many bodies in. I shall send u :hipheart: Pimp Package ASAP. hahahahahahaha...wait.
hahahahahahahha XD
-
this is crazy. JPHIP members repping every UFA events they throw at us! BRING IT ON! :jphip:
-
Finally I can say...
I'M IN GODAMMIT!!!!!! :yossi: :yossi: :yossi: :yossi: :yossi: :yossi: :yossi:
Yesssssssss!!!!!!!!
-
HELLZ YEAH ELGIE!!! Git your JPH!P SHIT!!! REPRESENT!! :fuckyeah:
-
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuc--I really want to attend this. With my hours cuts and recent massive dinnyfund loss in August I doubt I'd be able to fork up the money for the entire trip. :|
Seems like it's the end of my streak. ;_;
-
;__;
-
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck me too. This is the epitome JUMP OFF for all European fans.
DUN WORRY DIN! We start a new streak :D
What hotel (links, etc.) did u stay at Kristen? I'm just asking for Mae. She seems shocked I ain't going.
-
Even for me it's too short notice. And I don't even live that far away
I actually feel pretty bad for not being able to go. Three years ago I couldn't even dream of an event like this. Seeing Rika in real life.. and now when I finally get the chance.. it's feels like I'm failing. :( Still, gotta keep it positive! I'm sure all you guys will rock the house.
-
I wouldn't miss this for the world! I only met a few of you guys briefly in LA, but you all seemed really cool so it would be awesome to hang out a bit more in Paris :D
Thanks a lot for all the info that's been posted in this thread ;) The other forums don't seem to be taking this event seriously so if you guys end up planning something I'd be glad to help out!
-
:welcome CDevil
Oh werd? Did we meet. Hmm, hope so. What did you look like? Cool. Welcome Welcome. AX was life changing. We at :hipheart: take our fan stalking ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR events seriously lol
Bring yo ass there, scream like a maniac. That's the BEST WAY TO HELP!! :jphip:
-
Yeah I think we met a few times at the airport on Day 0 and when MM left, I was the weird short Filipino dude wearing an AKB48 shirt when they arrived XD I met a bunch of you the day before Day 0 too when we waited at the airport but MM didn't show (I think it was rev2hd and limitbreaker). Not a good pic but I'm this guy:
(http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/2696/44316171498x2000.th.jpg) (http://img195.imageshack.us/i/44316171498x2000.jpg/)
I didn't go to Seattle but if Paris is as good as that then I'll be happy.

rev2hd: :( I was also wondering if you were up for this. darn.
daigong: As for places to stay, I'm not firmly locked on anything yet since I'm weighing who needs roomies and such. Since I've locked down the plane ticket and the expo ticket, this was the least critical item for me and I wanted to take my time and do it right. ;)
I'm considering doing the hostel option, which actually might be good if other folks want to join in for cost and company (we don't have to all stay in the same rooms of course.) But elgie could probably provide more info since she was the one who brought up the option. ;)
-
@Kristen: Aww thank you! You're so nice!<3 I'll PM you.
@Dai: Wooooo the Yossie fangirls from Japan are the best XD I love how you have so many ideas on what we could send them!
@CDevil: I remember seeing you at AX. Awesome that you got to be in row E3! Welcome!! :welcome
@Dinny: Awww =( I guess for the rest of us, we can look forward to 2010.
*Sigh* I even asked my sister if she can ask one of her friend's mom who works at the airport for a discount XD But she just said "Mom wont let you go". True . She wouldnt let me fly to Paris all by myself >.<. She'd just laugh, or scream.
Hope Chibi Japan Expo can post up the schedule soon, I want to see what they have planned for H&A.
-
^ Tell your mom that you won't be alone. You'll be with us!!!
Wow, I can't remember the last time I asked permission from my parents to do something... Then again, that's what got me into trouble a lot as a kid.
-
^ Haha yeah she's still super overprotective and Im going to be 21 in December XD. But I convinced her to let me go to Japan earlier this year with my sister and a friend for the Elder Club grad concert and that was a HUGE accomplishment lol. She was crying at the airport when we reached the gate XD. But it would have been alot of fun to hang out with everyone again.
My problems are:
School: Cant miss school, I slacked off enough this year to miss school.
Money: Im broke. Plus I need more money for school.
And I cant go by myself unless I drag my sister with me, but she already said no lol.
How sad XD.
I think if I found the tickets really REALLY cheap, I would TRY to go. Convince my mom somehow and only miss school Friday. But, I checked the prices again today, and they are still in the $700-$800 range =/. So I guess it's H&A in 2010 for me (which Im hoping they tour again).
-
OK, so I don't know yet where I'm going to lodge once in Paris since it's possible I'll be able to go with my family. But just in case, Linna2040 and I are looking for some cheap, clean and preferably centric places to stay at. To keep costs down we don't mind sharing rooms, so anyone who's looking for some low budget accommodation just hop in!
-
^ Too funny, you beat me to the announcement.
So, folks, if you're interested, whether sharing a room or just want to be in the same hostel, PM me, and I'll send the word to you.
Also, let me know if you're a guy/girl and if you have preferences to NOT stay in the same room with a member of the opposite gender. It's not a bad thing to be modest... even on this board. 8)
I already told elgie I'd want to confirm something by the end of the month (at the latest.)
-
don't know if it can help
a cheap hotel @ montreuil
http://www.etaphotel.com/gb/hotel-5037-etap-hotel-paris-porte-de-montreuil/index.shtml (http://www.etaphotel.com/gb/hotel-5037-etap-hotel-paris-porte-de-montreuil/index.shtml)
from 35€ for 1, 2 or 3
it's not a palace but Etap hotels are correct
same kind

expect a high price if you wan't to find a hotel in Paris.
http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/home/index.shtml (http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/home/index.shtml)
-
^ If I'm able to go (wich I hope) I'll probably go to one of those hostels. I've been in Paris four times already and I can tell that hotels there aren't cheap at all.
-
The Etap Montreuil hotel is a very good choice since it's in the same zone as the expo. And it's really, really cheap. Good find! :D
-
The Etap Montreuil is one of the places I saw first, but after reading reviews about that place, I quickly decided not to stay there. UNCLEEEEEEEAAAN. .___.;;
So I shot Chibi Japan Expo a question about when they'd release the schedule. They replied:
Bonjour,
Hello,
The schedule is revealed gradually as our site is being built bit by bit, that's why we can't reveal it all at once. Don't hesitate to check our site for practical details (opening, closing, rates, etc.).
Good festival to you,
The Japan Expo Team
:tama-mad:
Edit:
Oh, a question for you, sh15uya and anyone who lives in/near Paris. How is the Montreuil area? Is it safe to walk around at night? Some of us may just walk from our hotels to the expo and that can range from 15-20 min walking.
-
No shit, I just read the reviews. Berch. On the other hand, I'm looking at the Suitehotel which is very close and, though quite more expensive, looks like a good deal. The Ibis is a bit cheapre but not as nice.
If you're going for the very, very cheap option, try the youth hostels instead. You'll get a level of quality similar to those of a 1-star or the 2-low-star hotels, but at best prices.
As for the zone of Montreuil, it's not very nice... but that's where the convention is being held. If you don't mind taking the tube to the expo, a good part to look at is the zone of Bastille and Opera: it's not too centric so the accomodations aren't very expensive, but it's an OK quarter. Beware of Montmartre! It's very touristic by day, but at night it might be dreary depending of which parts.
-

Monteuil is not what we called 'touristic' same for "Porte de Bagnolet". Of course it's not Bronx, but I wouldn't go for holidays.
I don't think I would go around at night but the 1st reason is probably that there is nothing to do at night there lol
nah don't worry this part of Ile-de-France is quite ok
-
Oh I would just go into the heart of the city to go sightseeing, not out in Montreuil or Porte de Bagnolet. XD But just wanted to know how safe the area is for walking to and from the expo. Thanks for the speedy replies, sh15uya and elgie!

H&A signed with Gan-Shin (http://www.gan-shin.de/) :twothumbs
Official European Releases and Tour Dates coming up!!!
-
Oh, man. More european tours? They're going to suck all my money!!! XD

Official European Releases and Tour Dates coming up!!!
:shocked :shocked :shocked
If they gonna visit other European coutries too, I'd really love to go but... I'm afraid of my money situtation >__>;;
-
They might as well visit The Netherlands and Germany while they're in the neighborhood :P
-
Oh wow more tour dates coming up?! Awesome :yossi: :otomerika:
@Kim: I wasnt sure if you were going to go, but if you are, then WOOOOO!!!
-
H&A signed with Gan-Shin (http://www.gan-shin.de/) :twothumbs
Official European Releases and Tour Dates coming up!!!
Wow! Talk about mixed emotions!!! :shocked
I'm genuinely happy for IY in terms of legitimacy and exposure. As well as for other fans to see them if they can't make Paris. :twothumbs
On the other hand, while I want to go, I don't think I have it in me to be a tour groupie. Nor do I think work would allow it. :(
It was made very clear to me today in a work planning meeting that I was lucky to ask for time off when I did. I had to remind my supervisor 4 or 5 times that I would be out of the country when she started assessing everyone's workload and assigning new projects. So I don't think I can change my dates to accomodate any additional EU shows.
Still, I have Tokyo penciled in. And that may be more than enough to look forward to for now.
I guess it's wait and see for now. I can't imagine they'd fly IY out to just do Paris, fly 'em back to Japan, and then fly 'em out to do other EU dates. But again, logic isn't always a factor.
According to their official schedules, I think Yossie's live show on 10/18 is the last public commitment for either of them in Japan before Paris.
[Edit: corrected Yonkies show reference as 10/10.]
-
^hmmm...
there ain't no way for me to make it to Europe this year or next, but i'm quite resolute about Tokyo-Nagoya...
and i kinda have the plan of becoming a tour groupie XD
i hope i can afford it...
thanks to me not being american, i still have to apply for a visa... and really, i'm quite scared for that part...
anyway, if i can make it, i hope you see ya! (i just finally connected your username to bubblegum crisis tokyo 2040... which is kinda inane of me cuz IT's RIGHT THERE! XD)
-

Maybe we should start an H&A Japanese Tour thread! And then we can all meet and greet and be H&A groupies!
(i just finally connected your username to bubblegum crisis tokyo 2040... which is kinda inane of me cuz IT's RIGHT THERE! XD)
XD That's too funny and timely! I had just finished my mega 9 year fanfic series a couple of weeks ago (there was a long break in the middle.) I had to choose a username of one of the original coolest and most underrated lesbian anime character -- before I discovered H!P. (Of course, being underrated was probably what made her cool!) I would've prefered Sylia cuz she had mega style but she had that Nigel thing. :smhid
-
@ds12: I'm planning to go, but I don't have the OK yet from my boss and from my professor. woo~ :ph43r:
Yeah, I can't be a hardcore tour groupie. Don't have the time or funds for it. Jumping at the chance to see h&A in Paris is bad enough for me. XD I highly doubt I'll make it to the Tokyo tour. :( I would've loved to meet truuuuuuuuuu.
LOL h&A Euro tour thread. Niiiiiiiiiiice!
-
@Linna2040: man, i bought the whole series of BGC T2040 on VHS... HOW COULD I HAVE MISSED THAT?! T_T
sylvia x linna x priss = tru_dead_to_drowning_in_own_drool
tru_fail...
@Kimuuu: we will meet someday, somehow... IshiYoshi will make a way... XD
...
honestly, i've been worried about that european tour shizz.. XD
like we gotta budget delegation, finances and shizz...
so that :hipheart: will always be there... i dunno...
-
Poked around the Gan-Shin site (and quickly realized my year of living in Germany a couple of decades ago was completely useless.)
But with the help of some online translation tools, it seems that they're announce 10/30 as the start of the H&A EU invasion. So at the least it means no new concert dates before then.
Oh, and @tru: I bought the VHS set too. 8)
-
^ they also have an English version of their website: http://www.gan-shin.de/2-1-news.html (http://www.gan-shin.de/2-1-news.html)
-
^ Oh duh. :P Look for the UK flag next time. Cearly not used to EU sites.
Um, but the English page lists their EU debut as November 30th... :? Thinking I'd better stick to browsing on the Deutsch side.
-
The German site says the same: Man sollte sich den 30.10.2009 gut vormerken, denn dann wird die HANGRY&ANGRY Welle Europa erreichen!
Maybe they know something we don't :huhuh
-
^ Ummmm. Isn't October the 10th month in the year?
-
EPIC!! :ptam-wub:
That's cool - tour groupie, that's the DREAM! As long as we got peeps repping it HARD for :hipheart: they will know. The dedicated lie here. From the ~Dan~ and Masa's who stay up late Euro hours to keep on top of news, to the Seattle Group who trailblazed the way for more and more UFA-related acts to come to the USA. We can't all be like Terrie. KIDDING!! :P
Linna, Kimmy, +u+u, elgie, BarrieV all set?? - I'm a send reps a jphip pimp package. Germany too Linna, hope u remember the place well. hehe.
Through all this, I wonder about Terrie. She's the gold standard XD
I wouldn't doubt if they just slapped em on the plane right after. Hotels cost as much as plane tickets XD like Yossi in LA. The girls are gonna be sooo busy :o
WERD. CDevil I remember flipping out with your crew. Hell, did we even interview you for JPHiP.tv?? Ping and his mic?
*Sigh* I even asked my sister if she can ask one of her friend's mom who works at the airport for a discount XD But she just said "Mom wont let you go". True . She wouldnt let me fly to Paris all by myself >.<. She'd just laugh, or scream.
awww...SO CLOSE... your sis isn't as big a H&A Fan?? Dun worry, we can rep it hard HERE.
I'm really STOKED for Europe. NOW'S THE TIME!!! Seize the MOMENT!!
I'm thinking, we keep piling up a scrap book of our adventures on these tours. Keep on going "eh! Eh! It's us again. Or more of us. Pink Heart. H&A :jphip:" kinda deal. Variations of our classic H&A shirt but with different languages. tru was telling me her students were saying dem shirts were SO PROFESSIONAL!!!
I was gonna suggest record a message and play it on an ipod but the handlers might toss you away.
I'm hoping they tour Spain, Germany, UK, and of course Finland!!! Get my homies all represented. FINLAND!! cuz me and Masa will be there claiming :hipheart: like no other. And Rika wanted to see the Northern Lights (which she can also see from my town too).
And no doubt ... make up the Asia! Europe! H&A Plan threads. We've written the Blue Print in Seattle and LA. Like I said in my drunken convos/speeches, THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNNING!!!!
-
^truly inspirational, boss...
jphip h&A tshirts looked so pro, jap students thought they were official merch! XD
:hipheart:
we will plant our flag on every nation h&A set their foot in!!!
i love this nation...
:jphip: and :otomerika: :yossi: FOR LIFE!!!!
-
WERD TRU!!! Every second I'm scheming.
I got word from Mae. Aya. and Mika are A GO!!! I'm gonna shoot you a PM. Linna. About Rooms.
-
Yep, pm'd back. (Paused in browsing through my brand new copy of Frommer's guide to Paris.)
More and more I'm feeling like I'm obligated to actually wear a jph!p T-shirt at the Expo. :jphip:
Oh, I'm also looking at digital cameras -- something compact and takes good impromptu pics. Video clips would be nice but not required. (I have one but it's a little too bulky for on-the-fly tourist and convention hopping.) Anyone want to rave about their model, please PM me!
-
:on lol: I think I teased you about T-shirt wearing in Seattle.
GREAT! Yeah my Sony W220 did the trick. but the T-series has better quality video.
How perfect. Rika playing right now on the radio.
-
^ Ummmm. Isn't October the 10th month in the year?
Sorry :nervous I've been tired as hell lately
Linna, Kimmy, +u+u, elgie, BarrieV all set?? - I'm a send reps a jphip pimp package. Germany too Linna, hope u remember the place well. hehe.
If they tour the Netherlands / Belgium / (West) Germany the roof is going off! :cow: We'll be there with bells on :P
-
Well, so I'll definitely be going all by myself. I'm still trying to push my contacts for some free accomodation, but I wouldn't count on it. Sooooo, let's keep on the cheap-hotel hunting! :D
-
What's with Dai's obsession for Finland? LOLz! But hell yeah!! PLZ bring h&A here, anytime
Even Rika mentioned Finland in one h&A's interview!! :w00t:
JROCK REVOLUTION: If you could perform anywhere, where would you go?
Hangry: Anywhere I can see the ocean.
Angry: I'd like to see the aurora! In Finland.
:twothumbs
Oh, and yeah I've booked a hotel room and sis bought Expo tickets already ^_^
-
I'm also browsing ordering pink and blue glow sticks. Trying to narrow down whether to get 6, 10 or 12 inches. (I think at Sakura Con they were 4 inchers?)
I want them to be noticable but not big enough to smack people or (at worse) fly out of your sweaty hands and nail either I or Y. I'm sure that would cause an international incident of bad proportions. XD
So if folks want to be part of my purchase, let me know so I order enough. :jphip:
Edit: No, I'm not asking people to financially pitch in. Unless there's going to be an insane amount of you and I have trouble getting them through customs.
Oh and Big D, thanks for the digi cam tip. Gonna check it out!
-
Well it looks like I'm going to have to take myself out of this trip. Have to be fair to my employees who want to take their time off & stuff. Oh well... But that means I get to make my return to Japan next year for sure. Hopefully the concert isn't scheduled anytime during the winter Olympics, before or after = good for me. During = bad.
To all the European folks and those making the pilgrimage from overseas, have fun! It's definitely a blast seeing H&A live.
-
Hangry: Anywhere I can see the ocean.
she's been here in Barcelona before.. why don't come back and show the city to Rika? XD XD
Anyway, I'm still thinking about going to Paris (probably I'd go with some friends) and I'd like to know if I could use the :hipheart: logo to make my own design for a t-shirt. It'd be great If I could meet some of you, guys
-
FO SHO!! len.chan - You can also request one of these!! srsly, I'm thinking of whipping up a batch order.
as seen by HiPstaz in Tour shirts from Seattle!!
Sakura Con 2009 - Mascot forms of hangry&angry (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuEIyQpgvuY#lq-lq2-hq-vhq)
my obsession with Finland +u+u? XD
cuz 3 of :hipheart: Crack Staff are from Finland, including my homie / co-founder / Finnish version of daigong: Masa!!! :pimp:
Way to go K! Stepping it up. i think we ordered 4 inchers, but mine flew away anyways XD Dinny used the wristbands and was effective.
More and more peeps going!!! YES!
Someone tell Hakai....
-
@ OpsMonkey: :( Sorry you can't make it. Tokyo then. And crossing fingers that it won't be during the Olympics. That would just be insane tourist-wise.
Whoa, does that mean I'm the only one from Sakura Con/AX travel group left standing? :O
i think we ordered 4 inchers, but mine flew away anyways XD Dinny used the wristbands and was effective.
So you proved my point that we shouldn't expose them and other concert goers to 12 inch pink or blue missiles.
Yep, gonna order some wrist bands. Guess I might as well over-order a bit in prep for the Japan concerts.
-
wow, im so close to going to this, just need the schedule to be released.. man from seattle to LA to this, gonna drop the hat trick Lol
-
After long hard inner debates I decided against Paris, I'm 10000% sure they will come to Germany and that's where I'll be going to see them
All the ppl flying in to Paris from God knows where, have the time of your life and keep the reports coming!
-
didn't they say that the concert tour will be in the spring?
... lol i'm not sure where i got that info XD
gawd would someone please release scheds now?
we gotta plan like mad!
@Linna2040: better there be one than none... i hope you don't run out of fuel for the next ones XD
:jphip: REPREZENT!!!
-
@Linna2040: better there be one than none... i hope you don't run out of fuel for the next ones XD
I assure you that after what my boss assigned me today, I'm going to NEED a break when the new year rolls around!
Also, dunno know if anyone else noticed this now that the Chibi Japan Expo site is back up, but on the H&A page (http://chibi-japan-expo.com/art-592-fr-invite_:_hangry&angry.html (http://chibi-japan-expo.com/art-592-fr-invite_:_hangry&angry.html)) they've added this blurb:
According to translation tools, there's an extensive tour planned for next year? :w00t:
-
I still honestly don't know if I'll make it to Paris... but I surely want a JPHiP shirt.
Daigong, would you mind adding one for me ?
I guess I must contact you by PM for the rest (payment etc...) ?
@ Linna2040
Yes, the french article talks about a big tour for 2010. :)
-
hahaha Linna, the string that is a wrist strap is useless.
I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO proud of ALL H&A Fans who showed up in Seattle. BLEW EM OUTTA THE WATER. with my limited french skillz.
WERD Wonderboy. We're gonna go PRO with the H&A T-shirts, feel of the AX shirts. 36 Order Limit. I'm cooking. I'm $$$

According to translation tools, there's an extensive tour planned for next year? :w00t:
 This was totally the wrong year to buy a condo... otherwise I'd be able to go to Paris and beyond! Next year isn't that great for me either.

/me sends package to Kristen tmr :pimp:
I'll believe it when it arrives. :P
Meanwhile, I'm realizing I have to place orders for my own beep, or they may not arrive by the time I leave for Paris.
Also, Folks, last call if you want me to bring a glowstick/glow bracelet set for you for the concert. If I don't have you down for a headcount, it doesn't get packed in my one suitcase! :huhuh
(I'm confirming this early because I'm placing an order for them tomorrow!!!)
-
uhhhhhhh I'll get in on a pink bracelet plz!
LOL daigong, I know exactly which tie you mean... wahaha!
Hmm Dokyu... I'll see what I can do about video stuffs. Hmm... Ahhh! So much to plan for! I need to think about this later... I have a presentation to worry about. XD
-
It's done and done K. Packed some stickers and business cards if u want :P
Oshit. I should get one of y'all to get Aya and Mika a T-shirt..... I dunno about printing more, gotta talk to tenkei. We'd need a min. of 36 orders to get em done. And how many are confirmed for Paris? or Future tours hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
What are y'all planning for presents? I've gotta brainstorm smth originaller.
Fuck - there isn't even a sked yet of events? Hope it drops soon...get up close and personal AGAIN :D
hehe. The lodging seems to be all set, nice to be included in that e-blast <333
-
Anyone knows the girls' shoe sizes? I've got a good idea for some presents but I don't want to screw them up :P

Guhhh, I dunno yet what gifts to bring. Too busy with life to think that much about the expo. T__T I'm open to ideas...
lol elgie, shoes? You know, I don't think I've ever seen any post their shoe sizes...
-
Anyone knows the girls' shoe sizes? I've got a good idea for some presents but I don't want to screw them up :P
If the internets are to be believed:
Rika: 22.5cm
Yossy: 25cm
For a conversion chart see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoesize#Adults (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoesize#Adults)

I'm thinking something along of the lines as a photo-essay-whatever thingy "We Stalking Ya!!" present.
Loser87 could make some custom kicks
http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=19705.0 (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=19705.0)
-
25 cm??? That's like almost a 40 EU size!!! I'm a 41, and I'm 10 cms taller than Yossi and have some friggin' huge feet :shocked
In other charts it marks a 39, which is more suitable. I would've guessed a 38, but I think I'll go for the 39.
In case you're wondering, I plan on giving them these shoes (http://www.que.es/archivos/200906/espardenyes_vetes-301xXx80.jpg)
They're typical in my country and extremely comfortable  Also, I know a very cheap store where I can get them for less than 15 eur each.

I'm thinking something along of the lines as a photo-essay-whatever thingy "We Stalking Ya!!" present.
you read my mind, daigong XD

I'm thinking something along of the lines as a photo-essay-whatever thingy "We Stalking Ya!!" present.
Hmm, maybe like a scrapbook-ish thing documenting our adventures from Seattle to LA? And including some stuff from the new group going to Paris?

I'm sorry Kimuuu, I dunno if I wrote but I didn't put the message in the frame at AX cuz I forgot my printer cable  and it printed all weird off the memory stick.
NOWS your chance to do it personally. :thumbsup
-
^WTF XD I already have hotel, flight ticket and ticket to the event XD And I even got few free days from work :twothumbs
So I think I'm going for certain :yossi:

Ah, yeah just PM me the message and I'll add it to...whatever it is I'll be presenting them. XD (Or if you already have a hardcopy, you can just snail mail it.)
Oh and fosho, I'll add that group pic of ya'll with the signed h&A poster. AWESOMEEEEEE.
Edit:
Looks like the CJE folks just put up some hotel info yesterday.

In case anyone still hasn't booked lodging...
Yeahhhh... HH is reppin' HARD in Europe! We'll still pimp JPH!P :jphip: cuz you guys have an actual logo and I'm sure h&A will remember THAT. :nervous

lol, Aoi is performing again.. does he live in France or something.
and Jelly Beans are performing!! Masa, these are the ones I talked about in the chat:
I met them during the Japan Expo (the AKB48 event), I regret not buying their picture sets.
I shouldn't have looked on the expo site :banghead: now I really want to go.
-
Yo, Big D! Got your package! (And thanks for the DVD's back! -- Hope you found a clip or two of Rika that you hadn't seen before.) :otomerika:
And got the notification that glow stuff is in the mail, and I found my passport. (whew!) Now it's just waiting... :jphip:

Well, anyone's up for some meeting for dinner in Paris? I've been searching some japanese restaurants which aren't too expensive, and some of them might be worth a try :D Also, many offer dishes other than the typical sushi and sashimi, which is perfect for those with allergies.
So far what I've found:
Higuma
R. Sainte Anne (there are dozens of japanese restaurants in this street)
It's very cheap and one of the favorites, though quite small. Canteen-style.
Aki
R. sainte Anne
A rarity in itself, it offers okonomiyaki!!!! not a lot to choose beyond that, though. There's a basement which can fit small groups.
Matsuri Richelieu
R. Richelieu
A kaitensushi type, it's got plenty of space but the prices go up the 20-30€ range.
Le Palais de Matsuyama
Bvd. Auguste Blanqui
Menu prices range from 17-20 but they usually offer 4 courses, which is a good deal.
Yasube
R. Sainte Anne (heh)
That's my favorite one!! Traditional canteen-style, but with a warm decoration - and a basement with tatami perfect for small groups. Also prices are quite good: 14-18 € for menus.
All these are generally in the center of Paris. I looked for some good addresses in the surroundings of the Expo Hall, but I wasn't quite convinced.
Well, anyone can give their own suggestions!!
-
OMGOMGOMG I SO WANT OKONOMIYAKI!
*ahem*
I just haven't tried that yet. ^_^;;
But Yasube sounds good, too. :D The good thing with the early closing times of the expo is that we can just go out for a late dinner in Paris, instead of trying to find something local.
-
ROCKIN Kristen!! Hope the T fits well. I did find plenty of old eps, classic games <33 mucho gracias!!
elgie what is your T size?? I'm a hook up a legend too!
hehehehe I'm grinning ear from fucking ear reading. werd up Kimmy, I'm a send u some shit. me and tru can brainstorm some more.
I SOOOOOOOOOO wanna see all the Yossir ERRRRRRRRR H&A fans ;P at a big group dinner pic!!! And Louvre. And Eiffel Tower. And Champs Elysee!!
AIGHT ...yea been busy with paper work here and jphip, momo planning! :sweatdrop:
I'll edit the Who's Going list My Dear Yossi /// my bad XD
-
mmmh, I'm not sure about american sizes, but I'd go for a Large just to be safe.
-
I SOOOOOOOOOO wanna see all the Yossir ERRRRRRRRR H&A fans ;P at a big group dinner pic!!!
You know, I really wasn't planning to do a con report. (Unless there's something magical that happens -- and I honestly don't think I can top my Y at AX story.)
But more and more I feel like I'm the only one who's going to be paying attention to Rika too. -- Though Kimuuu and I agree that having Rika sign her Sukeban Deka dominatrix pic would be awesome!!!
And I guess I should do a write up to help those that can't go live vicariously through us attendees. 8)

I don't mean to put any pressure on you Kristen, but yea, I'm pretty sure you'll be paying more attention to Rika than *I* will. I tend to have blinders on and just focus on Yossy during concerts (unless she's sharing a moment with Rika). :sweatdrop:
YO........ is anyone else getting more excited about Paris especially with the new shit up on MySpace? New pics and new song preview? Wooooooooooooooooooooo baby! :yossi: :yossi: :yossi: :yossi:

Hmmmmm. Doesn't this blurb on myspace sound like they're performing on Nov 1st?

SOOOO... from the sound of it, it's more like a fashion show rather than a parade. Fascinating. I wonder what the prizes are... maybe a photo op? hangry prize being a pic with hangry and so on? That'd be sweeeet. Too bad I'm not into cosplay. XD

i’m so excited... and i’m not even going!!!
it’s one of those things that just the mere occurance of makes me happy whether i’m there or not

Are a lot you guys who are going from North America? or Europe?
I'm from Toronto, but I'm gonna be in England from Oct 23rd to Nov 10th, and this sounds like the perfect opportunity to go. (depending on how much all of it costs) I missed out on Sakura con and Fan Expo so going to this would be amazing! If anything, I might take the train over to Paris and spend the day at the con. Does anyone know any rough details on the con schedule? Anyone here traveling to the event from London?
Sorry for all of the questions, didn't really read through this thread properly, but I'm so hyped up right now!!!!!
Definitely a maybe for sure!!! *has a heart attack*
:cow: :cow: :cow: :cow: :cow:
-
Wassup mia! Long time no see!
So far, it's just Linna2040 (Kristen) and I going over from N. America. Everyone else is already in Europe: tutu, MyDearYossi, elgie... and two others not on jphip/HH.
Unfortunately, the expo organizers have yet to release a full schedule. The only thing we know for sure is that h&A will be judging a cosplay contest on Saturday at 3:15 pm.
-
Ahh awesome, thanks!
Hopefully I'll be able to meet all of you if things fall through :)
I'm hoping most of the important events will fall on one of the days, since I probably won't be able to stay over the weekend. But the cosplay contest sounds interesting, I have an old Sakura Gumi (Yossie) costume I made years ago so that might be appropriate for the event! lol
-
Bear in mind that the cosplay contest is Visual Kei-themed, so a Sakura Gumi costume won't fit... unless you can make some wicked changes, which would be terrific :D
-
=O Lammeeeeee
I have craploads of visual kei/punk/goth/jrock clothing that would be epic =="
And I have craploads of gel/wax/hairdye too xDD
And craploads of experience in these stage [cosplay] competitions <__<
I should so just ditch year 12 and go to Paris xD
Dammittttt~ xP
Oh well, good luck to everyone who enters ^^
And no need to wish that the people who are going will have lots of fun
Cos we all know... YOU'LL HAVE TONNES OF FUN!!!!! =)
=D
-

There's no way I can pull off visual kei, so that's out of the question! lol Although my friend has a very nice Kagrra costume so I'll make her do it XD
(Still don't know if I can go yet) *crosses fingers*
-
AHAHAHHAHAHA CHILLLS with all the prep going on!!! ;)
Man it's October already  Time to get some shit whipped up.
Kimmuu can pull off the faux hawk, elgie use extra gel and BAM Visual Kei lolol
-
^ rofl!

IKR?! I get butterflies in my stomach every time I think about it....
lol Me doing VisKei? XD I don't think so. I don't want to look like an ass in front of Yossy. XD
-
XD -- Well it would certainly make her remember you! (Just don't sit or stand too close to me if you do change your mind and do it.)
And meanwhile, I'm thinking, what did you and Dai get me to commit to write?! I don't know the first thing of how to cover a viskei fashion show. -- I wasn't even planning to do a con report a week ago... (After all, I have porn to work on. But I guess IY are worth reprioritizing my personal projects...)

tutu, I might recruit you to use my Nikon to take pics in case there's a huge photo op. :ph43r:

^__^ Yeah we'll see how things go. I can't imagine DSLRs being that much different.
moh~ OCTOBER, HURRY THE FUCK UP!!!

Sooo it looks like my friend and I will be going for sure (still trying to figure things out) Have you all booked hotel rooms yet? I'm trying to read the site but I'm getting a little confused, we're thinking of staying at a hostel if there is one in the area. But if anyone is interested in sharing a room we might be interested as well.

AWWWW HELL YEAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! elgie was talking about hostels earlier in this thread... (or was it in the thread at HH? Gah.)
elllgiiieeeeee~

Heeeey :D
If you're under 35, you can try this hostel: http://www.aijparis.com/ (http://www.aijparis.com/) which is reaaaaaaly cheap and you can book a private room (it will cost a little more)
If you're older or, in any case, are worried about ensuite bathrooms, shared rooms and such... well we're staying at the hotel Armstrong: http://armstrong-paris-hotel.com/ (http://armstrong-paris-hotel.com/) , which is near the Expo and is sufficiently clean :) There the rooms cost right now 80 eur. per night (double, that is 40 eur. per person).
-
Lookd like CJE posted an HD version of the KMKM vid: http://www.chibi-japan-expo.com/nws-593-fr-decouvrez_un_clip_de_hangry&angry_ (http://www.chibi-japan-expo.com/nws-593-fr-decouvrez_un_clip_de_hangry&angry_)!.html
Also the blurb (according to translation tools) does seem to be promising a concert!
-
So it seems. :)
Ex-membres du groupe Morning Musume, les deux idoles super lookées de HANGRY&ANGRY vous attendent sur la scène de Chibi Japan Expo pour un concert pop-rock survitaminé !

Thanks elgie! We were only going to go for one day, but now we might just spend the entire weekend there *so excited* We found a couple of hostels that are really cheap and close to the event, so we're just making the final decisions now :)
Random question, assuming there will be an autograph session, what do you guys recommend bringing for them to sign?
I have all of Yossie's photobooks and Pucchi Moni/ Biyuuden/ MoMusu stuff but I heard that they only sign their names as "hangry" and "angry" so not sure if it would be worth it. I would love for them to sign my old school H!P stuff, I even have all of the Gatas "Sals" magazines , but I guess they will only be able to sign a couple of things XD;;
-

Having been through the autograph process in both Seattle and L.A., the biggest requirement that they emphasize is that it has to be official merchandise only. I think you're limited to one autograph (I didn't try more than that so someone else may have to pipe up on that but I only saw one in the few people I paid attention to.)
The other thing that they did in Seattle was have you purchase priority tickets (like a minimum of x amount, I think it was US $15 which was the price of the CD) but you can still get in line and wait longer without it. In LA you had to actually purchase an H&A CD to get an autograph ticket, which I believe sold out. Don't know what system they're going to do in CJE even though the official website promotes two autograph signing methods used at the Expo: lining up as early as possible and raffle draw (bad flashbacks on that last one for Sakura Con folks.) Of course, don't know what that ultimately means as the H&A method.
And yes, they're officially supposed to sign as H&A.
-
And yes, they're officially supposed to sign as H&A.
Supposed to... yes. But unless I'm going crazy, I thought I read fan reports from AX about Yossy signing stuff as Hitomi. KRISTIN!!! Didn't YOU write about having Yossy sign that old UFA pic and her actually putting her name on it? LOL
-
:P Well, I was trying not to brag and/or raise hopes because that episode was extremely circumstantial. But I know others who have been successful, at least with Y at AX. Don't recall if I heard any real-name signage happening at Sakura Con, but they were brand new to the whole H&A persona then and the "rules" were still being defined.
But for those of you who didn't know that story, the link is http://pkristen.livejournal.com/6341.html (http://pkristen.livejournal.com/6341.html) to my lj page. (Hmmm. Methinks I should add this HH...)
-
Ooh, by all means, go ahead. :D I made a new CJE planning thread since the original one seemed to have died. *kicks hosting company*
I'm hoping the rules will be lax in Paris. SO jealous of people who were able to get pictures WITH Yossy! I HATE YOU.
j/k
Sort of.
-
lol hey!! dun worry, I'm a Rika fan more :P I still  you Kimmy
XD!! super-vitaminized pop-rock concert! LMAO y'all gonna be growing 10 inches from all the mad jumping!! FUCK!!
That's true, rev2hd aka Dinny brought her GATAS jersey and they still signed H&A lol. I'd say get some photos, slip in some goods underneath. They really really admire and take notice what the fans have, even my free H&A poster they were like "Rockstar Energy drink Yum!" LOL
We gotta whip up some shit. I'm gonna commit to doing some stuff this week and next. How long did that package get sent, Kristen? Fuck, there's just not enough time to tweak the shirts...hmm.
-
Big Announcement, Folks: JPH!P GOT PRESS ACCESS!!!!
It was a team of at least half a dozen people across three countries (and three languages) to put together the proposal that was approved. :jphip:
I just HAD to brag because I'm very proud of everyone!
Don't yet know what extra information we'll be able to provide until we get there, but expect some good stuff!
They really really admire and take notice what the fans have, even my free H&A poster they were like "Rockstar Energy drink Yum!" LOL
I definitely concur. My experiences were all about seeing their reaction, regardless of what they sign. (Though the last bit is a very nice to have in my mind.) After all, the point is for them to see their fans, as well as an opportunity for you to meet them and show your support.
We gotta whip up some shit. I'm gonna commit to doing some stuff this week and next. How long did that package get sent, Kristen? Fuck, there's just not enough time to tweak the shirts...hmm.
Dude, how many t-shirts are you planning to send me? Now that I have to go press-mode, I may have to double my wardrobe on a couple of days. My suitcase spaces is getting tight.
-
Oh my oh my may I come innnnnn??????? PLEASE PRETTY PLIZZZ!!!!! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: I CAN SPEAK FRENCH AND A LITTLE OF JAPANESE TOOO!!!!!

Mmm I'll probably just stick with my H&A cd, I don't really want to travel with too much stuff anyway. I hope its just a line up and not a raffle draw :/ Thanks for the info :)

OMG How exciting!
Damn I wish I could go *cries*. I should really avoid this thread in order not to get too upset XD But then again I want to know all the details =P.
But a BIG CONGRATS to you guys!! JPH!P gets to represent yet once again!!! :otomerika: :yossi:
Are you guys allow to videotape? You're going to get to interview them right?
I wonder when the schedule is coming out too.
As for the autographs, I think what matters is that they signed it right in front of you and that you get to see them face to face. That experience alone is satisfying. But it doesnt hurt to ask for their real signature =D. Oh and dont forget to shake their hands <3.
-
Current press status (that we can make public right now -- yes, sneaky stuff is still in the works that I'll announce later. TEASER!!!)
As for the actual interview itself, we do not have it confirmed yet that we have a one on one interview with them. That confirmation is in process. We may not know for certain until we get there. But we want to put in the request as soon as possible so they know we're serious. At the least, we know if they hold general press conferences and other things that require special press access, we should be able to attend and give a report out on it.
For other people who'd like to come in as press, unfortunately, I'm going to have to say 'no'. Our request was based on being as professional as possible -- two of the three person team actually have official media affiliations so we could beef up our credibility that we're not only drooling fans (and yes, that includes me -- I really do have a press pass with a magazine). There are other things depending on our producing professional level coverage of them from this event, but I do believe in having as much fun as possible if we're able to have a sit down with them.
(Those of you who didn't know, there were experiences of fansites being turned down for direct interviews with MM at AX and we did not want to have the same experience happen here.)
And wow, I do believe I'm eating my own words and happily so:
You know, I really wasn't planning to do a con report. (Unless there's something magical that happens -- and I honestly don't think I can top my Y at AX story.)
-
I made a new CJE planning thread since the original one seemed to have died. *kicks hosting company*
Is the CJE thread in this forum?
No, this thread would be the "CJE" thread, if you will. I was talking about the CJE planning thread at HH.
-
Ah, my bad I thought you started another thread here XD;
-
H!O's Puppetmaster posted this on their board today that was apparently a direct response from CJE:
"The whole schedule of the artists will be online this Friday.
The Hangry&Angry concert is on Saturday and the autographsessions on Saturday and Sunday."
-
u guys are doing jphip right!! :jphip:
I WILL BE IN PARIS WITH YOU GUYS!!
....in spirit XD

Yatta! Now I don't need to be afraid of missing those :D

congrats for the press pass!!!
:hipheart:
as far as i know (which is derived from some soft evidence from SC), you can take footage but be subtle... like just put the cam on the table as if it's just lying there... when in fact... you are capturing the awesomeness... XD
but it's cool to have all sorts of hidden gadgets in case...
after this tour thing, we'll all be as equipped as FBI agents XD or maybe like CIA XD
... don't forget to namedrop all of us here XD

IKR? I'll be like, so yeah, any plans/desire to tour the rest of Asia and abroad? Philippines? Thailand? Australia? :D
Might have to take a trip to the spy shop in DC... :ph43r:

So it seems CJE has started to post a couple of pages that look like schedules of things that H&A are listed on. I won't bother with translation tools, I'll let our bilingual folks explain them. :)

It seems this page has more information about the location of the autograph sessions and the conference room. (Yes, I used translation tools this time.)

I just bought 2 three day passes for the con, so I can safely say that I am going now...CAN'T BELIEVE IT.
Just have to book the room and train tickets :P
Hope to see/meet all of you :)

Welcome! As the expo comes closer, I'm sure we'll post more formal meeting strategies.
Also, CJE just posted their concert schedule:
http://chibi-japan-expo.com/index.php?page=333 (http://chibi-japan-expo.com/index.php?page=333)
H&A wil be performing on Saturday (Halloween) at 2p! (And doing the cosplay judging right afterwards! AND signing autographs after that. Gonna be a busy day for them and us!
Also, info about the amphitheatre. Looks like max capacity for about 1,000 people.

^ I kinda hoped for an evening concert :/ Oh well, as long as there IS a concert it's awesome XD
Yeah, busy schedule.
-
Just test posting from Mylo. Stupid thing doesn't have a backlit keyboard. Lame. Let's hope the expo has free wifi!! Live reporting from Paris! :twothumbs
-
I was thinking of bringing my laptop, but I have a bad feeling that I might end up losing it :nervous
So hopefully there's an internet cafe of some sort in the area.
I'm thinking of staying in this hostel: http://www.hihostels.com/dba/hostels-Paris---Le-d-Artagnan-020001.en.htm (http://www.hihostels.com/dba/hostels-Paris---Le-d-Artagnan-020001.en.htm)
30 euros a night, not bad, and its about a 10 minute drive from the con, (30 minutes by foot)
I'm hoping there will be buses running in the area haha :otomerika: :otomerika: :otomerika:
Eeeeee so much to do before I leave! :cow: :cow: :cow: :cow:
*having too much fun with the animated gifs*

OMFG h&A speaking French is ADORABLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
The message is pretty simple:
IY: Hello, we're hANGRY&ANGRY!
Y: I'm hANGRY.
I: I'm ANGRY.
Y: We'll be waiting for you at Chibi Japan Expo.
I: See you!
BTW, Yossy looks HAWWWWWWWWT and Rika's so cute. :cow:
-
Is there already any info. on how to get the concert tickets :?
-
There is no extra cost for the concert. It's covered by the CJE entry fee for the day.
-
I know it is free, but there is a 1000 limit for the concert.
So i was wondering if there is a corner where you can get the tickets?
-
We're operating with the assumption that it's a case of line up and it's first come first serve for the room. So a lot of us will be arriving very early for line up and may be sitting through a couple of hours of amateur films.
Won't know more until we get there unless someone else has experience.
-
The concert is at 2pm, so I'm assuming people will be lining up early in the morning (or staying over night? XD)
Is the concert hall in the same building as the actual convention? I need to re-read all of the details again on the website, stupid babel fish!!
-
Yeah, everything's in the same (small) building. I'm down for staying in line all morning just to be up front, cuz daaaaaaaaaamn h&A live is SAWEEEEEET. I can't stress that enough.
-
I'm down for staying in line all morning just to be up front, cuz daaaaaaaaaamn h&A live is SAWEEEEEET. I can't stress that enough.
Oh Yeah! I think we already agreed to a blood oath on that at HH!
I'm not about to go that far without getting the best experience possible.
Hopefully I'm not going to wipe out due to the time difference... :sweatdrop:
-
I can only imagine haha, I've only seen pictures of the show they did at Sakura Con, but it looked amazing 0_0
I don't want to be stuck looking at the back of someones head (Which is what it was like when I saw Kylie Minouge last week LOL)
Slightly off topic, when I booked my hostel room, there were some interesting tips on the site about traveling in the area, apparently a lot of museums in Paris are free on the first Sunday of the month (Nov 1st) Including The Louvre - http://www.louvre.fr/llv/commun/home.jsp?bmLocale=en (http://www.louvre.fr/llv/commun/home.jsp?bmLocale=en) which is in our area. I'm really considering going if there is not much happening on Sunday :D
-
I'm OK for waiting in line all morning, but for mercy's sake, could we take turns? I can't stay more than 1 hour before I have to pee :D
-
Ummm. Don't know if it's different in Europe, but when we do big line-ups over this side of the Atlantic, as long as your group is hanging out to save your spot, you are allowed to go take individual bathroom breaks (and food runs!) XD
We'll just be sure to think of you first when someone starts to think of getting food. ;)
-
I'm still trying to figure out why they have nothing planned on Friday, maybe they're not even arriving until Friday night or something, ooo jet-lag. Need to check out what else is planned that day, since I did buy a three day pass after all, If I had known I would of just bought Saturday and Sunday passes :P
Anyone here cosplaying?
-

Need to check out what else is planned that day, since I did buy a three day pass after all, If I had known I would of just bought Saturday and Sunday passes :p
Well, some of us are hoping there are press things happening on Friday so these press passes are actually worth the hassle we went through to get 'em. Though from experience, they had pretty bad jetlag for Sakura Con and they had arrived a couple of days prior. But since they're going in the other direction, don't know how that will affect them.
But even without that, several of us are still going to the expo Friday morning to get merchandise stuff and autograph tickets. And then we're going to take off and do some touristy things.
There won't be time with the way the schedule looks on Saturday. And from experience, stuff ALWAYS sells out after a concert, so getting things Saturday afternoon is going to be pretty unreliable.
-
Ahhh ok, I thought the tickets and everything else was all happening on Saturday and Sunday. I guess they'll have a booth in the dealers room that has all of their merch? Did they have events all three days at Sakura Con?
-
I guess they'll have a booth in the dealers room that has all of their merch?
Based on the US experience, our best guess is yes.
Did they have events all three days at Sakura Con?
Yep.
-
Ah sounds good, thanks for the info :) Hope you get some good use out of the press passes!
Hopefully getting in line on time for autograph tickets won't be too confusing, but I'm curious to see if there will be a big turnout of fans.
-
I bought my expo ticket, so now I just need to sort out how and when exactly we'll be leaving (I'm heading down with Hello!Blog Paul but I think we've run into a few problems). Hopefully I'll see you guys there! If I see anyone with a JPHIP shirt then I'll say hi :D
mia-p are you gonna be in the UK on holiday? I'm in central London almost everyday so if you need someone to show you around give me a shout :) ...although it's not like there's a lot to see anyway lol. The LondonExpo is happening on the 24th-25th, but that's not very good.
-
Yup, I'm coming over with my friend, but we'll be staying with my relatives. We weren't even planning on visiting Paris but the opportunity came at just the right time :D If I'm ever in your area I'll let you know, thanks! :thumbup By the way, did you guys get your train tickets yet? That's the only thing left that we need to organize but I'm going to wait until we get to the UK.
-
NOICE SKED!!! Autographs, the feeling is indescribable guys!! You will be changed FOREVER!! I'm wondering if we can do a live call in like we did in seattle. At least keep us posted on the thread :D :D
LESS THAN 10 DAYS NOT EVEN HO SHIT :otomerika: :yossi:
I made up a card and y'all can all sign. It's rushed but fuck, I had to research arts & crafts stores/videos and forgo my manliness for this!! :D

:jphip:
-
I floated it on the HH board about doing something for jph!p radio. We might be able to record some verbal bits and send it via wma file (the file type that my perky new digital audio recorder saves as.)
I think Kimuuu was looking at Skype.
More to come, I'm sure! Lots to do!!! :jphip: :otomerika: :yossi:

I'm clearing up my sched and checking out my gear if we can do a show covering the event and just madly pimping h&a and IshiYoshi
i think it would be best to do the album launch party on the day of the concert (since it's going to be released on different days on the globe)
skype would be maddd awesome
yeah ^_^
GO TO CHUUCH, GO TO HEAVEN, SALVATION WILL BE YOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
We could gather together on saturday night for dinner and then do the show.
-
Hahaha post-concert show would be awesome. Just like in Seattle!
Yo TRU!
You know moar about Skype? I must admit, I have yet to check out all its functions... is there a way you can save Skype convos? As far as I know, we won't have access to a webcam, but I'll have Mylo, which lets me use Skype (voice/text only) and possibly an iPod Touch (for which I'm sure I'll have to DL some apps like Skype to beef it up).
Daigong, maaaaaaaaannnn you are awesome. I figure that's why you were watching that how-to-vid about pop-up cards. LOL Look at this crafty motherfucker. XD I see a loooooot of blank space on the bottom half of that card... I think the JPHiP/HH delegation can go ahead and fill that up for ya. ;)
GO TO CHUUCH, GO TO HEAVEN, SALVATION WILL BE YOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PREACH, SISTA! :shakeit: :otomerika: :yossi: :otomerika: :yossi: :shakeit:

*prays there's free Wifi at the Expo site*
If no free Wifi, I have it at my hotel. :cow:

Looks good! I like the vibrant pink and orange :D Am I the only Canadian going to this event? haha I should bring a flag or something XD
Anyhow, my flight leaves tomorrow, so just wanted to wish everyone a safe trip!!! Hope I get a chance to meet you guys (I'll be dressed in a Sakura Gumi costume at some point during the con) But if not, hope you all have an amazing time! :D And thanks for all of the helpful info! Hopefully I'll have some internet access before I get to Paris :otomerika:
:cow: :cow:
-
Bon voyage mia-p!!! I'm sure we'll see each other! Look for the small Asian chick and the tall blonde with rainbow flags! XD
-
(to everyone going) -- Keep an eye out for peeps with t-shirts or stickers with the jph!p logo! Big D gave me a bunch to spread around! Definitely come over and say "hi!" :jphip:

CJE posted formal schedules and maps.
Interesting thing to note is that the concert and cosplay contest are only half an hour each. :(
http://www.chibi-japan-expo.com/art-364-fr-programme.html (http://www.chibi-japan-expo.com/art-364-fr-programme.html)
-
Note that in the conference and autograph slots it says that photos are forbidden, whereas this doesn't appear in the concert slot. Would that mean that we'll be allowed to take pictures during the concert? :D
-
I'm incline to think someone oops'd, or (a little unlikely but possible) UFA suddenly became less controlling.
-
We only can hope. :P
Also, the Discount Manga stand is on the B50 stand at the ground floor. That is in straight view from the place the concert is being held on, so it wouldn't take us more than 5 minutes to get there, and then the escalators to the 1st floor where they're signing autographs are just in front of the stand. I hope we won't have to run :)
In case it would be necessary to hold a queue in order to get the tickets, I don't mind leaving and guarding some places once the cosplay contest begins. I'm not that interested in it.

Great thing that the manga stand, concert and autograph place are so close to each other :w00t: Now I'm a lil more positive of getting the ticket..

Useful tips...
x-posting from Hitomi Heaven:
I'm trying to figure out the building map.. where the f**k is the concert place?
On the left you'll see NIVEAU -1, 0, 1, 2. Those are the building floors. The concert area is the entire bottom level, level -1. The autograph room and conference room is on floor 1 (not to be confused with the floor where we will be entering the expo, which is floor 0.)
SCENE PRINCIPALE = concert area
SALLE DE DEDICACE = autograph room
SALLE DE CONFERENCES = conference room

Ooooooooh too bad!! :( I was looking forward that t-shirt... Now I'll have to prepare some cool gear for the meetup...
-
RUT ROH! Hmm, looks like I'll pack some construction paper and markers with me... Before I checked this forum, I printed out a quick collage of the HH folks to add to the card. I'll try to make something here at work (of course it won't compare to your card, daigong. ;_;).
DAMN Wolfie! Hat trick indeed! See you soon!
OK before I forget, if you're on twitter, you can follow my tweets from Paris at @3ND14P3. Make sure you @reply to me if you want me to reply back and answer your questions or whatever! Otherwise, I'll most likely miss your tweet.
As soon as I get to my hotel and get settled in, I'll report back here, HH and Twitter. ^_^
-
Now in Paris and struggling with the dang Euro style keyboard!!! Took me fifteen minutes to figure out why I couldn't log into jph!p -- it was a matter of finally looking down to see that the keys don't match up! XD
Anyhow, weather is great even by my So Cal finicky standards!
Looking forward to seeing everyone; including you Wolfie!!! :jphip:
-
Gonna shower then head down down down to the airport. See you and everyone else soon! Glad to see you got there safely, Kristen!
-
Hey Kristen is it very cold? I still don't know whether to bring my thick coat or a lighter one :)
-
^ Have an awesome flight Kimmmy!! and I'm a retweet dat twat shat SPREEEEEAD IT!!
aww don't worry elgie. I sent Linna2040 a ton of stickers before hand so y'all can stick those on your clothes, arms, face, XD
How's the weather, post some pix of the hostel when u can K!!! :jphip:
-
Current weather report as of this morning (had to sleep off some serious travel & time difference issues):
Very few clouds in the sky so no fear of rain, and weather sites seem to back that up.
I would not bother with a heavy coat, just bring layers.
When I go out tomorrow to go to the Louvre, I will post a more updated weather report when I get back in the evening.
Good night, folks! Have to use the hotel internet cafe since my laptop will not connect to the wifi, so my web connection will be limited.... Unless I am dealing with some serious time difference adjustments and come down to kill time, which is very possible. :sweatdrop:
Edit: elgie, when you get to the hotel, we can see if the original t-shirt Dai sent me fits you. If so, you can have it since it is easier for me to get replacement t-shirts from him, I would think. I can always get by on the stickers he sent me.
-
That's so cool that you are in Paris already Kristen! =D Good night!
For the rest, have a safe flight and enjoy h&A in Paris!!!! :yossi: :otomerika:
Can't believe that it's already the end of October!
HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Scream your lungs out in concert and try not to get hypnotized by Yossie and Rika's eyesXD.

If it isn't that much a nuisance to you... mmmh, I can bring some fine spanish wine bottle in exchange

I forgot to tell you, people, that i'm leaving in Paris suburbs.
But i didn't have any intention to going.... But now I'm wondering if for the sake of you fans, i shouldn't go and give a report.
Plus i'm a O!P member. I think it should be my duty!
Oh... Sadly, i won't be able to go, i'm working at that time.....
But i still can see some members that that participated and interview them!
BTW, any of you want me to guide you in Paris ?

Hi Nosomi! Probably not good to tell people you are that close and wasn't planning to go to the event! XD
But if you want to meet up, you're welcome to. I think right now we have tentative plans to go out to dinner on Saturday (after all of the events, so if you want to get an interview, that would probably be the best time.) But of course, we'll be there Sunday too if that doesn't work out.
BTW, any of you want me to guide you in Paris ?
Thank you for the offer but I think Kimuuu and elgie are planning to be our guides. I only arrived "early" so I can go to the Louvre so that should take up my whole day.
Anybody else in the group can speak up if you feel otherwise! :thumbsup
And yea!!!! my laptop now works with the wifi! No more typing and realizing that I'm writing up junk. 8)

I don't even need to explain it, you totally got the idea!
They are getting a vote because they have many hours of recordings of Japanese artists lives in Paris (i guess)
And the website let people choose their favorite, the artist they want to see the most.
Salut nosomi!! Ongaku! Project a la maison!!
The more JPH!P / O!P / HH / Etc. people meeting up the better! REMEMBER!! I wanna see many group photos and jphip :hipheart: signs XD in front of Landmarks hahaha Eiffel Tower, Louvre etcc.
WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Oh, so i have to get my own home-made sign too ! :welcome
I'll try my best to meet up with everybody and get exclusives interviews.
However i don't know how to do that. No previous experience.
Can anyone give me the guideline + the main questions ?
Thank you for the offer but I think Kimuuu and elgie are planning to be our guides. I only arrived "early" so I can go to the Louvre so that should take up my whole day.
Anybody else in the group can speak up if you feel otherwise! :thumbsup
I can meet up with everyone both days.
And about my choice not to go, it's because i've lost interest in h!p since long (i'm an "old fan" -considering both years being fan and real age-) and was never a big fan of them 2 :P2 (shocking desu ne~?)
Anyway, Everyone, have fun visiting Paris and enjoy the live !
-
Hey dai im actually leaving in a couple hours, imma prolly hit u up when i get there =]
See yallz soon!
-
^ Yo Wolfie! Fucking rights bro, don't get into too much trouble if ya know whatta mean!! XD
nosomi, kinda go "How was the Expo experience? What did you think of the concert? How did you melt into a puddle when meeting IshiYoshi? What is your favourite moment in Paris? How do you love JPH!P?" and so on.
EPIC!! Thanks for the heads up DS12 on the Sondage Orient-Extrême TV!!! I'll use all 50 email accounts and make some more! BWAHAHAHA

Hey everyone just arrived at my hotel, there was a change of plans so I'm now staying at the Armstrong hotel :yossi: We had a stressful journey from the train station, got lost on the subway and had to ask a few people for directions, haha but we are finally here! Not sure what we are going to do today just sleep probably haha. Hope everyone had a safe trip and I'll see you all this weekend
-
TheKueken and I checking in! Not a bad time getting here. gonna go out exploring our hood and find some grub. Btw, Kristen, I'll help guide ppl, but I def did no
t a chance to put together any kind of itinerary. ^^;;;
-
I'm heading off tomorrow, hopefully catch some of you guys out there!
Also, has anyone noticed the news on the Ganshin website?
http://www.gan-shin.de/2-1-news.html (http://www.gan-shin.de/2-1-news.html)
Trying to offer german fans the possibility to see HANGRY&ANGRY as well, Gan-Shin is working hard to bring this unique duo to germany, too! Interviews and autograph sessions are not excluded!
Looks like we may have another European date to look forward to at some point.
-
 Nice Paul. WOOOOOOOOOOO...nicely done chaps!! Say hi to TheKueken for me Kimmy, gotta fire up the twitter! Rep that :canada: mia-p
German tour stop!! Awesome ... Remember, buy CDs from your local shops and the sales will reflect the interest scales. Like all you Finns!! LET'S GET A H&A Tour Stop THERE
-
My plane is leaving in less than 12 hours. Gotta head for the airport really soon though, since it's too far away from my home  So I'll try to get some rest before :P
-
My friend and I arrived today, wasn't one of the best starts to a holiday I've had, but I'm now in the hotel and things are looking good :D We went and checked out the convention centre, the area looks pretty run down and the convention hall is right next to some garbage dump with a bunch of tramps living in it or something (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/corrosivedragon/icon_lol.gif) but I'm sure that won't affect anything. The actual venue looked decent from the outside.
Hey everyone just arrived at my hotel, there was a change of plans so I'm now staying at the Armstrong hotel
Yeah same here, our first hotel ended up being a bit too expensive on top of the ridiculous plane tickets so we're at the Armstrong hotel too :) Thanks a lot elgie for recommending it, we ended up playing free pool for a few hours XD
Mia you weren't one of the angry sounding girls using the computers in the basement were you lol?
btw will you guys be planning a meeting? I think a bunch of H!O members are planning to get together too? Not sure if you guys wanna join but it might be cool. No idea when though.
-
Mia you weren't one of the angry sounding girls using the computers in the basement were you lol?
LOL no, I've been in my room all day, we are really worn out from the trip so we've been lying around and sleeping haha. I brought my laptop so yay for free wifi! We also had a sour start to the day, had trouble finding our way from the subway line (what up with the doors that you have to open manually when you get off the train?? lol) and a lot of people were rude when we tried to ask for directions. I like the hotel so far, there was this really nice guy who helped us with all of our technical issues and gave us a Euro adaptor :) Anyhow, I will probably see you all sometime tomorrow :)
-
Hey All!
Well, with everyone arriving, guess I don't need to do a weather report now.
@elgie: Thanks for the offer about wine but we don't even know if the shirt will fit. (Plus, I don't drink alcohol -- but then some of our fellow groupies might!)
@kimuuu: don't worry about the itenrary. We're a loose group and I'm sure we'll play it by ear.
@dai: made a special picture for you at the louvre. once I figure out how to get it off my camera, I'll post it. :)
Welcome to other Armstrong Hotel people! :welcome
-
Ok we're turning in for the night. Had a fun dinner at the same place we had drinks earlier. Stupid pics were taken of course. :P Anyway, we are getting up bright and early to catch the bus and be at the expo site at 9, as previously stated, right Kristen? I will be on the lookout for you and Mae-chan. Kue and I will be proudly displaying our rainbow flags for easy ID. XD Can't wait to see the rest of ya'll!! :thumbsup
-
^ yeah, Mae and I plan to be there are 9. I'll be having some jph!p stickers plastered to my front and back shoulders over a black pullover for easy viewing. I'll also be wearing a black leather biker's hat.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
-
JPH!P IN PARIS!!!! Pic courtesy of Linna! :otomerika: :yossi:
Za_Wolf txt'd me he's already there, but lost lol. Hopefully y'all found each other!
-
You know, even though I took the pic and I've seen replicas and pics many times, I think this is the first time I realized that the Venus D actually had defined abs. Funny the things you don't notice when it's just "art".
And yes, I took several shots and got a lot of stares when doing it... The things done for jph!p branding. :jphip:
-
Sounds like you're all having fun. I'm so envious, I love going to the museums to look at the sculptures and paintings.
-
If you haven't been following my tweets, I just said we just got back from seeing Notre Dame taking a boat on the Seine to the Eiffel Tower and walking by the Invalides. good times. Tutu and her sisters came with us too! oh did. Jphip shot at the Eiffel Tower too. Lol.
-
Yeah, it's been fun but oh so tiring :P Strangely, it was mad cold as we were on the boat, but it's a bit warmer now.
Well I'm looking forward tomorrow! Get some sleep people ;)
Oh and in case someone's interested I'm thinking about visiting the chateau of Vincennes on sunday after everything's over. It's quite close to Montreuil and worth the visit!
-
ATTENTION PEOPLE IN PARIS WITH CAMERAS WHO CAN UPLOAD THINGS FROM PARIS:
Please take a photo of my girlfriend (TheKueken) and send it to me/post it. She has yet to send me a photo of her hair since she got it done several weeks ago.
Thank you.
EDIT - Thanks Linna2040!!!
-
man i ended up Lost in Translation on my way back to the hotel. Got mad lost and went around asking everyone and their moms if they spoke english lol none of them did but lucky for me some random guy knew how to speak, gave me directions and yet i still managed to get lost lol. even tho at one point i felt i was gonna be stuck there forever it was a fun experience none the less. I even went to this sorta ghettoish part of town at which i flipped a bitch and bounced quick lol. ohh well it was fun experience.
Anyone staying at Armstrong kno a quicker route? Kim mentioned taking the mono but i forgot exactly what she said and i havent taken that thing yet so i dont really know the procedures.
-
^ haha DAMN Wolfie. If you don't get lost, it AINT a :jphip: trip lol
I can imagine Kristen, they wanna know what the :hipheart: is all about!
So has everyone met up?? I wanna see group shots!!
/me hollas with almond
FUCKING HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Anyone staying at Armstrong kno a quicker route? Kim mentioned taking the mono but i forgot exactly what she said and i havent taken that thing yet so i dont really know the procedures.
Oh, you're staying at the Armstrong too?
If you don't know how to use the metro, it's not a quick and easy thing to describe how to do it though it's only one stop away. Unless you hook up with someone, you're better off getting online and going to the CJE expo to look up directions.
Also CDevil and his friend walked over this morning. I know they do breakfast and you might be able to hook up with him. There are a variety of wake up times for tomorrow's concert since we found out that they don't clear the room between events. So many people are not only planning to camp out before the expo opens, but sit through the amateur vids too.
@daigong: Yeah, not only were several people trying to figure out why I was taking pics of the stickers, but it was a serious timing issue of waiting for the EXACT right moment to get a reasonably clear shot. Picture the tourists as a swarm of bees surrounding a queen and you'll get the idea.
-
Hey it was cool meeting some of you guys today :D The expo was pretty sweet, I got too excited for Jelly Beans even though we had no idea who they were. Should be a good warm up for the main event!
Za_Wolf my friend and I are meeting Mia-P and her friend in the lobby at 7am tomorrow. Walking down to the expo should take about 15-20 mins, so you guys are welcome to join us :)
-
AwwWww wolfie! Well I'm glad you finally got back to your place!
Kue, elgie, aqua and her b/f and I are in line now. We are real close to the front of the line. Just half an hour to go!!
-
HELL YEAH!! Get those tickets!!

Yossy came back. Looks like she got food. Feed me~
about 3 hours ago from Twitterrific
Heads up to the ppl waiting downstairs, I heard that they might clear out the concert area after the first event.
about 4 hours ago from Twitterrific
I know you all hate us. I don't care. Mwahahhaa </bitch> Btw Rika's wearing a UCLA pullover with the number 19 on it.
about 4 hours ago from Twitterrific
Yossy walked by again and left the room. She's wearing white jeans and a puffy black jacket. Coooooooool. Rika's still here, tho.
about 4 hours ago from Twitterrific
It's amusing that Kristen has been giving me fashion reports on 1444 and she doesn't even CARE! Gaaaaah! ooh Yossy just walked by me again.
about 4 hours ago from Twitterrific
I hate Kristen right now. She is sitting across from me and has full view of 1444. Aldjdkksdkdkhdks

Hey there! Don't know if elgie called you yet but her battery died and she was trying to get a replacement to call you back.
Don't know if you'll reach this in time but at 7p a bunch of us are meeting at the Republic Station on the platform for Line 3 going in the direction of Pont De Leva.... Meanwhile, I think elgie is trying to get in contact with you to let you know what restaurant we're going to.
Big D/Kim: Okay, I just read all of the tweets. I feel like such a stalker now.... Does that give me brownie points for something?
-

From the concert footage, looks like they didnt mind filming and taking pics which is awesome!
Just saw Lady Madonna on youtube:

Wonder who were the lucky ones this time to catch their fans.
Cant wait to read more about your experiences! Loved reading Kim's tweets. Have fun on Sunday!
-
I think I can officially announce that the Paris gang is very tired but buzzed. And we're not even done!
Oh, and for the record, the event coordinators DID mind videos and photos taken -- Kimuuu and I were watching from the back as some people were stopped. I think because the people were in the middle of the crowd, they just couldn't be reached by the staffers.
-
AWESOME TIMES!!!!! Get a rest, y'all deserve it!!
I wanna see lots and lots of group photos, and more details on Rika's clothes. What pants she was wearing, etc. :9
none of the video posted was by us!! I SWEAR!!
yesh, I wondered how people got all the footage and posted em.
-
I was present at the concert. SO GREAT:wub:
I took photos&filming but the quality is not so great T-T
I used my cellphone's camera.
I'll return there today too ^-^
-
we're waiting in line to enter right now. Beeen here since 7:30, it's a bit rainy but not as colld as yesterday. Also, Wolf and I got some coffee and eclairs! That,s the best breakfast you can have in Paris
I have some pictures and a video from the cosplay contest, will post it once I get home.
Maaaaaaan, I'm having the time of my life! I hope they come to Barcelona some time so I can meet you all again :D
-
BONNE CHANCE!!
French coffee mmm.....Wolf is DA MAN!! Is he the only dude there? Or there's also CDevil haha.
hope to meet YOU TOO FINALLY elgie :D tres bien tres bien YumePouk!! MR MONKEY!!!
-
no, there's Cdevil and some other guys too. But we're mostly girls here.
We're currently sitting in the first row at the conference room. I hope we'll be able to stay until the conference starts since there's another conference before and I don't know whether they'll clear it out. I don't want to lose this awesome spot! :D
-
Elgie! Glad to hear that yossy read your sign! So you got your cellphone fixed?
We're back upstairs just sitting around. I want to go to sleeeeeep.
-
yeah my phone's OK and the wifi is working better than yesterday :) I want to sleep too, but it would be rude to do so during the butsu zen conference
speaking of which, it's about to start. There aree like, 7 people sitting on top of the table right now? Weeeeeeeird... :shocked
-
the Q&A just finished, I can't believe it lasted almost a full hour! I got to ask 4 questions, one in behalf of Kue (and I got Yossi to look at her on the way :lol : ) and also helped Cdevil to translate his questions.
Also I recorded an audo for the whole conference, don't know if I'll be able to pull something out of it but anyway, I'll post a report as soon as possible.

It's over. :( The weekend ended much like in Seattle: us and our Japanese friends roaming the streets in the rain, not exactly knowing where to go, then spending hours over dinner talking about the expo and H!P in general. Awesome bonding time. That's the stuff I look forward to and enjoy just as much as seeing hANGRY&ANGRY.
Many, many thanks to Kristen, Daigong, Matth, Dinny, Mae-chan, Kue, elgie, aqua, Chris, tutu, MyDearYossy, Kaisa, Mika-chan, Aya-chan, Nao-kun, Tomo-kun, Wolfie, Paul and anyone else who I've forgotten or didn't meet, but nevertheless contributed to this unforgettable weekend.

Trying to do my last minute packing and realized I should also make my public farewell and thanks, though the trip hardly feels over for me.
I know I promised folks my own trip write-up and well.... when I'm back in normal waking/sleeping hours in America and can think clearly, I'll see what I can produce. (It took me about 9 installments over two months for Sakura Con, remember? And I didn't even do a quarter of the activities I did this time!)
For the people who helped us get press passes and creds that resulted in some amazing memories:
Big D (of course!), Matth, Kimuuu, Mae, Bill, David, and Little D!
And of course special thx to Kimuuu as my partner in crime for most of the event.
And thanks to everyone who was able to make it (I should just copy and past Kimuuu's list here), and to those who couldn't but gave their support. Next time!!! :jphip:

What a concert! I was in 1st row so Hitomi and Rika looked and smiled at me more than once!! I'm not joking Hitomi fixed me with her huge eyes during at least 5sec it was terrifying, but what a good memory! For the authograph session some might be angry because I managed to have my autograph...without ticket or CD of 16euros! I was just told to go at the end of the line and success, they let me pass! Unfortunately, I was with my 2 sisters but they refuse to let us pass together, even for signing just 1 paper. They even told them (my sisters) to not watch at me while I was with H&A, and the reason is "it's for the security"(we didn't want to eat them!!) So I had to pass alone but all had gone so quickly and as I didn't know what to say, it wasn't that outstanding :S I was just a little surprised to notice that the traductor next to the girls was more happily surprised to see my drawing (and also very kind to let me give them the drawing face to face not by putting it on the box) than them but I don't have to complain because I should had have...NOTHING haha! Morality, you always have a chachachance!!!!
PS: Here is the Holly Graal (the photocopy of my drawing, the real one H&A have it):

At the airport killing time and burning the rest of my Euros. My head is still trying to process what happened this weekend. I can't believe it's already over!
As always, Yossy and Rika are even more stunning in person. *sigh* I can't wait to go home and go over all my stuff and start writing about my experiences.
Thanks to everyone sharing their vids and rips from the show! I'll probably wait til after I do my write-up to watch them. I don't want my memories to get more mixed up than it probably already is. XD

Yeah, I noticed they placed the box on the floor next to the line where people were waiting. On Saturday the box was on the table, so I thought they won't allow me to give a letter to Yossy face to face. Surprisingly, the dude didn't take the letter and I could give it to Yossy and explain that it's from my friend, from Finland :twothumbs I dunno if Yossy even understood or heard what I said but She raised her eyes to me and said "aa-aahh" :D
Both times after I got the autograph, my hands were shaking and face burning hot XD

:D
This was my first time to actually get to chat with these guys and I was happy for that, they're really cool people and even tho the language barrier was there (no Maechan to translate lol) it was like playing a game of charades with lil english and japanese here and there lol. Good times. They got to show me their Yossie goods as well as Yossie vids they uploaded on their phone. I was trying to tell Tomo (other guy in the pic) that i swore i saw him somewhere.. that he looked familiar. He wasnt at Seattle nor LA so i told him i think i saw him on a tv or game show lol.
Here are my goods..

Hi All,
As some of you remember, we had announced that we had press passes and so you might be wondering, "just what the heck happened with that?!"
Well, here's the big announcement:
Dai and I are in the process of launching a news hub that will be part of jph!p's news section as well as a sister site to jph!p called 'OGfuture' at ogfuture.com, which will be the site I'll manage. The site will focus on providing jp concert and music release info for english-speaking supporters around the world. And we're not just talking H!P related acts. ("OGfuture" = "OnGakufuture")
As part of our site launch, we're doing special coverage of H&A at CJE, which will include pics and vid clips that Kimuuu and I took. And this will be OFFICIAL stuff -- UFA will approve all material that we will post!
Right now, I urgently need someone with video editing skills to help create a sort of OPV of vid bits that I had captured for the three video taped events.
PM me if you're interested. (btw, we're broke fans so there's no money involved -- we paid to get ourselves to Paris after all!) But this will be a professional site to show we're serious about spreading the word of japanese music and acts!
Please also send me links of vids you've done if they're available so I can validate your experience.
Thanks! 8)

Well, I'm done translating the WHOLE Q&A session (except for some parts that I couldn't understand lol)
For clarification, I'll explain that al the questions and answers are numerated so, if you find some number missing, it means that I couldn't understand the question nor the answer. In other cases I just put the question or the answer in case someone may understand what they're talking about. (I'll upload the whole audio later).
H= Hitomi
R= Rika
A= a conjunt answer or perhaps I couldn't remembered which of the girls answered the question.
All the parts in quotes are untranslated to give the text a more lively feel.
The parts within parenthesis are my own.
Q1: When you're recording a new song, are you given specific instructions or do you sing more in free style?
H: they make the recording first and then they meet with the producer to polish the singing aspects.
Q3: After having recorded a new version of The Peace, are you planning to version other H!P songs?
H: There's nothing decided, but we'd love to. She asks the guy whether he has some song in mind. He answers he has no idea.
Q4: Do you have time to continue practicing with Gatas, and have you ever thought of forming an H&A futsal team?
H: didn't catch much of this, something about how there's no H&A team.
Q5: How did you become H&A?
H: They already existed as characters of a collaboration between Gashicon and H. Naoto. The host comments that they're the human embodiment of the characters.
Q6: Do you plan to come to (some convention in Toulouse)?
R: We'd love to go everywhere we're invited to.
Q7: Have you planned to dub an H&A anime?
A: we haven't that one planned, but it would be quite a challenge.
Q8: What moved you to go from Pop to Rock?
H: In Pop, she's Hitomi Yoshizawa from Morning Musume. In rock, she's Hangry. She separates both things because they're different.
Q9: Did you design the T-shirt that was on sale as a limited item?
H: Yes, I did design it for a special live held in Japan, the One Man Live.
The translator askes the guy whether he liked the shirt. He answers he did; Hangry replies "merci".
Q10 (Cdevil): What do you like and dislike the most about H&A.
H: Rika is cute and also very easy to understand, like when she's hungry she's hungry, and when she's sleepy she's sleepy. But she also gets angry easy because of that, so that's what she dislikes the most of her.
R: Yossi is like an elder sister, an amazing adult. What she dislikes the most is that she eats too many eggs.
Yossi replies that she only had 2 eggs that morning.
Q11: What places have you visited while in Paris?
H: Arc de Triomphe, Tour Eiffel, Champs Elysees, and we also had a stroll along the Marais (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Marais).
R: While we were visiting the Louvre we saw the Mona Lisa and the Venus of Milo, and H. was impersonating their poses.
Q13: It's my birthday and I'd like you to sing a capella some H&A song to me.
H: We can't sing right now (some excuse about the mikes) but we can say: "Happy Birthday!"
R: She asks the girl if she's wearing a costume from the Manpower PV. The girl says yes and R. replies "Kawaii!"
Q14: What's the difference between french and japanese fans?
H: They're equally passionate, but although french fans can't understand the lyrics, they communicate through the music.
Q15: Asks to Rika whether her attitude is like that naturally or is it a posse for the group
R: She's not like that at all. The audience applaudes and she says "Happy!"
Q17: Why have you released a special european version of the album?
H: There are 3 reasons (I couldn't pick that part)
Q18: Do you like french food?
R: Bread is very tasty.
H: Wine too.
Q19: Wolf asks them to say "Kill me, kiss me" so that the audience can reply back. There's some confusion as neither the girls nor the audience understood the petition but in the end they figured it out,
Q20: What's your favorite H&A song?
R: I like them all, but I listen to Sadistic Dance a lot.
H: Sadistic Dance too
Q21: Aqua asks if they plan to go to London
H: "I want to go"
Q22: Will you sing in french?
R: We haven't thought about it but it would be a challenge since it's so difficult
Q23: Dou you spend your free time together?
H: Yes, we go eat out together, I visit Rika at home and we go to karaoke.
Q24: What's your favorite music?
H: Michael Jackson, Nirvana, Madonna, and in french Jean ?
R: I listen mostly to japanese music but also foreign music, and I like France Gall
Q25: Could you say something in french?
R: "Bon jour, merci beaucoup, oui!"
H: "Mon amour, s'il vous plait, je t'aime"
R: Is that OK?
Q26: Does Rika still practice the Y Balance with the yoyo?
R: Yes, "sometimes"
Q27: Will you make a collaboration with a french group?
A: We'd like to.
Q28: Do you like your job or would you prefer doing something else?
R: (just picked something about auditioning for MM)
Q29: The host asks something. Rika replies that she has come to France to learn french
Q30: Will you make an H&A themed photobook?
A: We'd like to.
Q31: Yossi's been in Barcelona some time ago, what did you like the most about it?
H: Ronaldinho
Q32: Do you keep in contact with MM?
H: Yes, we mail and call each other.
Q33: What do you think about french fans?
A: We're very happy because they're very friendly and warm
Q34: (Couldn' understand the question)
A: After the next album is out, we plan to do a world tour.
Q35: What did you think about the cosplay contest?
A: They were very classy and cute.
Q36: Did you know about the existence of french fans before coming to the Expo?
A: From the Myspace page you can monitor the procedence of the visits, so they knew there were a lot of fans in America and Europe.
H: She explains that during saturday's autograph session a guy (Wolf) wanted them to sign an old photo of them. She was surprised, but it also was very embarrassing.
Q38: Have you already decided the next stop of your tour?
H: I just watched a video about the Tour de France and I want to visit all the places that appear in the video.
R: I saw some images of Cannes in the TV; I think it's a magnificient town and would love to visit it.
Q39: One question for Rika: are you still scared of chicken? And to Yossi: since you're so cool, what do you feel about wearing pink clothes?
R: I'm very scared of birds, and since there are so many pidgeons in Paris , I was terrified while we were walking along the Champs Elysees.
H: I don't like pink at all and (something about wearing a skirt)
Q40: Will you make a video about your stay in Paris?
A: We'd love to, and in case we do please check it out on our Myspace page.
-
R: Yossi is like an elder sister, an amazing adult. What she dislikes the most is that she eats too many eggs.
Yossi replies that she only had 2 eggs that morning.
You know, this is hardly the first time Rika has complained about Yossy liking eggs too much. I'm coming to the conclusion that when someone eats or drinks something that it gets to the point of annoying you, it's probably because you're dealing with second hand smell or taste.
-
Edited to correct a couple of things I hadn't understood at first. Also added a link to the Wikipedia's entry to Le Marais so you know why people were laughing at that answer
-
Thank you @Elgie
it was I who asked the question about the photobook ^-^ and
I can help you with the last part of Yoshi answer at the 39th question ^_^ about wearing the skirt
«she feels strange when she's wearing a skirt. she doesn't really like to wear that»
-
Q10 (Cdevil): What do you like and dislike the most about H&A.
TWO EGGS IN ONE DAY?! that's not healthy, yossui...
LOL!
Q23: Dou you spend your free time together?
H: Yes, we go eat out together, I visit Rika at home and we go to karaoke.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! [/party]
Q26: Does Rika still practice the Y Balance with the yoyo? (and yossy?)
R: Yes, "sometimes"
FIXED
Q39: One question for Rika: are you still scared of chicken? And to Yossi: since you're so cool, what do you feel about wearing pink clothes?
R: I'm very scared of birds, and since there are so many pidgeons in Paris , I was terrified while we were walking along the Champs Elysees.
H: I don't like pink at all and (something about wearing a skirt)

Heya,
I'm back in England we arrived yesterday night. Ahh what a crazy 4 days! I don't think I can sum it all up right now, it was very overwhelming but we were able to do everything that we were set out to do. I got a front row spot on the right hand side at the concert (no pictures unfortunately) An autograph ticket, where I was able to give them my art, and saw most of the main tourist spots in Paris.
But I have to say the best part of the trip was meeting all of you!!! As well as meeting some great people from the Hello!Online forums :) !
When it came to meeting Yossie and Rika, I was so nervous and flustered that I completely chocked, I could barely say anything and just handed over the drawings and said "present" lol I remember Rika looked really surprised and said, Merci, and I somehow blurted out something like "I'm from Canada" so the translator told her and she again looked surprised. With Yossie I honestly can't remember what happened, I was so nervous my mind went completely blank and I was trying so hard to keep my composure. I just hope she liked what I gave her. Overall it was very embarrassing for me and I'm not sure if I made a very good impression, so I was kind of bummed out afterwards. The second time I went was near the end of the session on Sunday, again, I just stood there paralyzed and managed to utter a "konichiwa and arigatou" Ugh, I was such a nervous wreck, I have to say I didn't really enjoy those parts, because I couldn't be myself and wanted to say more to them, the staff were rushing the whole process as well :P I also had some old school H!P stuff for them to sign but decided not to last minute, but I heard from other people that if you ask they will sign it with their original names >_<
I guess I just wasn't really prepared :P
But anyhow, just wanted to thank everyone for the great memories! It would not have been the same without you :)
I will try to post some photos sometime this week.
Also, thanks, elgie for posting the info from the Q&A session I ended up visiting The Louvre (it was free on Sunday) and didn't make it back in time!

Now taking CJE reports submissions for posting on ogfuture/jphip news hub!
Wooooow being a journalist was my dream as a child :w00t:
I'd love to make a report, but it's hard to be original and even harder when english isn't your first language.
We're not asking anything "original" other than tell your story and feelings from the event. Just like you would here or any other message board. We'll polish it a bit when we get it if we need to. 8)
In fact, if you've aready posted a report on a msg board or blog, go ahead and submit that with the required reference information.
-
OK, in fact I'm still due a report for another site, although it's in spanish and I should translate it.
-
loving the group pic and yep the dude in the glasses is in me :)
Was good meeting up with you guys!
Kimuuu it ok if I steal the pic for a blog post?
-
Hey, it's no prob, Paul! :D
-
Finally had some time to recover a bit, but now I'm suffering from post-H&A depression. Even though it may have been just briefly, it was really great meeting some of you guys (especially the ones who stayed at the Armstrong hotel: Kristen, Mae, Mia-p, Sharon, Elgie and Wolf) . It was what made Paris such a great experience because tbh the area of Paris we were in sucked ass and depressed the shit outta me. Here's the stuff I came back with:
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/corrosivedragon/th_expogoods.jpg) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/corrosivedragon/expogoods.jpg) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/corrosivedragon/th_expogoods1.jpg) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/corrosivedragon/expogoods1.jpg)
Anyway thanks so much for all the pics, vids and reports!!! I appreciate it greatly :)

That sounds cool, I'd love to help out but is there a time limit? I'm too damn lazy so probably won't get a full report up until late next month (I still haven't finished my AX ones and that was 4 months ago  ).

Well, technically, no, there isn't a deadline. We'll add to our H&A at CJE section if it passes the submission criteria. But you can submit it in sections if that helps. However, currently people are on standby to help process submissions and those people may not give it a priority if we have another event to cover at that time.
Also, a clarification question was asked if you had posted a report on a blog or fansite that contained any info that violated our submission rules: Are original postings expected to be cleaned up before being accepted?
The answer is no: I believe you should have full freedom of expression as you normally do in your blogs and forums. It's just material posted in the OGF/JPHip news section will need to meet the "general audiences" and legal material standards.
-
nice elgie! yeah. so that's what y'all look like :D
haha CDevil, I gotta finish my Sakura Con report. I will get it done ASAP.
Digging that desert scene H&A photos..............
My fellow japanese Rika fangirl  added some fixings to the Q&A japanese answers, so I slipped in elgie's questions - it's half done lol, but WHOA I like Question #12 :shakeit:
Q1 When you're recording a new song, are you given specific instructions or do you sing more in free style?
hANGRY: basically, we sing the song by ourselves. then, after we listen it, the producer and we exchange opinions each other, like "why don't we do like this more?", in a vocal booth.
Q2
hANGRY: i want to do it. i (we) will try hard to make it, so please wait.
Q3 After having recorded a new version of The Peace, are you planning to version other H!P songs?
hANGRY: i want to release it.
ANGRY: i want do it.
hANGRY: we haven't decided yet which song we'll do. however i want to try it. for example, which song do you prefer? ...(wait an answer of the questioner and he couldn't answer)... haha~... you don't know about morning musume songs...
Q4 Do you have time to continue practicing with Gatas, and have you ever thought of forming an H&A futsal team?
hANGRY: no. in Gatas... if we play futsal with this dresses, maybe people say "don't do it!"
Q5 How did you become H&A?
hANGRY: originally, there's hANGRY&ANGRY as characters, fashion brand"h.NAOTO" and GASHICON's animation are collaborated. then, hANGRY&ANGRY (means hANGRY&ANGRY" f ") was born.
Q6 Do you plan to come to (some convention in Toulouse)?
ANGRY: now, we don't have a plan about it. however, if we have an opportunity, they(you) call us, we want to come again.
Q7 Have you planned to dub an H&A anime?
hANGRY: now, we don't have a plan about it; however, if we have an opportunity, i want to challenge it.
Q8 What moved you to go from Pop to Rock?
hANGRY: expression of pop, Morning Musume's Rika Ishikawa and Hitomi Yoshizawa. expression of rock, hANGRY&ANGRY.
Q9 Did you design the T-shirt that was on sale as a limited item?
hANGRY: well~... Hitomi Yoshizawa-san(i don't know why she put "san". maybe flattered~) designed it for a live held in Japan. merci~!
Q10
hANGRY: her good point is cute and easy to understand. when she's hungry, she expresses hungry. when she's sleepy, she expresses sleepy. on the ohter hand, she is too much easy, and always gets angry, isn't her? she is angry when she's hungry. she is angry when she's sleepy. so (the answer is) cute but to be angry easy.
Q11 (Cdevil): What do you like and dislike the most about H&A.
ANGRY: in my opinion, hANGRY is mature, opposite to me. she is self‐possessed. counting age, i'm an elder sister than her; however, she is like an elder sister, and self‐possessed at all than me. she is reliable person. one little thing i feel uneasy is "eat too much eggs".
hANGRY: i already ate THREE eggs since this morning. boiled egg!
Q12 What places have you visited while in Paris?
hANGRY: Arc de Triomphe, Tour Eiffel, Champs Elysees, and Le Marais.
ANGRY: Angry visited the Louvre. saw the Mona Lisa. did the same pose as the Venus of Milo next to real one, and took photos of it from both of front side and back side.
Q13 : It's my birthday and I'd like you to sing a capella some H&A song to me.
hANGRY: well... we can't sing right now. so say Happy Birthday from both of us.
hANGRY&ANGRY: happy birthday!!
ANGRY: could i ask her "today's costume is the manpower's costume, of morning musume?"(the questioner said "yes". then) ah, cute<3
Q14 What's the difference between french and japanese fans?
hANGRY: Japanese fans are very hot. also French fans are very hot, equally. the difference is french fans can't understand Japanese but they liven up. so we communicate through the music together. (the questioner said "thank you") your welcome.
Q15 Asks to Rika whether her attitude is like that naturally or is it a posse for the group
ANGRY: me? ...i don't think so...(flattered)
hANGRY: she's not shy, not at all!
ANGRY: i became having stage fright~...
hANGRY: no,no. she doesn't~
ANGRY: happy?(with "happy pose". then fans answered "happy") oh... i'm happy~ merci~<3 yes...oh,Oui!
Q16
ANGRY: i have a plan about it, so please look forward to it.
Q17 Why have you released a special european version of the album?
hANGRY: we heard that chibi-japan expo is very cozy(in the good way. she said "at home". it's Japanglish), so we wanted to go here. and we release new album. in myspace.com, visitors from Europe's view counts are very huge percentage of all our counts. so we wanted to do concert in Europe. we wanted to meet you guys. that's why we chose this event.
Q18 Do you like french food?
ANGRY: bread is very tasty.
hANGRY: also wine is tasty.
Q19
Q20 What's your favorite H&A song?
ANGRY: every songs~
hANGRY: yeah. i know we like all of them~
ANGRY: i like every songs but which song i hear by myself the best is "Sadistic Dance".
hANGRY: ahhh
ANGRY: do you either?
hANGRY: yeah. "Sadistic Dance"

Ahhhh, this translation helped me understand some questions better :) I'll fix my own translation when I have some free time (like, next month maybe? )
-
Hey guys!
First post here :w00t: (I created an account some time ago but then didn't get to post, sorry...)
I haven't had the time to read the whole thread so gomen, but I just saw the questions from the conference, and there was a little mistake in the report for question #39. Since I was the one to ask it, and I payed particular attention to the answers, I thought I could give my contribution in making the report more accurate :)
Here is what they answered (at least according to the french translator that was there):
Q #39: To Ishikawa-san: I know you used to be afraid of chickens, are you still afraid of them?
To Yoshizawa-san: Since you have this cool and boyish image, how do you feel having to wear pink clothing as Hangry?
A: Rika: I'm still afraid of chicken. Indeed when I was walking in the streets in Paris (I don't remember if it was the Champs Elysees or not, sorry :/ ) I was really scared by all the pigeons.
Yossie: I don't have any problem with pink, but I must admit that I still don't feel comfortable having to wear skirts, sometimes (that was the thing that I wanted to correct).
Anyway, I hope this will be the start of me posting in this forum that I've been checking every now and then. I had a great time at the expo (I was hanging with the ppl I had met from Hello!Online, some of which you went to the jap restaurant with: Miya-p and Sharon, CDevil, John, Paul), but I didn't actually get to talk with anyone from jph!p (I must admit I was a bit shy ).
Well, next time maybe? :D

Hey guys!

Soooooooooo tired and am glad I made it home in one piece. I will try posting all of my photos soon (Although I didn't really get any good shots of Rika and Yossie) I love all of the photos that everyone has shared so far!
I miss all of you! :jphip:

Durrrh, I posted the first part of my report at HH but not here.
Here ya go...
Part one of my Paris report. :D
Over a month ago, I jumped at the opportunity to see Yossy and Rika again... in Paris no less! I waited patiently until it was finally time to depart and fly off to France. Undoubtedly, I was anxious about the trip, but I wasn't as excited and giddy as I was before SakuraCon in Seattle. Perhaps it was due to the new circumstances that surrounded the trip.
A little over a week after I confirmed my flight to Paris, I got a PM from Daigong with a link to an online application for Chibi Japan Expo PRESS PASSES. I was stunned; the thought never even crossed my mind! Daigong had PM'd Kristen and I since we were the only h&A "veterans" going to Paris. Naturally, I took Dai up on the offer to rep JPHiP as a member of the press. Over the following week, Kristen and I and our support team worked on a solid proposal for press passes.
Our work paid off and we were rewarded with press access at CJE! I mentally did cartwheels once I received my e-mail confirming our press accreditation. Then I had to hunker down and focus on gathering and testing all the equipment I would need for "the job". So at the time, I wasn't really worried about meeting Yossy again and what I would say to her, I was more worried about getting decent photos of them at the expo. Never have I done concert photography, so I felt a lot of pressure. I looked up tips on the internet, asked my photographer friends for help and even e-mailed an acquaintance who took pics at the h&A show in Seattle. Despite my crash course in concert photography, I still was anxious about the whole thing. I worried about ALL of my pictures ending up as rubbish.
Anyway, now you have a bit of the back story. Let's skip to Friday, the first day of the expo. I think Kue and I got to the expo at around 9 AM, which was when I was supposed to meet up with the rest of my press team: Kristen and Mae. As we were walking along the metal barriers to go to the end of the line, we ran into Mae! She was looking for her friends, Aya and Mika who had her ticket to get in, but stayed at a different hotel. Mae then told me that Kristen was already in line, so we continued on and queued up. Kristen left her spot in the line to join Kue and I and we chatted to pass the time. Mae periodically came back to check on us and give us her status on her expo pass. Fortunately, Aya and Mika came through eventually and all was good. While in line, we also saw elgie and Wolfie.
Once the doors opened and our tickets were scanned, we made a beeline for the Discount Manga booth. We were greeted with no line and a bunch of new h&A swag. The first thing I noticed were the new pics of h&A in the desert. I was stunned by the style of the pics, it was like... something out of a PB. :D LIke I said, there wasn't anyone else waiting in line to buy anything, so we took our time ogling the new goods. I was like, "I want EVERYTHING. No really." XD I was delighted to see they had Yossy's FC egg shirt on sale, too! According to the vendor, they only had 10 of those t-shirts. Sure enough, I bought one (The first one! WOO!).
After making our purchases, we decided to mill around next to the booth and check out our loot. Then right in the middle of checking out my Rika photoset, I noticed Aqua walking by! As I had promised I would do, I yanked her over into our group. I think by this time, the Japanese fans were done buying their merch and so we were all just hanging out in front of the booth. I remember Mika taking it upon herself to start introducing herself in English to everyone. So now everyone started introducing themselves and everyone knew who was who.
Also at that point, we finished what we needed to do, which was buy our merch, and for Kristen, Mae and I, we checked in with the expo folks and got our press badges. *cue the heavenly choir* We decided we were done at the expo for the day and wanted to do some sightseeing. Aqua, elgie, Kue and I planned on meeting up later at 5pm in front of Notre Dame to begin our little Paris tour.
After dropping off our stuff at our hotel and taking a quick break, Kue and I hit the Metro and headed towards Notre Dame. It was funny for me, because once we were crossing a bridge over the Seine, it finally hit me that I was in Paris. LOL The actual town where the expo was, Montreuil, is completely different from the streets of Paris. It wasn't bad, it was just... different.
Once Kue and I got to the plaza in front of Notre Dame, I took out my rainbow flag so that I could be easily spotted by any HH folks. Then I noticed elgie standing on top of the edge of a garden, so I started to wave my flag at her. As I got her attention, I noticed some familiar faces walking towards me from my right. It was tutu, MyDearYossi and their sister, Kaisa! I was surprised, but happy to see them there, too! It was a sweet Hitomi Heaven meeting. We went through introductions and took some group pics in front of the cathedral.
Then it was time to figure out what to do from there. Elgie, our super tour guide had many a suggestion, and we finally settled on taking a boat tour on the Seine to the Eiffel Tower. The sun had set while we waited for the next boat, so it started to get more chilly. However, the city looked more romantic when its lights illuminated the Parisian skies. <3
The boat ride was cold, but fun. We stayed in the back outside so we could have a better view of everything. I remember us joking about seeing Yossy and Rika making out in another boat on the Seine or walking hand in hand along the river bank. XD As we fantasized about what Yossy and Rika were doing in Paris, we failed to notice the Eiffel Tower behind us. ^_^;; We got off the boat and searched for something to munch on cuz we were hungryyyy. We found a food stand in front of the tower that sold these amazing hot dogs. Instead of regular hot dog buns, the hotdogs were stuffed into a baguette and then toasted. OMG SO GOOOOOD. I might have my hotdogs done like that from now on. Baguettes = <3
We took pics of the Eiffel Tower along with the 183751387 other tourists and aggressive Tower souvenier vendors there. I don't want to imagine how many people would be there at the base of the tower in the daytime during the summer. Insane. After finishing our hotdogs, we took a leisurely stroll down Le Champ de Mars, heading towards the Peace Monument at the end of the park. After a couple more pics, we went in search of the nearby Metro station to head home. We were all pretty tired at that point. Besides, we had to get up early the next morning to wait in line at the expo and get first dibs on those autograph tickets. >.>;
TO BE CONTINUED...

I hope they're somewhat clear, I haven't had a chance to look at them yet, but its better then nothing. My camera ran out of batteries before the show :( and I was only able to get those 2 blurry shots at the autograph session on Sunday >_< I was trying so hard to get a clear photo but the staff asked me to put my camera away haha :nervous:
Here is all the swag that I bought (not including the t-shirt) I'm so broke :P The poster is all beaten and battered up from all of the traveling

And the two pieces of art for Yossie and Rika, where I can't even remember what happened when I actually gave it to them 0__0;
I hope they liked it!
