Well, anyone's up for some meeting for dinner in Paris? I've been searching some japanese restaurants which aren't too expensive, and some of them might be worth a try
Also, many offer dishes other than the typical sushi and sashimi, which is perfect for those with allergies.
So far what I've found:
Higuma
R. Sainte Anne (there are dozens of japanese restaurants in this street)
It's very cheap and one of the favorites, though quite small. Canteen-style.
Aki
R. sainte Anne
A rarity in itself, it offers okonomiyaki!!!! not a lot to choose beyond that, though. There's a basement which can fit small groups.
Matsuri Richelieu
R. Richelieu
A kaitensushi type, it's got plenty of space but the prices go up the 20-30€ range.
Le Palais de Matsuyama
Bvd. Auguste Blanqui
Menu prices range from 17-20 but they usually offer 4 courses, which is a good deal.
Yasube
R. Sainte Anne (heh)
That's my favorite one!! Traditional canteen-style, but with a warm decoration - and a basement with tatami perfect for small groups. Also prices are quite good: 14-18 € for menus.
All these are generally in the center of Paris. I looked for some good addresses in the surroundings of the Expo Hall, but I wasn't quite convinced.
Well, anyone can give their own suggestions!!
