Saki Shimizu will always be memorable for me because when I saw Berryz in New Jersey she was the only one I actually found myself able to talk to during the autograph session!

I remember watching Riho auditions clips, she seemed too good to be true that I was afraid that she wouldn't get picked. Just imagine if she ended up on another idol group or something  :nervous

She was already already a fantastic performer when she started, but she's still keeps getting better like a true ace. Some clips:

(Yes I realize the switch is late, I got completely distracted by MM live in NYC and now I'll have to wait until I'm done working for the day before I can update)

^ I think we were all amazed when Riho passed the audition because she seemed too good to be true. :lol:

Yet as good as she seemed back then, the more time goes by and the more she grows, the more I'm impressed and enchanted by her. She's such a force and a natural performer with great expressions and stage presence. There's a reason why she's in the centre. Or well, several reasons. I've definitely come to love this girl.

Who? The sugary-voice, television attention hog, resident weirdo Eripon, who just wants to be loved by all. Can be spotted somewhere near the edge and back of choreographies.

My tribute of words to Eripon!

I can't say I like Eripon because X, Y, Z, because somehow I started liking her even before I knew her name in the 9th gen audition, and so I've liked her before I really had a reason to like her, if that makes sense.

But what a complex idol is Eripon.

In her appearance, she is slim and petite, but strong and muscular at the same time.
She can look like a cool guy, but is also very femininely pretty.
As a personality she is bold and shameless, but also sensitive. She'll cry quite easily and things that affect her appear to affect her greatly.
I never doubt her love for being an idol, but she can appear so spaced out at times that it seems like she's somewhere else. :lol:
She seems so awkward at times, but also rather easy to get along with.
Her voice is often super sugary, but can also be surprisingly strong, and seems to change from song to song.

When she laughs, it warms my heart :heart: May she always have things to smile about :heart:

Eripon is such a fascinating creature, a puzzle I can't solve. (LANGUAGE BARRIER HELPS) I didn't really choose to be her fan, it just happened, but overall I'm glad it happened, for she is a lovely young lady.

Who? A somewhat low-energy, but brightly smiling and caramel-singing Rinapuu has arguably been the S/mileage member with the least visibility - but S/mileage fans will recognize her uniqueness.

Posting my personal Rinapuu commentary... She (and the rest of S/mileage 2nd gen) is largely the reason why I wanted to do GotW again. I don't really hear much about her, but I'd like to know everyone in H!P to some extent and this gives me the excuse to look them up on youtube. I think she has become maybe surprisingly lovely; at the time that she was chosen from Eggs to join S/mileage I wouldn't have chosen her as one of my favs, and I've come to see her value quite recently. As a character she is different from the others - not really loud and in your face, but still intriguing. Her movements on stage sometimes remind me of Mikitty in her lack of energy LOL but her smile makes up for it and her voice is cute. I'd love it if someone who has been paying more attention could offer some input because I'd really like to know everyone in S/mileage better.

Yurina was among my favorites while becoming a fan, it was those three members Chinami, Momochi and Yurina.
I even got her tshirt at the Berryz Kyuuden tour.

Today she's rather in the back of my Berryz rating because other members moved up.

So thankful to have seen this towering beauty up close and in person...though I regret not being more appreciative of it at the time. But hey, that was just due to the circumstances I was in back then.

I also feel the same. I've only checked out Berryz and C-ute in person during a H!P concert.
I wasn't really able to focus on the individual members that much. I hoped to go to a Berryz/C-ute concert one day so I could check them out by themselves, but it just never happened.
Funny thing, last night I slept wearing the Yurina birthday t-shirt I got from that concert. :P

Also, that mag shoot Yurina did with fellow tall-beauty Rurika Yokoyama was like some dream collab. :heart:
