So I was thinking on how to write a TanaShige-->staring at my sig-->watching Shoganai Yume Oibito PV-->this lame 1-shot is what came out.

Anyway to show some love for TanaShige I dedicated this short fic and my 100th post for this pairing

- Her Smile -

This was the spot where I liked to spend most of my free time these days. Standing beside the stairway, waiting, staring at the picture on my cellphone screen. I gazed down from time to time to search for a glimpse of the real thing.

It began one day when my lecturer bored me to death so I had slipped away to get some fresh air. That’s exactly when my fateful encounter with her happened....

I was leaning on the rail looking down lazily when she waltzed in. Confidence radiated in every step she took, making her stand out from the rest of the students swarming around. I surprised myself when my jaw didn’t meet the floor, although I couldn’t stop my hand from capturing her image secretly into my phone.

Our eyes met for a brief second as she looked up. And even after she had looked away, my eyes would still follow her every move from climbing up the stairs, checking the bulletin board next to the elevator, until that elevator door forced her out of my view.

Now, I lived for those short moments.

I sighed. I felt like a fool. But what could a girl do when someone had taken captive of their heart like she did with mine?

Moreover, I think she knew it somehow. Because after that incident, whenever our eyes met she would give me that small mysterious smile. It was like saying ‘it’s our little secret’ (perhaps only in my imagination). And this had became some sort of routine for us that had been going on for weeks.

Yet today was different. She didn’t go into the elevator like she used to after doing a scan on the bulletin board, she was heading in my direction!

Quick, do self-cuteness check!

“Can I borrow your cell?” she said.

Looking to my left and right—even behind me, I found no one else around. That meant...oh my god, she’s talking to me! I nodded vigorously and thrust the thing forward. She took the phone with one hand and her other one went to close my jaw softly.

While she was busy typing something on my phone, I was busy thinking how silly I must have looked. So much for being cute...stupid jaw, dropping at the wrong time!

“Here.” She put the phone back on my palm and smiled.

Have I ever mentioned that her smile brightened my day? Because it does.

I knew I was practically ogling her, but I couldn’t help it. She was so close and she didn’t seem to mind.

Wait, her face was getting way too close!

“I want to know more about you...” she whispered huskily in my ear causing shiver to run through my body and I closed my eyes involuntary. Once I opened them again, she was already inside the elevator, and her smile had changed into a mischievous one.

I looked at my phone and noticed that she had saved her number in it. The name, Tanaka Reina—with a ‘<3’ at the end—it read.

Closing the phone with a smile, I clutched it into my chest happily.

‘Tanaka Reina....’

Yeah, they literally make me scratches my head LOL I mean writing other pairings sure aren’t easy but they're somewhat harder.

  If you or anyone write a KameShige I will either die or explode of happiness. Since there aren't a lot of fics with them I think and well I'm still in the process of making a KameShige fic. So far all my ideas stop in the production process because I get stuck and can't work around it. I'm still trying to make one though. I'm sure my friends know that when they talk to me on MSN. lol They also hear how upset I get from not writing either.  But you don't have to know that. lol

Nah, Reina wouldn’t be that extreme. She’d probably just go and kiss Sayu because she’s tired of waiting for her call/text to come. Don’t give me ideas! LOL

It’s hard to make a fic with your fav because you wanted to create the best one for them. I pretty much got lucky with the one-shots since the muse didn’t fight me. Don’t give up, ne? I’m sure you can do it and don’t be too hard on yourself too.

Yes, you’re reading it right, it’s KameShige. And no, I’m still a TanaKame-ist at heart. I admit I’m not a fan of this pairing, they’re actually at the bottom of my list just before GakiKame (I don’t hate them though). This could fit for TakaGaki too I guess but since inspiration forced me to do this pair, here’s a try with songfic. Inspired by Jesse McCartney’s song with the same title.

Sayu falls asleep on my shoulder. I guess it’s not such a good idea to do a DVD marathon for a sleepover after a long dance practice we did.

Slipping my arm behind her waist to hold her steady, I tilt my head sideways to gain a better sight of her sleeping face. She looks exhausted.

I part her bangs and hold her smooth black hair in my hand, smelling it. The scent, I love it, exactly like you.

Or would I ever hear ‘Hontou ni daisuki Eririn~!’ a come back of my own confession resonated?

Do you know it hurts to stand in this position? To be your best friend but nothing at the same time.

What should I do?

That persistent voice keeps coming back. ‘Kiss her.’

I really like TanaShige cuz these 2 have a whole different dynamics as compared to say, KameMame. For Reina, I like her most with e bunny. And since I also adore SYO, this fic is a double score ^^

Ahhh, KameShige! There definitely isn't enough of them around. I hope you write more. Sukoshi will be really please too usually we see Sayu being the one in love with Kame, it's nice to read from Eri's POV this time.

KameShige is so cute in this one-shot.  Little Eririn had a crush on Sayu and loves her that's even cuter. I'm glad for once that it's Eri instead of Sayu who has the crush like Hammy said. The ending was really cute though I still think Eri should have kissed her. It's just the fan in me is all. So don't worry about that. There aren't many fics of KameShige so this fic makes me happy even if there isn't a kiss because it's cute and I love cute over all.  I wish there were more KameShige fics though. Hmmm...I might fix that.

Lol it didn’t go to such extent. Like I said, I don’t hate KameShige and I guess me as a reader and a writer can be somewhat different. I think I’ve told you that KameShige is quite a contradictory for me –> I see them as only best friends, but I do know best friends could fall in love with each other. I dunno what to think about them.

I’m happy you think it’s cute and I’m just glad I didn’t write it when I’m in my emo mode, otherwise it would’ve been total angst under different song. And that would simply be cruel if I wrote an angst for your fav pair (it would make me feel like I’m hating them).

The last scene where Sayu smiled and mumbled were created to make sure there are hints for KameShige to happen, so fans of them like you could imagine their own version of happy ending for them. Were those enough hints I wonder?

Actually I was about to make Eri kiss Sayu at first but then I thought she’s not Sayu who probably wouldn’t hesitate if she was in Eri’s situation. Plus since the song is in the unsure phase (blame the song! lol), I wanted to put a kiss there but at the same time not a kiss, just enough that it’s a step ahead from the song in that phase. Thus, I made Eri did that.
(Maybe you should write a continuation where they kiss for real? )
