I'm just asking if someone's already on it, but I think that even if someone did start - then there will be two translations, as I've said - the more the better.

So I think I will do it after all. Chinami's interview took me two days to translate - so I think that Maimi's will take the same time. So be patient until I finish then(if no one will do it before me).

I hope I will be excused for double posting - it's more convenient this way I think... I've finished translating Yajima Maimi's interview in B.L.T and since no one else did - I'll share it right here. Enjoy

So how was your photoshoot at Kamakura?

Personally I don't have self-awareness of this "natural airhead" side of me.

So why are you called "natural airhead"?

Maybe because I get nervous.

Nervous? (Laughs).

I easily get nervous. Maybe nervousness is the source of my, so called, natural airheadness. I panic easily and can't decide what's good in one or other situation any more (Laughs). At last "Gekiharo" lesson, the same words got constantly stuck in my head and very soon my face got pure white.

This probably proves that you're really prone to making silly mistakes ain't it? Does your family have this airheadness of yours?

My mother is naturally airdhead-ish (laughs). I also have two brothers and I think that one of them is the same.

So it's probably in the DNA of whole of Yajima family, eh? (Laughs).
And what's the most recent airheadful episode of yours?

This one's became a school story. We have long autumn holidays. And at the very first day of these autumn holidays I went to the school. I got nervous when I opened the class-room door and saw no one in there (Laughs).

That's a great episode there, eh? Like the one that can get so many stories going around (Laughs). Now, the most favorite part of your own character is?

Maybe it's the part of it that I'm not that easily lost in thoughts. There's almost nothing that can hurt my feelings. I mean, I don't think in a bad way. And that's what usually people say.

And that's exactly one side of big hearted people with O type blood.

If not general foundation of it (Laughs). But, my punctuality, it comes to a point, when, for example, I fill up my trunk and forget to put something, then I put everything out of it, and then fill it up again putting the thing I forgot.

Tell us about your most recent very-Maimi-chan-like significant event!

The boots I've just bought got wet, I was super-sad about this.

I heard a similar story in other interview. Boots that a girl bought got wet in rain, what a shock it was.

And there's a lot of boots that change their color if you don't put water-resistant spray on them! Nevertheless only a day passed since I bought these boots, so it was really depressing.

And so here let's get on to C-ute topic, what is your, so to say, existence in C-ute, Maimi-chan?

It feels like another family to me. Since I don't have any sisters, all the members are like sisters to me. When we're together we feel very relieved and we can talk to each other practically about anything.

Is there a member amongst C-ute, about who you think "She's even more airheaded than me~"

Chisato~! I don't understand when Chisato scolds me for being an airhead.
"I don't want to be called Airheaded by you!?" that's how you feel it, right? (Laughs.)

Like when we put on make-up, she drops her foundation or when she comes to the bus with bare hands, having forgotten all her hand luggage, and then she just says "Otsukaresama~"(2) and returns home, so Chisato, generally speaking, is a scatterbrain!

This is just so like Chisato-chan (Laughs).

"Ah~ I've just remembered my story with luggage.

What what? Your own one?

Yes, recently we had an overnight job in Osaka and I came to Tokyo station having forgotten my trunk at home.

Um, you forgot your large suitcase?

And didn't notice it until I got to Tokyo-station.

So you didn't know about it up to this point, eh? (Laughs).

Mom took me to the station in her car! And, I forgot to load it with my luggage. And so I got on to the Shinkansen(3) barehanded (Laughs).

Did it turn out fine!?

A bit later mother and manager-san cooperated to send it to me.

After all you overcame Chisato-chan (Laughs).
And so let's now talk about dreams of such a Maimi-chan here.

First, as C-ute, I want us to become so famous that very few people do not know us, so I want to do a concert in an arena or something, in a huge place. And when I realized how interesting a "Gekiharo" play can be, I began to want to do a lot of actress work and stuff like that, and also to star in commercials and stuff like that.

And what part of a play feels interesting to you?

It's the possibility to meet, so to say, your other identity; you become a totally different person, that's what is interesting about a play. And also I 'kinda like the time when a play ends. Like when you feel how your true identity comes back, and it's even somewhat lonely feeling, when you say good bye to the girl you were in role of. And so I really look forward to my next role, where I can meet my other identity once again.

And in conclusion, this year's autumn theme is?

A bit earlier, I though I really really wanted read a book, but I hadn't a chance to do it, and this autumn I decided to read a lot of pages every day. At the beginning I read only several pages a day even though I did it putting all my effort into it, but gradually I started to read a bit faster.

What genre of books do you read?

Novels, true stories, from old works to new ones, I read a lot of different books. I'm going to make this year's autumn a reading one~

1. Ame Onna - woman whose presence seems to cause rain.

2.”Otsukaresama” is said after a hard day’s work, it’s a common expression used in many wide meanings - amongst them the most generalized one is: thank you, that’s enough for today.

3.Shinkansen - Network of high-speed railway lines in Japan operated by four Japan Railways Group companies. Their bullet trains, since 2003 and introduction of magnetic levitation, go as fast as aprox. 581 km/h (361 mph).
