Title: Going My Way Extended Story
Post by: kuro808 on September 04, 2014, 01:37:10 AM
Chapter 1

"I can't believe my boy is all grown up."

Yamamoto Sai couldn't believe he was finally going to be away from the coop. It wasn't he didn't like where he was but his adventurous side got the best of him.

"I'm going to miss you!" The woman hugged him with her warm arms as eighteen years she had done so before. Sai felt a warm drop run down his cheeks as he pressed his head against her shoulder.

"Mom, same here." He said as another pair came to wrap around both of them.

"You two are softhearted." The elder male smiled as Sai grabbed his duffle bag and guitar case before walking away.

He couldn’t turn back as his heart had been broken by leaving his parents to go to Tokyo with the little clothes he possessed.  Sai left his memories back in Osaka as the traditional man he had become but going to be the modern person as he boarded the train.  Packed like sardines, he held his items close to him as he weaved through the crowd, feeling his body pressed against the door.

The essence of the people made a combination of smells that was unique to the venture to Tokyo.  He knew his body couldn’t hold up for the trip and sat in the corner with his items near him as he waited for the crowd to dissipate.  Despite everything, he had about a day to move into the dorms and wanting to venture into the city.  He glanced at his phone before putting his earphones as the bass of the music soothe him from the chaos.

Sai loved music.  He didn’t let anyone know what type but anything with a beat and rifts brought him back to his old band.  However, it reminded him that he couldn’t relive before the band broke up.  Music had brought them together but the girl was liked by everyone and she chose Sai, the lead guitarist.

Sai downplayed the relationship to keep the band but she couldn’t keep it a secret within the group and eventually Sai had grown tired of her public affection that he had her kicked out.  The rest were disappointed and angered by his decision but he continued despite the rift between them.  Sai observed the band being defined when everyone decided to take on separate projects and left without telling them his plans of heading to Tokyo.

The headphones cancelled out all the noise as she held his hands in position and moved his fingers passionately like making love to a woman.  Every stroke was important to tuning the air guitar but he had himself zoned into his music.  Sai had enough talent but lacked dedication because of school and when he graduated, it was enough time to look into his major and music became an easy choice but he also dwelled into social studies and chose the safe route.

“Next stop, Tokyo!”  A person had yelled as his took off the earphones with the torrent of people rushing out as Sai managed to get onto the platform.

The warm air flowed from the top as it flowed down to hit him as he weaved through to head to the ground level where the tall buildings amused him.  It towered over the people as they looked at ants travelling from the height.  The city was a filled with people and bustling traffic with the cars speeding by and seeing a different side of females in the city compared to Osaka.  The darker, thicker makeup made him wonder about having a Tokyo girlfriend, they were more outspoken and have a way to be rude towards others.  Sai liked his former girlfriend but it was the band him consider that she could have been influenced by the others.

“Oi!”  Someone yelled out as it managed to swerve passed him as he decided to head to the nearest café to settle his plans for the next few hours on his way to the campus.

He peered into the shop seeing people consuming their lunch as she entered with the smell of fresh burgers coming out onto the table.  He bypassed the sign and took his seat with the map spread out onto the table.

Sai had thought about walking but with the foot traffic being congested, the next best plan was by bus.  He searched through the city for a stop where it would send him to the school and a finger pointed down at the point.  Sai’s eyes shot up to a female in a waitress uniform with a pink bow tying the ponytail.  His eyes began to wonder about how she could pinpoint with such accuracy.

“You must be a new student.”  She smiled.  “I’m Watanabe Mayu and I go there and use the bus a lot so you would just go east one block and a shuttle will be there to pick you up.”  She explained as his mouth dropped when he heard directions and placed down two hundred yen onto the table.

Sai jogged to the stop and glanced at the schedule when the bus pulled up.  The driver moved his hand with a grin on his wrinkled face.  He saw the few people on the bus and took an empty seat as the bus drove from the stop and entered into the traffic.  He placed his headphones on when his eyes closed instantly keeping his hands in the same position he on the train.  It was instincts that he could play electric and acoustic and held it like he would if he had them in his lap.  Every song it changed his posture and his hands were steady as with every strum and pick had been perfected when the violent jolt awoke him from the soothing beat.

“What happened!?”

“Someone just cut off the bus.”  The person next to him explained when a trickle flowed down from his forehead to his opened hand.

Sai didn’t panic and grabbed a shirt from his bag and wrapped it around his head.  The bus moved again as he kept himself awake when the campus came into sight.

“Okay, here’s Fuji College.”  The driver announced as Sai got off and ran to the nearest location to unwrap his headband as it spread onto the white shirt as the crimson had become a slight pink in his hand.  Sai searched his bag for the map and headed toward the dorms to his right where they stood with the gray paint among the forest of green around it.  He walked along the path as the atmosphere was more nature like compared to the city until he got to the dorms where the students had been checking in and got his assignment as he approached one of them with just his name.  Sai walked up the creaky stairs to the second floor and turned to the dark hallway.  The musky scent had entered into his mind as he saw the number increasing as he passed by until 213 had come up.  He gripped the door but heard sounds escaping from the room.

“May I come in?”  Sai knocked the door and waited for a response when he saw a messy-haired male answered the door his dark eyes and looking below his neck.  Sai took a step back and sat outside as a female has walked out, disheveled but in a quick manner before the male allowed him inside.

“Sorry for that…”

Sai waved it off as the windows were wide open as the smell seemed to still linger.

“I’m Yokoyama Yuito and I guess you’re…”

“Yamamoto Sai, I’m your new roommate.”  He finished his sentence as he dropped his stuff onto the neatly pressed bed.

“Again sorry… I just had my girlfriend come over and I didn’t expect anyone but thanks for knocking.”  Yuito smiled when Sai felt the pillow and laid out for his long awaited nap.

Chapter 2

Sai awoke still a little cloudy but his new roommate was on the laptop when Sai groaned as he sat up on the bed.

“Welcome!”  Yuito greeted him.  “Do you need help with other stuff?”

He nodded as he held his hand over the open mouth as Yuito changed into his clothes before leaving the room with Sai following him from behind.  Sai glanced around the area where he saw the many faces as Yuito pointed out the kitchen and the showers.  Sai walked inside to see a few of them in the room, readying themselves for the showers with a hint of curiosity on his mind.

“Do you like girls?”  Yuito asked out of the blue with his hand running through his greasy hair.

“Of course I do.”  Sai replied as he turned back to his roommate.  “It’s just hard to have one because women have the tendency to look ahead while I want to stay present.”

Yuito chuckled at such responses.  He was a realist per se but he couldn’t believe such things came from a freshman as they walked down to the lobby where many were carrying their books back into the dorm.  Sai looked around the area as another man ran to them as Yuito waved his hand.  “That’s Ryu .  He’ll come around a lot since his girlfriend has issues most of the time but it isn’t a big deal when you have a forgiving one too.”

Sai remembered a lot about her although she was okay with the idea of dating the band mate at first.  He shook off the idea as they walked toward the main building where lines of people were winding in and out of the rooms.  He slapped his head that he should have came earlier but Yuito went through and headed to the employees’ entrance to the right of the student’s entrance and boxes of books were stacked everywhere.  Sai took out his phone and thumbed through the schedule as Yuito whistled to get two of the people’s attention and showed the list to them before they ran off.

“Do you drink coffee?”

Sai waved his hand.  “I don’t like caffeinated drinks.”

“Ahh… There is a vending machine for juices so we can go there while we wait for your books.”  Yuito smiled as they headed into the small room with the sink and a refrigerator in there and to the right of them was the huge vending machine.  “We brought this in with our money and the staff pays for the snacks.”

“Sugoi!”  Sai thought.  “I was thinking…”

“Oh?  My books are on hold and they will be delivered later today.”  He answered before Sai could finish the questions as Yuito pressed the button for the orange juice.

“Thanks.”  Sai opened the can and took a sip of it and the hint of orange flavor caught him in the back of the throat.  It was sweet to him but a soothing aftertaste made tolerable as the two came back with the books in a bag.

“How much?”

“It has been charged to your account.”  One of them panted.

“I don’t have an account…”  Sai informed them as the other handed a card over to Sai.

“It is processed before you come here and usually we would give it you when you get your books but Yuito took the liberty to inform us of your arrival and made one.”  He explained as the two ran back into the chaos of getting books from the warehouse.

“Wow… Thanks!”

Yuito grinned, “It is my responsibility to keep you company as an upperclassman.”

Sai was impressed by Yuito already.  He wasn’t sure why he had done things for him and even took him to the back of the store but Sai was grateful of the hospitality.  Sai grabbed the bag and instantly felt the weight of the books in his grip.  He used the other hand to assist in carrying the books before returning to the dorm to drop off the books.  Sai walked back alone back to their room as he saw the people walking by, waving to him as he struggled to get to the door.  He opened the door and saw a key on the table for him as he threw it onto the bed giving away to the weight.  The plastic bag broke with the books tumbling onto the bed.

“Are you Yuito’s new roommate?”  The man asked as Sai turned to see his height and nodded.

“Ahh!  I’m Kai!  Welcome to the dorm!”  He shouted as the rest pushed him to the floor when another one had come to the door.

“I’m Kuu and you’re…”

“I’m Sai from Osaka.”  He replied as Kuu gave him a firm handshake.

“You look rather skinny.  We should eat.”  Kuu recommended as Sai bowed toward them.

“I’m with Yuito at the moment.”

The two nodded as Sai returned to the room for the key and locked the door behind him.  He ran back downstairs as he noticed the building having three floors and turned back to Yuito.

“You got your key?”  He asked showing his set of keys as Sai showed the one key as they continued to the next area.

Sai quickly noticed the area was filled with females when he saw the woman that was with Yuito when he arrived as she stood in line at the coffee shop.  Yuito didn’t notice the woman until he turned back as they walked passed her and he gave her a wave before they proceeded to enter the building.

“This is the freshmen women’s dorm.”  He pointed out to Sai.  “Well many are just adjusting so maybe there is a chance you may meet someone here.”

Sai glanced around the place and suddenly his heart gave an awkward thump.  He bit down on his lip as he followed Yuito as they were going away from her.  Sai saw her with the glasses as she placed them on her head as her hazel eyes turned to see him for the moment and then turning back he met the glass door with Yuito on the other side, shaking his head.

“I’m embarrassed already.”  He sighed.

The girl.... it'll be in the next chapter

It was Sai who said it as Yuito was the one reacting to what Sai said as how Sai went through his girlfriend.

Chapter 3

“Are you okay?”

Sai heard the high-pitched voice and then came into his vision was Yuito with wide grin on his face.  His head felt slightly shaken but enough to stay stable on his feet.  The group of people crowded around him as they walked off as he began to look around.  The girl that he had saw before hitting the glass door was gone as Yuito gave him a pat on the head.

“Please don’t do that.”  The woman warned as Sai looked down at her.

“I’m Yamada Nana, the consultant for the girls’ dorm.  Are you okay?”

Sai nodded.  “I feel fine.”

He took a few steps and managed to get the okay to walk away without any permanent damage physically, yet emotionally he was red faced about the situation.  Sai kept his lips sealed when Yuito had asked about what had happened and eventually it got dropped altogether as they got to the common meeting place for the students where a band was playing in the yard with the acoustic guitars and bongos.  Sai walked up to listen to the melody before Yuito showed him to the cafeteria.

He heard his stomach growl as Yuito showed him to the few selections they had as it was private university and many couldn’t obtain the leases they wanted as the prices were high.  Sai had enough for his meal and walked up to the line as Yuito shadowed him as he picked out his plate selection.  He was dedicated vegetarian and left his roommate in awe as placed the money down before going through the crowd, arriving at the empty table.  Sai took a seat and felt his weight tumble leaving his food on the table but his body landing in a mess.

“I forgot that this table is broken…”  Yuito nervously laughed.

Sai rolled his eyes as he dusted off his clothes and picked up his tray to take it outside to the bright atmosphere.  Yuito led him to the table away from the cafeteria as Yuito grabbed a water bottle from the vending machine.  Yuito glared at him as he chewed his food with Sai’s eyes scanning the area.  He wished that she would be around savoring his meal.  When he did look at Yuito, he would turn to the campus as fewer people were around walking.

“Where are we going after this?”  He asked after swallowing his bite.

“The rest are buildings…  Speaking of which…”  Yuito spoke out loud as he remembered the list of books.

“What is your major?”

“I’m going to major in social studies.  What’s yours?”

“History… Planning on changing to the medical field.”

Sai smiled as he heard the answer.  He didn’t know too much of his classmates from high school but one had decided on being a doctor which didn’t seem too far of a reach he thought.  He quickly finished the meal seeing Yuito was glancing around and placed the tray onto the trash bin before throwing the plate into the bin.

“Let’s go to the social studies building.”  Yuito pointed toward the mass of buildings as they continued to walk along the path.

Sai’s eyes observed the trees around the campus as the dark shadows seemed to come over them.  He was aware that looking above the gray clouds was slowly gliding over them as Yuito continued until they got to the covered area where the smell of the forest had entered his nose.  He glanced around the campus before the drizzle came upon the green grass.  Sai gazed at the gray building as the path turned to the right where the covering had ended and grabbed the Yuito’s arms.

“What are you…?”

Before he could end his sentence, a sheet of water exited the sky.  Sai was great at predicting rain like a dog would bark as it came but he knew by instinct and Yuito pointed toward the gray building in front of them.

“That’s the social studies building.  I guess we can meet up for the semester to do a few study sessions.”  He explained as Sai grinned before returning back to the endless path.

Yuito knew that there was one place they could visit before the rains could let up.  They paced over to the final building that the path had ended with a big domed roof overhead.  He opened the door to the air conditioned sanctuary with the few people that were already there.

Sai glanced around the area filled with books as there was a staircase to the left of them and on the right was the elevators.  Yuito turned right as the building itself was tall rather than wide as he murmured remembering where the location of the research books would be when the door opened for them and pressed three before it sped up to that floor .

“What year are you?”  Sai asked as Yuito tilted his head.

“I’m a second year-student here but third overall since I transferred from the Kyoto campus.”  Yuito explained as the doors opened to the floor.

It was lined up with wooden shelves filled with books as the middle was an expansive area with many large tables lined up parallel to each other, stretching from one end of the floor to the other.  Sai ran across to the shelves as he saw many things about America and modern Japan as he peered through the holes the hazel eyes he remembered at the girls’ building came within his sight.  They were soft as he stared at them but he quickly turned away as Yuito came to him, distracting his attention.

“I think we better head back.  If we get back early, we get dinner at a more convenient time.”  Yuito explained as the two rushed down the stairs and out into the overcast yet sunlit sky above them.

“I was wondering… what’s your girlfriend’s name?”  He asked.  “If you don’t mind answering…”

“Her name is Haruka but I call her Paru.”  He smiled before turning back to the front as he ran as fast as he could with Sai following him behind.

Can I say I answered the questions?  Kinda XD

Chapter 4

With the first day of students moving in coming to a close, Sai and Yuito returned to the cafeteria for the traditional semi-annual dinner with the students from the dorms.  Sai saw Ryu come in with a girl being weaved through the crowd as they took their seats to the left of Sai.  Paru rubbing her eyes took the seat next to Yuito.  It left one seat across of Sai as he crossed his fingers, hoping for that girl but his heart dropped to his stomach when another female had taken the seat.  He began to scan around the cafeteria but he couldn’t see her among the ocean of people.

“Welcome to Fuji College!”  She had announced in her black top and matching knee-length skirt.  “I’m your supervisor of the dorm relations, Oshima Yuko.  We want to congratulate you for being here at our dinner for the dorm members.  Our selection of food is made by the lovely staff and since it is buffet style, please take as much as you want.”

After the speech, they saw the woman run off stage as the monitors came to allow them to start getting their food.  The table was quiet except for the two couples whispering to each other.  Sai thought the woman was attractive but it didn’t make his heart flutter like the one in the library and within the female dorm.  However, he had thought about just talking to someone and felt his hands shake.  He got up and squatted next to her as she was scanning through her phone.

“Hello~”

“Hey!  Were you the one who ran into the door?”

The question itself wanted to make him cry as for the brief moment he was out of his body but he gave a smile and nodded.  “That was me.”

“Ah!  That’s pretty funny.  I’m Jonishi Kei and I come from Shiga.”  She introduced herself as Sai’s eyes grew.  “By Lake Biwa.”

“Ah~ I’m from Osaka.”  Sai blurted out as Kei gave him a smile.

“You seem rather quiet being from Osaka.”  She laughed as Sai felt his cheeks burn up.

“I’m rather boisterous when I’m around my friends.  Anyways… this is my roommate, Yuito.”  Sai pointed to him.

Yuito took over instantly as he introduced his girlfriend, Paru, Ryu and finally his girlfriend, Rino.  Ryu smiled at him when his girlfriend elbowed him in the ribs.

“She prefers you call her Sasshi.”

Yuito and Sai laughed with Kei joining in midway with the other two keeping their emotions in check with blank expressions.  After the quick awkward pause, a man came and told them to go into the line.  Sai saw the selection of European food and traditional items combined onto one plate.  The two girlfriends stood in line followed by Ryu, Sai, and Yuito with Kei taking the rear.  With the line being long, Sai had turned to his roommate.

“Kyoto…”  He trailed off as Yuito grinned.

“I wanted to get out but the college that accepted me didn’t have the classes after the fact that they had cut the program out altogether.  So I decided to take up another major to cover up the blunder and they gave me a year credit to assist with my transfer.”  Yuito explained as the line moved up at a snail’s pace.

“So you wanted to always go into medical?”

Yuito nodded.  “That is still my dream to do so but history gives me a reason to stay in school because of the fiasco.”

They started to notice the line and grabbed their plates as they reached the salads which Sai piled up before spreading the Italian dressing over the greens.  He saw the many items like the braised pork and roasted chicken cut in a nice row and felt comfortable with his selection as they returned to the table with juices lined up around the table as they conversed with each other.  Sai got to explain about his guitar as the rest were interested in joining to make an ensemble which made him comfortable with everyone.

The clock spun to closing time as they were in the midst of conversation as Sai decided to walk with the rest of the group.  He didn’t really think about it but he saw the bright moon in the sky and looked up at it.  He didn’t imagine that such a moon had existed on the clear night.  Sai felt at peace looking up being far away from home for the first time in his life and just sighed.

“Usagi-chan~ Usagi-chan~ don’t run away!”  The voice from a few feet away caught his attention.

Sai couldn’t make out the figure in the dim area but he followed the voice within a reasonable distance before he had stopped as it pranced away from him.  He wasn’t why anyone would be saying such things out loud and began to look around the area.  Sai felt his palms moistened as he took a few steps in each direction before finding a bench and stared at the moon again.  He cursed his attention span for leading him the wrong way when he heard a creak on the other side.

“Was someone sitting here?  It there was, I’m sorry.”  She said as Sai turned waving his hand.

“Go ahead, sit there.”

“The night is extremely beautiful.  It usually would be cloudy but it has been clear as of late.”  She spoke as the reflection off her glasses caught Sai’s attention.

“I’ve been wondering about that especially with the rain today…”  Sai thought as she turned toward him.

Sai’s mouth dropped as the person he had seen on two occasions was now close to him.  His mouth went dry instantly as the words seemed to jumble within his mind.  He couldn’t let himself lose such an opportunity as he turned away with his cheeks burning from the occasion.

“Are you okay?  Maybe it was the glass door?”  She laughed as the event seemed to make all the girls seem he was a derp but he couldn’t say why he had hit the door hard.

“I’m fine.  It’s just…”  Sai looked around to see Yuito coming out of the building.

“I’m Sai.  It’s nice to meet you.”  He introduced himself as he extended his hand.

“I’m Miyuki.  I hope we have classes together.”  She gave a firm smile as he ran away to catch up with Yuito.

“That was the first a boy had touched me!”  She whispered before running back to the building before the curfew closed off the entrance.

No problem, here it is

Chapter 5

“Where did you go?”  Yuito asked with a smile.

“I was… with someone.”  He answered with a slight hesitation.  “Let’s just get back to the room.”

As soon as both had gotten into the room, Sai jumped into bed and pressed his head against the pillow.  He eyes closed instantly but his mind kept racing about Miyuki.  He felt compelled that he should have stayed for a while longer to get to know her better but the fact that he saw Yuito made him uncomfortable to just talk.  Sai felt he was sleeping on spikes as he turned every few moments before just sitting up and looking at his books.

Sai opened up his bag and brought out a black rectangular item from the bottom.  He opened it up as the light from the computer served as his guide to the socket and arranged his books in order of the classes.  However, his mind became solely on her.  It wasn’t the first time he felt that way but since the breakup, he finally felt nervous for the first time.

“Are you up?”  Yuito asked as he rubbed his eyes.

Sai placed his books away and hid it into the space below the bed.  “Just wanting to start classes.”  Sai smiled as Yuito turned away from the light.

Sai couldn’t help it but he turned off the light before leaving the room to the dim hallway.  He saw the moonlight peering through the wide window and walked toward it as he stared at it.  He began to sway as it gave him enough temptation to try it but walked back to the room and slipped into his bed.  Sai kept up his struggle but once his eyes closed, the only thing that got him was the alarm clock with the sun coming through the door.

“Your class is in about forty minutes so let’s get going.”  Yuito informed him as he ran off to the bathroom where the steam from the showers clouded his sight.

He extended his hand through the cloud of steam and felt out the lockers as many people were passing him before he managed to find an open locker.  Sai stripped down to his birthday suit before getting one of the dry towels and stepped into the shower.  The noise level was high with the men surrounding him as he headed to the open stall and had the samples of shampoo and body wash emptied by the ones before him.  Sai used whatever he could as the shower drowned out the noise around him.

Sai liked the water but awoke when it suddenly turned cold as his daydream made him vulnerable to the sudden change.  He washed off the shampoo and soap from his body before rushing out to wipe off the extra water and changed into his clothes.  Sai ran his fingers through his hair, controlling the wildness of his freshly showered hair.

“Let’s go!”  Yuito commanded as he grabbed his brown bag and books, stuffing it inside before following his roommate out with hundreds of others heading out the same way.

The crowd itself was now an ocean as neither could see above the rest but seemingly Yuito was guiding him through every shortcut he knew before getting to the building.  Sai glanced at the room and took the stairs up to the next floor with Yuito going straight as Sai managed to get to the room without looking at the panel and saw a hand raised up in the crowd as Sai took his seat.

“Kei… how’s everything?”  Sai asked, brushing his hair back with the residue water travelling down his neck.

“It’s been fine… just had to deal with my roommate…”  Kei rolled her eyes at Sai.

“Something wrong?”

“Actually, she had been yammering about a guy meeting her yesterday.  It has been so annoying because it feels it was her first time being with someone with the opposite sex.”  Kei explained as Sai tilted his head back when the teacher came in and wrote out words on the board with the whole class panicking in unison as they wrote down the words.

Sai felt the words were a sleeping spell on him as the monotonous voice created the worst effect until he glanced up at the clock.  His eyes exploded as the hand passed the twelve when the class was done.  Sai glanced around to look for Kei as he wanted to continue the conversation but Kei left using the other exit and now he began stroll through the hall as the students seemed to pass by him getting to their classes.  He managed to get to the other side of the hallway and found a room, finding a person reading a book.

“Hello?” Sai greeted the person as it turned

“Ah!  Welcome to the study area for social studies majors.”  The woman greeted back.  “I’m Maeda Atsuko, the advisor for the department.”  She lowered her glasses with her hand extended out to him.

“I’m Yamamoto Sai.”

She smiled before turning back to her book.  “Do you have the intro class?”

“Yes… at 10:00.”  He answered, closing her book again.

“I’ll see you there.”  Atsuko smiled as Sai left the room and headed to the stairs and ran down to the first floor to wait out for his next class.

He started to echo Kei’s words in his mind as he waited for the class.  Sai shook his head that Miyuki couldn’t be Kei’s roommate but it could have been anyone, he thought as he put his head into his hands.  Sai’s mind went foggy for the brief moment as he wanted to speak to Kei to ask about Miyuki when he turned to see a hand next to him.

“Are you okay?”  A woman asked as he raised his head.

“Sorry I’ve been thinking of something…”

“I guess so but maybe there is something I could help you with.”  She grabbed his hand and took him to the office across of the room.  “I’m Shinoda Mariko, the resident shrink and professor of social studies.”

He was glad that she had taken him away from the hallway when he instantly explained his situation.  She sat straight up, keeping her full attention onto him as she kept her hands clasped with Sai’s troubles being like a short story.  Sai paced as his story came out that he just wanted to see her after all that time after seeing his roommate that he couldn’t get her out of his mind.  Sai glanced up and walked out the door when his eyes locked onto the person.

“Ah Sai, how are you doing?”

Chapter 6

Sai had turned to see her in a long ponytail and the glasses as his heart started to thump.  If he had the mirror, he knew he would have looked stupid as his tongue hung out with the words becoming hard to even communicate.

“I’ve been good… You?”

“I couldn’t sleep well last night.”  She laughed.  “Are you here for Maeda-sensei’s class?”

“Yes!”  He shouted before realizing it went up a tone by impulse.  “I’m actually excited.”

Sai saw Kei come from behind as she placed her hands on top of Miyuki’s shoulders.  She swung her bag catching her arm that was shielding her face with a wide smile.  Miyuki’s cheek inflated as the two giggled at her as the class was let out for the next session.  Sai decided to sit three seats from the middle rows to the left of the professor as the two took the other seats.  He could feel the beads of sweat roll down his cheekbone as Kei became the buffer between them.

“Is she the one you were talking about?”  Kei asked bluntly as he smiled.

“I think so… we meet last night at the benches.”  Sai answered as her lips curled up.

“You know that she is way over her head because she is quiet person.”  Kei explained as Sai shrugged.

“Okay?  So what are you trying to get at?”

Sai’s words seemed to bring a certain thing into mind as Kei’s hand brushed over Sai’s knuckles.  He glanced at her when the professor walked up to the stand opened up the PowerPoint as the lights dimmed from above.  Sai hoped Miyuki hadn’t glanced over before the start as she eyed the screen as Sai removed the hand away.  He observed Kei while keeping notes and couldn’t allow such things to happen as he moved his hand away, keeping it on top of the desk.

The whole class seemed like a mission to not let Kei get to him and luckily there wasn’t any other incident as the three left the room.  Sai followed Miyuki out, keeping his eyes out for Kei trailing behind them.  He grabbed her hand and dragged her out of the building to the tree opposite of the building as he kept his eyes out for Kei.

“Is Kei your roommate?”  Sai breathed with the question coming out like an arrow from a drawn back bow.

“Yes!”  She answered.

“Were you talking about me last night?”

Miyuki’s lips zipped up as her eyes looked toward the ground.  Sai had turned to see a bunch of students coming out but no Kei in sight.  She wiped her eyes before turning away from him and rushed away.  Sai felt his heart drop as he bit down on his lip.  He wanted an answer but something made him want to hear the truth.  He thought that it must have been too soon when he turned to see a smug look on Kei’s face.

“She won’t say her real feelings until you make her not nervous.”  She explained as Sai started to walk away from her.  “It is no use that she can see anything beyond what you possess but I can!”

Sai turned and noticed that Kei had that smile.  He felt he was being controlled by sorceress with the fact that he couldn’t keep his eyes away from her.  His hand balled up into a fist when he closed his eyes, tilting his head downward to shield his displeasure.

“What are you trying to say?”

“Miyuki is shy and naïve to any cute boy.  I know that.”  She stated as Sai rolled his eyes.  “Do you want to deal with that?”

It made his fist become rock-like as he heard the question.  He couldn’t make it any worse than what she had already expected but now to deal with a roommate who could form her against him was becoming problematic.  Sai didn’t want Kei to influence her anymore than what was already said to him but he didn’t want to lose her.  He felt his rage hitting a point before he felt it instantly cool down as his thoughts started to whisper into his mind.

“I would deal with it but what’s the deal?”  Sai asked with the irritated tone.

“One date.”  She held up her finger.

“Why?”

“Simply because I want to see what you can do for Miyuki.”  She explained as he shook his head.

“Miyuki is someone I like and if you wedge between us, she may never see me again especially if her roommate is on a date with me.”  Sai gritted his teeth emphasizing the last part of his statement.

“It is either you take me on a date or risk Miyuki being all shy and innocent because…”

“You know something about her don’t you?”  Sai felt the hook grabbing his cheek.

“I guess you know how it’ll work from now, right?”

Sai nodded.  “When?”

“How about tonight at five?”  She suggested as he nodded.

“We can go to the café down the road from here.”

Kei nodded as she pranced off.  He relaxed his fists when she was out of his sight when he felt his stomach gargle with the scent of food escaping from the cafeteria.  He walked over to the scent, leaving the concern about the date behind him.  Sai managed to get into line for his food when he felt someone poking his shoulder.  He spun around to the woman with the twin ponytails.

“Remember me?”

“Mayu?”  Sai answered as she waved back.

“Ah!  You look quite ravishing today.”  She commented as he had a tiny smile on his face.

“Thanks… You look quite pretty.”

Mayu smiled before the smile turned away when a man came and pecked her on the cheek.  Sai glanced at the lanky man and gave him a smile as he waved towards him.

“Boyfriend?”  Sai questioned as Mayu shook her head.

“Best friend.  He is Kashiwagi Yuki.  I call him Yuki-kun.”  Mayu introduced the man as they stood in the line for food.

“Anyways, I need to get food before my next class.”  Sai moved forward to the next line.  “I hope to see you tonight.”

Mayu turned to Yuki and told him about meeting Sai at the café before he nodded and waved good bye to him as he rushed through to get the boxed lunch and headed to the other side for the math class.

Well the questions will be answered through the date as for the Mayu conversation, I kinda wanted a casual setting and the words seemed to go that way as she was trying to make conversation

Chapter 7

Sai luckily didn’t have either of them for math as he sat in his seat toying with his hair on the arm as the teacher kept going about the importance of math and the few notes he started to write was being clouded by the thoughts of Miyuki.  He wasn’t able to forgive himself if she had gotten away but it was something Kei had with him seemed to make him wonder.  He rushed out of the class and ran to his dorm room.  Sai’s eyes turned to the door knob and saw nothing as he knocked first when he felt the door knob and tried to turn it.  He grabbed his key and opened it to the empty room.

“Yuito is still in class.”  Sai turned to Ryu as he waved towards him.

“Thanks… Can you help me with something?”  Sai asked as Ryu shrugged his shoulders.

“What is it?”

“How would you deal with a roommate trying to pry between the girl you like and you?”

Ryu smiled as they went into the room.  “Simple!  Play the game and win with the best strategy.”

“What is that?”  Sai scratched his head.

“Tell her that it doesn’t matter what is between you two and just confront the girl you like.”  He explained as Sai lowered his head.

“What if you have to go on a date with said girl because you fear that she may badmouth you?”

Ryu shrugged his shoulders.  “That’s up to you.”

Ryu left the room as Sai got his change of clothes and towel to take a shower.  He entered the area with the sound of a few people showering as he managed to get through the locker room and dropped off the used towel before grabbing a new one before the shower.  He kept it brief before he started to use his brain to over calculate his moves and brushed his hair back as he got his clothes on for the date, a black rock t-shirt and shorts.

Sai arrived at the shuttle stop with the bus arriving as the only one boarding as the driver whistled before departing as he had to venture down to the bottom.  He planned out the night and played the game that Kei wanted to do and when he looked up, it was the restaurant across the street and crossed over to find a seat as the waitress placed the two glasses down filled with water.  He took a sip as the water flowed freely into his throat as he saw her walking in with the beige top and black mid-thigh skirt.  Her hair was brought back and laid over her right shoulder.

“Evening.”  Sai said as he stood to allow her to take a seat across of him.

“Evening.”  She replied as she took a sip of her water.  “I’m glad you came.”

“Did I have the choice?”  He questioned as she hid her mouth behind her hand.

“You really like Miyuki, don’t you?”  Kei smiled with Sai nodding.

“Don’t you think I would take this if I didn’t?”  He retorted as Kei shook her head.

“Well… let’s order something and we can discuss Miyuki.”  Kei suggested as Sai saw the waitress and pointed toward the special.

Sai observed Kei from across the table as it was more than a game but if she was truly overcame by Sai’s attractiveness, it would only mean trouble but Kei took advantage of Miyuki’s shyness, he thought.  The disappointment was building within him that maybe it could have been the case when his brows rose as the bottom of her foot started to rub against his shin.  He scooted his chair back as she saw the smile appear.  It was the dirty trick but the meal arrived in time to avoid further embarrassment.

He saw the stir-fry with bits of bacon and slid it back as he thought it was true vegetable stir-fry and the waitress nodded her head as she took back the dish as Kei pushed her hair to the back and picked up the stir fry with her chopsticks as the mixture of crunchy par cooked vegetable mixed well with the oily pork.

“Vegetarian?”

“Yes, very strictly.”  He responded as his eyes watched the chop sticks move methodically to her mouth.

“Miyuki does eat meat.”  Kei stated, swallowing her bite.

“That’s fine.  My last girlfriend liked yakiniku, didn’t bother me.”

“You had a girlfriend?  That’s interesting.”  Kei smirked.

Sai saw Kei had pulled him into the trap and now he was just in something that could bring the worst out of him.  He began to think if he told the truth of his girlfriend, it could turn into a nasty response which would make Miyuki probably hate him but it could be controlled if he didn’t panic.

“Like any person, we didn’t get along personally.”  He stated when his meal came out with no visible pieces of meat and picked up the steaming hot stir fry and placed it into his mouth.  It was perfect as Kei placed the chopsticks down onto the side of the plate.

“How was she in general?”

“Simple and smart.”

Kei snorted at the answer.  Sai was sure that his answer was making Kei wonder about him without selling himself out.  She made quick work of the meal and placed the chopsticks over the plate.  She moved her seat over as she was closing the distance but he insisted to let her come his way and saw her lean in.

“How about sex?”

Sai felt the dagger into his soul.  It was the main problem when they were together as they were stupid and in high school.  It was common to have sex but it wasn’t easy to explain the situation to Kei as he glared at her.  The truth was they did it many times over the few months.  It was her who wanted it all the time compared to him.  Sai wasn’t shy but the affection was more assaulting than the display of kissing or hugging.  She was aggressive with his behind and how she placed her hand onto his thigh before running it over his front.  Sai couldn’t take the constant show of her horniness and made the decision to stop seeing her.

“We did it.”  He answered with the bluntness.

“You have to tell me more.”  She pleaded when he placed his chopsticks down.

“I’ve said enough and if you want to get into Miyuki, tell her what you know.”  Sai narrowed his eyes when Kei turned her head.

“To be honest… I’m not doing this for me but for her because she doesn’t want you to know that she has a dark past.”  Kei explained.  “I wanted to get your attention but after the constant repeating of your name, I grew interested.”

“I see… Do I want to know?”  Sai asked lowering his tone.

“She told me that… She was abused by her father until she was sent to Tokyo with her mother.”

Sai lowered his eyes.  Kei had thought of her roommate but had done it to make her feel comfortable that males aren’t all like that and he remembered how he was like an anxious dog towards her.  He didn’t want to hear any more about Miyuki unless it was from her.  Sai went for his wallet when he felt his hand being touched.

“I’m only going to look out for her.  I’ll tell her that you’re a nice person and if you want to hear the whole story, ask her nicely.”  Kei smiled as Sai smiled back.

“Thanks!  Now I shouldn’t be so forward.”

Sai placed down the money and left it for the waitress as they left the restaurant.  The two waited out for the shuttle back to the school as a figure had been standing there at the stop.  It shielded its head as the bus pulled up when the two exited from the bus.  It was Miyuki smiling toward them.

“Hello.”

“Hello…”  Miyuki replied as she turned to Kei.

“He isn’t bad.  Maybe weird but not bad.”

“I see.  I’ll pay you back for the meal.”  Miyuki suggested as Sai moved his hand side to side.

“It’s fine.  I’ll just see you tomorrow.”

Sai walked back to the dorm where Ryu and Yuito were on the bed as Sai dove into his bed, closing his eyes as he wanted the next day to come.

I'll do it soon... Miyuki is one of those where she has hesitated enough because of her issues which I shall say now will lead to other stuff where more issues would come out

Wow ! That's kinda unexpected.

Same as above there's more to it than it seems

well this was the comment where I needed to answer because Sai is a vegetarian and usually people would either be irked or accept them.  Sai accepts but will decline to eat meat.  The concept of Mayu was more a side character rather than a main character although the surprises actually is not Mayu but someone else where that will pop up soon

Chapter 8

Sai awoke to the sun peeking through the curtains that weren’t up from when he first moved in.  He turned to the empty bed and turned back to find his phone in his pocket.  Sai remembered he didn’t have a class until the afternoon and returned to his sleep as the loud thuds awoke him.  He swung his legs over and felt the floor below as he turned the knob.

“Morning.”  Kei greeted with her hair wrapped up in a ponytail as she walked inside.

“What are you doing here?”  He asked as Kei took a seat on Yuito’s bed.

“Miyuki wanted to thank you for understanding so she is willing to ask you for a favor.”  Kei elaborated from her speech from last night.  “The thing is… she is a little curious about something.”

“If she wants to know, she should see me.”  Sai said as he laid onto his bed with his eyes still on Kei.

“True…  I’ll tell her that.  It is kind of embarrassing…”  She smiled.  “When do you have class?”

“Noon if I remember correctly, what about Miyuki?”  Sai asked as Kei shrugged her shoulder.

“I’ll check in with her when she comes back in about half an hour.”

Sai nodded as he grabbed a piece of paper and pen to write down his number and handed over to Kei before she left the room.  He thought it would be worse if Kei was trying to get to him but it seemed weird that after such hesitation, it wasn’t true.  Sai closed the curtain before returning to his bed to finish his sleep.

---

“I got his number.”  Kei informed her roommate as she dropped her bag onto the black chair to the right side of the room.

“Thanks…  Did you tell him the favor?”  Miyuki asked as Kei shook her head.

“The thing is… he feels irked about you using me to get the information out.”  Kei explained as Miyuki took a seat.  “Is it a bad thing to tell him…?”

“I can’t tell him in person because of the questions he’ll have and even if he felt comfortable, I’m different from before.”

Kei hated the fact that she was trying to play the good friend despite everything they had gone through.  Being her close classmate at first, the aura of Miyuki was beyond what people had thought.  The first day of high school Kei had sat in class when she saw her walk in with every violation of uniform code.  She hadn’t cared to say anything but the only thing that made Miyuki who she was, was the fact that in middle school she had wooed the male student body to talk to her.  Kei had seen everything for the three years but she saw something changed on the day before graduation.

Kei saw the purple circle around her left eye.  Miyuki had said that someone had pushed her down the stairs but after constant nagging, Kei got the truth about her and her intention to change when they were going to college in Tokyo.  She hesitantly agreed but once Kei saw Sai at the dorm walkthrough, she knew that Miyuki would use her magic to win him over and stepped in.

“I know you want to change but you know that everything I know is only going to hurt you if you don’t get him now.”  Kei warned Miyuki as she took her seat.  “You want your Milky name be used?”

Miyuki rose from her seat as the name was stuck like glue to her if she ever headed back to Osaka.  Osaka had become the last place she would ever visit but hearing Sai is from Osaka made her hesitant.  However, the city was her life and being away from it for less than a week was brutal but she could always use the disguise.  Milky to her was the insecure girl who had done everything to impress any man with the touch of her fingers.

“I’ll talk to him.”  Miyuki grunted as she pressed in the number and punched in the text.

This is Miyuki.  What time are you available today?

She placed her phone to the side as she waited for her reply as Kei exited the room with her bag.  Miyuki had wondered that everything that had happened was because she felt uncomfortable.  Her father was responsible for making her the woman and in the end it was continuous mental and physical abuse that made her insecure.  Miyuki remembered the few times that she had fished in customers for money and figured that any girl would do anything for money.  In the end, it helped her and her mother leave her husband but the last beating was the final one.  It was the punishment that had ended her ways.

It felt like a nightmare when he had learned about her job and earned a beating plus the pain seemed to grow as he continued to bring pain in every part of her body.  She had been left curled up when the neighbor came and saved her.  Miyuki didn’t have to see him get arrested but she ended all relations which she received one bruise and a hug for her service.  There wasn’t enough punishment to save her life but she began to think as a light came to the side of her.

3:00 is fine.  –Sai

Miyuki felt happy that she could meet him and talk to him at an available location and glanced at the phone.

Is the library okay?

Miyuki heard the ringtone quickly.

It’s fine.

Miyuki put her glasses on and let her hair down as she lay on her bed.  The pearl ceiling seemed plain when she arrived in the room but it quickly turned into a reminder about her life in general.  She knew her father was aggressive and worse if he was drunk but she had never thought he would turn against her especially she had lost her purity with him on one of his rages.  The memory made her cold as she felt the warmth run down the bridge of her nose and she had set herself to torture the soul that was her father.

She couldn’t keep her eyes closed.  Miyuki grabbed her jacket and walked out of the room to the lawn as she tried to remember the touch by Sai.

Well here it is

Chapter 9

Sai awoke seeing the message from Milky.  He felt compelled to go to the library but needing to go to class; he sprayed on the body spray and left the room.  He dragged himself over to the building with his mind filled the thoughts of having a talk and the favor was starting consume his thoughts when he stepped into the class.

“Hello!”  The woman greeted him with a high-pitched tone as he took his seat.

Sai waved towards him as he took his seat toward the door before opening his bag and organized his book and pen out on the table before glancing up at the clock.  The female was cute but rather small for someone his age.  Sai looked at the girl as she greeted him again.

“What’s your name?”  She asked in that screechy voice.

“I’m Sai.  What about you?”

“I’m Miori.  Do you want a lemon?”  She asked offering the yellow fruit in her tiny hand.

“No thanks.”

He had thoughts about any person offering a lemon to him and saw her bite into the fruit without flinching at the sour taste.  Sai only used the lemon for fruit drinks and when he put it in water.  Although she still was cute as a little sister type when the class slowly came into the room.  The professor pulled down the projector screen and turned off the light before his Power Point came up.  Sai scribbled down his incoherent speak but his mind became solely on Miyuki for the brief moment.

Sai had remembered what Kei said of Miyuki and began to place certain things that were obvious.  Kei was doing something that probably many would do if she was extremely shy.  However, it was weird to see her out at the bus stop alone.  Sai had begun to think it was maybe a setup to get him to see past Kei to Miyuki.  However, Sai liked Kei for the fact that he got to know her a bit but it wasn’t Kei that he had been aiming for all this time.

“That’s it for today!”  The professor announced as Sai shot up from his seat.

He paced toward the destination with all his might as he arrived quickly.  Sai took out his phone and Miyuki had sent him the room number for the study area and walked through the rows of shelves before arriving toward the back of the floor where the lights usually indicated if the room was occupied and saw the light off.  However, the shadow gave away the presence of the woman as she opened the door for him before flicking on the light.

“I was napping when I saw you.”  Miyuki replied as Sai placed his bag down and took a seat across of her.

“So… what do you want to talk about?”  Sai asked as Miyuki stood and fixed her glasses as she approached the chalkboard filled with dust, using the eraser to take most of it off but it flew around the room creating a cloud above them.

“The thing is… I wanted something from you.  Permission from you to allow Kei to come with us.”  Miyuki said softly.  “It is just something for at least for the first few dates and when I feel comfortable, she won’t be there.”

Sai was taken aback by the favor but he couldn’t deny something if he was drawn in by her.  He had thought of other suggestions like a double date or at least a group date but the suggestion would influence other stuff but his lips seem show his cards.

“How about a group date?”  Sai suggested as she shifted her glasses down the bridge of her nose.

“Let me think about it…  I want Kei for the first one.  I’ll pay for the meal.”  Miyuki told him as he nodded his head.

Miyuki returned to her seat as she glared at the table when Sai grabbed her hand.  He saw the shock on her face but frozen was her eyes as she stared at him waiting for something to break the moment between them.  Sai felt a pain coming to his shin as he rubbed the area when Miyuki turned her body away from him.

“Why…?”

“Sorry I’m just not used to with this.”  She explained as Sai reached out for her hand and now placing the second hand upon her soft skin.

He observed the pain of Miyuki locking eyes with him.  Sai kept his lips zippered as Miyuki grew antsy in her seat.  He slowly started to see her relax as she forced a smile.

“Since we have this done, I want to ask you about Kei.”

Miyuki shook her head.  She pulled back her hand as she went back to the board and wrote down Kei with an X struck over her name.  Sai wondered if there was something he had missed in this whole thing when she returned to the seat.  Miyuki grabbed his hand and placed it upon her cheek.  The soft skin made Sai uncomfortable as it was more affection than he had expected from her.

“The thing is I’m wondering how you know Kei…”  Sai said as Miyuki smiled.

“We were classmates but she is originally from Shiga, while I came from Nara.  We both went to school in Osaka because our parents were working there at the time and they had offered us room and board.”  She explained as Sai tilted her head.  “What’s wrong?”

“I went to school in Osaka.”  He stated as Miyuki turned her head.

“I guess we missed each other.  We were both homebodies.”

Miyuki bit her tongue as Sai shrugged his shoulders.  She knew it wasn’t the truth but to tell him she was doing a dirty deed when she was a high school student.  Truth was going to come out soon but she decided to keep her story as she decided to move on with the story.

“We decided to come here because it was nice and maybe we could get a boyfriend or two.”  She laughed nervously.

“I see…  Well, how long are we going to stay here?”  Sai asked as Miyuki removed her hand.

“As long as you stay here.”  She answered as Sai moved her chair.

“Well the library closes at seven today so let’s leave then.”  Sai whispered, seeing Miyuki smiled as she placed her head on his shoulder.

Miyuki has insecurities which is beyond her as you saw the chapters before, her capability is good but with some other subtle clues, you see that she hasn't had that "boyfriend" at any point in time.  As for Kei, you find where the problems might end up being and maybe insight into the interpersonal relationship later on between the two

this is interesting...what an enigmatic person miyuki are...that side of her really tickle sai's curiousity which made him wants to know her more...but why I have a feeling that at the end sai will choose kei over miyuki :dunno:

Well you hit the point about Miyuki/Milky about her which isn't a really tough thing but these mixed messages are really more or less what will happen and TBH you know how things go with my fics...  Expect a certain event to happen but the overall effect is for Miyuki to be able to get her life back together

The last statement

Chapter 10

Being cozy in the room was what Sai had wanted as she could feel Miyuki’s warm body radiate towards him.  He glanced a few times before accepting that they should depart the study room.  Sai stood up and pointed towards his phone as Miyuki turned to find it was fifteen minutes before closing time as the nice blue sky was an indigo painting as they headed out of the library.  The lights flickered on as Sai walked ahead of the woman.

“Where are you going?”  Miyuki asked.

“I’m taking you back to the dorms.  We still have to study and do homework.”  He explained as Miyuki managed to prance to catch up to him as she slipped her hand into his grip.

“It was nice being with you.  Maybe I should have gotten the courage to answer you in the first place.”  Miyuki said as her eyes turned toward the sky.  “It’s romantic during the evening.”

Sai smiled back as he felt the arm being wrapped by her body.  He couldn’t explain how he had really felt with her words were becoming like a bright light for a fly.  It wasn’t anything unusual for him but he hadn’t really felt head over heels for anyone in his short life.  Sai never expected Miyuki to be comforting and gave a brief moment of relief for himself.

As they arrived at the dorm, Miyuki released his arm but grabbed his hand as she dragged him to the elevator.  The doors opened as Sai was ready to leave but Miyuki brought him inside as she pressed the button.  Sai decided to not fight the invitation but it wasn’t normal for anyone to take them to their dorm room unless they are the same sex.  The doors opened to the fourth floor as Miyuki escorted him to the room and opened the door to her roommate eyes down into the book.

“Hello!”

“Hey!”  Sai waved as Miyuki gave Sai a quick hug before he left the room.

“You seem rather clingy…”  Kei observed as Miyuki sat in her bed.  “Like before…”

“I can’t help it, the habits die hard.”  Miyuki shot back as she placed her glasses onto the table.  “It’s not like I’m going to ask for the same job again.”

Kei placed the thin strip of red felt paper between the pages and closed it.  She knew how Miyuki would declare and go back on her word.  Kei had saved her on numerous occasions during outings.  She felt enraged on how Miyuki had changed from the new Miyuki to Milky instantly.  It was seemingly a spirit inhabiting Miyuki when times go well but changed back in time.

“It isn’t fair that you can get people easily while I have to work hard to even get one person to like me.”  Kei grunted before falling onto her bed.

“It isn’t right to keep a lizard.”  Miyuki retorted with her roommate rolling her eyes.

“I won’t deal with just sitting around.”  Kei stood and marched outside to the hallway.

Kei had her limit with Milky at times and especially where she played her cards correctly, there was no way she could win when Miyuki had her way.  She marched down to the common area and took a seat on the couch.  Kei laid down when the lights were turned on as she shielded her eyes from brightness.

“What are you doing here?”  The high-pitched voice caught the woman.

“I just wanted to hang out here for a moment.”  Kei answered as the woman walked up and took a seat at the nearest table.

“I see.”  She could see the frustration growing on her face.  “Had a fight with your roommate?”

Kei nodded.  She couldn’t remember the woman’s name but she sat with her clipboard in her hand staring at Kei.  She managed to stare into the woman’s eyes when she couldn’t help but smile after a few seconds.

“I’m Yamada Nana.”  She introduced herself as Kei extended her hand.  “Do you mind telling me what happened?”

Kei started with the history between Miyuki and her.  It was brief before she explained how she felt compelled that no one would ever like her because she wasn’t as attractive as her roommate and she wasn’t as outgoing.  Kei felt frustrated that Miyuki could do anything to get a man while she felt compelled to push herself more than the usual.  Kei vented out that Miyuki was back to her usual seductive ways that made her infamous in high school but it seemed make her feel warm inside.

She turned to Nana as the coordinator stared at her.

“I guess the best thing for you is to find someone.”  Nana suggested as Kei nodded.

“Thanks.”  She said as Nana moved to the couch, plopping her body next to Kei.

“Do you think I’m bossy?”  She asked in a soft voice as Kei tilted her head.

“Not really… You’re the coordinator so it would be your job to guide, right?”

Nana nodded as she stood and waved before leaving the room.  Kei saw her leave as the shadow from the hallway caught her attention when she saw a woman poked her head into view.  The glare from the glasses gave away her identity as she walked into the room.

“I’m sorry for that.”  Her roommate apologized before turning away from her.

“I think you should be for making me play this game.”  Kei said as Miyuki turned holding a smile.

“Sounds like the Kei I know…”

Kei walked out of the room when she felt someone grab her hand.  Miyuki was out of her sight when the warm touch seemed to get her on alert.  She turned to find her with a smile on her face.  Kei smiled back but something made her want to thank her and moving away from the moonlight Kei held the hands before moving into the personal zone as the head turned to taste her soft lips.  Kei pulled away for a brief moment when a wider smile came onto her face.

“Was that good enough?”  Kei asked.

“My room is on the second floor.”  She smiled.  “You know that I figured it out quickly?”

“No!  But I think you also know something more…”  Kei hinted when she saw a smile.

“Guilty as charged. Na na na.”

Chapter 11

“Sai, where have you been?”  Yuito asked as he entered the room with his roommate looking up from his book.

“I’ve been hanging out with Miyuki.”  He answered before throwing his body onto the bed.

Yuito liked the fact that Sai had someone but he always watched out for people.  It was intuition that filled his mind when he had Ryu in one of his classes and found out that he had liked someone but insisted to seek Sasshi instead.  He was right when the girl had pursued Ryu in ways that made his friend cautious before Yuito had decided to chase her away.

“Well three more days until the weekend so you have something set up?”  Yuito casually asked.

“She said she wanted to have Kei with us.”  Sai explained when Yuito’s light instantly turned on.

Yuito knew someone was playing the game.  The thing was who it was.  He couldn’t say that someone had played Sai into a trap and grabbed his phone to text the closest person.  After sending the text, he narrowed his eyes towards the roommate.

“Are you sure you know what you are getting yourself into?”

“Miyuki is rather shy but affectionate like a cat…”

Yuito shook his head as he hoped for an answer soon enough as Sai closed his eyes for the night.  There were many things that he had hated and one was women who took control of men.  He wasn’t personally affected but he didn’t like it as his mother had developed that personality which made his father run away from them.  For years she had despise his mother for chasing his father away and rightfully so that he had found a better life outside of the broken family.  Yuito left his mother to live with an aunty and eventually found his way to Tokyo.

“I’m hoping this is going to help him out.”  He muttered to himself before turning in himself.

Sai awoke the next morning, refreshed and excited.  He headed to the showers before walking off to class.  The air was much heavier than yesterday as the dark clouds had come overhead.  He jogged to the classroom, observing the few people who were in there and the one that made him wonder about the deal with Miyuki.  He peeked inside as her eyes saw him before he could lose the eye contact.  Sai walked into the room as he took the seat next to hers.

“Aren’t you happy you got to be with Miyuki?”  Kei posed the question as he forced a smile.

“Yes, but I’m kinda hesitant in why she is having you on our dates.”  He explained as Kei turned her head.

Kei knew the plan was to draw Sai toward Miyuki without saying the truth but it was getting close to revealing it without trying. Miyuki was great to fish in people but she had a heart of devil especially with ones who she liked.  However, Kei knew the difference and seeing Milky become devilish brought out the worst and Kei would nip it quickly.  Kei knew now that Miyuki couldn’t play the game and was serious about her love at first sight.  It wasn’t what they had first thought out but somehow it seemed an opportunity couldn’t be passed.

“It is just safety.  I’ll be on one.  The first one so Miyuki doesn’t feel vulnerable.”  Kei elaborated as Sai just nodded.

“I see.”

Sai took out his phone and looked up Miyuki’s number and punched in the idea.

Saturday at the café 3:00

Kei saw the rest of the class come in before she could take out her phone.  She felt jittery that Sai had been told of the plan outright but luckily it could have been anything to be sent out before class.  She sat there waiting for the class to be over when Sai’s eyes grew to the size of watermelons.  The teacher glanced over as Kei took out her phone.  Nothing.  She could have sworn Miyuki would have sent a text back but it was her normal screen.  She placed it back as Sai exited the room.

“What are you doing?”  Sai asked as Yuito handed over the phone.

“Paru and Sasshi have heard something about a rumor between Kei and Miyuki.  I’m not sure but I also pulled you out of class because I couldn’t wait until you come back to the dorm.”

Sai shook his head before returning to the class as Yuito went back to his cell phone.  It wasn’t the usually stuff that would worry him but he remained diligent that the trap had been set.

The professor wrapped up his lecture when Kei exited toward the back door as Sai went through the front.  The next class would have Miyuki and probably could chat a bit before class.  He headed upstairs to the lounge where she saw the woman again with her head in the book.  Sai walked to the other end of the hallway to the open window when he felt his cell phone vibrate in his shorts.  He took it out and stared at the screen.

3:00 is fine.  See ya then~ -Miyuki

Sai breathed out a sigh as he turned again to see Maeda in front of him.  She gave him a short, genuine smile before walking away to the stairs.  Sai wasn’t sure why she would do so and went down the stairs to the empty hallways as he entered into Shinoda’s office as the short-haired woman saw him and offered a seat.  Mariko gave him a smile when Maeda had peeked inside.

“Ah Yamamoto-san!  Are you waiting for my class?”

He nodded as she took a seat next to Shinoda.  Maeda had glanced toward him, sliding her chair like if he was a magnet.  “You’re so cute!”

“Thanks?”

“Better lay off him, you still have to treat your other student.”  Shinoda warned her as he tapped her chin.

“He gets a present after class.”  Maeda smiled as she placed her hand on top of his exposed thigh.

She ran her hand up and down like she was petting a cat before pulling away from him.  Sai never felt his heart race like that as he watched her leave the office.  Sai had wondered about what she had for him when Shinoda turned around.

“I would warn you that she’s desperate so tread lightly around her.”

Sai exited the room as the sensation ran through his body while he kept thinking about Miyuki in the situation.

Chapter 12

Sai kept quiet about the situation as the next class started.  He could only see the teacher’s eyes staring at him as he felt like digging a hole as Miyuki watched the interaction quietly.  It became intuition that the teacher had visibly gotten Sai nervous and she decided to sit back to watch how it would all unfold.  It wasn’t unusual to see it from a rival but the teacher had he wrapped around her finger as she continued to lecture with her eyes boring into him.

Miyuki leaned in.  “Don’t worry… she’s only playing this but you have to play along.”

“How… I need to pay attention.”  Sai whispered back when she pressed her lips against his cheek.  The teacher paused in mid-sentence as the class dropped their pencils to their books before she continued again when Sai felt the break in the hypnotic wave.

Sai noticed Maeda not aiming towards him and could finish up class as he exited through the back door.  Miyuki sat in her seat with the pair of eyes staring back at her.  Her claws were instantly sharpened as she smirked toward the teacher.

“The old guard shows up here.”  Miyuki stood as she walked toward the teacher.  “I heard about your kind when I first started in the business.  Tricks never die with the woman.”

“I guess so… Watanabe-san.”  She remarked when her eyes squinted towards her.  “He’s yours?”

Miyuki nodded before grabbing her stuff and headed toward the door.  She heard the teacher mutter the word that any hostess would take offense too and flashed back a smile.

“Once a hostess, always a hostess.”  She stated before walking out of the room.

Miyuki never liked confrontation but in the line of business, she had to stand her ground.  Time after time she had gained respect with her clientele but the day she had given up the art.  There were many angry people but they understood that her age and position had brought many issues and the men had decided to offer their salaries for her education.  She was glad but the fact was it wasn’t just a job; it was a skill that she had possessed through trial and error.  In the end, the men had set a pact that if she needed help in any way they would assist.

She headed back to the dorms and took a seat in the common area when another woman had taken a seat next to her with a book in her hand.  Miyuki noted that she could have randomly come into her sight but womanly instinct hit her quickly.  She glanced at the book and made her wonder about philosophy.

“Did you know that it is simpler to spy on someone when they expect you?”  She spoke out loud as the woman lowered the book.

She stared at her for the brief moment before Miyuki grabbed the book.  Miyuki saw in her eyes the moment that she had been caught and confessed about spying on her because she had been told to.  She didn’t say the person but many came to mind and the one that would seem to hurt had made her consider to text Sai but shook the head on the idea.  Miyuki left the area to head to the sanctuary of the library.
---

Yuito saw the text and shook his head.  The woman was much smarter than he had thought and decided to cancel it altogether as it wouldn’t be necessary but in his mind the rumor was on the fence about being fact.  It wasn’t unusual to see a greater friendship between two people but it wasn’t unusual that they had been roommates.  Yuito had placed everything into the pot and made his decision about the two as being less concerning and letting Sai to figure out the situation himself.

“Lucky bastard.”  He smiled before heading back to the room.
---

Sai felt irked by Maeda and shaken by Miyuki that he had walked over to the center where the older students would hang out.  He didn’t know better but many stared at him for being there when he saw a guitar on the stand and picked it up to start strumming.  The people gathered around him as he closed his eyes with the feel of passion with the instrument.  The slow movements of his fingers hypnotized the crowd before ending with the quick stretch of hums before the crowd applauded his effort.

Sai placed the guitar back onto the stand before exiting the place as he headed back to the dorm.  He smelt the wet atmosphere and decided to jog to the nearest awning and the drizzle came like first snow from the sky.  He glanced at his phone and brought up the name.

Do you have time to talk? – Sai

Sai placed the phone back into his pocket as he waited for the response.  He liked the noise from the crowd as he closed his eyes remembering the feeling when the ringtone broke his dream.

I have a little bit of time.  Explain why Maeda got to you?

He knew that question would come out but something seemed to catch him by surprise.  Sai remembered Maeda as his previous girlfriend and couldn’t allow himself to get his mind around it but when he felt her touch.  It was a reminder that he couldn’t forget her.  His mind seemed to go back and then Miyuki breaking the stare brought him back to reality.

Reminded me of my old girlfriend…

It was a quick reply.

Maybe I should talk about the fact that I know what happened and you should remember that I’m here.

Sai smiled at the comment.  He sighed before returning the text message.

Would you come out in this weather?  XD

Sai smiled as the drizzle stopped for a brief moment.  He walked out to the library when he saw someone come towards him.  The shadow couldn’t indicate who it was but she came a quickened pace when their eyes met.  He grabbed her hand and took her to the nearest place where he had glanced up at the sky.

“I… might be in too deep.”

“It isn’t shallow.”  She replied with a smile.

Miyuki/Milky situation is complicated at best.  Can Sai be the one to change the personality?

Chapter 13

Sai after the meeting had let the couple days go by smoothly as Maeda seemingly turned her attention away from him and Shinoda had been informed about the situation that she took over the class for her.  However, Miyuki was aware of the situation and seeing that Shinoda was more in tuned with her students and their needs, it allowed her to relax for the class.  Sai began to see Miori sit by him although the talk of lemons was making him nauseous but her cute voice was something to come in early.

As Friday afternoon came, Sai and Yuito had decided to hang with Ryu as he had setup the night for drinking and gave Sai a few non-alcoholic drinks when they started talking about their lives.  Sai had learned about Ryu’s love for poetry despite his attention span was long and spending time to look over each poem he has written.  Yuito was blunt and said Ryu was soft with other and especially Sasshi, who had a reputation to be aggressive in bed.  Despite the many times Yuito managed to ask the question with a huge smile on his face, Ryu never answered the question.

“You seem rather quiet, Sai.”  Yuito handed him another soda as he popped it open to take a drink.

“Just listening to the conversation.”  He replied as Ryu walked up seeing his red eyes.

“You should be able to tell us anything.  We won’t tell anyone.”  Ryu said before snickering as they each opened another beer with the red cups in hand.

“What do you guys want to know?”

The two leaned toward each other as they whispered their ideas.  It was secret to Sai that they were probably going to get him to talk about anything but to what subject seemingly was up in the air.  Sai felt the can go empty as the urges called and left the room to find the restroom.  He walked by to see the woman in the hallway.  Sai froze as she walked by and knocked on the door across of theirs.  He wasn’t sure whose room it was but she was invited in regardless and ran to do his business.  As he pulled up to the urinal, he saw a hand go up into the air.

“Oi, Yamamoto!”  He called out as Sai released the stream.

“Kuu?”  Sai sighed as the stream continued when he saw Kuu pulled away from the urinal and flushed the toilet.

“Are you hanging with Ryu them?”

Sai nodded, shaking off the excess as Kuu washed his hand.  He pulled to the next sink and turned on the water.

“Ah, would you mind if I join you guys?  I got ditched by Kai because of his new girlfriend.”  Kuu rolled his eyes as he made the circle and the pointer finger thrusting into it.  “Horny bastard!”  He laughed.

“Let me ask Yuito and Ryu.”  Sai informed Kuu as he turned off the water and grabbed a handful of paper towels before having Kuu followed him to the room.

Kuu turned off the room, pressing his ear onto the door as he grinned, hearing the door.  Sai glanced back before entering the room as Sai pointed to Kuu and waved him inside.  Sai pulled him inside as they gave him a beer.  They took their seats on the floor as Ryu pointed toward Sai with a smile.

“Your former girlfriend… how was she?”

Sai smirked at the question.  “She was okay.  We were part of a band and she saw me as probably the best out of the group although I wasn’t special in any way that she had seen me.  Her name was Koyumi and we went on couple of dates before we decided that it would be best to not pursue our relationship beyond what we were doing.”

“I guess she must have been nice and kept to herself.”  Ryu assumed.

“Actually the opposite, she was outspoken for majority of the time and since it was a fantasy to be in a band, I couldn’t let her cry to her parents.”  Sai explained, grabbing another can from the cooler.

“Ah, lucky Miyuki is more the quiet type.”  Yuito said with exhaling out a belch that would have shaken the ground if he aimed it out perfectly.

Sai didn’t really believe she was the quiet type.  She was quite affectionate but it felt forced at times as she tried to snuggle up with him despite being extremely close with her.  Her smile was the biggest charm that she possessed.  Sai couldn’t help but be brought in with her smile.  He observed it as part devil and part angel.  Overall, it was a girl that was experienced yet wasn’t comfortable with him.  Sai consulted his mind that Miyuki must have a boyfriend before and used her charm to win them over but it wasn’t raw.

“We have to stop you from thinking.  Tell us what the problem is!”  Ryu asked as he swayed from his seat.

“It isn’t anything.  Just the date tomorrow.”  He explained as the three went into a huddle.

Sai sat as he nursed his can waiting for the consultation to be over.  He went back to analyze Miyuki as he tried to compared her to Koyumi.  That seemed to be perfect as at best she was the opposite that Miyuki would play close yet be distant like she knew about puppetry.  Sai turned back to the sight of the three looking at him.

“What are you expecting?”  Kuu asked.

“Just the date.  I don’t think we should do anything but that.”  Sai explained as the three fell to the floor.

As the three started to shake their heads, Sai knew that it was an open invitation for anything.  It was early enough that anything could have happened but the last option on his list wasn’t going to happen regardless because that was his philosophy.  Then, he remembered that Kei would probably block anything coming his way.  It had to be the last thing on the list unless the best and worst possibility would come to life.

“Okay, we forgot that this is the first date.”  Ryu felt his voice crack.  “We will let you go but if it happens, we will have another counsel for this.”

Sai smiled as the loud moan caught all four by surprise and they rushed to the door.  Kuu was the person behind the three as he started to snicker at the group.

“What’s with the laugh?”  Yuito asked.

“Kai must be happy because he believes that he is on pills for endurance but those were laxatives.”  Kuu rolled to the floor as the rest followed him rolling on the floor when the voices outside made it worse to keep their composure.

Chapter 14

Sai couldn’t believe the night was still young as Kai came running out holding his behind with the fudge stain spreading with the mysterious woman appearing in the hallway.  Kuu had peeked outside, snickering with every moment as Sai decided to see through the opening and knew it was Maeda as the slender body and her hair was recognizable from anywhere.  Yuito and Ryu were still on the floor laughing as Kuu decided to step out with Maeda wrapped up in the satin sheet.

“This is classic.”  Yuito held his stomach.  “Kuu is the prankster of the century.”

“I can’t believe he would do it to his roommate.”  Ryu added as Kuu had returned with his V sign, grabbing his beer from the bookshelf and taking his gulp in the glory of all pranks.

“What is this about?”  Sai asked the group as they stopped their crying.  They glared at him when they all turned to each other as Yuito stepped up to explain to his roommate.

“Since last year, we had a bet that if you can prank somebody and we raise the bar every time but Kuu here had made the epic prank by making one of the students think she had stink feet.  The best part the student body played it well that Oshima-san was convinced her girlfriend had stink feet.”  He explained when Yuito started tapping his chin.  “What was her name?”

“Kojima Haruna.  She was clueless and Yuko told her to go to the pit of cheap wine and bathe her feet in it.”  Kuu added as he smiled toward him.

“The final result was Yuko had been tricked by everyone by not smelling it first because she had stepped in dog poop during the day.  That’s why Kuu needed to do a prank.”

Sai nodded, understanding the situation.  He closed the door behind them as they continued their drinking.

They knew Fridays were usually lax because of the weekend and many knew that no one would call for curfew unless it got loud but many gatherings were frustration-laced tirades against the new professors and sometimes the usual romances but for the four they were cruising with each other with more stories.  Kuu told them about his situation being just an observer of women.  He acknowledged that it was no way he would get anybody by staying quit but he didn’t like to converse with people in general.  It wasn’t unusual to sit around with others but just talking to classmates, he would rather walk away and enjoy the freedom of life beyond the school.

“Where did Kojima-senpai go though?”  Kuu asked, ruffling through his short, messy hair.

“I think she is still on campus avoiding you.”  Ryu replied.

“Or having sexy times with Yuko.”  Yuito added.

“Ah she doesn’t like to flaunt her stuff like Yuko.”  Kuu informed them.  “Yuko doesn’t have the largest set but she makes them presentable when she does speeches.”

The two agreed as on occasion they have seen her adjust herself on stage without shame and her bright, energetic personality made up for her lack of awareness.  Sai nodded through the discussion as he slowly learned about the people on campus with tomorrow creeping onto his mind.  The phone’s ringtone broke his concentration as Yuito took out his phone and stared at the screen.  He downed the last drops of the can before standing up, holding out his hands to the side.

“Where are you going?”  Ryu asked.

“Someone is… ready.”  He replied wobbling but making a straight path to the door.

“Ah, I guess have fun.”  Ryu waved as Sai and Kuu followed in saying goodbye.  “Sasshi would never be like that.”  He chuckled as he took out the last beer from his cooler.

“Aww man.  It’s over!”  Kuu sighed.  “The shops are closed now too.”

Ryu hesitantly nodded with the rosiness on their faces slowly fading away, they were forced to sit back and wait for morning to come.  Kuu glanced at his phone and shook his head as he lay on the carpet with Sai taking the bed.  He found it rather firmer than his bed and then noticed that bed extended further than expected and slid his body when Ryu let out a snicker.

“My roommate actually doesn’t come in until later in the semester.  He is a model for a top designer in France so he gets his work online and he turns it in whenever it is due.  When he comes in… Actually if he comes into the school.”  Ryu explained as Sai turned to let out a belch into the air.

“I see.  He must be freakishly tall.”

“His girlfriend is a teacher here for physiology and don’t tell me how that happen but she is currently one of the best researchers for ears.”  Ryu added about the model as he placed his head on the pillow.  “Since there is no curfew, walk around and maybe join someone else.  Kuu and I will do more talking.”

Sai thought about his words and knew that with Yuito probably occupied, the room would not be open to him so he decided to glance around the hall.  It was quiet and dim but there was a noise factor that entered his mind that was probably happening in most of the rooms.  Sai went up to the end of the hallway when ringtone went off.

I can’t sleep.  Would you mind talking a bit?  If I don’t reply, don’t worry.

Sure!  What’s on your mind?

The date…I heard Kei got a date and she doesn’t want us to be with her.  I guess we have to go alone.

That’s fine.  Don’t you want that?

Yes yet I’m a little scared.

Don’t worry.  I don’t expect everything on this date.  We can work through this.

Thanks!  I think that took a load off my mind.

Sai let out a yawn and returned to Ryu’s room where he laid down on the bed and closed his eyes for the next day.

well make the obvious choice for both and have your answer.

The NMB members... IDK about that because to fit them in here will make it weird because of the setting but we may have some appearances (I hope)

I was working on some other stuff i.e. B-day OS so I never got to writing it out until now although I may just go with another OS soon but the thing is and sadly... I will end this part of the arc soon.  The story will take more of a turn as I get away from the school portion to a more interpersonal level

Chapter 15

Kei liked Friday nights.  She didn’t want to party as so much as to unwind but Milky’s ways made her fort watching rather than having fun but with the change in Milky in trying to maintain an angel image, Kei had her chance at fun.

Kei walked to the door and gave it two knocks as she opened it to the one bedroom apartment.  She glanced around with the scent of honey entering into her nose as the coordinator had a lamp set on the table overlooking the glass and bottle of amber liquid.  Kei took her seat on the floor as Nana carried the bottle by the neck and placed it next to her with a glass in the other hand, presenting it to Kei.

“Drink?”

The simple question conquered the young woman’s mind.  She had the choice as she knew the drinking age and Nana was in front of her as a smile crept to her face.  Kei held up her hand as she waved it to the frown of the coordinator.  She began to process everything and it seemed to be an honest question as Nana poured out a glass.

“I won’t force you but I don’t have anything else at the moment so we can do a cheer.”  Nana explained pushing the glass over to Kei, seeing it tip as the wooden floor soaked up the alcohol.  “Gomen.”

“It’s fine.  I’ll clean it up.”  Kei forced a smile as she grabbed the towel from the basket and spread it over the spill as the smell of honey bloomed again.

Kei made it quick as Nana poured the alcohol into the glass and handed to her instead.  She lifted it over her head as both managed to clang glasses as Nana made a quick gulp, exhaling a squeaky sigh as she placed the wooden cork into the bottle.  Kei observed her blood shot eyes going left and right as she lunged forward managing to feel the pain on her nose and smiling as her breath was thick with liquor.  Nana pursed her lips before pecking upon her soft lips.

“How long have you been drinking?”  Kei asked as Nana couldn’t maintain her weight under her frail arms.

“Since the… afternoon.”  Nana grinned as her head rested upon the firm exterior below Kei’s head.

Kei wasn’t happy that she resting upon her assets.  She wasn’t happy at all that she had been drinking from the afternoon.  There were no happy moments just being with her but she had the sudden relief that she moved off and gave her the blank stare observing her bloodshot eyes.  The silence seemed golden to her as everything seemed to reflect what Nana had been expecting with her breathing becoming variable.

“Do you want to do it now?”  Kei said as the words seemed to come like a heartbeat as Nana shook her head.

“I’m too buzzed to even process but I’m curious…”  Nana forced a smirk upon her face.  “What about we share something about each other?”

Kei rolled onto her stomach before placing her weight onto her knees.  She began to think a bit about her life and it wasn’t anything that seemed to make people be impressed by her.  She knew just talking to someone would be impressive enough but deep inside there was a tidbit about her life that many didn’t know.  Kei knew Miyuki would be the last one to know especially that Kei had missed it dearly.

“I have a bird.”  Kei shouted with a smile as Nana crossed her arms, narrowing her eyes towards the woman.

“Sigh… What about the bird?”

Kei felt the lump in her throat grew to the size of a lemon.  She was speechless as the only idea seemed to disappoint the coordinator.  Kei usually would be able to analyze it perfectly but it seemed hopeless to go further and she finally had to reveal the hand that was dealt to her.  She had glanced at Nana and tackled her onto the bed.  The sweet nectar in her breath had brought the urge to continue to go further as Kei pressed her lush lips before pulling back with Nana’s mouth left ajar.

“Forget about the bird!  What do you want me to do?”  Kei vented out the obvious as the drunken woman sat up on the bed.

“The thing is… I’ve been hiding a secret with everyone and it seems weird that people haven’t figured it out but… I’m actually attracted to girls.”

“I see.  It wouldn’t bother me.”  Kei said with a small smile appearing on her face as Nana moved up to her.

“The thing is you’re the first person who’ve I’d admit it to and I would like to keep it that way.”  Nana grinned towards her as she wrapped her arms around her torso.

Kei closed her eyes for a bit as the warmth from Nana seemed to be transferred instantly over to her.  She hadn’t thought that someone would ever confess, even if it was a girl.  Kei let her arm rest around Nana’s head as the weight pushed her over to the bed.  For moments, Nana shivered in her arms making Kei grin widely as Nana would slap her playfully on the midsection.  It seemed too calm that it was a dreamlike setting before she would pinch herself and then she felt Nana’s hand reach up and cup one of Kei’s breasts.

“They feel big.”  She murmured.

“I guess so…”  Kei replied coldly as Nana grabbed her hand and placed it upon her chest.  Kei’s heart instantly stopped as her hand seemed to mold around the large mass.  She could hear the soft moaning escaping from her partner’s mouth before she pulled back.

“We’re about the same size.”  Nana snuggled up, removing her hand from her chest and sliding it under her shirt as she felt the flat midsection with her finger.

“You actually might be bigger.”  Kei admitted as she placed her hand on top of the chest again, squeezing it before moving her hand onto her cheekbone as she slowly traced it down to her chin.  “One day we’ll confirm my suspicions.”

“Yes… one day.”  Nana confirmed before letting out a yawn.  “As for now, I feel drained…”

Kei’s eyes went heavy instantly, turning her body towards her partner as her lips pressed against her forehead.  She naturally went ahead and waited for Nana to return the kiss but she turned with a loud nasally sound, forcing Kei to open her eyes.  Nana to her had suddenly become someone who she had become accustomed to let her be understood and the last thought seemed to come naturally about Milky and she felt at ease that Sai could tame what the character had been presented to him under the mask that was shown.

Chapter 16

Sai awoke to the silence of Ryu sleeping in his bed as the hard floor below had supported him for the hours.  He ventured out to the room where Yuito had left the door open with a pillow on top of his head.  Sai had felt his midsection growling for the moment as he walked out to the empty campus and saw the cafeteria was closed.  Sai glanced around as a group of students were at the bus stop.  He followed them into the bus and out into the town.

Sai let his instincts lead him into the town although the glimpse from before school started gave him a map of what he hadn’t seen.  The café for one was well-known but along the street had couple boutiques and a bank.  He walked further to the convenience store and then turning the corner, he paced through the alley to the smell of Osaka.  His nose got him to a man laying down the pancake batter on the hot skillet as the sizzle filled the lungs of the boy.

“Irrashai~” The boisterous man greeted him as the apron covered in brown streaks seemed to be the battle scars of the day.

“May I come in?”  Sai had asked pushing the curtain away as the view of his face made the man gleam under the one strong light above with beads of sweat running from his brow.

His huge hand waved him in like a net casted for a fish.  Sai took a seat as he watched him made the pancake as he filled it up with fermented cabbage and bits of peppers before the paddle the size of the man’s width picked it up and slammed it back to the griddle, seasoning the other side with catlike reflexes.

“Do you want one?”  His low voice boomed into Sai’s heart as his stomach seemed to whimper at the size and he showed the price, his heart dropped as he had to take a double look before handing him four golden coins.

“Thanks.”  Sai said as the knife and fork was forwarded to him with the napkin placed into his shirt.

He cut into the thick, soft pancake and carved out a small triangle as he shoveled it into his mouth as the warmth of home came to him with the kick of the pepper filled his mouth as he chewed before swallowing it.  He yelled out his pleasure a few times as he kept cutting it up and placing in various places of the plate.  Sai kept at the rapid pace despite the taste buds taking the punishment of the blistering item and he got through halfway of his meal when he finally placed his tools down.

“Why so cheap?”  He asked as the man gave him a smile.

“This is actually my final day here… The lease is up and I’m cooking the last of my ingredients before I head back to the homeland.”  He explained.  “Are you from Osaka?”

“Yes!  I never had these for a while because they usually have bacon.”  Sai made the man bit down on his lip.

“I’m glad.  Customers came here often but my wife is sick and she supported me until today so I finally decided to close it up for good.”  The man flipped another one over onto the hot griddle.

“I see.”  Sai smiled as he picked up his tools and continued at the large mass of cooked dough in front of him.  His struggle became evident with the last quarter seemingly staring at him when he asked for a container.  The man rubbed his belly as he bid Sai good luck with school as he return one for his wife.

He could barely waddle his way out of the place when he glanced at his phone.  Sai cursed himself that he had left the school in the middle of the morning as he counted the hours in his head and now with his stomach filled with cooked dough, he couldn’t allow the mass to get through quick enough and sat upon the bench overlooking the pond as a fisherman was on his boat casting the line.  It was rather soothing on a calm day to watch people do their normal routine.  He began to watch the few people walk by when the ringtone broke his concentration.

Be there in an hour.

Sure.  I’ll be waiting for you.

Sai watched the people until he had to meet up with Miyuki at the café.  Nerves were become evident as being outside for most of the day brought a sticky consistency onto his skin.  It was the faux pas of what he usually didn’t want to do but in the situation he walked into the public bathroom to freshen up himself with the water and paper towels as he took a deep breath.  Every step his heart skipped a beat until he reached the front door and then it felt like it locked upon itself.

“Ah~ Sai-kun!  Welcome!”  Mayu greeted him as his eyes were on Miyuki.

The black shirt with long sleeves matched with the checkered skirt that ended right above her knees caught his attention.  The glasses were on top of her head as she sat alone at the table.  His mouth went dry as Mayu pointed him over to the table, taking his seat blindly with his attention on Miyuki.  If he could only say what he wanted to say, it would have been over instantly but he began to lick his lips with the words seemingly to fall out from his tongue.

“You… you look beautiful.”  He smiled.

“Thanks… I thought it would be something nice to wear.”  She explained as he began to curse his excursion around the town.

“It is nice… you can order whatever.”  He blabbered as he couldn’t peel off the beauty of Miyuki’s eyes.

Miyuki’s heart thumped as she saw him through her blurred vision.  The voice was enough to make her heart flutter but she had placed an importance of not using her glasses.  She kept them on top of her head as she squinted at the menu.  Miyuki felt frustrated that the resistance was slowly waning and then letting her glasses fall into place, her cheeks instantly turned into roses as she ordered the finger sandwiches with the apple juice.

Sai followed the order except with a lemon-lime soda as Mayu picked up their menus before shuffling away.  He kept his lips shut as he couldn’t think of anything to say.  Desperately, he wanted to start up something but it wasn’t coming to his mind quickly like someone had blocked his brain from actually thinking.  He couldn’t understand what was happening and excused himself from the table.  He rushed to the bathroom as he threw the stall door open and lowered his pants before taking a seat.

“Son… I need to inform you about something.”  He heard the voice and began to shake it off.  “Take a few seconds to listen to me.  Miyuki maybe in some trouble.”

“What do you mean?”  He grunted as he unleashed his deposit.

“Follow me to the alley.  The rest will watch her from inside the restaurant.”

Chapter 17

“I’m a police officer from Osaka and I noticed you were with Milky.”  He introduced himself as he stood stoically being about Sai’s height of 160 centimeters.  The officer in plain clothes took out the cigarette with a flicker of the lighter, it became lit.

“Milky?  Who is Milky?  Her name is Miyuki.”  Sai questioned the man when he blew the smoke into the air.

“The thing is without trying to make a scene.  I need to save her from her father.”  He explained briefly.  “She has a bad relationship with her father and we are here to save her from him.”

“Okay… This is ridiculous by what you are telling me.”  Sai shook his head as he went back into the café.  There were too many things as he returned to the table when Miyuki was glancing around the restaurant before turning back to Sai.

She smiled at him as their food had arrived.  Sai waved to Mayu before she left them to eat.  He began to pick up one of the sandwiches with his eyes scanning the area as there were twenty men in certain areas of the restaurant.  He couldn’t really think who could have been the father and it roamed in his mind.

“Something bothering you?”  Milky asked as she swallowed her sandwich.

“It isn’t anything.  I’m just nervous.”  He grinned as he took another sandwich to scan the other side as there were a few men and couples near the windows.  The officer’s words seemed to fill his head as he down the sandwiches before taking a sip of his drink.  He didn’t want to create attention by moving quickly and he watched Miyuki eat her sandwich.

Sai felt content as Miyuki pranced over to the desert area under the glass as Sai followed her to seek something that maybe they could share as the people didn’t move but their eyes were towards them before he turned back to her as she picked the strawberry milk cake with the quarter piece of strawberry on top of the white topping.

“May I have one?”  She asked as the person grabbed a piece and presented it to her as they returned to the table.

“I guess we can go for a walk after this to burn off the food.”  She giggled as Miyuki cut into the cake.  She showed the piece to Sai as he waved his hand to Miyuki’s frown.  Miyuki forced it his way before showing the piece to him and taking it at the last instance.  Sai smiled as the trap was set for him as she continued to cut into it until she consumed the last piece and pushed the plate toward the middle of the table.

“Shall we go and cruise toward the pond?”  Sai suggested as Miyuki nodded grabbing his hand as they headed out to the twilight.

Sai eyed out the people as they moved like chess pieces keeping away from Miyuki’s sight.  They headed to the edge where the moonlight reflected off the water’s surface.  Sai wrapped around her waist as she pressed her head onto his chest.  His heart banged like a drum as they walked to the bench, taking a seat overlooking the pond.

“That was a nice dinner.”  Miyuki said as she moved her hand away when her eyes caught something across the pond.

“It sure was…  Who is that?”  Sai asked narrowing his eyes toward the figure.

Sai remembered the guy’s words as it came closer and then groups of people came from the two sides as the figure came to the edge of the pond.  Sai stood up as the dark figure was a scruffy male with a jacket over his body.  The glare from his hand made the group took a step back from the figure as it pointed towards Miyuki.

“Remember me?”

“Miyuki, who is this?”  Sai asked as the woman rolled up her hand into a fist.

“I’m not scared.  Everyone is behind me and you were the person who I hated because of mother.”  She yelled as they saw the guy smiled.

“Milky has courage…  The day when you felt the pain of a real man, you whimpered until the police interfered.”  He provoked the feelings as the group was about to charge when Milky had felt his hand block away Miyuki.

“I don’t know what you have against her but she isn’t that anymore.”  Sai announced as the group took their collective step back.

“A slut is always a slut.”  He scoffed as he lunged toward Sai missing him a few centimeters to the right.

Sai watched his movements closely as he dodged the attacks while Miyuki stood frozen.  The group pulled her away as she caught the glimpse before they headed into the shadow.  The man was quick but not accurate with his attacks and Sai lowered his head, tackling him onto the pavement.  The knife flew away as Sai threw down two blows to his midsection.  He didn’t reach out for the weapon when he launched his elbow into the cheek as he rolled him onto his back.  Sai felt the man’s weight locking him down as the man rained down punches onto his face while keeping a guard before leaping over to the knife.

“No one will protect her because she’s useless.”  He smiled as Sai closed his eyes.

“Only an evil man would call his daughter hopeless.”  Sai gritted his teeth when the swipe of the knife threw him to the ground and the sight of red filled his eyes.

Sai was quite enraged by his mistake of charging but it only brought the adrenaline throughout his body when the man attacked him another time but Sai caught his wrist, disarming him with a punch to the jaw.  The knife slid away from them as he laid down the haymakers from above like god as he managed to connect everyone before he couldn’t hear the breaths escaping from his mouth.  Sai rolled onto his back as the members came to see him as the slit on his right arms was bleeding profusely.

“Son, we’ll get you to the hospital.”  He heard one said as the rest watched over him.

Another one announced the man had no pulse as they cheered for a bit before Miyuki fell to her knees.  Sai could see the swelling of tears coming from her eyes as she pressed his forehead against hers.  Miyuki murmured the prayer before the worker came and pushed her away as they wrapped the wound.  Miyuki watched him being escorted to the ambulance as the police officer came and hugged her.

“I’m sorry for your friend being hurt in this situation.”  He said.  “Let’s go to the hospital, my niece.”

Yes, it was but never stated his identity to not tip off Sai.  As for now, she is safe but this chapter will give you more insight on the Miyuki/Milky situation

The father... well that could bring some interest with everyone

Chapter 18

Sai awoke to the pain in his arm as the peach colored discoloration showed where the burning blade had hit him.  He remembered that he saw the guy’s face with bruises before he passed out on the pavement.  Dressed in the blue gown, he lifted the bed with the button as he saw another older gentleman looking at the paper with his glasses toward the edge of his nose.  He turned to see Sai as he flipped the page.

“I heard you got cut yesterday.  Gangs?”  He spoke with the attitude that made Sai slightly ticked off.

“No, I saved my girlfriend from an attacker.”  He explained as the guy took off his glasses kneading his forehead.

“I’m sorry… It was rude to assume…”

“It is no problem… I would think people would see me and assume I was part of the gang but I just have that vibe.”  Sai finished as the man took a deep breath.

“I… would never understand my son and never will.”  He sighed as he returned to the newspaper when Sai saw Yuito walked into the room.

“How ya doing?”

“I’m fine.  A little pain.  But fine.”

Yuito took a seat next to his bed as Sai looked outside the room to just see the workers walking around but noticeably no Miyuki to greet him as he turned back to Yuito.  He saw his roommate put his hands behind his head as he glanced up at the ceiling with his eyes wandering around before lowering it to see Sai staring at him.

“I would wonder too where she is though…”  Yuito pondered as he began to see what the situation would be and then a husky man came in with a cap and showed his badge towards Sai.

“Yamamoto Sai, we are putting you under arrest for suspicion of attempted murder.”  He stated as the metal cuffs locked him to his bed.  The man glared at the officer as Yuito gave him the same glare to him before he turned and walked out of the room.   The older man shook his head before turning back to his newspaper.

Yuito held his mouth open when Sai waved to the man that had entered the room as he tipped his hat to him.  “I’m sorry it had to happen.  Miyuki had been troubled by the situation and headed to her mother’s location.  She gave me permission to say the story about her.  Miyuki is actually regretting not mentioning to you either so if you want to hear about it.  I’ll let you out of the cuffs.”  The officer bowed to him after his explanation although he desperately wanted to see Miyuki.

“Yuito, I think you should leave us be.”  Sai suggested as Yuito nodded his head leaving the room with the officer releasing the cuffs from the bed and then applying it to both of his wrists.

The officer took him to the meeting room for usually where doctors and patients’ family would discuss plans and the room was frigid to Sai as he took his seat across of the man.  The man poured both cups and gave one to Sai as he assisted him with drinking the water before the man took his seat.  Sai leaned in as he introduced himself as Miyuki’s uncle, the person’s brother in the matter.  He said that his brother had been a troubled person since he was young and luckily it wasn’t worst when their parents had passed in an accident.  Then, he repeated the situation with Miyuki and her parents before her mother had escaped the situation and why Miyuki had gone into the business.  Sai’s heart dropped into his stomach as the men around them were probably her customers at one point in another but knew Miyuki and her father wasn’t on good terms.

It dropped further when he explained the forced execution of his niece’s life.  Sai closed his eyes bit down on his lip as he dropped his fists onto the table.  He wasn’t sure why but he did it for her and now the story had taken its turn as her uncle had explained everything.

“So… she lied because her past would have determined my choices?”  Sai posed the questions as the man took a deep breath.

“I don’t know… but the thing is you didn’t know the story and you came to protect her from harm’s way.  The scar is your way out of this but Miyuki didn’t testify in family court about the rape so it may be harder if her father doesn’t survive.”  He explained as Sai nodded.

“He can die in hell.”  Sai muttered as the man held a smirk.

“Surely, I rather have him rot.  He hasn’t been the same since our parents passed but the courts haven’t placed him into a ward because he hasn’t been diagnosed with anything.”  He explained when a smile came to his face.

“What is it?”

“I have an idea!  It may help both of us.  I need to call a friend.”  He took out his phone and dialed the number.

Sai watched his expressions closely as he quietly placed the phone done after quick call.  His smile turned into a stone like expression.  It was the poker face that hearing about the home run wasn’t a sure home run for him.  He looked up at the clock while both were moving their thumbs into circles when a man came to the door with a gray suit and thin frame glasses.  Sai stood when he came in as he froze and instantly dropped his head well below the man’s belt.

“Sai… what happened?”

“Uncle Seiichi… I was trying to save my girlfriend from her father.”  He explained when he grabbed the young male and gave him a hug.

“Tell me everything and I’ll do my best to get out of it.”  He smiled when the officer and Sai took their seats and told their stories.

After an hour, the stories were becoming melded into one as the lawyer had to decide how to approach after all the charges.  He assured them there will be a charge but even for attempted murder, it was an uphill battle unless the person was mentally unstable at the time.  The lawyer knew the battle would be messy at best but as an uncle he was glad that his nephew wasn’t injured seriously.  They walked out of the room when the arresting officer was by the door as Sai was taken away.

“What’s the update?”  The officer asked.

“The condition improved but we are taking the psych evaluation when he awakes fully from his nap.”  The nurse informed him before he followed the police to the car.

No he is under meds but the nurse was trying to say that the psychological evaluation has to be done when he is fully awake.  Other than that they can't prove that he was mentally unstable at the time of the incident.

Sai knows what he did and no sense make it difficult for everyone else although Miyuki's non-appearance really says something.

Chapter 19

Miyuki returned to the dorms as Kei sat in here staring at her before she opened her arms to let her roommate run to her.  Despite everything, she had heard the charges against Sai and ran back to the dorms fearing that seeing her would only bring the anger again and her uncle had confirmed to her that the past was going to come out regardless if she disagreed in keeping it a secret.  Miyuki kept close to Kei’s body as her roommate brushed her hair back as the door opened to the coordinator.

“There is an urgent message for Miyuki.”  Nana announced as she handed the paper over to Kei.

Miyuki wiped her eyes as she open the folded paper.  Her mouth was left ajar as she saw the message and grabbed her phone as there was no text message given to her.  She didn’t want to get her mother involved into everything but the one thing that she feared was her mother confronting the man again.

“How long ago was this?”  Miyuki asked, wiping her eyes again as she placed it onto the table.

“It was yesterday…  The office only forwarded to me just now.”  Nana explained as Miyuki grabbed her jacket from the closet.

“Where are you going?”  Kei asked as she grabbed her roommate’s shoulder.

“I got to head back to the hospital.  It is an emergency.”  She said before walking out of the room before jogging to the elevator.

Kei glanced at the coordinator as they followed her to the elevator before realizing they couldn’t catch her in time and ran down the stairs to the lobby.  Kei began to think about Miyuki for that brief moment and the one time she had visited them in the dorms.  She had the pink scrubs on as she had given Miyuki her birthday present.  Kei had remembered it because it was the necklace that was made of silver and how it sparkled made both of them surprised by the cost.

“Do you mind telling me the message?”  Kei breathed arriving at the lobby as Miyuki was heading toward the door.

“Her mother was being transferred.”  Nana exhaled.

“I see…”  Kei thought as it finally clicked.  “Damn it!  We need to get there quick.”

Miyuki jumped onto the shuttle to take her down to the hospital.  Sundays were more for personal transportation and given her situation, she said her destination before the bus pulled out of the terminal.  She sat there thinking about her mother and if she would see him in his state.  Miyuki thought that she probably didn’t hear of the situation and walking into the live minefield of emotions couldn’t help her with the anxiety of the actions against her father.  She began to wonder what would happen if she did see him.  It wasn’t anything new to her but she kept a good front about the situation when it came to the job and would do the same.

“Hospital!  Next stop!”  The bus driver called as she looked outside to see the flux of nurses going in and out of the hospital.

Miyuki got off the bus stop and saw the woman walking out with a wide smile.  She stood across the street as the woman walked away from the hospital as she tracked her to the crosswalk.  Miyuki crossed as she caught the glimpse of her daughter walking towards her.  She saw the hazel eyes and curled her lips as her mother grabbed her wrist and walked away from the building.

“He should be dead by now.”  She said as her teeth showed to her daughter as Miyuki felt the silence in the statement.

“What did you do?  Please don’t tell me…”  Miyuki fell into her mother’s arms letting out the frustrations when she lifted her head up.

“I… saw the opportunity.  However, it wasn’t done by me.”  She sighed.  “I would have but somehow the nurses were confused on the shift change that I heard a code red when it was him.  The doctors ran in as I watched from the outside.  I knew it was a mistake by the nurse but I didn’t correct her because the doctor said so and I had walked away when I heard the flat line.”

“So… that means…”  Miyuki wiped her sore eyes.  “He may be released?”

“Who?”

“My friend had saved me from him by disarming and injuring him.”  Miyuki explained.

“I see…  That’s how he got into the hospital.”  She thought as Miyuki ran toward the police station before her mother grabbed her again.  “Let the police take care this.”

Miyuki took a seat on the bench with her mother as the brisk breeze blew by them.  Since the incident, Miyuki wasn’t as social to her mother as she would be with others.  She felt pity over the situation as her mother blamed herself for not being there when she went through the trouble of selling her body.  Her mother knew she had a gift to entertain people but she knew about the situation as she had the friend who was a hostess take her in when she was hiding from her husband.  The friend saw how she could talk to men and make her swoon over her but being the naïve child, Miyuki was taken advantage.

The men ranged from their 40’s to the early 60’s as the alcohol came while she would take coke and a bit of whiskey to tickle her senses.  The policy stood strict as the guards had made their way around the tables.  She was never in any harm but the men had asked for her by name.  Milky became the moniker as she was sweet and her voice was soothing like milk.  Milky hadn’t asked for the sex but she had thought it would be a good way to make conversation and the first was a politician.

He was polite and questioned everything about her when they were together.  Milky felt the myriad of emotions as she had her cherry popped.  The heaviness of the moment made it hard to enjoy her freedom as it was quick.  The politician wasn’t suited for her lack of experience as gave out early but the next few were more resistant to her body.  After everything, she had gain notoriety as the best hostess but with the asterisk because the sex was outlawed.

The owners didn’t know she was taking them back until she was caught with her lips around the man’s junk.  She was immediately booted and her friend had reported to her mother.  She didn’t have the talk until a few days later when she finally made the opportunity to open up about how she was treated as school because of her experience.  Then, her mother had given her the lecture about that as she wasn’t as popular but she was still attractive to her father.  Miyuki understood her mother and didn’t allow going through the pain until his drunken-filled rage had opened up the worst moment in her life.

“Miyuki… I want you to know that… it is alright to be true to him.”  She whispered as the girl nodded.

“I know… Thanks mom.”

Her mother went to the hospital where her husband was staying when everything unraveled.

Chapter 20

The news of Miyuki father’s death came to the police station quickly as Sai sat in the cold room with his uncle representing him with the arresting officer staring at both of them.  Sai had kept quiet as the lawyer took all the questions.  It wasn’t great but his lips broke into a curl when the news of her father’s death came to light.  The officer pounded his fists onto the table in disbelief.

“Excuse me for a moment.”  The man said as he exited with his balding spot growing a few centimeters as his uncle gave a nudge on the shoulder.

“He can release you right now and throw out the charges as long as it was hospital error.”  He explained to the pointed ears of Sai.  “No one would exactly kill him so the error is our trump card.”

Sai grabbed the pitcher of water from the table and poured a cup for him and his uncle as they waited.  He imagined the eyes that were boring into him as the suspect and potentially the cause of his injuries but he knew it couldn’t be major if they were updated.  However, the chill in the room brought up his hair on his arms and neck as the metal table only sapped the heat from his body.

Sai placed his head down when the door flew open as the man came in heavy-footed and took his seat staring at the two.  His jaw straightened, ruffling through his sparse hair as a piece of paper was placed in front of them.

“I’m sorry for all of this…  In all my years, something this bizarre has never happened and we, the police, have decided to not pursue this case anymore.”  He stated as his thick hand extended front of the young man.  “I apologize as we have made this worse than what it should be.”

Sai felt the firm, bone-crushing grip of the officer as he gave a faint smile to the officer.  His lawyer signed off on the release as the man patted him on the back.

“As a man, I would have done the same thing.”  He commented giving him a wide smile as the lawyer escorted him out the other room where he had kept the change of clothes for him before they headed to the entranced refreshed from the experience.

“From here, the school may decide on your fate.”  He advised when he saw Miyuki standing on the bottom of the staircase.

The words were repeating in his head as he walked down and stopped halfway before turning back up to him.  “Can you give me a ride to the school?”

His uncle nodded as he walked toward the parking area holding his phone in hand as Miyuki ran up to him.  Sai experienced the warmth of her touch again but it wasn’t as warm as he wanted it to be.  The mixture of everything came into his mind as the car pulled up to fetch the two men.  Sai broke the embrace and followed his uncle into the car when another vehicle had pulled up beside her as he watched her until they finally passed her.

Sai kept his silence on his side of the seat as he rode by the scenery.  He felt saddened yet glad about the whole situation but something to him didn’t make any sense and it only seemed to add more intrigue to the relationship at hand.  The ride wasn’t long enough to make him wonder what they would decide but he saw a robust man at the curve where the bus would arrive.  Sai slid out his uncle’s way as the man extended his hand.

“I’m the representative for the school and we would like to talk to you about what had happened last night.”  He explained as Sai nodded toward him before following the man to the administration building.

The place was an empty, dark place on a Sunday afternoon.  He didn’t expect to be quiet as all the events seemed to be happening at once as he opened the door to the meeting rooms and flipped the light switch.  There was one table in the middle of the room with the shades down making it look darker than usual from the outside but the bright lights filled the space.

“Take a seat.”  He said pointing to the two men.  “Tell me what happened.”

Sai elaborated on the situation as the guy nodded keeping his eyes on the young man before the representative leaned back in his seat at awe of such things but the eyes kept Sai wondering if the decision had been made before he explained the situation.  He sat back in his as the representative came forward and glanced toward the table.

“From the best interest of the school… You don’t pose a threat to others but we need to follow protocol on the incident and you’ll be on suspension from school for the week.”  He recommended to the duo as both nodded to him.  “Your teachers will be notified on everything and they will compile all the assignments missed for you.”

“Thank you.”  Sai breathed when he grabbed his wrist.

“It won’t be anything permanent but just watch your surroundings at all times and if you see trouble please call security and explain the situation to them so it can be resolved quickly.”

Sai nodded before the two left the room.  His uncle returned to the car as Sai walked to the dorm where the lively sounds were all but quiet as he headed up to his room where he saw the three with a cooler talking when he came inside with stress marks from the past two days.  Sai glanced outside as his breathing became normalized for the first time in a while.  He kept quiet as they continued talking when he saw the bottle in front of him offered by Kuu.

“You had it rough, just take the soda.”  Kuu smiled as he popped it open and drank it down as the three continued to talk.

He wished that Miyuki had spoken to him about the past.  Then, he remembered his past wasn’t as beautiful as he would like it especially with certain hardships.  He remembered that she had to be set that way and maybe give that chance to let her be understood rather than be judged.

Here it is

Chapter 21

Monday came and went by as Miyuki wondered where Sai had gone.  She didn’t hear any answers from anyone and seemingly Kei had been occupied with Nana after her class.  Miyuki returned to dorm room as he began to glance at the phone screen as the messages were not being returned.  She had assumed one thing and it lingered like a snake staring at a mouse cornered.

It was over.

She had made his life a living hell for saving her and to repay him for something like that.  Miyuki had run away to not face the truth as her uncle had begged her to do earlier.  She grabbed the first thing she could grab and released her energy against it.  The filling had flew throughout the room when she had could leave her face in her hands.  Everything that she had said in start seemed to only come back with the one she had fallen for.

“Is someone in the room?”  The voice asked as Miyuki opened the door to the female.  “I’m Yuito’s girlfriend, Paru…  Yuito wanted to know if you were okay.”

Miyuki felt the tone in her voice and was ready to pounce at her but instead Miyuki had run the back of her hand over her eyes.  Desperation seemed to make her anxious as she nodded instead.

“I see.  If you don’t mind… can you meet him at the cafeteria now?”  Paru asked her as she nodded and followed Paru out of the door.

There was only one hope and it lied with Yuito.  She knew that there would be no convincing Sai if Yuito didn’t give the approval but maybe the door had shut for good.  The walk was nerves running through her body as every step seemed to make her feel weak inside.  The cool breeze brought out the hair from the back of her neck as they arrived at the empty cafeteria as Yuito had waved to them.  Her heart sank a bit only seeing Yuito but it seemed better to not see him.

“Thanks Paru.”

“Yuito-kun, where’s Sai?”  Miyuki asked as her chest tightened with the cold air freezing up her body.

“He’s been in his room looking over some photos.  He doesn’t feel right but it isn’t something that he could fight.”  Yuito explained with his hands clasped together.  “The thing is… I don’t blame you for not telling him.”

Miyuki’s brows shifted upwards.  When she had thought everybody would be against her, Yuito admitted his support to her.  She felt a bit better but the jury was out on her past with the few people.  Miyuki hadn’t thought about it but it seemed to spiral out of control.  She stared at Yuito for the brief moment as she had thought of Sai and the pain he had gone through to save her.

“Your secret was probably best to keep because he isn’t the type to judge but he would go with the flow but the other issue has been weighing on his mind.”  Yuito elaborated about his roommate after yesterday afternoon’s talk.  “He’s not sure if the relationship shall continue with the silence between the two.”

“What do you mean?!”  She shouted.  “What else does he want to know about that time?”

Yuito stood and placed his hands onto her shoulders as she gently went back into her seat.  “He likes you but he may decide to leave for good.  His parents had word of the situation and were willing to take his credits that he earns this semester and transferring to someplace else.”

Miyuki felt her heart drop into her stomach as she nodded when she had closed her eyes and placed her hand over her chest.  It was her way to stay calm in the situations and remembered that it wasn’t done yet but she wanted to know why Sai had felt that way.  Miyuki wanted to erase what she had done from before to get Sai back to normal.  She opened her eyes as Yuito grabbed her wrist.

“I think you should talk him out of it.”  He smiled as he led her back to the room where he sat there with the lamp on laying on his side with the two standing in front of him.

Sai glanced from his bed to see Miyuki before he could sit up as she sat next to him.  He watched Yuito leave the room, closing the door with the two in the room.  He felt her cold, slender hand grasping him while he gave that time to remember that night at the pond.  His heartbeat rose like crazy before he broke off the embrace.

“You never replied to my texts or my calls.”  She broke the silence as Sai glanced at his phone.

“I’ve been thinking that I should return home to work or transfer to another college as the suspension is a mark against me.  They didn’t mention that the mark could prevent me from graduating so I’m taking a precaution.”  Sai explained out the situation for him as Miyuki lowered her head.

“It isn’t fair that you got punished though…”

“Life isn’t fair.”  Sai chuckled.  “I never really reached my potential and let my music to push my life and if I did better…”

“It still isn’t fair.”  Miyuki leaned toward Sai digging her face into her shoulder.

Sai held her close letting her frustration go into him.  There were many things he had said that would have brought the anger out and decided to hold her up when he told her about his first time.  It was sudden but Miyuki nodded as he mentioned everything about that night and in the end, it was just the one night stand.  He saw her bit her lip when she lunged forward, straddling over his body.

“Didn’t you listen to my story?”  Sai narrowed his eyes.

“Yes!  The only thing is I need to repay you.”  Miyuki smiled at him when she cupped his face.  “You have permission to call me Milky.”

“Milky…  What’s the best thing you are good at?”  Sai smirked at her when she slid her hands under the shirt.

“I give great massages.”  She winked before continuing her action.

Sai watched her massage his chest when she fell onto her elbows.  Her smile grew as his arms gradually wrapped around her body when their forehead touched for the brief moment as their lips followed in moving in circles when the door opened breaking the tension between them.

“You guys seriously needed that.”  Yuito laughed before closing the door.
