Is she a Penny Arcade fan? The Penny Arcade Adventures have some RPG elements, but they're not really the focus and you can get both games really cheap when they go on sale on Steam.

Wait, Dirt 3 has rallying events like the old Colin McRae Rally racing games they made for the PS1/PS2? I am sold. Take my money Codemasters, you've done good.

Gonna see if I can pick this and LA Noire up on Monday. I've still got money on my Gamestop gift card to burn so I can put it towards that. It should ease my concern about paying full price for LA Noire especially, as I don't see much replay value in that game, thus I was a little concerned about paying full retail price for it.

Giant Bomb's Vinny 'Italian Stallion' Carravella. That Dirt 3 Quick Look was great, I'm totally sold on the game now.

You'd be right my friend! I didn't get DIRT 1 or 2 cause I don't think they had rally type events in them, DIRT 2 especially was billed as more 'xtreme' which kinda put me off it. But DIRT 3 totally has rally events as well as motorcross and the gymkhana events look really interesting and fun to play with. Add to that day/night stages, dynamic weather effects. Yeh, I'm in the mood for driving alright.

I've being going crazy with custom content for Sims 2. Hope my game doesn't crash.

I've started premium adventure mode in Yakuza 4. I'm focusing on side-stories, but I don't know if I should include the hostesses. They're too time consuming. Rio was the only worthy one.

So yeh, I went out and bought Dirt 3 today XD Actually got it for less than half price as I used my Gamestop gift card to go towards it, so that was pretty sweet. Only played a few races but the handling seems good, but will need to get used to it. Gymkhana's tougher than I thought it would be! Multiplayer party games are a lot of fun, it's the perfect excuse for people to crash into each other, that's what people did on GRID constantly. Even if it wasn't a Demolition Derby event  Think my time will be spent on the rally events and the like. You know, proper racing. And it looks gorgeous, so highly recommended. As I said, I hope to see a virtual representation of twissie in the crowd when I'm rallying in Norway XD

So with that Gamestop gift card I got Dirt 3 for less than half price and Vanquish completely free. I think it was spent well! :D

I've been thinking about getting back into playing fighting games competitively. I remember having a lot of fun going to tournaments, meeting cool people, and having good matches. Sometimes I think about the crappier aspects (Overly competitive people, too much shit talking, etc.) and I don't want to, but I'm sure I could have fun just ignoring that shit.

Nice one arun. What games are you specialising in then? Street Fighter or is it something else?

Never played the first few games in the series, but Bloodrayne Betrayal looks kinda neat at this stage, providing it lives up to it's promise of some kind of 2D HD Castlevania esque game

That Bloodrayne game looks interesting.

I'll probably go back to playing Guilty Gear, though I want to try to learn a new character. I played BlazBlue a few months ago with my friend who got me into GG. After that, I started thinking about playing again. I don't know what re-ignited it, but I've been thinking about it more recently. I just need to save up enough money to buy the games. Unfortunately, my arcade stick is broken.

I uploaded not only my first gaming video on Youtube, but my first ever vid! Such a shame then that the actual footage isn't impressive in the slightest  It's from the YouTube feature built into Dirt 3 where you can take a section of your replay (30 secs max) and upload it direct to your account on Youtube. Neat idea but kind of let down by the fact that you are only allowed 30 secs at a time and not entire replays unless you use an HD-PVR to record gameplay. Also, you have to wait in a queue before the feature kicks in and even then uploading is pretty slow. So here it is, all 10 secs of a sweet corner I took in a Rally Cross event in Aspen. Perhaps the most interesting thing about that clip is seeing my avatar hang from the car window

I like the idea of uploading more vids to Youtube though. Like Bayonetta runthroughs or something. But I'm not willing to fork out the cash for the decent equipment to record gameplay from my 360!

I completed Dead Space 2 last night. Awesome game, hugely impressive. The last 2 chapters or so was just a pain though, you can tell that they just keep throwing the enemies at you and it's more difficult considering you don't find health and ammo as frequently as the early chapters. I guess I shouldn't be complaining, ammo conservation and item scarcity should be part and parcel of a survival horror game. 9 hrs playthrough in total, which doesn't seem like a lot, but I'll definately try it again on the Zealot difficulty and try to upgrade weapons, try out for some achievements and the like. I'd like to try to beat Hardcore mode. God help me though cause I died plenty of times in my first playthrough XD

I finally got past Shin in the Challenge mode in Fist of the Nort Star : Ken's Rage. It was a freaking epic fight, I was finally on equal footing with him but then Shin out of nowhere landed this combo on me that I thought for sure was going to kill me. But it didn't, I had a sliver of health left and I came back to win it. So with Shin past I was ready to take on the next Nanto master. However, I was expecting to start with full health but instead, you carry whatever health you had in the previous fight with you. Rei killed me in one hit. So I have to make it past 5 boss characters, all buffed up to the extreme with only one health bar to see me through? The last bosses being either Thouzer or Raoh? There's no chance I can ever do it. but I'll try!!

I promise I won't flood this topic with Dirt 3 videos, but I do want to share the latest one I uploaded cause I did this perfect drift around the corner in a rally event that gave me a semi erection :fap

What was cooler was that I was driving in the cockpit camera when I made that drift. Like a boss.

Ok this is awesome, I'm excited about this. The Witcher 2 is confirmed for the 360 and is out later this year.
