It was a long and tiring day at work, before finally going straight home to see my wife, Kashiwagi Yuki and my daughter, Sakura.
“How was work?”
“Eh? Same old, same old.”
Before I could hug Sakura, I got another call from my walkie talkie.
“Sorry Yukirin, got another crime to investigate.” I said to her before I walked out of the room and replied to my walkie talkie.
“This is Special Ops, what’s the situation?”
“It’s a 10-4, violent discussion.”“What’s the name of the 10-4?”
“Matsui Ren. Abusing his wife, Takayanagi Akane and their child.”“Me and Furukawa will be on our way. What’s the street?”
“15th Avenue on the east side of Nagoya.”
“Thanks. We’ll be there ASAP.”
I hurried outside to find my partner in crime, Furukawa Akiro at my doorstep.
“So, you got the call too?”
“You’re lucky I even consider you as my partner. You know that?”
“Of course I do. Now let’s go.”
We hopped into the SUV parked outside the driveway to make a hasty journey to Nagoya to see what’s happening to the innocent woman.
“So...”
“What?” I said, quite annoyed as I was handling the steering wheel at full speed, “Can’t you see I’m driving here?”
We were already on the motorway, I wasn’t wasting anytime.
“Take the exit and you’ll be right there. I know the place remember? I live here~”
“Thanks.”
I made a swift turn down the hill and saw the house as soon we came to the bottom. I parked right in front of the house and we both went out of the car.
*Bang* *Bang* *Bang*“Open up!!!!! This is the police!!!!!”
Nothing… We waited for a few minutes, before taking a last resort in the breaking the door down. We were running into the living room, to see a man with blood on his hands, his wife’s face was streaming with blood…
“O-Oka-san...”
“Don’t worry, little girl. We’ll help your mother~”
“Hey! What do you think you’re doing? For one you’re invading my home, two, you’re trying to help my daughter?!” the woman on the chair tried to shout.
“Miss, please calm down. We’re only here to help.”
Before I knew it, her husband suddenly tried to punch me. With my swift reflexes, I dodged it and punched him in the gut, where all the air was taken out.
“This… This is the last resort...” He then took out a knife and then pain consumed my upper arm.
“Furukawa! Need backup! Ugh~”
The man, by the name of Matsui Ren, rushed toward the door and before he knew it, Akiro was in front of him, also holding a knife.
“Oh **** I’m outta here!” He started running.
“I’ll go get him, look after the ladies over there.” I said.
“As I’ve told you before, though, Mayu. Stitches, need ‘em every time. Now go~”
“Right.” I ran straight through the open door seeing the suspect in the distance.
Ten minutes later, I was fed up and took a policeman’s baton and threw it at his legs, forcing him to go on the ground in pain.
“If you dare do that again, think of me~” I started punching him over and over again, emotions taking over. Having a wife and child myself, I know I shouldn’t do that. It was just evil.
I released him and he just dropped to the ground. But something even worse is about to happen….
