Yuki’s POV
My name is Yuki Kashiwagi. I have a habit of playing Minecraft… So much of a habit that I became a Youtuber, recording videos for the public and I honestly like reading comments, replying to them and getting likes. Sure, there are a few haters, but I just ignore them (especially since there are fans who will stand up for me :3).
But, because of this, there’s a teeny, tiny problem… I’ve become antisocial. I mean, I never really talked to anyone outside of Minecraft. So I never really have anyone to talk to, in real life. Since I’m so popular, I guess people have a hard time hanging ‘round with me and I’ve become isolated that way too.
This year’s my last year of high school. Many problems arise for me, from the otakus, to the fangirls and much more. A weird feeling tells me I have something surprising ahead of me. That is… LOVE!!!
Yes, that powerful four-letter word. L-O-V-E.
I first met her as I was panicky running to my favorite store to talk to people about new mods and updates to the PC version. I passed by a small store and saw a young girl, probably my age, taking care of her birds. It seemed weird to see a girl on her own, but maybe it’s just me.
I liked to be on my own, hence I why I thought it would’ve been weird to see others on their own.
But, then that night, something strange occurred. I had fallen asleep at my computer as I was playing, and I had a dream. The girl appeared in my dream, with a bird resting on her finger. She looked up at me with a smile.
“Yuki-kun~”
I woke up, my heart pounding. Never I have I felt something as intense as that.
“W-What was that? Who was she?”
Meanwhile…
Akane’s POV
I’ve been living in solitude. On my own, no-one to talk to. But the strangest thing happened today.
As I was looking after my birds, a young man about my age looked at me, causing eye contact. He was so handsome, with his raven black hair and pale ivory skin. He had deep, dark eyes, the kind you could get lost in staring into.
Who is he..?
After he suddenly left without saying a word, I tried to figure out who he was. Maybe he goes to my school… On that note, I kinda have to sleep.
That night, I had a dream. Something that was quite… heart-pounding. I saw him, at the roof of my school, and he was singing something to himself. Where have I heard that song? It seems so familiar…
Before I could see his face, I woke up, my alarm clock, along with Papitan both entering my ears.
“Ohayou, Papitan.”
He squawked at me, making me consider that as a reply.
“That was weird… I need to remember what that song he was singing is. Maybe if I find him, I’ll remember.”
He squawked again, another reply.
I stretched because I know I’m not going back to bed. I had a quick ten minute shower, before going out of the bathroom, refreshed and clean. I took my uniform that was hung on inside the cupboard and started putting it on.
As I was done, I walked downstairs and prepared breakfast. Since my parent are always out at work, I have to live on my own, lonelily.
I ate quickly and decided to go to school. There were girls left and right, talking about this Youtuber who apparently was coming here.
“Haven’t you heard? Kashiwagi-kun’s coming to this school!”
“I thought he was already studying here?”
“EH?!”
They continued gossiping and as they did, a blur sprinted past. Something’s not right here so I went to the roof of the school.
I heard the song again.
Manazashi sayonara ietara ii no ni kimi no namida~
“Eto...”
“E-Eh? I-It’s you again!”
“Y-Yeah...”
Wait…. He seems so familiar….

Akiro’s POV
Home. Somewhere I didn’t want to be. Not with my father, my drunk and abusive father, either beating me or my mom up. I can’t remember when he started, but when he did, he’d rape mom and then call me things like worthless…
But today was different. Mom made the first move this time.
“GET OUT OF MY LIFE!!!”
“Fine. I’m fed up with you, anyway...”
He left, never coming back… My mom broke down into tears, hugging me…
“It’s okay, Akkun. Everything’s okay now.”
“M-Mom...”
“Promise me you won’t tell anybody.”
“Mom…. Please don’t force this upon me!”
“Akkun, please...”
Reluctantly, I answered, “Wakatta...”
Mom’s started playing with younger men, leaving me alone in the house. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve cried myself to sleep. It’s the same thing every day. I don’t understand the meaning of life. I just wanna run away, and leave this world behind…
Just then, I heard music. I looked out my window and saw the house next door to mine. The window was open, and the curtain was pulled back, revealing a super cute girl, dancing and singing in her bedroom, in front of her mirror.

Characters:
Kashiwagi Yuki:
An 18 year old who cannot stop playing Minecraft. Being a Youtube personality, he can’t stop recording. But the downside to it is, it’s affecting his school-life, his lovelife and it makes him isolated from everyone and everything. Nothing can stop him from playing the game he’s grown to love. A certain girl has shown him love is much more important.
Takayanagi Akane:
An 18 year old girl who lives a simple life. Having four birds, she’s grown accustomed to the lifestyle she was living. The only problem to that is, she’s become socially distant to everyone in her homeroom class. Something or someone shows her that opening her shell means for more opportunities to shine.
Watanabe Miyuki:
A mischievous 17 year old who loves to play with Yuki’s mind. She’s fallen in love with him many times and has been recording with him more often. Her life seems to be pretty set on Yuki but once a new transfer student arrives in her homeroom class, she seems to have changed her ways.
Furukawa Akiro:
A cold hearted 18 year old transfer student, who, due to some past experiences, tries to build a high wall that makes him hard to talk to. His attitude towards life seems dim and dark hence why no-one seems to want to talk to him. A secret job makes it harder to talk to people. But, once a certain mischievous girl comes into his life, something inside him changes.
Watanabe Mayu:
A 17 year old who likes cartoons and anime. She spends time like Akane, alone so she’s accustomed to hiding in the shadows, oblivious of anything. Sometimes, she feels lonely and wants someone to talk to. But, her wish was instantly granted as a mysterious student makes her heart beat faster than she ever wished it could.
Matsui Ren:
An 18 year old otaku who loves anime and lolis. Although quiet towards other people, he becomes another person when he’s alone or with other otaku in Akihabara. Mayu, his underclassman, discovered his secret after they encountered each other in a maid cafe. Since then, the two became closer and Ren started to notice he started having an attraction towards a certain anime otaku for the first time in his life.

Ren’s POV
“Ah, it’s Matsui-kun...”
“He’s so dark. Nothing compared to his younger sister...”
“I’m surprised their related. How can Jurina put up with such a dull brother?”
“Ren-kun~~~” Speak of the devil… “How are you?”
I shrug.
“C’mon, Ren-kun~. Talk to your lil’ sis~~~”
She leaned closer and whispered in my ear.
“I found something you may like~”
Eh? Maji?! She found it?!
“Meet me on the roof,” I said silently before getting up.
“Yay~!”
We both went up to the roof and she opened up her bag.
“Here!” She handed me a limited edition Sebastian figure.
“Uwaa~ Sebastian-sama~~~”
“Ren-kun, you really are a girl.”
“Thank you SOOOOO much, Jurina! I promise I’ll make it up to you.”
“Really?”
“Yes!”
“Hm...” She has that sly cat grin on her face. “Jyaa~ Take me to that maid cafe in Akihabara for dinner!”
“W-wakatta! I’ll pay for everything! My treat!”
“Thanx, bro~”
This was my secret. One that only my sister knew. I’m an otaku, especially when it comes to yaoi, or BL (Boys’ Love). If women who like it are called “fujoshi”, then I must be a “fudanshi”. Jurina came up with that pun herself.
Jurina herself is an otaku, too, but unlike me, she loves yuri, Girls’ Love. I admit I have a guilty pleasure to it as well, stuff like Madoka Magica and Love Plus, but I go crazy when two ikemen characters are thrown together in a crazy love story.
Haa~ This must be why she always calls me a girl.
“Alright, I gotta go to class. Yoroshiku, nii-chan~~~”
“Hai~”
I walked back down to my classroom and walked passed the manga clubroom. I saw someone by herself, drawing on a sheet of paper with a serious look in her eyes.
“Ah, it’s Watanabe...”
“Hm?” She suddenly looked up and saw me. “Ren-kun?”
I quickly turned my gaze from her and walked off.
I can’t do it. I can’t let anyone know, that this was what I’m really like.
“KYAAAAAA!!! Zess-sama, kakkoii~~~ ‘I will not betray you.’ I want that to be said to me someday, no matter the gender!”
There’s NO way I could live myself down if someone found out my true nature…
Later that night…
“Jurina, where are we going?”
“Trust me, you’ll love it.”
“But...”
She said we were going to a maid cafe. But I don’t remember any kind of maid cafe in this part of Akihabara.
“We’re here~” I looked up at the sign of the cafe.
Uso?! A BL cafe?!?!?!
“Let’s go, Ren-kun~”
Jurina dragged me in as we got our seats and read through the menus.
“Jurina… why you bring me to a place like this?”
“Because you’re a yaoi otaku.”
“Well, yeah, but...”
“Plus, watch this.”
She called one of the waiters and ordered two omelette rice and an order of something called “Mousou Coupling Pocky”.
As we ate our food, Jurina decided to share her omelette rice with the two boys who were serving us. One of them cutely smiled at the other and fed him the rice.
OMG That is so kawaii~~~
“Wait for it~” Jurina whispered to me.
Then one of the boys took the pocky and they both….
KYAAAAAAAAA!!! Pocky KISS~~~ This place is Heaven on Earth!!!!!!!!!!
“Ren-kun?”
I froze when I heard a familiar voice call my name. I turned my head and saw Watanabe Mayu, staring at me with her cheeks blushed a bit.
“W-WATANABE?!?!?!”
“So… you like these kinds of places, huh?”
“OH GOD!!!” I got up and pushed her back a bit. “Watanabe, you cannot tell anyone at school about this!”
“I wasn’t going to in the first place.”
“Eh? Why?”
“One mustn’t tell her motives~”
Wha-? What is with this girl? There’s more to her than I know…
Watanabe Mayu, who are you?

As dawn broke, many teenagers are getting ready for a hard day of studying, being social and many more things. Some people aren’t going to enjoy it, others on the other hand are ecstatic.
For example, avid Minecraft player and Youtube star, Kashiwagi Yuki, already had his hands trembling as he looked around, panicked at all the people in the school.
“So many dimensions...”
“You don’t get out much, do you, Yuki-kun?”
“GYAH!!!” He stepped back as a young girl smiled at him. “Who are you?”
“Don’t tell me you don’t recognize my cute face~~~”
“Wait, that voice...”
“No way. Warukii?!”
“Pin pon~ That’s correct!”
“Ugh, I swear I need to get out more...”
“Don’t worry, Yuki-kun. We only talk on Minecraft anyways.”
“Yeah, but I should’ve known. An idol like Watanabe Miyuki, and I forgot her, I feel ashamed...” Yuki sunk to his knees.
“Now, now, don’t cry for Milky~” she said, patting his head.
Now, students around them stared at the two intently, wondering what is happening in front of them.
“Wait, isn’t that Kashiwagi Yuki? That really popular Youtuber?”
“Eh? Is it really him?”
“I swear he hangs out with Watanabe-san and many other really popular Youtubers like AntVenom and JeromeASF!”

The girl took her friend, got out her phone and played a video. You can hear some dialogue between two people.
“Hey guys, it’s Yuki or HighRoller1507 here, with JeromeASF, with another Hunger Games!”
“Yeah! I'm here with this lovely gentlemen to bash some skulls!”
Yuki was now sweating buckets, he didn’t want to stick out like a sore thumb.
“What now? I have to be incognito!”
So, to hide his anxiety, he rushed to his homeroom class with Miyuki going the opposite direction.
“Ugh, first day back in a long time and this happens….”
“Ah! You!”
“E-Eh?! H-Hontoni gomen!”
“Y-You inconsiderate jerk. Not looking where you’re going.”
“I said I was sorry, isn’t that enough? Before you leave, give me your name, I won’t forget this!”
“Hmph, it’s Takayanagi Akane. I won’t forget this either, Kashiwagi-kun.”
“Why? Why is it this way?”
Then, a depressed looking guy walked past, hunched-back. Yuki felt a little bit of sympathy for the guy. With his parents away for business all the time, he felt lonely and no-one was at home to look after him.
“Please, just let me go to a computer room.. I know they have Minecraft… Come on….”
His anxiety was showing, sweat was visible, his breathing became higher and his heart was pounding. Nothing could stop him from doing what was going to happen…
*Bang!*

As Yuki fell onto the floor, someone happened to walk by, seeing him. They called for assistance, and everyone crowded around.
“Is that… Kashiwagi-kun?”
“I guess it is. Maybe he has high anxiety problems~”
“Really?”
“Yeah, I wouldn’t worry. He always gets like this when he’s away from his keyboard for too long.”
“Ah...”
“Wait, that voice...”
He opened his eyes and saw the cute fisher idol, Watanabe Miyuki, smiling at him and staring intensely at him. He was somewhere he didn’t know.
“H-How long was I gone, Miyuki?”
“Not that long, 20 minutes to half an hour. You were unresponsive so I took you to the infirmary.”
“Oh, okay. Thanks, was it you who found me?”
“Funny enough, no. That was--” Miyuki was cut off by the sound of an unknown person who walked through the infirmary door.
“Me. I’m Furukawa Akiro, nice to meet you, Kashiwagi-kun.”
“Same to you, Furukawa-kun.”
They greeted each other before Akiro left, leaving Miyuki and Yuki by themselves.
“Well… That was surprising.”
“He looked like the same guy who looked at me last night…. Well, I have to get to class now.”
“Why do weird things happen?”
Meanwhile….
As Miyuki walked to class, she noticed someone outside the teacher’s office.
“Ah, Furukawa-kun. We just need someone to take you to your homeroom class.”
“Eh? Is he a transfer student?”

“Ren-kun~~~” Jurina called to her older brother as she opened the door to his classroom. “Let’s eat lunch together~”
“Hai hai...” Ren took his bento and went up to the roof with Jurina. They both sat down and smiled at each other before opening their lunch boxes together.
“Kyaaa! Kawaii~ It’s Haru-chan!”
“Uwaa~ amazing. They got every detail on Ciel-sama perfectly~”
“She/He is so cute, I don’t wanna eat her/him!!!” They were both freaking out over their character-rice, they didn’t notice a certain pigtailed girl was behind them.
“So, you’re both gay?”
They looked behind and saw Mayu there.
“GAH! Watanabe!!!”
“Hi Mayuyu~~~”
“Jurina, do you really like Akuma no Riddle, or are you gay like Ren?”
“Ah, I’m not gay!” Ren retorted back.
“Oh, really?”
“Maybe if I like it, doesn’t mean I’m gay!”
“Oh my god… Here we go again...”
“A hobby is a hobby and no matter how weird the hobby is, you can’t insult it. Even if you do, that person will still carry on.”
“Okay, okay. Sorry.” Then the old iron door opened, revealing three figures.

They looked behind and saw Mayu there.
Mayu just appeared out of nowhere, and for both siblings to not notice her she sure has some stealth :mon lol:
Oh~ Who could be the three people that showed up? Will Ren's secret be revealed to more people? :dunno:
Chapter 5 :
Ah, Yuki passing out when away from his keyboard. That's going to be troubling a bit, but I hope he won't have anxiety soon :mon sweat:
Eh, so Akiro is a new student? I hope he has the same homeroom as Milky. :mon misch:
Hm, I wonder who will show him around? :hehehe:

Third Person POV
“Umm, are we disturbing anything important?” Miyuki said as she giggled shyly.
“M-Miyuki-oneechan?!”
“Onee-chan?!” Everyone reacted at the same time.
“Milky is your sister, Mayu?”
“Un. You didn’t tell them, nee-chan?”
“Eto...”
“Eh? Y-You can’t happen to be-”
“If your asking if I’m that Youtuber, then yes I am.” Yuki answered the shorter otaku girl.
“Oneechan… You really record with him?”
“Yep.”
“I’m just gonna leave now… I have no point in being here.”
“Akiro-kun, please stay?”
Milky gave her innocent puppy eyes to Akiro and fished him back in. His left eye seemed to twitch in delight as he stayed put next to the fisher.
“Well then… I propose something. How about we all go bowling tonight to get to know each other well?”
“Bowling? Why not laser tag?”
“I hate laser tag. You can’t really talk to other people.”
After that, the door opened once more. Takayanagi Akane walked into the scene, wondering what is going on.
“This isn’t what I anticipated, you know, Ren.”
“Hehe, gomen, Churi~”
“Wanna go bowling tonight?”
“Mm… I guess. Why not?”
“Okay. Now everyone meet xxx at 7? Miyuki make sure you get Akiro~” Yuki said as he winked at his recording partner, “Now, let’s eat lunch, I’m starving.”
As they ate lunch, there were multiple times anyone tried to bring up a conversation. From Miyuki asking Akiro about his past to the latter talking about Yuki’s anxiety problems.
There were replies like: “I don’t really want to talk about right now.” to “N-No, why would I have such problems?”.
It was tense and awkward. Even sometimes, Miyuki will go the extra mile just to see Akiro blush. Something tells her, he has had a rough childhood and she wants to make him happy....

Ah, I never expected for Mayu and Milky to be sisters :mon lol:
Milky gave her innocent puppy eyes to Akiro and fished him back in.
There was no way for Akiro to escape Milky after those puppy eyes. Who could resist :mon sweat:
Aw, that ending Milky is so sweet :nya:
I wonder what will happen when everyone goes bowling? :hehehe:

At 7…
As Akiro walked through the streets, he heard shrieks of panic and dismay. He rushed towards the source of the screaming and found an alleyway.
“M-Miyuki?!”
He saw her, surrounded by a group of men. Her shirt was half buttoned, revealing only her bra.
“P-Please, spare me?”
“Nah, pretty girls like you don’t escape.”
“Hey! You shouldn’t treat girls like that!” I screamed.
“Hey, what was that, bastard?” One of them approached me, then I gave him a swift kick in the b*lls. “GAH!!! ****!!!”
“That’s what you get for trying to rape my girlfriend!”
“Akiro-kun...”
“You wanna piece of us, you brat?!”
“No problem, I’ll kick all your asses.”
After his statement, he made a charge toward them.
“Oh, you think you could just charge at us like that?” The same guy who he kicked, punched him straight in the face, making Akiro flinch, before restraining his arms.
“M-Miyuki, go! Tell them I can’t come! Ugh~” He was just continuously being punched and kicked.
She just wanted it to stop. The pain he was suffering not only physically but mentally too. She knew everything behind the dark facade he was trying to play, she wanted him to warm up.
Akiro’s thought process was repeating itself.
“Why? Why did I say she was my girlfriend! You idiot! She won’t talk to you again!”
Meanwhile with Miyuki….
“OMG! Did he actually just say that I--? Really?”
She was running, as fast as she could, as far as she could. She quickly took out her phone and called Yuki and the others to tell them the news.
“Miyuki? What’s taking you so long?”
“Long story, just come and help Akiro.”
“On it.”
“Thanks, Yuki-kun.”
“No problem, Miyuki.”
“Akiro-kun…” Miyuki held her hands tightly. “Please be okay...”

Hours later...
As Akiro woke up, Miyuki was staring at him intently.
“Akiro-kun!”
“M-Miyuki… Are you alright?”
“Baka! You should think about yourself before you think about others!” Tears were welling up in her eyes, even Yuki was tensed up.
“Miyuki’s right dude. You should think about yourself. You nearly died of bloodloss!”
“H-Honto?”
“Un. It’s a miracle you’re alive.”
“Yaba… I’m so sorry, guys...”
“It’s alright. The good thing is your safe and that’s what counts.”
“Mayu’s right. Anyway, I need to record and/or stream How To Minecraft tonight, Miyuki you gonna record with me?”
“Sorry, Yuki. I just don’t feel like it after what just happened….”
“Ah, sou?”
“Un...”
“Wait, you said it was a long story, tell me!”
“I just don’t want to talk about it...”
“If you wanna talk to someone about it, just trust me~”
“I-I can’t… I’m useless...”

“Why? Why did I say she was my girlfriend! You idiot! She won’t talk to you again!”
Akiro~ :hehehe: Its like you nearly confessed to Milky :mon lol:. But thankfully he came and saved Milky, and that he is fine now :mon sweat:
Ah, Milky's starting to feel useless. I hope Akiro or one of her friends can change that though of hers. :mon determined:

“But… I-I….”
“You are not useless, Miyuki. You’re perfect.”
“I can’t even save myself!” She ran away.
“Miyuki!” Akiro stood up, grimacing in pain, running after her.
As he did, Yuki just stood there, wondering how he got caught up in this un-unravelable web of problems.
“Well, off to stream How to Minecraft then!” He thought, walking away. In the process, he found Akane walking towards him.
“T-T-Takayanagi-san!”

“Ren-kun~~~” Jurina ran down the hall and tackled her brother happily, making them fall to the ground.
“Oi, oi, what’s wrong, Jurina?”
“Have you heard? Furukawa-kun and Miyuki-chan are dating now!”
“Where did you get that from?”
“For one, some girls in my class were talking about it. Two, I saw them holding hands!”
“Eh?”
As he was listening to Jurina, from his peripheral vision he could see Yuki sneaking into a computer room. Little did he know, Akane was behind him the whole time.
“What is Yuki up to? He might want to join the Gaming Society… If he can’t take the pressure...”
“Nii-chan~ Nani sore?”
“Eh? I’ll talk to you later, I need to get going~” He ran towards the room, sneakily following the two at the same time.
“To craft a piston you just need to put three wood planks on the top, one iron ingot in the middle, one redstone dust below the iron ingot and the other 4 slots you put cobble. There! And to make a sticky piston just put a slimeball on top.”
“Ah, arigatou.”
It was all he heard before he was tapped on the shoulder by Akiro.
“What you doin’, Matsui? Miyuki’s sister want’s to see ya’.”
“I heard you two hitched up~”
“Where’d ya’ hear that from?”
“My sister knows all~”
“Wow.”
“I know. She’s like a ninja in a way.”
“Hm… that’d be a funny image. Haha!”
“Matsui-kun~” They both looked behind and saw a certain cyborg staring at them.
“Watanabe?”
Ren froze up a bit.
“Can I talk to you, Matsui-kun? Alone?”
Ren’s body jumped a bit.
“Uh… y-yes.”
They both walked up to the roof, where they could be alone.
“What is it?”
“How do you see the world?”
“Eh?”
“I want to know… from your point of view.”
“Well...” He thought it through for a few seconds before replying, “The way I see things, I always felt like no-one cares about the wars and conflict. I never talked to anyone because I never wanted anyone to know what I feel on the inside.”
“I see…”
“Why do you ask?”
“Oh. Well, that’s because...” She took a deep breath before continuing to speak, “I never spoke to anyone. My perception of life is darker than you think.”
“Eh? Mayu, what are you saying?” It wasn’t Ren saying it but instead it was Akiro, holding hands with Miyuki, “Because, I understand how you feel.”
“Why?.... Something feels comforting in the words he’s saying….”
“Not a lot of people can understand… who I am, what I’m like. So, I shut myself away.”
“You run away from the world… Escape reality...”
“Because...”
“No one understands,” both of them said.
“Everything seems complicated. No-one knows how to think before they act.”
“We say the wrong thing. We make mistakes. But there are people who just...”
“Don’t forgive you.”
“No matter what…No matter how much you try and apologize...”

Ren’s POV
Just then, I heard something. The sound of someone crying. As I turned around, I saw Watanabe crying, showing tears of despair.
“Watanabe…”
“I… ” She spoke softly into my ear, “I didn’t want this to happen….”
“It’s okay, no one expected this.” I hugged her, suddenly feeling things I never have before, “No one expects anything… No one does...”
“Arigatou, Matsui-kun...”
“Call me Ren. And I’ll call you Mayu from now on, okay?”
“Okay… Ren-kun.”
Jurina’s POV-
I saw Nii-chan comforting Mayuyu. It was nice to see, honestly. From the corner of my eye, I saw Akiro-kun. He seemed suspicious….
“Akiro-kun~~~” Ah, there’s Milky. What’s going on here? I know they’re dating and all but still….
“Ah, Milky~”
“Chu!”
Uso?! She kissed him!
OMG, his face is so red! That’s so cute, almost as cute as my brother when he fell asleep hugging his plush Ciel and Sebastian. Kawaii~ Even when he drools, it’s so cute!
“Let’s have a date tonight!”
“Eh? Gomen~ I have something to do tonight.”
“Eh~ Nani?”
“Come and meet me at xxx at 7, it’s near our houses.” Gah, I can’t read his lips.
“Okay~ Jyaa, bye bye~” She walked off, leaving him on his own.
“See ya’~”
I took the initiative to walk to him and ask him, “Hey, Akiro-kun.”
“Hey, Jurina~ ‘Sup?”
“Can you tell me what you’re doing with Milky tonight?”

“I’m just curious.You can tell me right?”
