So who else has recently started liking Ayaka more :o Just me?? I think it started around when I watched the Elders Club concert, or maybe even before. I noticed I always liked seeing her around, then I started looking forward to seeing her when I knew she'd be in some concert, event etc. Now I like her more than I ever did before. And if I didn't find her sexy before, I surely do now after seeing her and Mai perform the Elegies song. :D

I suspect that she, like Yuko, probably does a ton behind the scenes in terms of mentoring and supporting the younger members.

despite her lack of things to do, ayaka still pulls down a nice pay-cheque, so im sure shes not too bummed. also, she's the only non-kid in h!p going to school :lol:
 
i've always loved ayaka so yeah, id like to see her do more. her and satoda mai are going to be part of that new unit when country disbands, so hopefully shell get more exposure! and their perf of the elegies song was too fucking hot :ksad:

yeah, im pretty sure that it was confirmed, though i dont have sources in my back pocket or anything.

honestly, they need to bring back her english lessons. put em as a regular part of haromoni, do like 3 or 4 per episode... and attack ALL of h!p, not just momusu!! it will be GRANDE!!!

But the truth is I still think Ayaka is hot and one of my favorite members of H!P. I owe much of my appreciation of H!P and J-Pop today to this sexy girl! :heart:

Its a real shame we get so little of Ayaka Kimura whenever we do get to see her she is always really good but never gets any material it would seem. Also seems abit odd to me how she is still considered to be part of the group Coconut Musume when she is the only member. Guess that makes her unique the only solo "group"

One of my favourite English lessons with Yossi involved was when she had to learn "When Pigs Fly" and they did an improv scene of an example :D. Or when Ayaka asked "What is your favourite Japanese word?" and Yossi said "Tokyo!", followed by "I Love You!" :heart:

At least he wasn't on crack like the keyboard player for Takahashi's "Cha Cha Cha" performance.  Love the song, I think it's one of Ai-chan's best vocal performances ever, but all I see in my head when I hear it is that goofball holding that furry hat over his head while the keyboard apparently plays itself...  XD

Maybe we shouldn't blame tsunku for ayaka's presence being so flitting. Perhaps she's just too busy oozing sexuality to have much energy left for tv appearances, singing, photography, or anything else.

But if anything, what has happened with satoda mai makes the rareness of ayaka sightings that much more frustrating. For ages I had my eyes on mai in country musume when few others seemed to notice her and figured that it was the last we'd see of her when the other two left the group. But now she's everywhere! Wish that could happen with ayaka too.

I agree with Reina's Eyes. I'd like Ayaka to recieve the same sort of popularity as Mai, if only for, shall I say, insurance. It wasn't long ago that we heard a rumour that Ayaka was graduating, and to have her single-less for sometime is always worrying for fans. Obviously we want to see Ayaka getting all the success she earns. And obviously, greater popularity means stability and possibility of more songs, more PB's, more videos, and overall pimpage of our favourite English teacher!

Had to come at some point. I guess she could only go on for so long in H!P. She was pretty much given the cold shoulder with only a few appearances here or there. And even though she didn't have many recently, I will miss those official photos of my favourite girl.

When I heard the news yesterday it came as a surprise.  This came out of the blue didn't it?  It wasn't announced beforehand like other graduations.

Oh well, she was underused in H!P anyway.  After Mika left, Ayaka still had the "Coconuts Musume" title tagged onto her name like some anchor weighing her down and she was never given anything much to do.

Here's a taste of what she was capable of, at a small fan club/dinner show type of show.  Hopefully she'll keep on singing and we'll still hear her somewhere.

Well. Umm, as much as I like Ayaka, am I really the only one that thinks she looks a little old in that profile picture? It's like they were trying to make her look older than she actually is.

I don't know if it was a good idea to change her name, but I don't mind it. I just think that since the fans she already has know her as Kimura Ayaka, it would have been better to leave her name the way it was. Maybe she just wants a fresh start, though, to leave her image as an idol behind.

But I really hope that she is successful in accomplishing her dream to be an actress. She has so much charisma and that will help her a lot, I think. :)

Since Ayaka's name has changed from Kimura to Nagate, I changed the topic to just 'The Ayaka Thread' instead of using 'Nagate Ayaka'... (The tread used to be 'Kimura Ayaka')

OH MY GOD Ayaka's in England with her husband right now for the British Open. I'm in England! I'm probably like three hours drive away from her. This is the closest I'll ever be to an H!P girl (which she'll always be in my heart). Haha.

This is the first time I will be so enthusiastic to watch the British Open. My Dad will be very surprised. :D

Wow he came 5th in 2006, that's pretty impressive. And I like the phrase 'goddess of victory', always maintained that Ayaka was a goddess anyway. Wonder if the camera would just focus on Ayaka in the crowd at all you know looking for a bit of eye candy as they always seem to do. She would have no trouble being picked that's for sure! Seems like she's madly in love with the guy, and he seems like a decent bloke, a gentleman as Ayaka said. Glad to see she's happy as she fully deserves it.

You're on the 1st hole about to make the drive. Lol your scenario would explain perfectly on how he got a double boogie on the first hole XD  but too bad he got disqualified this round...he was pretty close to making it since it got cut off at +9...verses some of the players that ended up with +29...that's a serious ouch XD

I presume the third person gender issue has to do with the null anaphora nature of finnish, it being a pro drop language (weakly, as compared to japanese).

For a lot of us, Ayaka's the reason why we're here...her Surprise English Lessons serve as a great introduction to the world of Hello Project. I've known about the existence of Morning Musume for years, but it was her series of videos (as well as her time in Coconuts Musume) that set me off into wanting to know more about them, particularly this one:

The sad things is, with the mere act of having this blog -- not even writing in it, mind you, just having it -- Ayaka already has a higher profile than she did her last several years in Hello! Project (was there anyone more criminally under-used than her?).

There was the members of Sheki-Dol and Ishii Rika. Most people don't even know who Sheki-Dol is (well, if they do, they're never mentioned. XD) and Ishii got to sing on the Children's complilation album things that H!P did and was in Odoru 11, but that's pretty much it. o.o

My Ayaka story: Two words: ENGLISH LESSONS!! I couldn't give a rats ass about Coconuts Musume, which seemed like a parody of Morning Musume at the time....but Ayaka shined in her little segments as she went around "torturing" members of Morning Musume, ridiculing them for their english skills by withholding food. Like for fuck sake, you really think they could live without a plate of sweets? The fuck - they could just go to the corner store and buy a goddamned donut. Ayaka also has very long legs <3

I realize I could just point to my post at the top of the previous page, but where's the fun in that? :P

My Ayaka story: It was the summer of 2009...Bored out of my mind watching random YouTube shit with no sense of focus in my searches, I somehow felt compelled to do a search for Japanese people attempting to speak English. After being amused by a few anime clips that featured varying degrees of success, I decided to seek out videos of live people, eventually stumbling across an entire series of "Surprise English Lessons". Recognizing a few of these victims from a previous experience (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=23380.msg661547#msg661547), I decided to look up who this Ayaka person was and her connnection with this unusually large collection of girls...and the rest, as they say, is history.
Favorite thing(s) about Ayaka: It's one thing to be perfectly bilingual with English and Japanese...it's another to be pretty damn good looking in addition to that. Mr. golfer dude is one lucky man.

No actress appearances since 2008 as best to my knowledge. I think she's still signed up to Tristone Entertainment though I don't know why she hasn't gotten roles. I like to think that she's too beautiful that she actually distracts both actors and actresses from doing their job. Either that or she's not pursing her acting career at this moment in time.

Damn, no updates in a while. I too hope she's doing okay.

It's kinda weird how I haven't paid much attention to Ayaka lately considering it was her work that got me into H!P in the first place...but then again, it seems that her blog is all she has right now. Come on, Japan, sign her up for some movies or TV dramas or something!

In the meantime, I guess we can always enjoy these again while we wait...

No new news in case you're wondering, but I'm sure she's craving for some pickles and ice cream as the days march on.

Instead, I just wanted to update the thread with some videos I found during my new hobby, browsing various H!P videos on Youtube. And all this stuff they did for UtaDoki with Ayaka as MC is stuff I'd never seen before. Well it's partially a lie, I did see the birthday surprise they threw for her, but never seen it subbed! If I understand correctly, she says she is in her 6th month of pregnancy. She was very happy that she and her husband (danna-sama) could feel the baby kicking when he held his hand on her tummy.

Jeez, I'm finding all kinds of threads I like today.

I guess I can say I'm a recent Ayaka fan =D. I was looking at a bunch of MM vids and stumbled onto her english lessons vids and got hooked lol. I'm so addicted to her english lessons. But um, yeah I like her mucho. For some reason ( I'm sure I'm dating myself =P ) but she reminds me of the Mexican girls I would go to school with back in the day lol. I think it's her odd Hawaiian accent combined with Mexican undertones XD I dunno. I just know I've kinda been crushing on her for a lil over a year.
