Got home around 5:35 PM, turned on the TV JUST in time to see...

The Sox pouring champagne on one another.

I was flipping between TBS, ESPN and Fox Sports West, where Angels analyst (and shameful homer) Rex Hudler was still spinning a baseball in his right hand like a pacifier. He was a LOT more quiet after "The Best Team In The Regular Season" got sent back home to Orange County. Hudler also kinda favored Tampa over the evil Sox and said well if the Angels can't be in the postseason anymore then, heck, let it be the DODGERS! (the team, BTW, that's really IN Los Angeles).

I left work around the time Torii Hunter hit the game-tying single in the 8th. Dang I totally missed out everything! Shoulda been extra innings again.

Routine win for Tampa. Everyone will be rested by the weekend. Hope it's a GREAT ALCS!

Joe Sheehan of Baseball Prospectus takes Tim McCarver to task for his criticism of Manny-Being-Manny in Boston.

I REALLY wish some other network would outbid FOX for the postseason. I mean, jeez even the Super Bowl (an Event more important than Sunday mass) changed channels once in a while. I am soooo sick of Buck and McCarver! And simulcasting the crappy AM radio transmission doesn't help because TV is almost five seconds slower.
