Sorry so late to post, this is from the Lupe fiasco show I went to with TOZ and my nephew.
Bitch Bad
Old School Love
Around my way (Freedom isn't free)

One of the reasons I'm doing this now is I need to clean out my camera for the Kyary Pamyu Pamyu show tomorrow.
I have got to get off my lazy ass and get moving.
Life is one time.

^ My legs hurt so much after that show. Worth it.

So De La is putting their entire catalog up for free tomorrow on their website.

Quote
The group tells Rolling Stone that its entire catalog will be available for download tomorrow, for 25 hours starting at 11AM ET. According to group member Posdnous, "Its been too long where our fans haven't had access to everything," despite a "trying" journey to wrangle all the clearance details.

I loved watch the previous 9th Wonder doc (The Wonder Year), but this one feels more important cause it follows 9th teaching hip hop at Harvard. I wanna watch this now.

So...I just learned about "A Night at the Hip Hopera", an album-length mashup of Queen songs/instrumentals with hip hop verses and samples that was made about ten years ago.
https://soundcloud.com/kleptones/a-night-at-the-hip-hopera

Pretty interesting idea; I was kinda hoping the Queen songs would be remixed into more of a hip hop sound, but it all still works, especially with certain songs of theirs being inherently sample-friendly anyway ("Another One Bites the Dust", "We Will Rock You", "Under Pressure", etc.).

Along with A Better Tomorrow, it looks like the Wu is gonna put out a secret album that is going on tour.

Quote
According to RZA and the album’s main producer Tarik “Cilvaringz” Azzougarh, a Morocco-based part of Wu-Tang’s extended family, the plan is to first take Once Upon A Time In Shaolin on a “tour” through museums, galleries, festivals and the like. Just like a high-profile exhibit at a major institution, there will be a cost to attend, likely in the $30-$50 range.

Take my money already.

^

http://scluzay.com/

"The album was produced over a period of six years by Wu Tang producer Cilvaringz under the tutelage of The RZA."

But.

"The album encapsulates the Clan’s legendary dark funk and avant garde sound and is produced in the original Wu Tang style of the 90s."

Nothing personal against anyone here who's a fan of Kanye, but maybe if he wasn't such a douche/overly full of himself...
