The Broadcast Authority (BA) received 26 complaints on Fala Chen's (陳法拉) "take off clothes and showing bra" scene; TVB received 1 complaint.

Although TVB had a complaint that the scene was not appropriate to be broadcast on television, but there are also supporters saying that the scene was reasonable and went along with the story. In the series, Fala misunderstood that Timmy Hung was gay, therefore it was reasonable that Fala treated him as a brother and does not need to avoid him while changing.
"The Stew of Life" Producer Amy Wong felt surprised by audience complaints. She said that Fala's changing scene does not intend to convey bad or immoral behavior, the public is just overreacting. Amy also expressed that there is no difference if they changed the setting to a beach where swimsuits are revealed before they get into the water.
Amy expressed that before doing this scene, she had done all her research. Gay men treat their opposite sex friends like sisters. The scene was arranged for this series because it is a comedy and should have some comedic effect. In the series, Fala misunderstood that Timmy is gay, the two become close friends. Amy understands that parents are worried, thinking that the scene should teach little girls how to protect themselves instead, but the series did display a "PG" rating before the episode started. Parents can still explain to their children on the actual content.

is there a tvb series thread? it would be awesome discussing about current and past series.
Last night "TVB Anniversary Awards 2009" was held in Tseung Kwan O's TVB City. TV King & Queen both went to the hot favorites Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang from "Rosy Business". "Rosy Business" overshadowed "Beyond" as they were the big winners of the night sweeping away 6 award categories.
Although before the award ceremony, Sheren was rumored to not get along with TVB executive Virgina Lok making her favor Charmaine Sheh more, which would have made Sheren disappointed once again since 2004. However, last night when Sheren made her acceptance speech, she broke away from the rumors by thanking Ms. Lok as well.
Sheren Tang's acceptance speech
Sheren said: "Thank you to all my colleagues, I am really happy. Thank you TVB, Ping Wai, Stephen Chan, Virgina Lok. Thank you Mrs. Tsang for giving me such a great role for me to portray and for believing in me. Every time I attend award ceremonies, there are always many rumors. I want to say that TVB doesn't need me to sign a long contract and still give me good series to film, this is what I'm most pleased about. I thank all the friends, Netizens and all viewers for supporting me. Thank you Producer for not finding me annoying for always asking why, thank you Tim Gor for the good script, it's the first time he used me. I thank all of the scriptwriters!"
Sheren calmly talked about her feelings for winning the awards backstage, she said: "I am really happy, I got all the awards that I hoped to get. The series and Tim Gor both got awards also. Tonight female cast members all wore white, while the male cast wore black. We didn't plan this out before, it was such a coincidence. Thank God!" In response to Sheren becoming the new TV Queen, Netizens wrote online: "Long Live 4th Mistress!"

Sharon Chan, Kate Tsui, Jeanette Leung and the rest of the cast members to "The Beauty of the Game" attended "The Beauty of the Game: Dance of 2010" event in Olympian City. The purpose of the event was to encourage people not to get involved with drugs. Sharon and Jeanette clashed in outfits at the event, just that one is black and one is white. However, Sharon was not embarrassed about it.
Sharon frankly said that the clash in outfit was an accident: "So surprising, this is the first time I clash with someone, I never thought it would happen in such a casual event. But its natural that there will be lots of people buying pretty clothes, I felt that this shirt was very cute so I brought it. When Jeanette gets back, she better remember to tell her boyfriend to sponsor me! Her boyfriend is Japanese? A Hong Kong designer? I didn't know!"
Jeanette heard Sharon's comments at the side and started blushing in embarrassment. She denied that he was her boyfriend, but admits that he is currently looking for artists to sponsor clothing to.
At the event, Kate showed off her dance skills, partnering up with Stephen Huynh to becoming dance king and queen. Kate said: "The series got better feedback then expected, at first I was worried that the holidays would affect the ratings, but realized that viewers would still catch the episodes online. Actually the series is quite positive, it's telling everyone not to get involved with drugs, hoping that audience can understand the meaning behind the story." It was rumored that Christine Ng's vigorous slapping scene in the series is a reenactment of the scene where Liza Wang slaps Jamie Chik? Kate said: "I'm not sure, when I was filming the producer had told me about it. The scene has some true and false, we were to estimate our actions."

^ I've been hearing a lot of good things about the show...I'm gonna have to watch some this week, and see what's all the hype about.
Didn't know we had a TVB thread. Must say I haven't watched much local TV, probably only one or two TVB series this year. I'm already months behind on AKB and H!P stuff and 2 seasons behind jdramas.
But I was a TV freak when I grew up.
When I was like 4yo and we had one of those VCR recorders actually eject the tape from a platform that rose up the top, I turned a few minutes of the audio from Chow Yun Fat's The Smiling, Proud Wanderer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Smiling,_Proud_Wanderer_%281984_TV_series%29) to english babble. :D
Easy feat with 2 VCRs, but it's still a family mystery how I did it with only one.
A recent TVB series I did follow was 洪武三十二 (http://programme.tvb.com/drama/relicofanemissary).
I'm a sucker for Wuxia dramas. That and the mix of royal bureaucracy and Kate Tsui going all mysterious temptress made it really enjoyable.
