I was reading an interview made to Kaori in a magazine and I wanted to comment something about it but, I didn't know where to post it. So I guessed I had to make a praising thread... (honestly I was hesitating about making one coz I suppose just Purpus and me will post... *sigh* so Purpus-san we have a chat for us now! LOL)
Anyways, the article talks about Kaori's life before and after graduation. The point that caled my attention was that kaori said that after her graduation she took 10 days for vacations. She visited, Paris, Monaco, Nice, Roma and Europe in general. Ahhh, It seems she really loves all the Europe things... maybe her secret dream is being European. I wouldn't mind that since Europe is closer than Japan for me. It wouldn't be so difficult going there (I mean, not as difficult as Japan).
Anyways I feel kinda envy. I wish I was Europe; in that way, Kaori could put her feet over me.
Why she didn't pick Chile? There is a place that really looks like Montecarlo, she could have come here. Dammit.

Keep in mind that I have no musical talent whatsover. This is a very simple 1+1 "remix" (if you can call it that). I basically took the Delerium track "Heaven's Earth (Matt Darey Dub)" and laid Kaori's vocals over it. I sequenced the vocal portions... which was kinda tough because there really isn't too many verses or choruses (hence the repeats).
I know it's kinda crappy but let me know what you think. :D

I've got tons of respect for Kaori for being interested in other countries and other things than just being an idol (cooking, art, and she can even play a guitar). You know, sometimes I get the feeling that a bunch of those girls are kinda air-headed, but Kaori certainly isn't. :D

Remember when they went to Hawaii this past July, and Kaori was in Risa's group? (Her and Miki were going: RIIIIIIDA!!!! RIIIIIDA!!!)
A somewhat childish moment for Kaori was when they were at the bubble-tea joint. Kaori took one sip of her bubble tea and from the way her eyes bugged out and the way she gleefully squealed "OISHII!!!", man it was like seeing a little kid have chocolate for the very first time! So KAWAII!!!

Kaori's solo concert!
Kaori works like a slave. She has been making almost two concerts per day, every day. Each concert lasts 1 hour and half... and she's got different guests. On the first concert, the guest was Tsunku, after, Kei, Atsuko Inaba, Shouko Aida, Natsumi Abe... (there is a guest called ruka who's always a guest...) Well, her last guest was Mari Yaguchi and it seems the concert was perfect coz I found in certain japanese forum what they talked about in the concert. So, as I was bored and I feel i have to give life to this thread, I translated it in the best way i could.
Kaori: Today we have a special guest too! Yaguchi!
Audience: Woooooo!
(Yaguchi goes to stage while she shines, wearing a yellow dress that begins on her shoulders)
Yaguchi: Good Night! Yaguchi desu!
Kaori: Iyaaaa, Yaguchi, you're so little!
Yaguchi: That's coz I cannot grow up more.

Well you know (or don't know) Kaori's got her own radio program each Saturday in the morning (9:30am - 10am) in FMNack5 (there is also a Noriko Kato, but who cares... :P )

Kaori looked little freaked out in that clip, but she's promoting horror movie, so it was not a bad thing. Too bad they screwed the ending with Yaguchi-question, but as long as they're not giving any info, the press will ask about Yaguchi.

Well, it was very obvious they were gonna ask about Yaguchi. i mean, if I was a journalist... I'd ask it too.
As I said in JPM (and as also Philo said).
They asked to Kaori: are idols able to fall in love? and Kaori replied with a nervous smile (proly she wanted to say "of course we cannot!" but of course she wasn't allowed to say that).
When they asked Kaori about Yaguchi she felt really scared coz it was the first time she had a press conference like that (I think it was indeed, the first time the journalist were so... persistant) and she said she didn't know the reasons Yaguchi had and she also very surprised. Also, before leaving the stage she said: "i think it was a girlfriend-style (Yaguchi-like) decision".
Poor Kaori, she looked like upset, scared and nervous.... and absolutely hot in that red dress. :oops:

Oh, shit! I had no idea that clip even existed! It just makes me more angry that fuckin Tsunku never let her develop her talent in that area. She hasn't even been able to play guitar for her own songs (at least, not the ones she's performed on TV or in PVs). What suckage.

Lol omg! She looks so pretty here.. Never have i seen her with this kind of hairstyle. When she was in Momusu, her hair was always long. I think she looked pretty with long hair....her short hair's pretty cute too. She looked so different in that graduated and non grad momusu love machine perf. Not sure where it was. All I know is Airi was in that performance and she got the ending.
But then again..everyone looked different in that performance.

I remember watching that episode. She hadn't danced yet at that part of the show that the screencap shows. That particular part of the show had VTR clips from MM giving her encouragement and telling her that they were rooting for her. That's why she was crying. The show of support made her really happy she was shedding tears of joy.

I finally dled Kaori's albums, and man, if you've got the right mood the music's awesome and not boring at all :O They should already release a best album of hers, Kaori has already released 4 albums, and Maki and Aya had best of's after 3 only... I first noticed Kaorin because of the calm and warm feeling she gave of and that's still my favorite thing about her. The general air about Kaori just seems so different from all the other H!P-girls. Kaorin is also really beatiful and I'm always envious of her long hair.
One of my favorite Kaori moments is her Futarigoto. Watching Kaori slowly talk about essences is really calming.

What I've said about Kaori for as long as I can remember is...
She's never really been one of my fav members because she's not what I look for in an idol... But she's one of the H!P members I always thought would make a fascinating friend; someone you'd really like to know personally, talk about random stuff with and such. She seems so down-to-earth. My Kaori story: I first starting liking Kaori after watching her Surprise English Lessons (ARE YOU FOR REAL?!?!). Then after watching the early Utabans (where she -- and to a slightly lesser extent, Nakazawa -- were teased and picked on all the time) she became my favorite, hands down. I was sad when she became less goofy and more reserved after she became the leader (like how Yossy pointed out in the...Shabondama, I think?...Utaban appearance), but I still love her lots and lots.
Favourite Kaori song: I'm not too familiar with Kaorin's solo work, but I do like "Door no Mukou de Bell ga Natteta."

My Kaori story: When I became a MM fan, Kaori had already for most parts calmed down to her leader role, so I guess that really affected why she didn't really become a fave. But I really enjoyed watching older videos of her being all crazy and free, and the moments in Haromoni when she still let go were some of the most hilarious ones. Also, no other MM member will ever dance like Kaori does!! :D Kaori has always seemed like one of the most approachable (down to earth?) members to me.

My Kaori story: One word (or name, rather) says it all: Johnson. Watching the early episodes of Utaban got me paying attention to her whether I wanted to or not, and I'm better off for it, as the most random, ridiculous nickname in H!P history ensured that I would clearly remember who exactly Kaori Iida was (of course, her being a towering giant compared to everyone else helps a lot as well). And it's good that I identify her easily, because as much of an awkward victim she was on that show, she showed competence and a sense of control elsewhere. An excellent singer despite being mostly in the background; showing off her fun side in Ayaka's Surprise English Lessons and HaroMoni Theater skits; displaying both brain and brawn in the Mechaike Okajo specials...now I gotta rethink that list I posted in the Favorite Grad Members thread. :lol: I also gotta put more effort into researching her solo songs, which I had trouble finding until Mucca's recent post here.

My Kaori story:
Same as Konkon and Rika: Moshi Kashimashi Monogatari. As the tallest and the more mature looking, she caught my eye quickly. I watched skits and interviews featuring here, and I apreciated more and more; then the tanpopo discography (with the pardon of Rika, I'll stick with the first gen forever). Her voice was deep and unusual in what I indentified as a japanese singer. Besides, she is wasn't never sparkly cutesy, she had and still has class and elegance (despising her strange dancing xD). Not a lot of ladies can portray that with the naturality she does. And yes, she's my favorite MM forever <3

"Leader", who turned 30 earlier this year, always said her dream was to be a singer, and little did she know she would earn the nickname Johnson as part of that dream. Always stood out as the beatiful woman in a sea of cute, funny, kawaii group mates.
Took the leadership role seriously, and had to deal with a lot of younger, sometimes unpredictable young girls.
Sometimes she seemed as if she had faded into the background, but if you have ever seen her graduation concerts, she never was far from the minds of her fans, and group mates (she practically raised the 5th generation).
She has suffered great personal loss in her life, but continues to perform as she feels that is the best way to carry on.
Today her Morning Musume fans are enjoying her as part of Dream Morning Musume, and once again we all can enjoy her talent, her sometimes spacy but always sincere personality, and her grace on stage.

Former Morning Musume member Iida Kaori announces her 2nd pregnancy
Former Morning Musume member Iida Kaori (31) has announced through her official blog that she is pregnant with her 2nd baby.
Iida reported, “I’ve entered my stable period and I’m due next spring! Day after day, I wasn’t feeling very well… but now, I’m very healthy and recently, I feel small movements in my stomach. I love our child and I’m looking forward to its everyday growth.” She continued, “It will become lively from now on, but please continue to support me.”
Iida married rock band 7HOUSE vocalist Kenji back in July of 2007. They were blessed with their first son in January of 2008, but he passed away after 6 months due to chronic renal failure. Since then, Iida had refrained from her activities, but made a comeback with a concert in January of 2009. She also became a member of Dream Morning Musume in 2011.
