Apparently the SCLL album is actually a double album. Or whatever "two releases" is supposed to mean. (Damn you google translate)

Also, Lostage mini-album in september. And 54-71 just released an album yesterday (anybody hear that yet?).

Heh, I know this is old, but can someone recommend me some J-rock bands that are popular? Apparently, I have a hard time finding some, since everyone's bashing every "popular" j-rock band :( (my friends)

Anything would do~!.

So far I have been listening to The Gazette.

Thanks ^^  :cow:

After listening to it just once I'm going to say this is probably the album of the year really, really good.

Thanks for the album.

It's better than the trainwreck that was ZBIII, that's for sure. As much as I'd love to praise Mukai to high heavens, he doesn't quite hit the bullseye with this one either and drifts off with his experiments in cacophony a little too much, once again, at the expense of coherent songwriting. His newfound joy, the simple, melodic synth experiments work far better and make the sound refreshing.

The album has its moments, even though those are mainly the tracks we've heard already. Here and there. The final twosome, Drifting/DWBWY remix and Sabaku, close the album brilliantly.

All that said, it's a big step up and a return to form.

I think ZBIII had a damn near perfect flow throughout the album. Pop, noise, funk, rock. It did it all and it was all really good.
I think there's a disconnect between the synth ballads that open and close ZB4 and the funk-noise that's in the middle. Both sides are good but I wish they had been able to connect them somehow.
