List the title of the movie and the part in the movie that brought you to tears (or at least got you a little emotional...aka "chills") :MKdepressed:
Lion King - When Mufasa died, i was on the verge of crying...there were 4 girls watching it with me, and they werent sad at all. ****.
Space Jam - When Jordan landed, Wanye Knight said "ladies and gentlemen, michael jordan" ...it gave me shivers when the music started playing (i believe i can fly)
Other honorable mentions include:
Homeward bound
Kung Fu Hustle
Thirteen

A song to the Sun, so close and yet ..... don't want to spoil the movie

Scarface - When Tony shot Manny, waaa~

Taiyo no Uta.
-
Hmm, it's kind of tough to remember!
The Illusionist - I started crying when I thought Sophie was gone, but it all worked out, and I walked out of the theater feeling embarrassed about how I reacted XD
Léon - Anybody who didn't cry at the end doesn't have a heart
Dracula - I feel bad for Dracula everytime! Vampires deserve happiness, too

Hotaru no haka (the grave of the fireflies) from Studio Ghibli
I cried really hard and for almost all that afternoon. If I think of the movie, mai eyes get teary even now.
That movie is a must see. Beautiful and sad. Pure art.

Yeah, I get a little misty every time I see that too.
-
For me, there's a bunch of them, but usually only at the end. That's always where they stick all the really emotional stuff.
From Hollywood:
Letters From Iwo Jima
Big Fish
From Asia:
Taegukgi
Hero (yes, the one with Jet Li)
In anime:
Grave of the Fireflies (couldn't watch it again, it was so sad)
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
the endings of both seasons of Mahoromatic
I guess the theme I'm consistently moved by is self-sacrafice.
-
The mighty freak. Only that movie could make me cry. Anime never does that for me, I have no idea why.
Also, some supah-crappy movies that shouldn't be watched by any human being XD
-
Grave of the Fireflies....that's it. I was teary throughout the entire movie, even when I rewatched it. It's strange that an Anime is more realistic and human than any "real" war movie. Probably my favourite movie right now.
MASTERPIECE!!!
-
i haven't watched many movies in a while, but recently i've watch some good korean movies with such a sad ending.
Daddy Long Legs
Hearty Paws
Il Mare, glad there's a happy ending.
i actually just watched these 3 movies within this week, i think i actually cried in the end. such a good dramatic movies.
There's also the Chinese action/thriller/drama Confession of Pain although i didn't exactly cried, but it was sad in the end.
These are great movies. this is what i remembered now, but when i remember some other movies (of any origin) i'll see if i can name some so maybe u wanna check it out.
U Know.... all this talk about the Grave of the Fireflies anime movie is making me interested, can someone tell me where i can get my hands on it? thanks.
-
this might be wierd
but rudy seems to get me teary eyed, especially in the end when he gets to play

Lost in Translation
-
The only movie that's made me feel truly sad was Schindler's List.
-
I didn't cry watching Grave of the Fireflies, kinda more irritated at the brother since they could have begged to go home instead of stowing away anyway. Broke my heart, but a bit angry though.
Street Fighter the movie made me cry too. I'll never get those 1:45 back of my life.
Nausicaa - all time favorite anime movie.
:ONpleeease:
-
Passion of the christ, life is beautiful, and titanic
-
"Koinu Dan no Monogatari"
"Grave of the Fireflys" I got the german DVD from a friend. That films heavy stuff.
-
Monsters Inc. I was like 9 and when Boo had to go back through her door, I started to get teary. Then at the end I was like, "OMG HER DOOR IS BACK!" I was happy again. Grave of Fireflies made me teary only because I watched the end. XD
-
The end of My Sassy Girl, I was soooo HAPPY!
-
^ The ending was like a WTF. I mean, how do you not know your boyfriend's brother. It was still a good movie though.
-
I am too manly to cry, but I came close watching Grave of the Fireflies.
I saw it for the first time as part of a festival of Studio Ghibli films. I had already went to see Totoro and Kiki's Delivery Service, both great and happy films. Then I seen Grave of the Fireflies, I was not prepared for that one.
For me, easily the best war film ever made. Realistic, brutal and sad. (sniff) :(
-
Troy and Space Travelers.
Both finals are very sad :(:(:(
-
since a lot of posters were commenting on Grave of the Fireflies, i decided to check it out, turns out to be one of the greatest sad film i've watched in a while. such a great movie with a sad ending. anime or not, it truly is one of the best war film (or anti-war film). i read some info on it. turns out studio that made that film also made kiki's delivery service, which is a great movie i've watched back in the days. also Spirited away, howl's moving castle, and other great anime films. thing is compared to all the others, this is a more tragic movie with such a sad ending.
-
No doubt Grave of the Fireflies is the winner here. I didn't want to watch it a second time because it makes me feel sad for the entire day.
Tears of the sun did make me feel sad too. Especially the massacre of the christians by the muslims.
-
Damn everyone's saying Grave of the Fireflies and how can I argue with that? :(
Another is Nobody Knows (Dare mo shiranai) a film based on true events in which a Japanese woman abandoned her four small children to fend for themselves, the oldest son struggling to take care of his younger siblings. It was not only sad, but really a beautiful movie at times too. I cried so much :(
-
I cried during parts of Braveheart by Mel Gibson. Especially the "freedom" part even when he was being disembowelled.
-
i dunno. it's hard to 'cry'. But i do shed some tears.. yeah.. i do. touching movies do that.

I just bought that film and now I know what happens. I knew I should have stopped reading......
-
Aside from Grave of the Fireflies (if you didn't shed a single tear watching this movie then you're not human), Lost in Translation not because it's so sad coz I can relate to the main characters that I thought I was Bill Murray (except the being an actor part). I cried at the ending part.
Also The Elephant Man by David Lynch (very touching film, a must see classic) and Ikiru by Akira Kurosawa (very sad at the same time very inspiring, i cried on the part when the lead actor was singing on the park).
-
well would anime count as a movie? if it is grave of fireflies is pretty darn sad, arggg hate the damn landlord who took the kids in!
-
Saving Private Ryan, when Wade the medic dies. Also, towards the end when Captain Miller is about to die and tells Private Ryan to "earn it."
Though this was a mini-series and not a movie, Band of Brothers also had some scenes that got to me. Like when the jewish soldier (forget his name) had to tell the jews in the camp to not eat the food and go back inside. And when Compton sees two if his men with a leg blown off and he gets really messed up from it.
-
Titanic. That's all I can think of now, lol.
-
The pursuit of happiness, Titanic & Blood Diamond. Hmm, that's all I can remember for now.
-
Titanic and the Gladiator ::)
-
Ima Ai Ni Yukimasu.
Lots of 80s films make me well up towards the end. For example in Back To The Future when his mum and dad get together and the music plays a big romantic version of the theme :D
-
Where the heart Is, this movie made me tear up in some moments and laugh at others. I bet Wal Mart had a huge stake in this
-
never shed a tear for a movie before but i just feel more water at my eyes and yes i felt so sad when i watch 1 liter or tears
-
the movie that made me cried is
Be with you- in the ending part
and
Nana- when Reira(is that her name?) sang endless story on stage
-
The ending of silent running made me cry
Star Trek 10 Where Data Died
The end of the Crow
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon the bit where Master Li Mu Bai dies
-
i would have to say Grave of the Fireflies ;) (of course), and Windstruck (Luv that movie   )
-
Ima ai ni yukimasu (be with you)
Taiyo no uta (song to the sun) :'(
-
C.I.N.T.A and TENTANG BULAN.......
this is malay movies.......this movie make me cry always........ :'(

Should we be admiting this?
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

-
Titanic and The last Samurai
-
Recently I saw the movie Quill(2004). It was about the life of guide dog named Quill and the ending gave me teary eyes.
Great movie for dog fans. Check it out!
-
I'm not the crying type but...
The 1503rd vote for da da~ "Grave of the Fireflies"!
Also want to add "Life is Beautiful", though it didn't make me cry.
After getting through the first 20 minutes of snoring Happyville, the black comedy and moving moments flood in. And you'd ask yourself how you'd cope in the same situation.
Oh, and when Optimus died in Transformers. ;)
-
The Notebook, which is based on the novel of the same name :)...
-
Hm. I dont cry when watching movies but I was felt sad after watching a japanese movie called graves of the fireflies and a japanese drama called beautiful life.
-
Korean movies are always made me cry...
-
MOULIN ROUGE! That made me cry every time I watched it! LOVE that movie.

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind!
