Paraguay should have gotten to take their penalty again, given that there were several Spanish player meters into the box. It was a lucky goal from Villa, definitely not impressed by Spain's play. Do they really think they can beat Germany?

At least if Uruguay can move on, Suarez can play in the final. Shitty move on his part, but awesome at the same time. Uruguay would have been toast without that. I don't expect Uruguay to beat Netherlands either way, sadly.

Maybe Suarez should have been a keeper instead?

At the end of the first half, I thought Uruguay still had a reasonable chance, but then the Dutch just steamrolled them.

The difference between winning and losing, almost! Germans probably realized they couldn't match Spain when it comes to possession-play because like Arsenal and Barcelona, they're just geared mentally and physically to play like that. They tried the clever tactic of hitting on counter, and they had a few decent chances. If Müller was there, they would have had that extra dimension in counter-attacking and wing-play and of course that guy can easily score goals too. Everything worked fine, till they left Puyol unmarked outside the box. Tough luck for Germany because from then on, Spain would still have kept 70% possession. With Xavi and Iniesta in ANY team of the world, they're always gonna keep 70% possession.

I think the Spanish would win the world cup. Stekelenburg didn't impress me against Uruguay and he could be exposed again against Spain. Damn the Spanish are as tough as Barcelona and it would another "special one" to unlock them I guess

Congrats to Germany on 3rd place! I was still holding the grudge against Uruguay/Suarez. But my brother supports Germany, so I follow after him anyways.
