I hear that California hates America and Italians and doesn't celebrate it.
Be irresponsible and skip class. Seriously what good has ever come out of going to school.

Also NY Anime Festival/NY Comic Con is that weekend.

So I was checking out more hotels closer to the city. If you could spend a bit more there are a couple of hotels just across the river in Jersey City. Its a much easier and shorter commute from my town. They're around the $200 a night range.

Moog I better see next month!

Marriott Residence Inn East Rutherford Meadowlands - East Rutherford, NJ http://bit.ly/9qwcDh
Marriott Courtyard Lyndhurst Meadowlands - Lyndhurst, NJ http://bit.ly/cTcH17
Quality Inn Meadowlands - Lyndhurst, NJ http://bit.ly/9Wqvv5

These are the hotels in my town. I recommend the Courtyard at $99 a night. The bus stop is right outside the hotels and drops you off at the Port Authority Bus Terminal which is within walking distance of the Convention Center where the Anime Festival is being held. To get to Randall's Island you would take the subway then a shuttle bus to the festival.

Edited your post a bit Jay :)

So I went and looked at these 3 hotels that Jay was kind enough to post and right now the last 2 in Lyndhurst are significantly cheaper (99/night) than the first hotel in East Rutherford which is at 169/night. It does include free internet and a free buffet breakfast which is pretty convenient and is good for up to "four" people BUT at "five" or more people it gives a choice of a 2 bedroom SUITE that is fully loaded at 239/night.

- 2 bedrooms (like I said earlier)
- 2 bathrooms
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Refrigerator
- Stovetop
- Oven
- Microwave
- Silverware
- Pots, pans, and serving dishes
- Dishes and glasses

Didn't someone mention during the SM Town meetup that we need to have a suite so we all can stay in it? Here's our chance. Ladies in one room, guys in another. Same with the bathrooms. And for those who are culinary inclined, maybe we can cook up something from scratch JPHiP style. I dunno about you guys but I always wanted to stay in a suite :)

Its location isn't that bad either. About a half hour to get to the NYAF and 1.5 hrs to the Chuseok Festival using public transportation (according to google maps).

If we have enough interested in this, I'm more than willing to book it.

Oh, for those going, we have less than 13 hours left till the ticket mailing deadline for NYAF. We doing all three days? Online ticket prices are:

Weekend Pass - $50

Friday Pass - $30
Saturday Pass - $40
Sunday Pass - $30

Thanks limit! I'm down for the suite idea.  I just bought my Sat passes for NYAF.  Me, almond and my g/f are going.

Hey guise Snow and I work for a hotel chain and we can get rooms for $40/night, granted they're not  5 or even 4 star rooms...they're pretty basic in terms of size and amenities (free breakfast and wifi though) and it's only $40/night w/ employee discount. So....if we dont have enough ppl for a 2 bedroom suite we can always do that adn have a rollaway bed, right? That would make the trip really cheap. We could also get 2 rooms :P :cow: :tama-mad: :shakeit:

Does anybody have a source as to the concert only being on the 10th (Sunday)? Most colleges don't give Columbus Day off and the 9th is a more preferable day for me and my friends to go.

shit I'm totally down for 40. I'd sleep in shit, as long as I have place to crash. save money for clubbing.

The suite sounds dope, we save money on food instead of eating out all the time....but shit, we can just book our fucking plane tickets now with dem cheap rates. Thanks Em + Nat!! :shakeit:

Got me a weekend pass already for NYAF :jphip:

How long y'all staying? I'm thinking a week 7-14 catch a football/basketball game or two.

Nat & I can't stay long, just the weekend cause we have school. We'll probably fly up Friday night after school and have to catch a red-eye Sunday night after the concert. T_T
