I've been waiting forever for Aichan to get comments enabled on her blog... But it feels like this was prompted because of the earthquake/tsunami... It's upsetting that such an event was the trigger for her opening her comments.

Conserve energy.

Today, people went to work in the city.

Looking around, the whole city was saving energy.


Everyone has to work together.

Good Morning

Everyone, how are you feeling?

It's sunny in Tokyo, but it's still cold.

At my parents' home in Fukui, snow has fallen.


I think the days continue to be cold in Tohouku as well.

Moreover, it looks like colds are spreading.

Now I feel like I'm going to have Dekkai Uchuu ni Ai ga Aru running through my head all day.

I saw that quote and knew it was lyrics to a song, but I wasn't sure which one and forgot to look it up...show's how much I listen to that particular song (I even forget the whole entire title of the song sometimes).

Thank you so much for translating the recent blog entries. Aichan usually doesn't write enough in her posts for translation to be really necessary (especially with the random English thrown in), but it seems that she's been putting up more substantial stuff since the earthquake...and it's always great to get a better sense of what she's actually saying.

I used to have a very bad aversion to Dekkai... I don't remember the full name of the song either. I just call it Dekkai. My brother knows what I mean when I say that.  By now, I can't remember why exactly it is that I was so against the song.

And no prob! I'm translating them for myself anyway as it's helping me learn some kanji.  Glad to be of help. ^_^
