The new regular show "KURO and MAYU's Flash of Lightening" featuring the duo Kuroyanagi Yoshio, bassist in the rockband SOPHIA, and MAYU, vocalist in the all girls rock band BLiSTAR, will start on CBC Radio from July 4 (Sunday).

This is actually the show's title (temporarily).
Please send us suggestions for something fitting to replace the"~~"-part in "KURO and MAYU's lightening~~"!

Let us know about the heroes and heriones you yearn for from anime, Tokusatsu films, and Sentai series. We'd also like to hear about special episodes you are particularly fond of. KURO and MAYU will occasionally answer questions.

Other requests, like questions, interviews, messages etc should be sent via the proper "KURO and MAYU's lightening" mail forms found at the official CBC Radio site hicbc.com. Requests can also be made via CBC's mobile site.

OH MY GOD. They posted a preview of their new PV (for their upcoming single Tokyo Lightning), and it absolutely rocks. I love it to bits @_@; I don't think Mayu's ever sounded better

They also uploaded the entire first episode of Mayu's new radio show for everyone to listen to! IN VIDEO FORMAT

Wow, she's 29 now! xD;;;;;;;; She seems much younger

She spent her last day as a 28year old partying with friends. They all dressed up.

Mayu dressed up as Soryu Asuka Langley from Neon Genesis Evangelion!

And someone at her party dressed up in this extremely disturbing Snow White / Gaston costume @_@; NIGHTMARE MATERIAL!

The full PV for 東京稲妻 is out!

omg omg omg

the verse melody is kind of... simple, but I'm still really, really enjoying this. I hope they stick to this kind of sound in the future!

The guy in the PV is Sugiura Tayou, he worked on Ultraman Cosmos together with Mayu 8]

There's also a documentary series (!!!!) about BLiSTAR being aired in a segment called Dragon Push Artist on the show 音龍門 on 日本テレビ

The first episode aired yesterday started with talking about Mayu's idol days, and the forming of THE PINK★PANDA.

Just a bit confused. . .they are called The Pink Panda right?. . .or is it The Pink Panda/BLiSTAR? 0_0

Anyway I just found out about em, annoyed that I've never heard of them before, and wow they are pretty dam good, every song I've YooToobed so far I've liked. . .^_^

Nah, they used to be THE PINK★PANDA, but they split up back in 2009. KOGA (the THE PINK★PANDA bassist) went on to form Gacharic Spin with a bunch of other cool girls, while MAYU, Rina and NANA-A (the rest of THE PINK★PANDA) continued on and signed a deal with a major record label. They were re-named BLiSTAR. They've released a mini-album (B), and now this single, 東京稲妻.

I'm glad you like them, though! I absolutely love THE PINK★PANDA, but both of these two new bands seem good too. I've been following Gacharic Spin since the very beginning, but recently got really into BLiSTAR's stuff as well.

I checked out Gacharic Spin aswell since their thread had some pretty recent posts xD
I think their pretty good too, lovin the Bass haha but not so keen on the Vocals :/ and isit just me or are the drums in Gacha really really quiet? :S

We should keep Gachapin talk in the Gachapin thread, but to answer your comment...

Armmy (Gacharic Spin vocalist) really surprised me at first, but I love her voice @_@! It's so refreshing in a way... in that her voice is rather low and not as nasal as most other Japanese female vocalists I've heard. I think she's awesome, and it suits Gachapin' eclectic style very well. As for quiet drums... I haven't thought about that xD;

Yeah do agree with how her voice is different than alotta other squeaky high pitch girls. Dam its growing on me now after listeinin to Lock on a few moar times

BLiSTAR will appear on internet radio tomorrow! On a show called Suono Dolce

You can use the mail form on the right hand side of that page to submit questions for the show!!

You can listen to the internet radio here. You have to fill out some stuff before getting to their flash-player, but it's very easy! Let me show you~~~ xD

For the "Place of residence" one, just pick the very bottom one "海外", it means you don't live in Japan.

For where you are listening from you can pick this one:

It means you're listening to the radio at your house. Though I don't really think it matters which one you pick, haha xD;; Just pick whatever for the occupation one.

So did anyone tune in to Suono Dolce? YOU SHOULD HAVE! The radio has a live stream of the studio, so you can see the interview~ they also played the 東京稲妻 PV, and they played both of the coupling tracks on the upcoming single!

The coupling tracks are awesome, this is a really solid first single from the girls, omg

Apparently the song "♯つぶやきLOVE" is inspired/about twitter, so that explains the hashtag in the title xD; haha

"この空の下で" reminds me of Pinpan, particularly their later maxi singles

Funny points from the interview includes Mayu saying that she loves summer, and then being teased by the radio host, because she isn't tan at all. Mayu said she likes sleeping on her veranda

But not necessarily to get tan, she just likes sleeping there
