I'm a fairly recent fan in terms of H!P history but I can't believe it's been 10 years since some of the early 4th gen music ; u ;

^ lol its actually one of those songs where if you are a big fan of 4th gen and MM back in the day, it was awesome, also i need to find the vid about kago wanting mini moni get more airtime so kawaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

One of the catchiest songs in the Tsunku canon!  Loved this clever reboot of the Tanpopo brand back... damn I guess it WAS ten (10) years ago.

Anyone here remember the Musume e-groups mailing list that later morphed into Yahoo Groups?  I remember some people (well, maybe two or three) just SLAMMING this song and the new, light-hearted image that was adopted following the departure of Ishiguro Ayappe.  I think I replied to the group that those people were just MISSING OUT (along with a few choice expletives kept to myself).  Man, Tsunku was on fire way back when.

I bought this CD single on release date from my local store (Hakubundo) for the usual 50 percent markup with no regrets.  No, it wasn't a chart topper like "Chokotto Love" but H!P didn't need every song to be #1 (like Johnnys) to expand the brand.

Besides I'm not sure you wanted Kago Aibon in a flimsy silk negligee, wearing heavy eye makeup and moaning the lyrics to "Motto."

I can't say I'm too much of a fan of this song or the image change, but it's not bad either. If anything, the Utaban special effects performance really makes the song for me. :lol:
