Is it weird that now my favourite track from the album is Hoshi no Hitsujitachi? :lol:

They're doing great, aren't they? So I don't think they'll be dumped anytime soon. These girls are the aces of Kids anyway, if you don't show them off, then what are they gonna do with them?

I have to say the singles and album are some of the best releases I have heard in a while. I am not however saying that H!P as a whole has been releasing bad song.(as some might say) But this album is just so great. I hope the follow singles and hopefully album's' will be just as good or better. But they do have one album I can listen to from start to finish, and not have to skip tracks. There are a few that are just ok, but I can live with that.

The September issue of Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine will reportedly announce on August 2 that the anime adaptation of Peach-Pit's Shugo Chara! manga has been green-lit for a second year. The two manga artists who make up Peach-Pit have been drawing their take on the magical girl genre since the end of 2005, and director Kenji Yasuda and the Satelight animators have been producing the anime version since last fall. The manga won the Best Children's Manga honor in this year's Kodansha Manga Awards. Del Rey publishes the manga version in North America.

Seems like they played instruments once yeah, the setlist also says live band... though I thought it meant other people (like in the pv) being the people playing instruments first.
I would be surprised if they didn't film the concert to make a Buono! Days extra DVD or even concert DVD (fc release...><). I want to see that too at least.

I remember Airi playing the Piano in some VTR of C-ute's concerts so maybe keyboard would be easiest for her to play, but can't remember if I heard something like a keyboard at all in that part of the concert :sweatdrop:

it was in only one vtr (debut concert or golden hatsu date, don't remember). it was the vtr in which saki was spying the other members. and all airi did was hitting singles notes for her vocal warmup. that's not playing piano, she was just doing warmup for her voice

I had a dream about Buono! last night :farofflook:
the beginning is not clear but i remember i put them into a pizza soufflée lol then i put Nakimushi Shounen on and sing along while i was cooking them XD
and then i was in my cousin's old house living room, and the pizza became something like tissue...i took one of them and dress them up one by one with different clothes until Airi came and we talked a little :

Yeah, good to be back somehow. It's bothersome to live in a hotel for so long time. But you know, now I can't go to a H!P store nor see Momoko live for a long time :-\
Anyway.
I read about Momoko doing a wota imitation at at least "one of the events" today. If that's true, I really want to see it. But I don't want to see Momoko loosing at the game there o/ ... only spent time in the momo corner lately so dunno about Airi and Miya. Well, I think Airi won the game once (at least, there were 3 "events" after all).
I also hope they release some video footage somewhere. So many fun things we never get to see...

"books lh sh15uya loa it" lmao typos in my dream, i think it was "looks like sh15uya is going to do it" anyway , after that part i was in a dance lesson with the hello project kids, i was like a trouble maker, and teasing Airi untill she shouted "i want my husband !" then she wanted to hug Miya but i put my hand on her face XD
they were hugging eachother looking really happy, i found it so cute that i wanted to take a picture, so i asked captain to hold the phone so i could take a picture with them, but when i came and hug them, their face changed. After that i was chasing Airi and Miya because i wanted a picture but the teacher came and took my phone and everybody else phone too. Airi was mad at me hehe. Then it was time to dance and i danced with Maiha then i woke up

I've been living under a rock. I never gave their first songs a proper chance, but because I like Gachinko de Ikou so much I decided to downloaded all their pvs. Their other songs rock too! :cow: I hope this unit will be around for a long time.

@BarrieV : i hope you have downloaded their album too ! it's so great ! there are different style of songs from rockish to cute passing by melodic jpop which i think it's great ! i think one of my fav song from this album is Hoshi no Hitsuji Tachi, you can really hear their voice well and they sing in a different way , it's like water~

過去、ピザーラのテレビCMには、ほしのあき、加藤あい、サエコ、オリエンタルラジオなど現在も活躍する有名タレントが多数CMデビューしています。
ハロー！プロジェクトの人気グループ「Buono!」にとっては、初のテレビCM出演となります。
「Buono!」は、ハロー！プロジェクトの「Berryz工房」と「℃-ute」の選抜メンバー、
嗣永桃子（つぐながももこ 16歳）、夏焼雅（なつやきみやび 16歳）、鈴木愛理（すずきあいり 14歳）の3人により2007年に結成されました。
11月12日には「Buono!」5枚目のシングル「ロッタラロッタラ」がリリースされます。

I bought Buoni's first single because that is my favorite from them. I did like the song even before I saw the subtitled version on YouTube, but after ibsaw the subs I knew it's my number one encourageing song. I hope they are going to release many nice songs.

--"The long awaited 2nd album 'Buono!2' is done!"
Momoko: When I first heard the complete product I got really excited! I loved all of the songs before we even started recording, and after hearing our voices for real it just got even more exciting.
Nowadays whenever I'm going somewhere I'm having this album on loop!
Miyabi: "This is completely different from the usual Buono!" was my first thought. Comparing it to the first album I think it has a lot more mature and cooler songs as opposed to poppy and cute.
Airi: Compared to "Café Buono!" I think it has a lot of softer songs. The song called "Goal" is a bit on the soft side but yet rock, and it's personally one of my favorites.
--"Tell us about your individual main songs and its points"
Momoko: To put it in one word: "I NEED YOU" is kind of strange! (lol) There are two different kinds of melodies, the verses are calm and from the chorus it's instantly rock.
The song is about the feelings of a girl who gets seperated from her loved one. First impressions might be a little confusing at first, but as you listen to it more it'll grow on you!
Miyabi: Up until now we've been singing rockier songs, but "Vanishing Point" is really grown-up.
Airi: "OVER THE RAINBOW" is a calmer song. I'd like to point out the part before the last chorus where the pace picks up! The atmosphere is a bit different, and it'd be nice if the lyrics are conveyed.
--"Which parts of 'Buono!2' do you feel are 'delicious'?"
Momoko: The very first song "Early Bird" is a good condidate to becoming Buono!'s regular menu. (lol) It has a lot of lines, especially my own line towards the end "Okiro!" is really cute so please look out for it. (lol) I'd be happy if people also used it as a method to wake up~
Miyabi: The new album has a lot of different types of songs. It's not only the usual rock, but the more adult-like Buono! as well.
Airi: The jacket this time has two different patterns and constumes, both of them have a different feeling to them, so do check that out.
--"Now then, tell us about each other's 'delicious' parts?"
Momoko: Since we're talking "delicious", I'd like to express this using ingredients for oden!
Airi is hanpen - fluffy, pure white and the refreshing type.
Miya is konnyaku - the type of konnyaku which gets a stronger flavor the more you cut it.
And myself kinchakubukuro - for some reason complexely built up, and surprisingly really down-to-earth. (lol)
Combine the three and you have a "Buono!" dish which pours out flavor the longer you cook it~
Miyabi: All three of us have outgoing personalities.
Airi: Momo has a one and only character that no one else can copy!
Miya seems grown-up whenever she's singing, but in fact she's incredibly cute and girly!
I'm not sure about myself... I'm often told that I eat everything with a delicious face on, so I guess in a way that's a "delicious" part? (lol)
--"Let's conclude this with a message!"
Momoko: The new album has a lot of our feelings stuffed into it. Listen to it a lot and do some passionate singing at karaoke and such! Buono! will still keep on running, so keep on supporting us!
Miyabi: I'd really like everyone to listen to "Buono!2" a lot! I think you'll be able to discover a new side of us. Just keep on repeating and looping it. (lol) Also, do come visit us at our lives and events!

I've been looping Buono!2 now for a while, but I'm still not sure if I like it better than Café Buono! :lol: Goal is so much stronger than any of the songs on the first album, though. And I didn't realize they had individual songs until the Hybrid Punch concert.

Well I like the answers. Them talking about other members is always interesting.
I'm also not sure if I like Buono!2 better than Café Buono! but some songs are pretty neat nevertheless.
And about the hybrid punch concert. I would like to watch a DVD before they perform in Sweden so I can try to get used to some dance routines in advance.
I bought a couple of unofficial shots of Momo from that concert too but waiting before getting them shipped till I decided what Berryz con. set to get to save costs.

Airi: It's really fast-paced and aggressive. Not only that, but there's so many lines. That's why it doesn't really roll off the tongue...
Momoko: For example Airi goes "omidetou" instead of "omedetou". (lol)

Airi: The recording this time was a real obstacle.
Momoko Everyone kept twisting their tongues, which just made everything hard to catch. (lol) Though, Miya managed to sing everything smoothly. I didn't know she was a rapid talker.
--"Where are the main points of the song?"
Momoko: The fast pace is the first impression, but with the lyrics "Wouldn't you like being congratulated on coming to this world?" appearing, I couldn't help but feel empathetic since we received the song around my birthday. (lol)
Airi: The easily conveyed straight-foward lyrics, though I wouldn't really see it as a support song. It's just like talking. I can even imagine this coming from a girl at school (i.e a girl saying the lines that appear in the song). Like "No worries!". I'm like that sometimes myself. I believe the lyrics are something the listener can relate to.
Miyabi Buono! have a lot of rockier songs, but the new single is the most aggressive one yet. It's got an image where you just imagine going all out on stage, so I'm excited about performing this live, and when that time comes I'll show off the rock side of Buono! and headbang with all I've got.
--"Speaking of live, you're scheduled for Stockholm Japan Expo '09! Thoughts on your first performance in Europe?"
Miyabi: I was really shocked when I got a mail that mentioned us going to Sweden. I was like "....... Awesome!" (lol)
Airi: I'm deeply moved. Ever since it was decided that we were heading for Sweden, I've been checking pamphlets at travel agencies and my mom looked up stuff for me at the internet. I found out that Stockholm was one of the model cities for "Kiki's delivery service" which I love, so with that in mind as well I'm just deeply moved.
--"Any resolutions before the live?"
Airi: I'll be sure to teach the people in Sweden of Buono!'s charm!
Miyabi: Even with the language barrier, I think the melodies and our performance will be conveyed!
Momoko: Since it's our first time in Sweden and everything, I want the locals to leave with a good impression of us such as "Buono! are cute!" and "I like this song!", also for the fans in Japan we'll do our best bringing back some fun stories that we can report about!
--"Now then, since we're on the subject, tell us about your individual unforgettable trips."
Momoko: A few years ago during the summer my family and I went to Nikkou by car. Then, in the morning a deer showed up on the road, which I thought was for my sake. Not only did we see deers in front of our eyes, but monkeys as well, just like a zoo. (lol)
Airi: As for something recent, my dad had a golf tournament in Hokkaidou. We weren't there for the purpose of watching him play, but the three of us went to Hokkaidou. Just feeling that we were at the same place was enough. It was a while ago since our last family trip, but the soft cream and chou creme that we ate at the milk factory were delicious. The corn were also really good... I'm just mentioning a bunch of food now, but that's what was most memorable. (lol)
Miyabi: I have really fond memories of our trip to Okinawa as Berryz Koubou. The sea was gorgeous and we took a lot of pictures. At the time of the trip I shared a room with Chinami, and even though the day had ended we just kept talking about all the fun stuff we did. Since we were at Okinawa because of work I didn't get to enter the water, so someday I'd like to head there during my own time and swim, do things I didn't get to do and just enjoy myself.

These PVs are the first H!P release in a long time that's giving me such a negative reaction and I'll tell you why.
This is the biggest problem I have with them.
Initially I thought Zassou no Uta was a little bland and repetitive.
Compared to JUICY HE@RT, it's a lot better in comparison.

Some people will be overjoyed at their obvious higher-budget, but not me.
It's just so much conspicuous consumption. Adding more cost without adding value.
"How can we make our video more obviously high budget?"
"I know! Let's put in a shitload of cars and use foreigners as extras in the band!"
or
"I know! Let's rent a bigass boat and a couple super-expensive cars for the girls to get out of!"
Stuff like this is spending more money just for the sake of spending more money.
I will say, however, that the girls themselves (mostly) look great. Miya's Mickey Mouse hair notwithstanding.
In their effort to be more high-budget and more cool, it just feels like these PVs have lost all the fun in Buono.
Maybe they'll grow on me over time or after I see them performed, but like I said, this is the worst first impression I've had in a long time for the PVs.

Good points, doc. My concern on this tape was they put the girls in the "super rich / super elite" environment. The appeal of the H!P stars is that they are girls next door and understand what it is like for everday people, because they are just like us, except way more kawaii.
Making them part of the world of the uber rich, somehow hurts the connection. However, noted that while on the luxury boat they still ordered pIZZA LA!

I might be wrong, but I think dolce usually didn't appear in PVs. I think they'll be seen at the concert again.
I like the luxurious theme although I don't think it fits to the supposedtobelooking-rockish covers and the shiny jackets look rather cheap (like what I stereotypically expect from wannabe east european/russian women) but looks cute on momochi o/. So yeah, it's interesting and certainly something different~
After many listens I like JUICY HE@RT better than Zassou no uta and of the third I know even know what it's spelled like :lol: I don't like it too much but it's also not really bad.
For me it's good when the songs follow the typical idol song pattern because I expect them :lol: especially when upbeat songs don't have this almost vocal only part near the end I'm easily disappointed :ph43r:

which could be paatii or pātī
in romanization but certainly wouldn't be just pati....
Regarding Japanese Onomatopoeia- suffice to say, there are a lot of them, and as the good professor Slack has pointed out, there are alternative choices of romanization.
I think Ai Takahashi sums it up best: "It's crazy!"

I just watched their latest dvd mag, which was divided in two parts (or three if we count the making of), part one at Yomiuri Land, and the "cooking" party for Valentine's day...can't really call that cooking can we :nervous

This time I'm not the first to post but I also wanted to put in my 2 cents’ worth.
Of course it's about Buono magazine vol.7.
As a die-hard fan of Buono! I couldn’t go past this. But please don’t ask me why I missed the previous 6 volumes. I’m new to Haro-pro (aka H!P). I came across a clip by C-ute and immediately got attached to it. It happened last year. So I’m still learning about MM, C-ute, Buono! and other groups and members that comprise Hello Project.
First of all, I have to say that I greatly enjoyed watching this DVD. It’s sweet and funny. Pure cuteness!
So I thought I absolutely have to write some sort of an overview. And of course I highly recommend this disc to all fans of Buono!.
Let's get started.
Airi starts joking almost as soon as the three board a cable-railroad car (jap. “gondola”).
I think this is what Saki talked about in her interview (see Nakajima Saki thread for details).
(Airi) There’s a church!
Is it today that we go to church?

And then they arrive at the amusement park (it’s Yomiuri Land).
The first attraction is a room with obstacles. You have to avoid lasers and get over obstacles as soon as possible. There are 5 rooms and 3 are with lasers. You have 2 minutes to clear the stage. Each hit of a laser brings you a 30 seconds penalty.
Airi is the first to try. And she manages to finish in 1 minutes and 7 seconds without touching any lasers.
The next turn is Miya's.
She touches 2 lasers in a row and loses 30 seconds on each one.
And soon she loses completely.
(Miya) It’s difficult!
The last one is Momo.
Momo is no better than Miya.
Apparently, Airi is a genius.
Airi hands her ticket to the operator and her result is added to the computer database. We learn that Airi enters the local hall of fame. Her result is the 4th best. She’s behind the 3rd place by mere 0.3 seconds. Can you imagine this? Airi set a record without any practice.
And the top result so far is 1 minute sharp.

The next attraction is a roller-coaster. Momo sends Airi and Miya to board the train and appears as if she has nothing to do with it.
(Airi) Momo, what's wrong?
(Momo) I’m a week girl so I pass.
(Airi) OK, we got it.
Momo's looking at her colleagues from the ground.
(Momo) Awesome. I'd never have enough courage to ride it.
But this attraction is for children. The height of this mini roller-coaster is quite small.
The second attraction is called a jumping frog.
It looks like a catapult (cat-a-pult). It’s something that Sayaka (from AKB) fears most.
The operator says that the trio can’t ride together because if they do the bench won’t be balanced properly. So Momo is left alone.
There are huge versions of this attraction whose pillar is over 20 meters high. And this one is for children.
But Momo’s screaming despite the small height. Airi and Miya go into ‘rofl’ mode.
Now we have a break.
The girls go to the souvenir shop.
And it's better to have some snack. They eat something sweet.
The last attraction is another roller-coaster.
Momo is forced to ride it.
And look at this. They sing a children song that is almost a century old. You know, we read a text about it during Japanese classes so I remembered the words. The author of it had a tragic fate, actually.
The first verse is like this
シャボン玉飛んだ
屋根まで飛んだ
屋根まで飛んで
壊れて消えた
風々吹くな
シャボン玉飛ばそ
The soap bubble got flying
And it flew to the rooftop
It reached the rooftop and burst

This trip consists of 2 laps. When they go past the boarding platform Momo begs to put her down from the train but it is impossible.
On the second lap they sing “Rottara-rottara” (supposed to mean “lots of love”)
All in all, the ride left Momo in depressed mood.

They eat roasted/skewered meat (barbecue, shashlik) and discuss the attractions.
Momo says she had fun but it was embarrassing. The attractions are for children.
After this they are back at home.
It’s time for a pajama party! Yay!
Besides, we have a kitchen and the list of evening activities includes a cooking session. Well, in truth, it’s not really cooking but making some kind of waffle cakes for St. Valentine’s day.
(TL NOTE. By the way, Happy Valentines. It’s today!)
Also, about earlier, I forgot to mention that after visiting each attraction they threw dice (actually, one die) marked with numbers from minus 3 to 3. This way they earned bonuses which could be converted into ingredients for making cakes.
The best scene is when they ‘fixed’ the results of theirs throws during the last segment of this competition. You should watch it yourself.
So, after fixing the results Momo takes the first place with 10 points, Airi closely behind with 9 and Miya is the last one with only 5 points.

Now they discuss what ingredients to use.
(Айри) Green tea powder!

(Момо) Chocolate!
(Мия) Caramel!
It’s supposed to mean chocolate with caramel.
But Airi says she absolutely needs green tea powder and brown sugar syrup.

Then they enumerate a long list of even more ingredients.
One word is misread. It's not azarashi (a seal, as in an animal) but it’s supposed to be arazan (sugar dragee for decorating cakes).

And I suppose that when saying green tea Airi meant waffles with green tea filling (a type of Japanese sweets).

Now they slice and chop the waffles with a plastic knife.
Airi comes up with another gag.
Waffle in Japanese is “waffuru”. Airi looks at the waffle and says “Wa! Furu!” (lit. Wow! It’s old (i.e. stale))
In the end each girl came with something like this. Sliced waffles with nuts and strawberry.

Now the staff votes for these improvised cakes.
Airi gets 8 votes, Miya and Momo 6 and 4 respectively.
Airi's prize is a whipped cream can.
They eat the chopped waffles themselves.
It takes them some 15 minutes. Momo is very enthusiastic about piling whipped cream over her cake.

Now the last segment is the “making of”.
We learn that Airi and Miyabi actually rode the huge roller-coaster. I think it was the right choice now that they came to Yomiuri Land.
By the way, this amusement park is located near Tokyo, in Kawasaki city (Kanagawa pref.). It’s accessible either by train or a car or a special bus that goes from Shinjuku to Yomiuri Land.

In the cake cooking segment the girls mention Pink dot. cafe. I didn't quite know exactly what it is and I wondered where it's located. In fact, the boss of our local fans forum visited Japan back in 2009. He shared some photos with me.
Here they are. The interior features displays with Buono PVs. And the promo sign above the screen says “Buono! loves Pink dot waffles, too!”

My crazy prediction: what if, at the Budokan concert, Airi and Momo announce their graduation and Miyabi's new group is revealed to be inheriting the Buono name???
To be honest, it's kinda hard for me to really get into Buono because their style of rock is my least favorite style of rock--I'm more a fan of the aggressive mid-tempo funk/hip-hop rhythm style rock from the '90s and 2000s--but it's still nice to see them active because their songs are still catchy and I love all three of the girls.
If anything I like their early work more than their latter work...
