Thank you for your report, Shumatsu Samurai
I totally enjoyed reading everything.
Did you take note while watching the play or you just remember everything .. if so, darn .. your memory is
Thanks for asking about the DVD release ... I hope that there're many people are asking too so they could reconsider about releasing it in the future.
No, I didn't take notes. But most of what I wrote was only indirectly related to the play itself. If I had had the intention to take notes or to try to record some stuff I would have went twice. Once to check everything out and to actually enjoy the play and then once more for the "work" but I had neither time nor money for that.
Concerning the DVD release, I think it's possible. I remember seeing my professors collection of theater plays once and there were tons of similar stuff. Also, the availability of Okitegami on tape is somewhat reassuring. It shows that some companies will put some effort into making as much money as possible. Seeing how it was only performed for just over a week (actually ends today) and only in this one theater in Tokyo, it would make sense to release it for those who couldn't see it because of that.
I'm glad it wasn't my biased mind that thought Miki's acting is great from watching the news, but the people (elder), who went to the play, are actually liked it
Miki got herself some new fans after the play
The HG's foo part to the audience .. I wonder if that's scripted .. or he just wants to make people laugh from the serious play
But yeah, it's annoying if he did that just to make people remember who he is >_<
I'm sure it was scripted. He's not famous enough to be able to improvise something like this without getting punished. Also, as I said, it is a typical (yet annoying) custom in japanese entertainment to incorportate these types of catchphrases / special moves and such. If Kojima Yoshio were to be an actor in this, I'm sure they had him do his routine too....
Oh .. and thanks for sharing the pics
It's nice to see the place and what's there,
Those huge pics/posters of Miki are .. so beautiful
Again ... thanks for your report, it cheered me up a lot
Oh by the way, the song Miki sings is Habanera
Ah, thanks for that. I knew it was familiar. But to be honest, I have trouble enjoying ( = staying awake) opera.
Those huge posters sure are great but they didn't sell them.
Nicely done Shumatsu, you lucky bastage you.
Thanks
