Ya know all the fans should collect money to have wells built in Africa so people can have clean water to drink, then have the well(s) named after SNSD and painted with SNSD designs. If Ainori (RIP) did it, they can too....

if she's some sort of huge fan of Toy Story and Mickey Mouse I'd understand those toy gifts.. but if she isn't then those are kind of weird gifts to give a grown woman.

I know Soshified donated close to $6000 for fresh water wells earlier this year but I don't know if the wells were painted.

Their fan sites always seem to choose a struggling charity to volunteer and donate to in addition to the gifts for their birthdays. I think last year Yuri's fan sites got together to help a shelter for young girls that was lacking workers and supplies.

Aren't like half her possessions Mickey/Mini mouse related?

She seems to like that stuff. In general they actually seem to like the toys and weird gifts fans give them more than the big stuff.

okay, if that's true then i understand. i just wasn't sure if she liked that stuff. have SNSD actually commented on fan gifts? i've seen on soshified there are pics of them wearing some gifts or using some, but I haven't heard them actually commenting on them before.

K-pop fans are crazy like this. They buy their idols computers, cameras, game consoles, expensive headphones, Louis Vuitton bags, etc. Oh, and don't forget the newspaper ads! They did some charities too but shitloads of money still went to gifts and bulk purchasing of their CDs. When I see these gifts, I never go OMG how nice of them, I go Fuck why am I not a famous idol!

I do enjoy looking at them though. I especially enjoy kwonyuri125's gifts, some are smart and fun. Last year, they gave her a brand new 10k won bill, the bill number was her birthday. No idea how the heck they found that.

Oh, I think Yuri LOVES Mickey. She bought a bunch herself when they went to NY. And I see she's been getting Mickey plush since 2007. You can see she wears some Mickey clothes still these days too.
And I'm much more older than her but, damn, I want that dino doll!!!
