I really like her voice. It's just that she's not very consistent and can't really control her singing. Her range is pretty limited too, makes it hard for her to sing her own group's songs.

I'm still alive!

- yuri used to go to her friend's house and sit anywhere, not minding their family, and practice stretching. if she was wearing her school uniform, she would ask her friend for pants and stretch

- her high school teacher (3rd year) said yuri was a bright and cheerful, polite, and hard working student

- he also said he thought yuri was a calm/quiet student, but saw a different side of her once. When her school had a festival for 1st&2nd year students, she came up to him and cutely asked him to buy her something to eat

Yuri is More Into Back Muscles than Her Album

Girls’ Generation’s Yuri said that she’s into ‘building back muscles’ these days.

Yuri turned in her own resume, written carefully in her neat handwriting, to the producers of Mnet’s Wide Entertainment News.

Her ’10 interest these days’ were: ‘Know thyself!’ ‘work on Spider Man [dance]’, ‘family trip’, ‘building back muscles’, ‘train mind and body, be a yoga person’, ‘I am a college student’, ‘collect high quality chocolates’, ‘when do I do my homework’, ‘I can’t go to class again!’ and ‘I want to go to school’.

The most eye-catching item on the list was ‘building back muscles’. Yuri has been given the nickname ‘black pearl’ by her fans for her dark skin, slim body and healthy image, and now she seems to be trying to take the image to a new level by even building her ‘back muscles’.

Another interesting answer was to ‘train mind and body, be a yoga person′, which hinted that Yuri′s great body came from yoga (as avid fans may have already known).

Yuri revealed that she was proud she was in good shape, saying that the moment when she thought she looked the most beautiful to herself was “when only the orange pin light is on in a dark practice room or yoga studio and [she] can see [her] silhouette.”

Girls’ Generation released its third studio album The Boys on October 19. The album is being loved by fans all over the world, but though Yuri likes seeing herself onstage, she also expressed her wish to enjoy her normal college life.

The interests which read ‘I am a college student’, ‘when do I do my homework’, ‘I can’t go to class again!’ and ‘I want to go to school’ showed her desire to put aside her superstardom for a few moments, and attend school like her peers.
