Got a free 1 year norton licence from a friend so it'll do for now even though I know its not the best out there.

Yeah, that seems to be a popular combination. I do the same, and use Spybot Search and Destroy to "immunize" my hosts file.

Full version of Avast! on my desktop and Norton on my laptop. Liking the Avast! better than the norton. I think norton takes too much of the memory and slows the computer.

I've used Norton, nod32, kaspersky, and avg. nod32 and kaspersky are tied at the top but right now i'm using kaspersky.

Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes. It's pretty good. I use them mostly because they're free and I'm cheap.
