I saw the Japanese version too.

Man, I was rofl with my waffles for the entire time...it was just nuts!!!

So an american version is coming out? Yeah, I suppose its worth seeing. I cant believe Clea Duval was in the first one. That took me by surprise.

This should probably be in the "Entertainment Forum" since this is the American bastardized version of the original Japanese movie.

The DOMO, at least the way I've always interpreted it, is specifically for things related to Japanese TV shows and Japanese Movies.

I never liked the fact that Sarah Michelle Gellar is the lead, but she does okay in the movie, I guess :neutral:

I always tend to find the Japanese version of these kind of American horror re-makes better and scarier, but The Grudge 2 could change my mind, for once. I have a feeling it'll be better than the first US version.

That might've been cause I saw the american one in theatres and the japanese one on dvd

It was. But it wasn't written by him. Same goes for the american The Grudge 2. However, the third american grudge film (announced so soon) is both written and directed by the japanese director.

i saw the japanese vers, of both ju-on n juon2 before i saw the Grudge. i watched the Grudge mostly because of Sarah Michelle, and i actually went to the cinemax twice watching the Grudge coz of Sarah and of course the movie is great. so i cant wait for the Grudge 2, its gonna premiere Oct 13. but this one seems sad coz Sarah Michelle its gonna die in this, i saw the cm for this already and its a big spoiler all right, they showed a lot. well i cant wait for Oct 13, i saw so much already and its gonna premiere oct 13 so far away, but its a bit earlier than The Grudge which premiere Oct 25 2004.

and yeah edison chen is in the movie, so earlier this year (i think, dont quite remember) he when to Japan to get himself prepare before filming.

Grrr!! What I hate is when there is a Japanese movie there are Korean or Chinese actors in it...ITS JUST ANNOYING! SOME PEOPLE DO NOTICE, YA KNOW!!!!

Back on topic, wow...the grudge freaked me. My favourite thing is to call friends and make that weird aaaa noise

Still, the grudge doesnt top the Ring (Im speaking about Japanese versions because they are better)

What I liked about the Japanese version of the grudge was the chapters!! The american version didnt have that! It was confusing but it all made sense when you thought about it on the way home. My favourite would be the chapter about Izumi, gosh!! how scary would that be!!! Seeing the dead friends face through the news paper.. aahhh!!!

The Grudge 2 hits US theatres this Friday, 10.13!!

Anyone going to see it? I know I DEFINITELY am!^^

*loves scary movies and this one looks like it's going to be scary as sh*t!*

I saw the Japanese version and thought it was actually more strange than scary... I'm hoping this one will make a little more sense LOL

I have never watched either versions (Japanese and English) of the movie, but I have heard alot of it from my friends who have watched it.

Right now there is a Grudge 2 movie poster on the bus station next to my apartment, every morning (6am) when I go to work I have to look at that poster once (and as well coming back home).
Freaking scares me!

Sad that the only reason I'll go to see this movie is for Misako(from AAA)'s 5 minutes of screentime xD
