Japanese reggae dancers
« on: April 01, 2007, 06:51:16 PM »
Sup all.  Glad to see the forum back.  I think I'll begin to share some Japanese reggae dancer stuff I own (About 50 DVDs currently).  I'll start with caps/pics of some of my favorite dancers just to provide a little sneak preview (since pictures are so easy and quick for me to share).  If it seems that these are appealing to members in this forum, I'll upgrade from pictures to videos  ;)

Introducing first, Japanese reggae dancer Megu.  Her, along with her partner, have been reggae dancing since college.  Megu has competed in reggae dance competitions for a couple years now and is one of the better known dancers in Japan.

Hope to hear some feedback  ;D

You're absolutely right.  But videos of alot of stuff along the lines of what I've posted so far would take me alot of time to rip and encode (especially on my dying out laptop).  But I will do so if there is a good amount of interest expressed.  For now, I'll share scanned pictures and self-taken captures to see what type of interest is aroused.

Introducing Chie.  She has been dancing in the dancehall reggae scene since the early 2000s.  Chie, along with her partner, run a school to teach other aspiring women how to reggae dance.

Let's help keep this movement alive...

Kiyo, one of my alltime faves in the scene ;)  In fact, that clip is from one of my favorite jreggae dancer DVDs.  60 minutes of quality.  Kiyo also came in 3rd place in the 2003 international reggae dance queen competition held in Jamaica, and is one of the big names in Japan spreading dancehall reggae culture.

Introducing, Japanese reggae dancer Kumico.  She is my 2nd favorite reggae dancer ever.  Her swagger, her energy, and her personality spills into every single performance (I own MANY) I've had the pleasure of seeing.  She incorporates many b-girl elements into her dance routines.  She use to have a partner until about a year ago, but now she does her thing solo (which is better in my opinion, since she was much more skilled than her partner).

Keep the posts coming

Picture can't see much of their sexy movement. You gotta upload them... and i am not even talking about Youtube which has pathetic quality. Put them in the tracker or something.

You are definately right my friend.  The video rips/encodes are works in progress.  Think of the pictures as appetizers being given out to see if there is a decent amount of people interested in a full meal ;)  That's why I am monitoring the posts as I up more pictures to see what type of responses, and how many, come out of them.
