Title: Vote for Best Kpop Song From First Half of 2010 [WINNER ANNOUNCED!]

With Music Bank's special mid year show on next where, its time for JPHIP to pick the best songs of 2010 so far.
Vote for FIVE songs that you think were major stand outs this year, as long as they were released on January 1st 2010 or later. With a bunch of world cup songs, stunning comebacks and some newbie debuts, who do YOU think came out on top?

Rank your 5 votes in order of which you think is the best to the 5th best... Those ranked as #1 will receive 5 points, while those ranked as #5 will receive 1 point.

Example:
1) shirenu & the Poupee girls - Bringin' Fashion back!
2) Masa - Bald Head, Bald Heart
3) daigong - I like it RAWWWWWWWW
4) tama mama - Babies in a Blender, Your Heart in my Hand

Voting closes 12am July 1st EST (unless I end up extending for some reason) and a few lucky people will randomly be picked to receive any Kpop CD of their choice (provided its still available :lol: )

I looked up almost every song from the list on youtube XD Tho didn't listen to most for more than a few seconds. DANG most Kpop is so not for me

#1 C.N. Blue - 외톨이야 (I'm A Loner)
I've only heard this song once before probably in some radio vid of SNSD or KARA having fun to this song, and when I just opened it on youtube I went like "OMG WHERE HAVE I HEARD THIS BEFORE AH THIS SONG IS AWESOME" lol. After listening to this I don't even want to see more videos, or my mood will go down. My ranking is DONE. Final.
#2 KARA (카라) - 루팡- (Lupin)
#3 Gummy (거미) - 사랑은 없다 (There Is No Love)
Aside from the autotune in the intro (why? I almost stopped listening because of that) the rest of the song has lovely vocals and stood out among the plastic pop

2. SNSD - "Boys and Girls" Hard for me to pick between this ☆★☆, Echo and Forever. :o

3. T-Ara - "I'm Really Hurt" I have heard the future. O_O

4. f(x) - "Mr. Boogie" Why does SM hate this song!!

5. Sunny - "Your Doll" hnnnnnnnnnng.. So cute >_<

Honorable mention to Kara's - "Tasty Love" How can anyone not love a grooovin to the oldies feel?

2. 2AM - I Did Wrong (one of the few songs I really like from them, probably cuz it's not a slow ballad)
3. Wonder Girls - 2 Different Tears (Welcome back! :D)
4. 4Minute - HuH (Hit Your Heart) (I like the 'wiggity wiggity wack' part in Sohyun's rap, I know that's not the lyric but I say it that way lol XD)
5. Beast - Shock (random pick lol, actually it's not a bad song)

I really don't know about my order, but thats my top 5 without being biased... When autotune is used the right way, such as in T-ara's IGCBOY, I thinks brilliant work!
I love the layers in NU ABO, and Lupin has a great bridge which really makes the whole song... I think Magic is pure genius and Round & Round shocked me with my instant love for it and again, the use of good auto-tune and layers.

Now surprises really that those three were the top three, all are very popular at jphip, but I don't think anyone saw T-ara coming... we all love the song and when it was voted for, it was made the top spots of peoples 5 (only once was it not voted at #1 or #2... it was #3 that time lol) but I think a battle between KARA & SNSD was what was expected.

KARA BEAT SNSD BY 15 points!!!!!!! I am sorry guys, y'all know I love SNSD, but KARA really deserved this one. To see how far they've come not only in Kpop as a whole but at jphip itself, really touches my heart :heart:

T-ara also placed higher than SNSD for their second song in the top 10 with 'I'm Really Hurt' beating 'Oh!'... T-ara is the next big thing here at jphip, WATCH OUT!!!
Gummy too, I haven't heard that song, but I love seeing a solo artist stick it to the big groups :D

But yay to KARA! T-ara was so close. It almost reminded me of the close call votings on the music show and not forgetting that technical error incident that made T-ara think they've won but it was actually Kara. >_< LoL I'm also surprised of how high T-ara made it in the ranks, both beating SNSD's 2 songs. I felt "Gee" and "Tell me your wish" were much better songs than the ones this year. And the nation's girl group Wonder Girls' comeback wasn't enough to get them up the ranks.

Congrats to the winners too, I forgot this was also a contest. I just wanted to vote. :P
