Description from Wiki -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Running_Man_%28TV_series%29 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Running_Man_%28TV_series%29)

Running Man (Korean: 런닝맨) is a South Korean variety show; a part of SBS's Good Sunday lineup, along with Heroes (영웅호걸). It was first aired on July 11, 2010. This show is classified as an "urban action variety"; a never-before-seen new genre of variety shows and will greatly involve the participation of viewers. The MCs and guests are locked in a landmark during closed hours and are required to leave before opening hours. The first team to leave will win, while the losing team will be punished in the landmark.[1][2] It has garnered attention as being the come-back program for Yu Jae-suk, the main MC of the program, after leaving Good Sunday's Family Outing in February 2010.

Starring:
Yu Jae-suk (X man, infinity challenge, Family outing, etc)
Ji Suk-jin
Kim Jong-kook
Ha-ha
Lee Kwang-su
Song Joong-ki
Gary (Leessang)
Song Ji-hyo (The girl from movie: Sex is Zero)
Lizzy (After School) (Ep 8 onwards)

There's a subbing group called isubs-squad (http://isubs-squad.com/ (http://isubs-squad.com/)) They focus mainly on running man and suddenly started doing Family Outing Season 2. Heres a listing of Episodes, special guests, location and their subbing progress (ep 16 with Yuri is already out).

It's an amazing show and very unique, I've enjoyed watching each release (best 1 with Goo Hara imo), this is considered the Next Xman and it has 2 of the original family outing members Yu Jae Suk and Kim Jong Ki (considered a Spartan you'll find out why later).

Where to watch:
http://www.dailymotion.com/isubs (http://www.dailymotion.com/isubs)

To download their episodes you have to be a member on their forum, considering all the hard work gone into it, its worth it and share the love  especially gettin to see your favourite Idols and celebrities in some episodes  :inlove: It is the next big thing in for korean TV, I put this topic up because I'm a big fan of the show and noticed there wasn't an article on this forum. Hope u guys watch it and enjoy as much as I have. let the discussion begin!

This show is pretty good. Watched the Jessica nickhun episodes.
the one with jang dong min and lizzy must be a riot. he is one funny guy!
Kim joong kook is great! he is totally spartan.

the Jessica nichkhun episodes are already subbed by rdrsubs.org, and the first of the Yuri episodes is a collab between rdrsubs.org and isubs is already available.
thanks for posting this topic! :]

okay until now this the best korean variety show that ive been watched, its defeat of familly outing
the loveline that gary tied to make with ji hyo is really hilarious..
jaesuk definitely a good mc...
and the brother role of joongkook , gary and haha also interesting...alaso it showned that korean is really appreciated seniority
suk jin and kwang so also make this show more interesting.... this two guys filled the part of acward character in this show..one is thesenior and one is the rookies...but both of them is syill ackward in variety show, but that thing is the one that make the more interesting
and about joong ki he filled the role of face and the brain in this show

The preview of Ep 19 (or 17 i forgot) looks amazing, a 7 vs 1 Kim Jong Kook Spartan in Chase hahaha.

I feel abit sorry for them sometimes, by doing the show it'd mess up their sleeping pattern and continue with their career activities. lifes hard for a korean celeb.

The members really play a unique role and really go well with each other i think, Gwang Soo's made up stories with his straight face was hilarious!

I agree, it is a good show, its actucally the first of its kinda in Korea (maybe and a very generous maybe), first internationally for its style of show. They've had top celebs on the show aswell, so i believe it'll last for a long time. they've already had 2 members as star guests on their previous epiosdes! I really would love to see Big Bang's Dae Sung on with Jae suk to reunite the stupid brothers combo hahaha.

This show is probably among the best korean variety shows I've watched, the cast and guests are always so entertaining and hilarious. I always find myself waiting anxiously for the next episode to be subbed, which isn't so bad thanks to isubs.

Favourite celebs are probably Gwang Soo and Jong Kook, but by a very thin margin as all of them are pretty great to watch. Gwang Soo's framing and made up stories with his straight face are so funny, and Jong Kook's sparta mode induces fear into every other member of the show which is awesome. Also Jong Kook and the boys is the best group on the show, similar to a villain and his henchmen, hahah.

Eagerly awaiting the upcoming episodes, hope this show lasts for a while! :D

Wow, I haven't heard about this show, but the past few years, I really haven't been that into variety shows XD

I LOVED X-men though. It was such a great and interesting show and I was so bummed when it went off the air. So I'll definitely have to check this out.

I found Family Outing a good subtitute for X-man, the beginning took a while to get use to and the chemistry between everyone is hilarous, my favourite is Clumsy Chunhee who appeared in running man ep 2/3 !

Sorry guys haven't updated the guest list (will do soon), but fresh off the press the latest guests of running man is Korea's and Japans biggest groups !!!

TVXQ's yunho and ChangmiN on RUNNING MAN!  Can't wait for this episode, Yunho was in family outing, x-man and this ! hahah

I watched the first couple of episodes. I'm glad the changed the format after the 1st episode, it seemed really long. Maybe I'll try catching up with it now. And Lizzy is added too, bonus!

cant wait for the dumb and dumber episode either.  Last episode I watched was 30, was funny at the end, when saw the assistants practicing the jump rope, and that it looks like they want to do a challenge for the running man team that can't be beaten.

Park Ye Jin reunites with “Family Outing” castmates for “Running Man”
[/b]

Actress Park Ye Jin will be reuniting with her family members from SBS’s “Family Outing” for the first time in a year!

According to SBS, Park Ye Jin recently took part in the recording for “Running Man” and was able to meet up with former castmates Yoo Jae Suk and Kim Jong Kook.

On the day of the recording, she commented, “I really missed everyone, but everyone was so busy so I never had the opportunity to see them. It feels great meeting again like this here. I was really excited all day at the thought of seeing the oppas again. It’s nice seeing PD Jo Hyo Jin and the other staff members as well.”

Kim Jong Kook added, “It definitely feels great seeing her again after concluding ‘Family Outing.’ I’m starting to feel nostalgic. Since Park Ye Jin is a talented actress, I hope she continues her streak of success. I want all of the ‘Family Outing’ members to do well.”

Their episode will broadcast on March 27th.

Running Man is really one of my favorite shows of all time (not only in K-Variety). But even as a avid fan I have to admit that is is getting a LITTLE lame.

That means, that what used to be heavily action- and suspensedriven has kind of become a show where games are forced on the members. The earlier episodes had me on the edge of my seat with the most simple games, while today it keeps getting more and more complicated.

Whichever new ideas they bring, I don't think they will ever excite me again as much as the earlier episodes did.

@opfer - Yes! I love the show too, and I do agree that the games/events that they do lately aren't as captivating as the earlier episodes. It's still a great show and all, and I love how you see the bond between the cast has grown since day one.

Anyways, this is one of the few things I look forward to in the week.

Quote from: allkpop
Actor Lee Kwang Soo, well-known through SBS‘s ‘Running Man‘, recently apologized to an elementary school fan for the character he has become known for in the show.

On August 30th, Lee Kwang Soo tweeted, “I’m.. I’m sorry, student Kim Tae Yeon“, along with a hilarious picture of an elementary school fill-in-the-blank test.

On her test, the young elementary school student Kim Tae Yeon was supposed to write in the description of the animal movements (in Korean) when they move. She answered correctly for ‘turtle’ (slowly slowly), ‘rabbit’ (hop hop), and other animals. However, when it came to writing in the descriptive words for giraffes, she hilarious wrote, “betray betray”, basing her answer off of Lee Kwang Soo’s nickname of giraffe on the variety show as well as his well-known ‘Icon of Betrayal’ image.

Netizens responded, “Lee Kwang Soo, apologize!“, “That is so cute“, “This is hilarious“, and “You’re popular among elementary school students too“.

I do feel that the show is moving away from the very simple concept which made it so great in the beginning, but it still highly entertaining and I have not yet missed an episode.

I also loved KJK as the bad guy.

 ahh what a cute kid.

This is hilarious. Poor kid though.

The most recent episode I watched was 103 with Shin Sekyung and Noh Sayeon. I hated how the first half the guests were basically just props being carried around and the heavier prop (aka Sayeon) ended up hogging all the screen time because she's overweight. I mean, we got this the last time she was on the show. It also didn't help Sekyung that Gary got lost again and they ended up falling behind in the beginning but still miraculously ended up pulling ahead.  That said, I think the beast did great and really utilized the name tags well in the final game.

running mans a great show only one ep i found disappointed was the big bang one i hate how the pd gave so much advantage to big bang, i dont hate big bang not anti or a hater but when they beat the running man members it didnt feel like they did it with their own ability chaining up kwangsoo and jongkook together and also giving them the ability to bring one member to them i dont know what the pds are thinking zombie ep lol its more like vampire to me and the future sight one its more like reverse time but other then that running man is a great show to watch cant wait for ep118 choi min soo returns to break the tie with the running man

suk jin on the sherlock holmes special is badass i didnt expect how things turn out the edit team did a good job on that one got me really thinking

The show's got its share of up and downs. After watching 122 episodes, I can confidently say that not all of the episodes met my expectation.
But still, the show IS entertaining. Just yesterday I watched the 122nd episode, and it made me laugh hysterically in my lab.

My thoughts go to the writers of this show tho. It's a hard job to maintain the already-high level of entertainment of the show.
But until now, they prove themselves to be good enough, so I'm counting on them! :)

You said it. Watching the first episodes and the last ones, I can see a huge difference, almost as if they 2 different
shows. That shows how RM has evolved, and for good, I think. The hide and seek game was really good, but the other
games (like superpowers socccer and several others) are really good too. And men, they are funny!

I personally think that those superpowers episodes are GENIUS!
A good chunk of the "powers" is unexpected and brings unexpected events, which sometimes reverse the whole situation.
I simply have to credit them writers.

Anyway, if I'm not mistaken, some writers are said to be from past successful shows like X-Man and Happy Together Season 1, right? :yep:

I'm not a korea-addicted, but Running Man is exceptional... It's super hilarious from the first time I watched it! Luckily, my friend collected the show from the starting eps until now, I don't need to download 'em... hahahhaa.. It's different for someone to watch it from the start or just randomly watch it... You won't realize the emotional bond for this show if you're not watching it from the start...

You can easily find all the episodes streamed online, don't even need to download them  :)
Just use this site :

http://kshowonline.com/category/2/running-man (http://kshowonline.com/category/2/running-man)
If you use the Google stream pretty much every episode is 720p, except about a handful of episodes  :twothumbs

Same! I remember the Lockdown missions in the first few episodes. Those were what I feel better than most episodes nowadays.

I LOVE this show. I have watched it all the way from episode 1. The character dynamics between (Jong Kook and Gwangsoo) and (Gary and Ji Hyo) are awesome.

I really like this show too! But at the same time, I feel like they are running out of ideas. I wish they would go back to the classic nametag snatching more often!

I really love this tv show no matter what! Especially JiHyo! Monday couple, but I do agree the old episode might be better than the latest. But they are still trying their hard to get audience's attention.  :twothumbs I will support them till end, especially JiHyo and Gary

I was watching Running Man with the subs from iSubs, but they have been behind for awhile, so I started catching up with Kshownow and Drama Fever subs. I prefer the Drama Fever ones cause Kshownow does have spelling issues here and there, but either way I'm catching up on the show now. I am in early 2013 of the show
