coz Yamada Takayuki and Erika Sawajiri are play the role, two of my favorites artists are in the same drama...
i must be patient till the full episodes are out

It's kinda sad that after 1 litre she will be know as "the girl who dies" for a while.
ya! i thought so... :)
or maybe later she will be plays in drama which she act as a girl who suffer in illness

i think this series is going pretty good. i juz finished watching episode 6 earlier and i must say that i'm enjoying it a lot! i haven't cried "1 litre of tears" while watching this series so far but it DOES have it's moments. i love the "taiyou no uta" song that kaoru amane sings. it's got me singing it too! hehe..i'm looking forward to more episodes soon!

As a dorama series by itself, I think it's doing pretty badly right now. The story is progressing slowly and all over the place. All the minor characters are pointless (they can cut down the cast by half). The character Kouji is uninteresting and lacks focus (what the hell does he want!?). Asami is annoying with all her sobbing (just stop writing songs!).

At the beginning, Erika brought a lot of depth to her character...and it seemed like she was so good that the rest of the cast and the poor writing of the story couldn't keep up. Now, the story is going so bad that Erika/Kaoru just looks bored throughout the whole series. By this point, I honestly don't care about her dying.

If we have to compare to 1 Liter, then obviously, 1 Liter rules it by a mile.

As teth has summarised, bear in mind that it has nothing to do with the cast.. its just that the script expanded on the original story in seemingly strange ways

I think they do have a problem expanding a 1 1/2 hour movie to ?11? episodes
Although I think the movie skipped really fast from first meeting each other to singing to 'the end'.
The series is expanding on that 'mid section' currently.

For those who had some trouble with the subs for ep 6, they've been retimed and reposted, in case anyone didn't know.  I very well could be the last one to discover this, but I thought I'd share.

I thought it started out pretty slow, but by the 4th episode I thought it got a little better. and I think right now on the 6th episode it's gotten to the point where I actually like it and not just watching for Erika.

Ah, somewhat ok (still you posted it after ep9 was almost a week available, so I assumed you meant the subs for ep7), but there is a search function on d-addict, its just above the tabs, typing 'taiyou' and then clicking 'go'.

And subs for ep7 are up there now.

On a note relating to the show:
Taiyou no uta, the single connected to this drama, has sold 260k in its first two weeks..  [140k first week, then 120 or so 2nd week.]

AMAZING, I TELL YOU.
she's my fire, my desire...

I started watching the TvDrama version kinda late so I wasn't rly up to date ...
I used the search function but I guess I did something wrong xD since there are
many filters , maybe I just used a filter accidently ...anyways thanks for the
information dude.
