Yep. You get "thumbsup"

I like Brazil again. Ronaldhino is unstoppable and his Barcelona win (?) in the FA Cup (?) ...anyways, it'll be good to get drunk all over again in the summer.

hmm.. i think the brazillian squad of this campaign is one of the strongest i've seen in a while..

Goalkeepers: Dida (AC Milan), Julio Cesar (Inter Milan), Rogerio Ceni (Sao Paulo)

Defenders: Cafu (AC Milan), Cicinho (Real Madrid), Lucio (Bayern Munich), Juan (Bayer Leverkusen), Roberto Carlos (Real Madrid), Gilberto (Hertha Berlin), Cris (Olympique Lyon), Luisao (Benfica)

Midfielders: Edmilson (Barcelona), Juninho Pernambucano (Olympique Lyon), Emerson (Juventus), Ze Roberto (Bayern Munich), Gilberto Silva (Arsenal), Kaka (AC Milan), Ricardinho (Corinthians)

Forwards: Ronaldo (Real Madrid), Robinho (Real Madrid), Ronaldinho (Barcelona), Adriano (Inter Milan), Fred (Olympique Lyon)

ronaldo doesn't look like he's as hungry or passionate about football this time going into the world cup. he probably won't even be in the starting lineup.

Sure, isn't TSN + Sportsnet doing it? When in doubt, go to E&C

http://soccer.sportsnet.tsn.ca/schedule_results/

According to that page, every game will be carried either by Sportsnet or TSN with the final game being broadcast on CTV.  Either way, that's a good thing, as long as the game is being shown, it doesn't matter which network it's on.

My prediction is Holland is going to take it.  Just cause they've always seemed like underachievers and may be due for a breakout tournament.  My underdog pick is Ukraine.

European Cup.

Personally, looking forward to seeing Japan, Holland, Brazil and the US in action. The US did well in their last outing, I want to see how far they can go this time. Holland missed the last one, so we'll see how it goes.

Free-to-air doesn't have group matches though. This fucking blows.

I'm planning on watching every game this time around, if I can just fit them into my super-busy schedule. :D In 2002, I missed like 1 and a half games. :w00t:

I'll be "rooting" for four teams: Czech, Netherlands, Japan and South Korea, although I'm just as interested in seeing some of the new countries play, from Africa for example. I just wanna see quality football and variety in gameplay.

My "somewhat realistic" out-of-the-blue bet for the winner of the cup is Czech Republic.

To get into the world cup spirit .. here's a good video :D

And to bring back some memories ....

England was losing 1-2 and the match was already in stoppage time, so this was their last chance to score. They needed the goal to qualify for the 2002 World Cup. It's a classic Beckham free kick :)
