I spent so long trying to come up with the words to describe this song and the MV, but I lost them all when I watched that Mnet performance.
So, obviously, words are not enough, but understand that I have to try.
This song has everything. A great catchy and uplifting tune that reminds a person that K-pop still has more to offer than just sleek & sexy electro beats and inserted (whether intelligently or not) autotune. 'Loving U' oozes a certain, for want of a better word, authenticity that matches the music video so well. Without actually understanding the lyrics, to me it's all about good times in the sun and those relaxed hot nights. It's one of those 'life is there to be lived and enjoyed' kind of songs. I find it interesting that there's an "oh-ooooo-oh-ooooo" that's very reminiscent of that in Katy Perry's 'California Girls'. It's definitely related to my bias for SISTAR now, but it's seriously difficult to find fault with this song as long as you're into this kind of music.
The MV is an overload of goodness. I don't know why the girls are wearing nautical uniforms whilst dancing in front of a plane, but as K-pop has taught me: if the girls are pretty and the music awesome, nothing has to make sense. I don't think I need to say how hot SISTAR is in this, because everyone can see for themselves. I love how Dasom just looks bored at around 1:40 while the rest of the girls are doing what they do
After Bora's rap, Dasom really started standing out to me. She's a cutie; underwater, with a sign, it's all good!!
As for Soyu, there's something about her that makes me want to be that cup and that's all I'll say. Bora really reminds me of Lee Hyori at times in that flanno whilst in the car. So damn hot
Hyorin is simply amazing to look at in the hammock and next to the campfire. I just... fwoar. Just... fwoar. Too much, darling, too much
Obligatory dancing on cars under the setting sun - I love. Bora, you sweet thing
Did anyone else notice that everyone except Dasom had sausages on their skewers around the campfire, while the maknae had marsmallows? I can't help thinking of it as a euphemism
That said, even though she's meant to be the cute maknae (and indeed she is most of the time), she's been taking more than a dip in the hot pool lately.
So yeah, I think that's my wrap of the MV and song. Not very comprehensive, but I want to get back to watching it already, so cut me some slack.
Furthering the idea of Dasom joining the ranks of hotness, my eyes were on her the whole time in the Mnet perf. Bora might be my favourite, but damn, Dasom stole that show for me. WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME, SISTAR???
Question: Is Victoria's Secret an affiliate for these promotions or something?
