I was hoping somebody else would start the thread but ok, I'll do the copy+pasting then!!

So yeah, this is one of the two additional members to Momusu's 8th generation, Linlin. From China, but seems to be learning Japanese quite fast. Let's all hope she has a bright future ahead of her. :heart:

Oh yeah, and I still kinda feel like calling her Ponichan. At least as long as she keeps wearing that ponytail :lol: (She was this egg whose identity nobody knew, so wota just called her Ponytail-chan --> Poni-chan)

Weird. I've been looking at her pic and talking about her since Thursday, but only now that you say "Poni-chan" do I remember seeing her from before the announcement.

I can't wait to see more of her in action. I think she's going to get a fair bit of spotlight at the start too, seeing as she's kind of the go-between with Chun Li (until she learns more Japanese).

Even though that recording gave us just a little taste of what her voice will potentially sound like, I'm already quite impressed.

I thought Tsunku had given up searching for actual talented girls in favor of seemingly hopeless cases that he'd miraculously try to turn into stars. That in mind, and to be completely honest, I didn't expect for a moment that Linlin could actually sing. So I was really pleasantly surprised.

With Miki gone, the group's vocal talent suffered a great blow, leaving just Ai to give it any credibility. Now it seems that the panda I thought was there to mostly serve as Junjun's translator could really spice things up in the vocal department.

Right now I'm interested in a few things:

- How will she REALLY sound like on a studio recording and proper live appearances?
- How good are her dancing skills?
- And related to the previous two, how will they push her in the group?

I'm all for pushing talent, and I'd give this girl several leads from the get-go. Sadly this is more likely to happen only in their China-related activities. One can always hope, though.

And it was definitely Linlin singing in that VTR in the recording of that handshake recording XD Another person said that compared to previous new MM members, Linlin's previous experience shows.

If you don't speak Chinese, I suggest skipping the first 1:30 min because it's just the host babbling by himself.

I've been a fan since the first DVD Magazine she was in as I could see she was abit of a nut job back then; I always thought her voice was..."unique too". I never actually though that she could necessarily "sing" though and so I was both surprised and happy when she belted that performance out at P9Disco. It's a shame to see Jun Jun getting shunted a little but she's rooted herself firmly as my nubmer one panda for the moment.

My Lin Lin story: I thought she was kinda weird, even homely!! When I watched the Alo Hello 3. It wasn't until JFC's constant pimping, and Jab blabbling about Jun Jun this and that, did I check out the Chinese girls. I thought she was actually pretty damn funny...and gosh, meeting her in real life was pretty cool. Very friendly to me :heart: I wish I said something before the security guards dragged me away.

Regarding how I first reacted to the news about her joining the group, you can probably take a lot of what I wrote for my Junjun story and also apply it for Linlin. When news & rumours about both her and Junjun started popping up, and we started finding out that Linlin already had some experience in acting, etc. in China, I was "Oh, cool. So at least she shouldn't be shy/dull/hesitant in front of the cameras." Then we started finding out that she could also play the guitar & piano (NB. - she mentions them during her debut appearance on HM@ when she and Junjun were doing the roller coaster challenge) and it really got me anticipating their arrival.

My favourite thing about Linlin:
Similar to Junjun, I just love how she pulls no punches and just says what's on her mind. You can tell that she definitely has the mentality of an "entertainer".

I wasn't exactly excited for the introduction of the panda girls into Morning Musume (I wasn't mean towards them but...I wasn't super happy either). And in their first single I couldn't hear them as I should to appreciate their voices. It wasn't until I heard Linko's voice when I said: HOSHIT! So Morning Musume stills being a singers group?! Plus, her reactions and personality made me warm more towards Jun and Lin (mostly more about Linlin, much enough to turn her into my favorite member from the current line-up).

The most criminally underused talent since D'Lo Brown's 1999 "EuroContinental" Championship reign. Like Junjun, Linlin may be gone from Momusu but she hasn't completely gone away either (http://blog.sina.com.cn/zaoanshaonuzulinlin) (even if it seems she doesn't update as often)...and with her experience and talent why should she? Qian Lin needs to show the world what Hello Project wouldn't.

Admittedly I was at first kinda creeped out by those crazy-looking eyes and wide smile during my noob days, but in time she won me over. That amazing voice owned both versions of "Ame no Furanai", and Morning Musume DVD Mag 25 made me fall in love with her quirky, energetic personality. She may have been last in MM's pecking order during her time in the group, but she could've easily been first in showing her bandmates how it's done.

Hangzhou doesn't seem too far away from Shanghai, which seems to have become Mainland China's gateway to the world. Perhaps Lin's time isn't too far away either.

really gonna miss her in next DVD magazine, she always show up in the camera first, catering corner girl :lol:easy to find her

after watch DVD magz27 i curious bout something ,look like there an accident in cathering corner,,
maybe some of the cooking tolls fall and hit her foot finger..
at middle of the video, lin lin can't use boots, she have to dance using a sneakers,, and because of it linlin have to go to the hospital

i still learn Japanese.. so, can't understand all the conversation ...damn,, need to learn more harder :doh:

It is a pun about a day for sex, which still can be considered a day for children I guess. I didn’t expect LinLin to post such a lewd joke.

For all we know, he may not have even had a legal license to drive/operate the scooter (assuming one is even needed for it there).

The important thing is that Linlin was not seriously/majorly hurt. Sure she may not be able to work for a week, but at least she WILL be able to return. :yep:
