Chapter 1
*Yuko's POV*
I was bicycling my way to school while appreciating the beautiful Sakura petals falling down. Not until I saw from afar a brown haired guy wearing the same uniform from my school took a stray cat from the box with a sign "Please Adopt Me" and gave the poor cat milk.
‘What a kind-hearted person and not to mention he's handsome too.’ I thought as I pass by them and got a closer look at the guy.

I was about to take out my indoor shoes when somebody suddenly tap my shoulder. “Wow! You're early today Yuko. Excited for the first day of school?”
“That should be my line. I am always early.” I said while giving my friend a suspicious look but then turn into a mischievous one.
“Ohoho. Don't tell me you're early for YOUR Atsuko.” I said playfully. Kai's cheeks immediately turn red. ‘Bullseye.’ I thought.
“She asked me to... watch her... to you know... practice her speech for the opening ceremony...” Kai said while averting his eyes anywhere avoiding eye contact with me.
“Helping your girlfriend huh. Must be nice.” I envy them. I want to have someone like that too in my life.
“She's not my girlfriend......yet.” Kai said and whispered the ‘yet’. Honestly, this guy is soooo slow. He's been in love with Acchan for 5 years yet he is still not confessing.
“Really Kai what's stopping you from telling her your feelings?” His facial expression became sad and when he was about to answer me his cellphone rang. Reading the name of who is calling him, red spread through his face. It must be Acchan.
“Moshi moshi..... Yeah, I arrive already...... Ok........ Bye.*beep* Sorry Yuko I need to go already.” Kai said hurriedly. It's so obvious that he is excited to see Acchan.
“Okay, see you later.” I said while watching Kai rushed to the Student Council room.

After the Opening Ceremony we were asked to go to our respective classrooms. It looks like I'm in the same class with Kai and Atsuko.
“Good morning class. I am Togasaki Tomonobu, your advisor for this school year.” Togasaki-sensei said.
“I know all of you are old students but let's do the basics. You are going to introduce yourselves” I saw most of the students groaning. After the self-introduction, a knock was heard from the front door. Togasaki-sensei went outside to talk to the person who knocked and went in with a student.
‘Wait! That's the guy I saw this morning! I can't believe we're classmates.’ I thought and I can also hear some squeals from the girls.
“Well, we have a new student. Please introduce yourself.” Togasaki-sensei said.
“My name is Kojima Riku and I came from Mendol Boys High School” Riku said and bowed down.
“He came from Mendol!” Said Girl 1.
“Wow! No wonder, that school is full of ikemen!” Said Girl 2.
“Kyaa!!” Said Girl 3.
‘That guy completely captured the heart of the girls. Not so surprising since he is super handsome.’
“Kojima-kun your seat is the vacant one at the back.” Togasaki-sensei said while pointing Kojima's seat. The teacher based the seating arrangement from our height so I'm seating at the front row. During recess a lot of girls were surrounding Kojima. Most of them are trying to look cute, impress Kojima and volunteered to tour him around the school. Those girls *sigh* poor Kojima he really looked like he is having a hard time.
“Look at the girls surrounding him there are some who are not even from this class. Amazing.” Kai said with Acchan by his side.
“And because of that this classroom has gotten noisy.” Acchan said while wearing an irritated look.
“Why don't you chase them away? You are the Kaicho afterall.” I suggested.
“Do not underestimate the power of the fangirls Yuko-chan.” I saw fear in Acchan's eye which is quite rare to see from the strict Kaicho.
Kai immediately comforted Acchan by patting her head which caused for the Kaicho to blush. Geez, they're so lovey-dovey early in the morning. Although they look cute, they annoy me so I reverted my eyes back to the new student who is still wearing an uneasy look. Fortunately for him the bell rang and the girls immediately dispersed and went back to their respective seats and some to their classrooms.

The rest of the class when by without a hitch. We were dismissed a little early because this day is still the introduction day to the different subjects and meeting the teachers. I decided to waste my time roaming around a certain mall and to my surprise I saw Kojima in a shop that specializes in teddy bears. I was curious so I followed him inside the shop.
‘He probably have a girlfriend.......... Or maybe not? He seems to be enjoying too much looking at these teddy bears.’ I doubted my first guess when I notice that there's a glint, excitement and happiness in his eyes. My thoughts were interrupted when the cashier asked Kojima to wrap the cute p-pink teddy bear.....
“No need Miss” he replied brightly and the cashier just smiled back. Now I don't want to start doubting his gender so I convinced myself that he is giving it to someone and wanted to wrap it himself. Yeah, that's right wrapping it yourself can bring some personal touch. I shook my head and went outside to go home.

*2 months later*
June is the last month for the spring season. Riku is as popular as ever. Nothing much changed same with Yuko's usual days, the same faces and routine. But she never expected to discover the shocking secret of one of the most popular guy in their school, Kojima Riku.
*Yuko's POV*
Togasaki-sensei gave us an art project by partners. He randomly chose the partners for the project. And to my discomfort my partner is Kojima. I can already feel the glares from the girls.
After school Kojima approach me and said “Oshima-san can we start planning about our project?” I can't help but give him a surprise look I mean the project is due in three weeks and it’s not that hard so why the rush?
“Okay, sure. Where?” I tried to smile.
“Great. Then let's head to the library.”
After a while of researching we decided to make a miniature of bridge made from broomsticks. Kojima volunteered to do the sketch. I can totally sense from him that he wants to finish this project fast so I agreed. He told me to just prepare money for the project and as soon as possible we will buy the materials to start our project.
On Friday we went out after school to buy the necessary materials and decided to do the project at his apartment. I was against at making the project in his apartment because you know... We will be alone... And that's not comfortable at all. But he assured to me that he is not going to do something suspicious. I can feel the sincerity in his eyes so I gave in and believed in him.

“Tadaima.” He said as we enter his apartment.
“Ojamashimasu.” I looked around and noticed it’s pretty clean and tidy for a guy.
“Oshima-san please sit down here and take out the materials while I get some snacks and drinks for us” He said while pointing to a small table enough for two people.
As I waited for him I took out the broomstick from the plastic bag that he was carrying and a ball of black yarn. I also took out my scissors. He came back with two tea and two slices of strawberry shortcake.
“Ne, is it really alright for you to give that cake to me?” I can't help but ask.
“Don't worry I baked this.” He told me happily.
“Really?! You made this?” He just nodded. I was really shock and he seems to be telling the truth.
“Wow. It looks great. Like the ones being sold out there in pastry shop.” I can see that he is blushing lightly. How cute.
I took a bite. “Uwah~ it tastes delicious as it looks!” His face became red after hearing my words. His reaction made me convince more that he really made it. He suddenly changed the topic to our project. He must have been really embarrassed.
It was almost 5:30 pm so we stopped making our project. It's amazing because we're halfway done. We were about to clean up when an earthquake occurred. Remembering the earthquake drill taught by the school, we immediately hide in the nearest table.
My fear suddenly vanished when I started to notice how close our bodies and faces are. My eyes couldn't get away from him even when I heard something heavy fall down. He is just super-duper handsome in closer look even if he has a worried face. After the earthquake we went outside to be safe. His right arm is at my back giving me support from the shock but he doesn’t know that I am in shock and blushing for the long physical contact we had.
“Oshima-san are you alright?” He asked while looking at me worriedly. I feel that my face heated up even more.
“Oshima-san your face is really red. I repeat, are you alright? Are you hurt anywhere?”
I snap out and replied “A-ah! Oh. Y-yeah I'm perfectly fine. I'm not hurt anywhere or anything. Ehehe.” I tried to laugh to hide my embarrassment and pulled myself away from him to calm myself. We waited a bit outside and went back in.
“Kojima-san, I heard something fall down. Do you want me to help you clean up?” His expression suddenly became nervous. ‘Hm? Is he hiding something?’
“NO! I mean it’s alright I can do it by myself.” He is definitely hiding something.
“No, I'll help. Payback for the food and from the sound a while ago many things fell you might take a long time cleaning up.” I said while heading to a door which I assume his room.
“It’s okay! Really.” He is totally against me going in which made me even more motivated to come in. As I went in things are still neat except near the closet. All the things from the closet fell out.
“What the.” I realize that the things on the floor were cute teddy bears and oh, the one he bought two months ago is here. So it is for himself... Another thing that shocked me the most is that there are dresses, wigs, makeup, high heels, sandals, bags for girls, and other girly stuff on the floor. I just stood at the door trying to process what I have just seen.
“T-these are n-not mine.” He said while blocking my view from those things. “Those are..... Uh.. Owned by my l-little sister!” What a lie. I saw his picture frames at the living room and all of them consists of him and his parents, no other girl except her mom.
“You don't have a sister.” I said firmly. He gulped so hard that I can hear it.
“Kojima-san, tell me the truth. Are you gay?”
“No!” I gave him an I'm-not-buying-that look.
“I just... love to... cross-dress and do girly stuff but I assure you I am still attracted to females.” He is trying to convince me. ‘What a waste. If those girls ever knew this they might be sad and disappointed.’ I thought.
“You got such an unusual and weird hobby for a guy.” I said.
“Please don't tell anyone about this.” he kneeled down.
“I won't so get up.”
“How should I know you won't spill my secret?”
“Uh.. Let's be friends?” I said as I reach out my hand to him.
“I don't get it.” his face is totally confused.
“I don't betray my friends and if we spend a lot of time together I might understand you.”
I saw hesitation in his eyes. “You can trust me Kojima-san.” I made a sincere face. That at least help, he started to reach my hand.
“Yoroshiku onegaishimasu.” He said. A small smile appeared in his face and shake hands with me. I show my dimple smile. “Yoroshiku.”

This came up in my mind when I remembered the manga called Otomen. I just based Riku's hobby from the main character in there. :D

Chapter 2
*Yuko's POV*
“Can you do a very very important favor for me?” Riku said. We are now inside a certain ice cream shop that is quite far from school. It’s been a month since we became friends but I never saw Riku cross dress before. He is probably shy. I am really curious to see what he looks like as a girl. I also noticed that whenever there is a crochet lying around when he is happy, he always ends up making ornaments or anything cute from it.
“That favor of yours sounds hard so.... No, I refuse.” I said as I continue to eat my ice cream.
“Please Yuko-chan. You are my only hope! I'll do anything you want for the whole year. I'll be your maid or something.” He grabbed my free hand.
“Why so desperate? What is your favor anyway?”
“Please be my girlfriend.” Riku said. I almost drop my ice cream.
“WHAT?!” People started to look at our direction because of my sudden outburst.
“Yuko-chan turn your voice down.” He said as he tried to calm me down.
“How can I- anyway what is that all about? Explain yourself.”
“I accidentally slip to my mom that I have a girlfriend and she wants to see her.” he explained slowly.
“Why me? There are a lot of girls out there who wants to be your girlfriend.” I started to feel irritated and took my hand away from him.
“Those girls will definitely cling on me and touch me with impure intentions and I know that whatever sweet I do to you you will not fall for me.” He said.
“I never had a boyfriend and I don't know how to act.” I tried to counterattack.
“You don't know how to act? You're lying. Atsuko and Kai showed me a video of a play you participated during middle school. And I have to say, your acting is better than the main characters.” He said and added a wink which made my heart beat faster. 'Is he trying to flirt with me?' would be the normal thoughts of a girl but knowing him. He is definitely not flirting.
“Please Yuko-chan it’s just for one day.” he held my hands again and this time he held it tighter.
“...... Ok.” I gave in to his request. Who can’t resist to those cute eyes and the fact that he is handsome doesn’t help at all.
“Really?! Thank you Yuko-chan you are a life saver!” He released my hands and sat beside me to give me a hug. I notice that we are receiving stares from the people again so I tried to break away from his hug.
“That's right! I'll help you so please let go of me. We are attracting attention.” I'm sure that I'm already blushing. Riku look around and finally notice the stare from the people. “Oh, sorry.” He said as he went back to his seat. ‘He doesn’t want a girl to touch him but if he touches a girl he’s fine.’
“Yuko-chan, she will come on the next Sunday and if you want we can practice at my place.” This guy thinks it’s going to be easy? I admit I was sad when he believes that I won't fall for him. I not saying that I'm in love with him I mean it is just a crush. But still, it hurt a bit.
“Yuko-chan~ are you still there?”
“Ah. Yeah. Let's practice at your place this Sunday umm.. around 1 pm.”
“Okay.” He replied. We both continue to eat the melted ice cream.

Today is Sunday and I am now heading to Riku's place. *Sigh* This is going to be a long day.
“Yuko-chan you did came!” He looks really happy to see me.
“I don't take back my words easily.” I said as we headed to the living room. “By the way, how the hell did you slipped into telling your mother you have a girlfriend?” I asked while we were heading to his living room.
“Uh.. You know I came from Mendol Boys High right?” I nodded. Mendol High is very popular because the guys there are ikemen so it's a girl’s fantasy to be there. It is located in an isolated island and students are allowed to get out only during weekends, holidays and semester break.
“A guy was discovered that he is a gay and the students started to bully him. The bullying was more on physical. I can totally see how much painful it is for him to stay there everyday, enduring the pain. He can't also complain because the ones bullying him are the sons of the powerful people in business and politics. So I got afraid. What if they discover my hobby? Will I be able to handle the bullying? Before that could ever happen I decided to transfer giving Mom the alibi that I want to have a girlfriend that is near to me.” His voice was sad.
“Your mother just accepted that kind of reasoning?” I asked.
“Yeah, she does want me to get married early to assure that her business will have an heir.” So that's the kind of parent he have. The "everything is business" type
“So.. Let's get started?” He said, sat closer and stared at me. I suddenly became nervous.
“Okay... What should we do first?” I said as I also stare back at him. He held my hands. “Let's hold hands for the whole duration of our planning to get use to the feeling.” I agreed with him. He talked to me about the likes and dislikes of his mom. I've gotten a bit bored to the talk of what I should do. I want to move around so I suggested something to him.
“Ne Riku, let's kiss.” As expected his eyes widen.
“What are you talking about? Holding hands is enough. We don't need to be that lovey-dovey in front of Mom.” I can feel that he is getting nervous as I started to get closer to him.
“Yuko-chan you're kidding, right?” I lunged at him but I ended up kissing the armrest of the sofa. Tsk. He dodged it.
“You! Stay away from me!” He said as he started to run away from me. Of course I chase after him while sticking out my lips getting ready to kiss him anytime. After running around the living room he headed to the kitchen.
When he turned to the right at the working table he suddenly stopped running. I took this chance to grab him but he jumped away from me. After two more steps I stepped on something and slipped. I close my eyes to prepare myself from the pain but instead of colliding with the hard floor my body fell on something hard but definitely softer than the floor.
I open my eyes only to find out Riku broke my fall. I took this opportunity to kiss him. A bit grateful to him I decided to just kiss his cheeks and let my lips stay there for 5 seconds.
“……………….”
*Smack*
“Ouch! Hey! I just broke your fall and the reward I receive for that is a smack?” He frowned.
“Yup.” I said as I started to get up. “It's your fault why I slipped. Why didn't you throw that banana peel at the garbage?!” I said as I pointed to the banana lying near his foot. “I forgot.” He mumbled and got up too.
“Don't do that again.” He said and crossed his arms in his chest. “So this is how it feels to be raped.” Hearing his statement I smacked him again.
“Say something that would anger me and I will kiss you RIGHT AT YOUR LIPS, YOU UNDERSTAND.” He face was filled with fear. He doesn't want to get kissed by me that much? I unconsciously pouted. When I look back at Riku I noticed that he is staring at me.
“What?” Seems like he snapped out from whatever he was thinking. “N-nothing. By the way I am not yet finish talking about our 'pretending'. We need to choose what you'll wear too.” We went back to the living but with snacks and started to plan how we should act and some other necessary things.

*Riku's POV*
It's 10:45 am. I am waiting at the park to meet up with Yuko. Mom wanted to have lunch in the newly opened branch of her restaurant which happens to be the nearest to my place. We're supposed to be there at 12 noon but Yuko and I decided to meet up an hour earlier to prepare our minds. I snapped out from my thoughts as I spotted a familiar figure.
“You're always punctual Yuko-chan and I was right with the dress.” I said as I look at her from head to toe. “You look beautiful.” I ended.
“Thank you.” She's blushing. Yuko-chan is a bit tomboyish but can be unexpectedly cute. Like last week when she threatened me. She pouted and she was really cute.
*Click*
‘Hm? What was that?’ I look around to know where the sound came from but found nothing that can possibly make that noise.
“What's wrong?” She asked.
“Did you hear a click a just now?” She just gave me a confused look and said no. ‘It’s probably nothing.’
“Is that so... Do you still remember the Do's and Don'ts” We found a bench and sat there.
“Un. Always wear a small smile. No matter how insulting the words I receive from your Mom I should never talk back and keep my smile. And give my brightest smile only when your Mom started to brag about herself.”
“Good.” Actually Mom wants a girl who is not afraid to go against her and someone who doesn't get fazed with our richness. I told Yuko-chan the opposite because I don't want to drag her longer in this problem of mine. Just showing to Mom that I'm getting a girlfriend will relieve her mind.
The remaining time we have been spent on practicing close contact to make us look like a couple. I've become slightly comfortable when our faces are near. A little improvement. I just don't like it when a girl becomes too close physically especially those with impure desires, wants to eat me alive and too clingy. I want to puke and get myself away from those disgusting women. At least with Yuko-chan, I don't feel like I'm taken advantage.

We are now standing in the restaurant with Mom facing us.
“Mom, my girlfriend, Oshima Yuko.” I smiled at her hiding my nervousness.
“Good afternoon.” Yuko smiled at Mom. “Good afternoon dear.” My Mom replied. After the greetings we sat down and ordered our food.
“Yuko-san, what do you like about Riku?” My mom asked. An expected question. Of course, we planned what Yuko would say.
“Riku is a bit cold but when he starts to open up with you, the warmth he emits is something that can throb your heart. He never makes you feel that you are alone. And also..” Hm? There's more? From what I remember those are supposed to be the only thing she would say of what she liked about me.
“He is kind to animals. On the first day of school I saw him feeding milk to a stray cat. Most guys nowadays would only ignore a stray cat. For me, guys who are kind to all living creatures have a good heart and will truly love you.” My heart was touched by what she said. Yuko's sincere eyes while she said that feels like she's not lying.
“Yuko...” She shifted her attention to me. “Hm?” She then tilted her head a little. 'Cute' I thought.
“Thank you.” I took her right hand and smiled sweetly. I'm sure with this Mom would somehow believe in our little act. Our sweet staring was interrupted by the waiter.
The lunch ended. It’s strange that Mom didn't brag in front of Yuko. I wonder why. This lunch is unexpectedly peaceful because Mom was quiet. Yuko talked the most because she talked about herself. Well Mom did ask her to about herself.
“It was nice talking to you Yuko-chan. See you next time.” My mom said. ‘Eh? There's a next one? Did she like her?’
“Same here Mrs. Kojima. It’s a pleasure talking to you.” Yuko said as she flashed her dimples smile. Mom also smiled. We bid goodbye to my Mom.

Yuko and I are back to the park. Both of us are riding the swing.
“You totally gave me a scary impression of your mother. She was very kind.” Yuko started.
“I don't know what happened to her. She was always harsh to the past girlfriends that I had introduced to her.” I'm telling the truth. I really wonder what happen to them.
“Oh, so I'm not the first one huh.” Her tone is quite grumpy. Is she mad?
“Un. You're the 4th actually. All of my so called 'girlfriends' sticks to me like super glue so we never last a week and I never even kiss them.” I said.
“You actually got the guts to ask those girls out.”
“It was very hard for me you know. I want to puke every time I'm near them. I'm forcing myself to those girls to please Mom.”
“Hm... Ne Riku, can you push my swing? I want to feel the wind more.” I obliged to her request and pushed her swing.
“They look so sweet” A girl said.
“That girl is sooo lucky. The guy is so handsome and a gentleman.” the other girl said.
“I am so jealous. I want a boyfriend like him too.” the first girl said.
'Geez, they talk so loud. Do they even know that I can hear them?' I ignored those girls and focused on pushing Yuko. 'She smells nice.'
“Ne Yuko, what shampoo are you using?”
“Why? Does my hair smell bad?”
“No. It smells good. I want to try it.”
“I'm not telling you or else we will end up having the same scent.”
“Stingy.” I stopped pushing her swing.
“Hmph.” She got off the swing. “Anyway, I want to go home.” She said.
“Okay but I will walk you home. I want to know where you live.”
“If you say so.” Yuko said. We keep talking about normal stuff until we reached her house.
“Thank you for the helping me Yuko.” I am very grateful to her.
“Why are you thanking me? This has a price remember. You promise that you will do anything I want.” She said with a hint of mischief.
“I know but still thank you.” I smiled from the bottom of my heart.
“……… You're welcome. See you tomorrow.” It took her awhile to say that...
“See you.” She waved at me and I waved back before she closed their door. I felt my phone vibrating.

*The next day*
Yuko is peacefully making her way to the school gates. There are not many students arrived yet but somehow all of the students she cross path with are taking a glance at her. Reaching her destination, a classmate approached her and showed the newest issue of the weekly school newspaper to her face.
"Oshima, is this true?!" the classmate asked with a hint of desperation. Yuko on the other hand didn't know what to say.

Chapter 2.5
Yuko's eyes widen as she saw the headlines and what's more is that it even have pictures of her and Riku when they are practicing in the park. They totally looked like couple being lovey-dovey in their 'date' if you look the photos. The worst is they were also caught having dinner with Riku's mom.
AKIBA HEADLINES HOT ISSUE:
“The Junior's Prince, Kojima Riku, is dating Oshima Yuko”
“You should ask Riku about that and I also got some stuff to do.” Yuko answered to the poor classmate and immediately dashed out from the classroom proceeding to the office of Newspaper Club. Panting hard from the running she opened the Newspaper Club's door harshly.
“Today is such a beautiful day, ne my dear cousin.” The president of the club said to the panting Yuko with his ever famous cyborg smile.
“There is nothing beautiful today MY DEAR COUSIN!” Yuko said furiously.
The president only chuckled. “You know, I was really surprise to see you at the park looking pretty.”
“Mayu! Stop the distribution of the newspapers right now!” Yuko smacked the president's table with both hands.
“If you're trying to stop the news from spreading, I tell you it’s useless. A good number of students bought the newspaper. I can say every classroom has at least one to two persons that have a copy.” Mayu said while adjusting his glasses.
“Why did you even publish that? Did you forget our happy childhood adventures? Do you have a grudge against me?” Yuko asked.
“Don't worry Cuz. You are still my favorite cousin. But lately the sales of the school’s newspaper have slowly dropped. As the president I should do something. And then while looking for something to write I saw you. So I use it.” Mayu explained.
“You're not doing it the right way. Take back everything you wrote in the newspaper. Tell them the photos are edited!”
“I know it’s wrong. I admit I was desperate and I can't take back what I wrote. People will not believe its edited because it's too legit” Yuko was about to open her mouth when someone suddenly came in.
“Mayuyu~ ohayo. Yuko-san?” The vice-president of Newspaper Club, Kashiwagi Yuki, entered.
“Yuki! Please convince your insensitive boyfriend to take back what he wrote!” Yuko plead as she shook Yuki's shoulder.
“Sorry, but for the club I can't. By the way Yuko-san, you caught such a nice catch.” Yuki teased and winked at Yuko.
“He is not my boyfriend.” Yuko added a sigh.
“We know you two are just pretending at that time.” Mayu said.
“Yeah. We were listening you know.” Yuki added.
“Then why did you guys still publish that Riku and I are dating if you knew the truth.”
“For the club.” Mayuki replied. Yuko can only face palm.
“What am I going to do?! I'm sure Riku's fans will hunt me down! They are already mad at me because Riku and I are friends. How much more if they read this?!” Yuko said as if she is really going to get killed.
“Cuz, I have a suges-“ Mayu was cut off by the door opening. There stood Kojima Riku.
“Where is Watanabe Mayu!” Riku said with a hint of anger. Realizing Yuko is also at the same room. “Yuko-chan? What are you doing here?” Riku asked.
“I'm sure we have the same reason of coming here.” Yuko replied.
“I'm Watanabe Mayu and if you are also asking me to stop the news from spreading, I repeat I'm telling you it’s impossible. A good number of students bought the newspaper” Mayu said with Yuki by his side nodding in agreement. Riku feeling hopeless faced Yuko.
“Yuko-chan I'm really sorry for getting you involve with my mess.”
“I agreed to it so don't apologize.”
“I will tell them we broke up so that my admirers will not harm you.” Riku said.
“Mayuyu wrote in the article that it happened yesterday. I'm sure nobody will believe the break up especially that there is a picture of the both of you with Kojima-san's parent with the date of when it was captured.” Yuki said.
“Yukirin is right. No one will believe because just yesterday you were so sweet and now a sudden broke up? The two of you hang out together a lot too. If you really want to say you two broke up then you have to ignore each other. You got to make the people believe you broke up because of a bad fight.” Mayu said.
“Wouldn't they just believe it was a nice mutual break up?” Riku asked.
“It's unrealistic. You got no choice but to ignore each other like Mayuyu said or just continue this and protect Yuko-san with all your might.” Yuki answered
“But I don't want to ignore Yuko-chan.” Riku said.
“Riku let's just ignore each other. We can still hang-out after school somewhere.” Yuko said.
“No! I can't. I'll end up partnering a clingy girl during groupings and the boys doesn't want to partner with me because the girls cling on me.” Riku said.
“The perks of being handsome. Well my dear cousin, what can you say? Your 'boyfriend' here seems to suffer his high school life if you are not by his side.” Mayu said.
“*sigh* Okay. Fine. We will continue to pretend dating?” Yuko asked Riku.
“Yes please. And I promise I will always protect you and I'll definitely grant anything you want.” Riku immediately hold Yuko's hands with a very serious face.
The Mayuki couple watched the two with amusement.
Riku and Yuko went back to their classroom. As expected when they arrived they were immediately asked by the people if it's true.
“Yes. Yuko and I are dating.” Riku declared at the classroom. His fangirls were crying loudly. They couldn't accept that their beloved prince was stolen by an ordinary tomboyish girl.
Starting that day Riku joined in eating lunch with Yuko, Atsuko and Kai and their fake dating continued.

Chapter 3
Today Riku invited Yuko out to treat her for the hard work they had been doing at school. He was waiting for Yuko at a certain waiting shed near Yuko's house. While waiting for Yuko, Riku felt that someone is watching him. Just to make sure he is right he acted like he is anxiously waiting for someone, looking at his watch from time to time while scanning the area. At the same time a truck with an aluminum body passed by. The image reflected by the truck was not in high definition but it was enough for Riku to see that there are 2 girls hiding beside the vending machine and the other one at the tree.
'Tsk. The face of one girl looks familiar probably my fangirl.' Riku immediately emailed Yuko of what he saw. Both don't have a choice but to act rabu-rabu again even if this day is supposed to be a hangout of friends.
Yuko arrived shortly after reading Riku’s message. Seeing Riku’s frown, Yuko tiptoed slowly making sure Riku won't feel or see her. She covered Riku's eyes with her hands.
“Guess who~” Yuko said playfully.
“Eh? Hmm... Etou.. Who are you?” Riku acted dumb so Yuko removed her hands from Riku's eyes and slapped his right arm.
“Aw!” Riku said dramatically and faced a pouting Yuko with her arms crossed.
“Oh Honey! It’s you.” Riku said. He was about to hug Yuko but she avoided it. "Honey I was just joking. Your voice is permanently saved in my mind and especially in my heart."
“Hmph.” Yuko looked away pretending to be mad. Riku successfully hugged Yuko this time from her back and kissed her cheeks.
“I'm sorry I was just kidding.” Riku said while trying to make Yuko face him and was kissing Yuko's face except her lips. Riku noticed that Yuko is blushing. 'She must be still shy.' He thought. The two smirked when they felt an intimidating aura emitting from the vending machine. Getting used to the dating and doing what couples do. Being intimate in front of others is something they are not embarrassed of doing anymore.
“Fine. I forgive you this time but don't do it again.”
“I promise. Let's go.” The two held hands and chatted happily which made the intimidating aura grew worse.
“By the way, your acting is getting better, Yuu-chan.” Riku whispered. Yuko only smiled back.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
The two arrived in the theater and decided to watch a romantic comedy film. Yuko is waiting near to the entrance of the movie they will watch because Riku said he'll buy the tickets and food by himself. Wishing that Riku would arrive sooner because she noticed a guy has been staring at her since she stayed there. Yuko started to get nervous as the guy heads his way to her.
“Hi. You've been standing there for 15 minutes. Did your boyfriend ditch you? Want to come with me instead?” The guy said. “Oh! I'm Taketatsu Kyosuke by the way.” He added while extending his arm for a handshake. Yuko ignored his hand.
“My boyfriend will be here soon so I don't need your company.” Yuko replied coldly. But the guy was unaffected.
“Why so cold Miss? I was just being friendly.” Mario said.
“Yuu-chan I'm sorry for being late. The line for the food was dragged by an old couple who can't decide what to eat.” Riku said while giving Yuko's drinks and food. “Taketatsu?” Riku said when he noticed the figure beside him.
“Kojima, this is your girlfriend?”
“Yeah. Oshima Yuko. Yuu-chan he is a classmate from my previous school, Taketatsu Kyosuke.”
“Is that so.. Riku the movie will start soon. Let's go.” Yuko locked her arms with Riku showing the way to the entrance of the movie they will watch.
Fortunately for them the stalkers from that morning were not able to get inside the cinema. They probably didn't bring much money. They sat in the middle part of the cinema. Yuko felt that she is being watched again. Just to be sure she looked around and found Riku's former classmate stealing glances at them.
“What's wrong?” Riku asked.
“Your friend is here.”
“Just ignore him.”
“His look is really annoying you know.”
Hearing that, Riku wrap his arm in Yuko's shoulder and made her head lean on his chest.
“Just focus on watching the movie or do you want me to kiss you on the lips to distract you.” Riku said. Yuko rolled her eyes.
“This is coming from the guy who ran away from me like I'm a monster when I tried to kiss him.”
“I'm a lot more comfortable to you now so I'm sure I can kiss you this time.”
“Yeah, right.” Yuko said completely not believing Riku's words. Riku moved closer to Yuko and the two watched the whole movie in that position.
*After the Watching the Movie*
“Hahaha! The girl is so funny.” Yuko said.
“Yeah! I don't think any normal person would sparkly clean the whole office of the company she's working at midnight till dawn just because her boyfriend broke up with her.”
“And her expression while cleaning is priceless!”
“Ah. That was a fun movie.” Riku said. Both are starting to calm down. “It's still 3pm. Want to go somewhere?”
“Hmm... Well.. It’s been quite a while since I went to the arcade.” Yuko said.
“Okay! Arcade it is. Let's go!”
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
*At the Arcade*
“Hey, it’s Kai.” Yuko pointed to a certain someone playing Initial D.
“Yo Kai, why are you alone?” Yuko asked.
“Eh?! Yuko? And Riku? Ah! Woah. That was close. I almost crash.” Kai said. After a few seconds Kai finished the game.
“Guys, what's up?” Kai asked
“Are you alone?” Riku asked.
“Yeah... Are you two on a date?”
“Un.” Riku and Yuko replied at the same time.
“I see.. Must be nice.” Kai looked so sad.
“Where is Acchan?” This time Yuko asked.
“She got student council stuff to do. Some meeting about financial.”
“Financial?”
“For the school festival I think... That's what I heard from her.” Kai's cellphone suddenly rang.
“It’s Atsuko!” Kai's happiness was very evident and the 'couple' can't help but think Kai looks like a child who just received a present.
“*clears throat* Moshi moshi... Really?! You're free tomorrow!.......Okay.... Got it! Bye~” Kai excitedly answered.
“Uwah! Too bright.” Yuko said and pretended to protect her eyes from Kai's glow.
“Hehe. I got a date with her tomorrow. I got to go guys. I need to prepare.” Kai said and immediately vanished from their eyes.
“It's amazing how Atsuko can affect Kai.” Riku said.
“That's what love can do to you Honey.” Yuko approached the Silent Hill shooting game.
“Let's play.” Yuko smiled at Riku.
Riku smirked. “I won't lose to you.”
The two played almost all the games in the arcade center. Yuko won mostly in their matches. They were having so much fun but the fan girls that were stalking them earlier were back. Yuko didn’t mind them but Riku was slightly uncomfortable.
Yuko finally knew what was really bothering Riku when she noticed that Riku has been staring at a certain UFO catcher. ‘It has cute squirrel plushies… He wants to get one for himself but his fan girls will see it.’ Yuko deduced.
“Ne Riku! Get a squirrel for me from that UFO catcher!” Yuko dragged the clueless Riku to the catcher. Riku was unaware of Yuko’s actions and just obliged to his girlfriend’s request.
Riku got the plushy and handed it to Yuko. “Thanks.” Yuko said and hugged the small squirrel.
“That’s all?” Riku said feeling unsatisfied to the way Yuko expressed her gratitude.
“What do you mean?” The clueless Yuko asked.
“Don’t I get a reward?” Riku said.
“Like what?” Yuko asked.
“I don’t know. Something.” Riku went closer to Yuko until there was only 3 inches gap of their faces. “Like a kiss.” That made Yuko’s face turned to the reddest shade. Despite Yuko feeling embarrassed to Riku’s statement, she still kissed him but only in the cheek.
“That’s not what I was expecting.” Riku pouted.
“You asked for a kiss and I gave it.”
“But I want it to be on my lips!” Riku whined. ‘Riku please don’t make those girls kill me.’ Yuko thought when she felt Goosebumps from the intense glares that were stabbing her that came from Riku’s stalkers.
“We are at a public place and it’s embarrassing because there are too many people here.” Yuko said shyly.
“Fine. I won’t force but promise to me that you will kiss me later.”
“Okay, I promise.” Riku’s stalkers were more fueled up hearing that.
*After half an hour*
“Yuu-chan I ran out of coins.”
“Me too.” Yuko replied.
“Let's go.” Riku said and held Yuko’s free hand. The stalkers seemed to have something to do because they finally stopped stalking and left the couple. While walking, the conversation of the two suddenly shifted to love.
*Yuko's POV*
“Yuu-chan, have you ever fallen in love?” I was surprised when he threw that question to me. Love huh... I admit at first I had a crush on him but spending too much time with him I think I started to like him more.
“......No. Why?”
“Are you sure? It took you quite a while to respond.”
“Okay fine. I'm not sure its love. But I definitely like him.”
“I am in the way, right? You can't confess to him because the school believes we're dating.” 'Riku you had no idea how happy I am to date you even if it’s fake.' I thought.
“Don't worry about that.” 'It’s you.'
“When the chance comes that we can break up I will help you get him.” 'Ouch. This just confirms that Riku only thinks of me as a friend.'
“But for now, enjoy dating me okay.” Riku said and held my hand tighter. I can only nod in response because I feel that my face is heating up. It’s because he do things like this I started to like him even more. He is too good at acting as a boyfriend. We never let go of our hands until we reached my house.
“Today was really fun. Thanks for the treat and here.” I smiled gratefully to him and handed the squirrel plushy.
“Are you giving that to me?” Riku asked me.
“Yeah.” I said as I kept my smile.
“Why?” I was confused at what he said.
“You were looking at it a lot before you caught it. You must have wanted to get it.”
“I do want it for myself at first but seeing you hugged this cutie…” Riku gave the squirrel back to me. “I was thinking about how that squirrel resembles you and that it suits you more. It looks like you two will get along.”
“Oh. Thank you.” So it’s for me. Riku should really stop doing things that would make me feel that I’m special to him. Also, he called the plushie ‘cutie’ and it resembles me. Does that mean he thinks I’m cute?
“No problem.” He has been staring at me for a while.
“Is there something on my face?”
“No. Nothing.” He wants to say something to me but he is stopping himself. To make him say what's on his mind I also stare back at him without saying anything.
“What?” He is asking me this time.
“Nothing.” I replied back. I am determined to know what's on his mind right now.
“You should go inside already its getting darker.” I can see that he is trying to avoid so I intensify my stare.
“You're really not giving up.”
“No.” He sighed. Looks like my staring is working since he is giving up.
“Close your eyes.” I raised my eyebrow at him.
“And you'll run away?”
“No. You can hold me if you want.” That's weird. What is he planning?
“Never mind.” I heard him saying that. I froze as I felt something warm on my lips. Riku is kissing me! The kiss did not last long. Just when I felt his lips he pulled back right away.
“I'm sorry I suddenly got the urge to kiss you and besides… you promised.” I didn’t say anything and was still shock of what he did.
“Yuu-chan?” He looked at me worriedly. “Please don't get mad at me.”
“That was my first kiss...” As soon as I said that guilt spread on Riku's face.
“I'm really sorry. You can slap me if that makes you feel better. Oh god, I'm so selfish. I shoul-“
I kissed him this time. And this kiss lasted longer than the first one. He was stiff at first but relaxed after a while. Shortly after that I pulled away.
“You talk too much.” I said. 'Kawaii! He's blushing.' I thought.
“I'm not mad. I was just surprised. And.. I'm actually glad my first kiss with you.” I gave him my best smile.
“I'm glad my first is with you too.” He smiled back. We were exchanging glances until someone interrupted our cute moment.
“Ahem!” Somebody is right behind us. We turned our eyes to the person who disturbed us.
“Da-dad?!” Why is he here early?! He usually goes home around 10 pm! This is bad.
“Who is this guy Yuko?” My father asked in an emotionless tone while eyeing at Riku.
“He is Kojima Riku.” I'm really nervous right now. I don't know what I should say. Is Riku a friend or boyfriend? Should I lie or not?
“Good evening sir.” Riku bowed.
“What is your relationship with my daughter?” Straight forward as always. Riku, what will your answer be?
“I am you daughter’s boyfriend.” He said it! My father's face became stern.
“I see. Why don't you join dinner with us tonight?” Riku please say no.
“It’s a pleasure.” What?!
We went inside the house and my father started to cook for dinner. Both of us are waiting at the living room watching TV.
“Why did you lie?” I asked him.
“He caught us being sweet at each other, of course he won't believe that I am not a suitor or a boyfriend.”
“But still...” I tried to think of something to counter him.
“Besides if ever your father went to our school and ask around he will know that we're 'dating'. His impression of me will become bad. Things are better this way.” I didn't respond anymore and went to the kitchen to help my father.
“Time flew so fast.” I looked at my father. “My daughter is already at the age of having a boyfriend.”
“Dad, are you happy for me?”
“Yes although I'm a bit sad but the feeling of happiness is stronger.”
“You scared me back then. I thought you would kill Riku.”
“I will kill him if he hurt you.” I giggled.
“Don't worry. He is a very nice guy.” I assured him.
“Hm. We will see later if he deserves you.”
Dinner came, Riku and Dad talked a lot. Surprisingly they get along well. Dad's uneasiness must have been removed by now.
“Come here sometimes for a visit Riku-kun. Just make sure I'm here and not alone with Yuko.” Dad said as he is saying his goodbye to Riku.
“No sex yet. You kids understand?” I stepped on my father foot from the embarrassment. Riku is blushing too.
“Dad!”
“Ow.. I'm serious dear.”
“I know but don't say it so bluntly like that!”
“Ahem! Anyway, see you around boy.” Dad said and finally left us.
“Sorry about that.” I'm still embarrassed from what Dad said. Geez, that old man.
“Nah, it's okay. It's normal for a father to be protective to their child.”
“You're right.”
“See you on Monday. Don't miss me too much Honey.” I rolled my eyes.
“In your dreams.” What a lie. I will definitely miss him.
“Bye. *chu*” He sent me a flying kiss and went away. That guy is always successful in making my heart beat faster.

Chapter 4
Yuko was patiently waiting for Riku at the classroom for more than an hour. Riku received an invitation to go to the Art Club and he is now there while she was alone another classmate inside the room. Her train of thoughts was interrupted by that cute classmate.
“Oshima-chan, can you please pass these papers to Itou-sensei? I need to start my cleaning duties at the rooftop right now and my partner has been waiting.” The cute classmate placed the papers on Yuko's desk without asking the other girl's consent and then dash out from the classroom.
“Eh?...” Yuko slowly looked at the papers and remembered that the teacher whom she was going to pass the papers wanted those right away after dismissal. Not to mention, that sensei is hot headed too. Yuko will surely be reprimanded if she passes those papers now.
“Why did she ask me to do it now? It's way past dismissal!” Yuko whined. Even though it's against her will, as a good person she didn't want the cute classmate to get in trouble for that cute girl has always been a great and diligent student.
Yuko slowly opened the classroom and scanned the hallway carefully. Lately Yuko noticed that whenever she is alone, there is always something bad that will happen to her. When she went to the restroom alone yesterday she slipped on spilled water after she got out from the cubicle. The other day early in the morning, a bubble gum got stuck in her skirt from her chair. There was also an incident that a pot fell down from the sky and it almost hit her. Yuko herself knew that those were not made by destiny but are probably done by Riku's admirers. She didn't want Riku to worry about her so she kept quiet about it.
Her journey towards the faculty room was surprisingly peaceful. There were no attacks at all and that made Yuko more nervous of what those girls are up to this time. Yuko got Goosebumps as she opened the faculty room. The first person she saw was the hot headed teacher with a scowl on her face. Yuko gulped hard before heading to the scary teacher.
“Uh. Good afternoon Itou-sensei. Here are the papers from 2-C.” Yuko tried to make her voice sound normal but her fear overpowered her determination to be strong at the teacher's incoming harsh remarks.
The teacher's right eyebrow was at its highest peak. “Good afternoon? Hah! My afternoon would have been good only if no stupid student passed the papers an hour after the time I set!” Itou-sensei said harshly that it caught the attention of the other teachers.
“But I'm not the one who wa-“ Yuko was cut off by the teacher.
“Excuses! You are just lazy. I'll remember you at deliberation Oshima. Now get out of here. I don't want to see your face.”
“I'm sorry.” Yuko timidly said and bowed before going out from the faculty room.
“That old woman. She didn't even let me explain.” Yuko pouted and headed back to the classroom.
“Kyaa!” Yuko let out a small scream when she felt that her waist was hugged by someone from behind and she was given a peck on her cheek. Feeling the lips familiar, Yuko looked at the culprit and found a smiling Riku.
“Hey.” Riku slowly let go of Yuko to let her face him.
“Riku don't surprise me like that.” Yuko puffed to show her irritation in Riku's reaction. But Riku noticed that Yuko's cheeks were flushing so he decided to tease her a little.
“Are you blushing because you're mad or maybe...” Riku went closer to Yuko's face and Yuko tried not to react from the sudden closeness but her cheeks were against her as it was becoming red. “You like it deep in your heart.” That did it. Yuko's face became redder at being discovered.
“I don't like it at all. Hmph!” Yuko folded her arms and looked away from Riku.
Riku caressed Yuko's cheeks that made Yuko look at Riku. “I'm sorry for teasing you. You are just too cute that I can't help it.” Riku said while smiling.
Yuko's heart has been beating crazily from Riku's actions. “Mou! When will you stop teasing me?” Yuko thought that what Riku just said was still a joke because he has been smiling non-stop.
“I'm serious here.” Riku's smile never left his face making Yuko think that he was still joking.
“As if I believe you. Let's go already.” Yuko walked ahead fast.
“Why don't you believe it?” Riku asked and caught up with Yuko's pace.
“You are smiling like you are expecting those reactions from me.”
“Oh, actually the art club asked me to be their model today and I have been smiling for more than an hour without taking a break. I can't seem to take the smile off and my face feels numb.”
Yuko looked at Riku's face intently if he was really telling the truth. His smile was too dazzling that instead of inspecting his face Yuko ended up staring at him. Riku knew that Yuko finds him handsome but he didn't know until to what extent. Instead of snapping Yuko back to earth, Riku just let Yuko stare at him as he stared back at her.
They have been staring for almost 5 minutes so Riku decided to cut it off by giving Yuko a fast surprise peck on the lips.
“?!”
“Don't stare at me like that or else I will melt Yuu-chan.” Riku didn't give Yuko a chance to retort back. To hide his embarrassment from his bold move, he immediately got hold of Yuko's wrist and dragged her to the classroom. It's not like Yuko can say anything anyway. It was quite a while since their first kiss so Yuko was shocked with the sudden kiss.
Yuko was still in daze when they got into the classroom. “Um... This is a problem.” Riku said.
“Hm?” Yuko finally snapped out.
“My handsomeness powers up whenever I smile. I might attract more girls along the way and they might chase me. We have to do something about this.” Riku said with a smile but with a hint of a problematic tone. Yuko started to laugh at Riku's situation.
“Why are you laughing? I don't see anything amusing from this.”
“Your tone is totally different from your expression. This is very interesting.” Yuko's laugh had gotten louder.
‘Geez, just a while ago you where mesmerized by me but now you're laughing at me.’ Riku thought.
Yuko's loud laugh finally mellowed out and she coughed a little. Although Riku was smiling, he was too silent. “Okay, I'm finish.” Yuko said. “Try not to move with me, alright?” Riku nodded and wondered what Yuko was planning. Yuko touched Riku's cheeks, pinched them very hard, and stretched it as long as it can.
“OooOww! YuuKoo stooop iiittt! Aaahh!”
Yuko let of Riku's cheeks. “Hey it actually worked! You're not smiling anymore.”
Riku touched his face and went to the window to look at his face. “Wow. Thanks Yuu-chan.”
“I'm amazing, aren't I?” Yuko proudly said and winked.
“Yes you are! I will treat you for some sweets later to show my gratitude.” Riku said and placed his arm at Yuko's shoulder.
“You just wanted me to accompany you in going to a pastry shop where guys are ashamed to go.”
“I'm sorry but I really want to eat there. The foods displayed were too cute that I want to taste them now! Their interior design is very cute too. I really want to go there Yuu-chan.” Riku's aura was too girly for Yuko to take. She can't say no though, she loves seeing Riku extremely happy and she is about to see it once again if she says yes to him.
“As long as it's your treat.”
“Yes! What are we standing here for? Let's go!” Both got their bags and then Riku happily took Yuko's free hand.

Yuko was amaze by the shop in front of her. It was more girly than the previous pastry shops they've been too. It was totally covered with pink and the pictures of dishes displayed outside looks ridiculous to her eyes. No normal designs of cakes were found. Meanwhile, Riku was totally overjoyed. His eyes were sparkling to the max.
“Finally! I can now come here without embarrassing myself. Let's get inside now!” Riku's grip on Yuko's hand got tighter as he dragged her inside the shop.
“Welcome to A Girl's Sweet Desire.” The waitress greeted the two elegantly. Riku caught the eyes of the other customers. It was very rare to see a guy customer in these kinds of shops unless it was a gay. The chatters of the girls became whispers as they debated if the handsome guy was gay.
“Table for two please.” Riku immediately said and ignored the other customers' stare at him.
“Right this way Sir.” The waitress led them to their table which was next to the glass wall. The waitress gave the menu to let the two decide what to order.
Yuko was shocked of how super expensive the sweets were. “Riku? Aren't these cakes too expensive?”
“As I said it's my treat so don't worry about it.”
“But you’re always treating me. I think you are too generous.”
“Yuko, just think this is my way to repay you for pretending to be my girlfriend. And didn't you say before that I'm using you to get inside girly shops? Think of that as another thing I need to pay but at the same time something I enjoy.”
“But still. I feel you should not pay me this much.”
“If you feel that way then let's do PDA in school.” Riku calmly said.
Yuko instantly blushed and hid her face behind the menu. Just the thought of getting more intimate with Riku in public made her imagine hot scenes with him. “What kind of suggestion is that? That's too embarrassing.”
“I can't think of anything else to make your job heavier. But isn't that a great idea?”
Yuko placed the menu down and pointed at Riku. “It's a very bad idea. Never mention that anymore.”
Since Yuko was still blushing heavily so Riku decided to tease her. “Are imagining us making-out without shame in public Yuu-chan?” Yuko flinched and Riku was surprised that he got it right but he continued. “I'm not against it. Feel free to eat my lips in front of everyone whenever you want.” Riku said happily.
“Where did the guy who was afraid to get kissed by me went off to?” Yuko then sighed.
“He found out that you are the safest girl than the other disgusting girls out there and he had become fond to the taste of your lips.” Riku ended it with a wink.
Being alone with Riku was always bad for Yuko's heart. There are times when she can't tell if he was joking or not, if his flirting was real or just a pretend. The guy can always make Yuko's heart flutter without fail and Yuko will always ended up blushing hard. Their pretend was starting make Yuko crazy with Riku being a sweet boyfriend. This always happens whenever they are on a date, Riku forever making Yuko blush without limits.
The waitress came back to the two and saved Yuko from further getting teased by Riku. “Are you ready to take your orders?” The waitress asked.
“Yes, I will have one slice of Waltz Paradise and another one slice of Twinkle Little Cake. My drinks will be Flowing Stream Tea.” Yuko felt that Riku must have prepared what he will order even before they came inside.
“What about you Miss?” The waitress turned her attention to Yuko who was completely lost on what to order. The names of their cake gave her no idea on what's its flavor so she looked at Riku for help.
“She will have one slice of Hide and Seek Princess and A Princess’ Afternoon Tea.” Riku said to the waitress. The waitress repeated the order and went to the counter.
Yuko scanned the menu again and found out that Riku ordered the most expensive cake and tea for her. “Riku why did you ordered those for me?”
“Maybe because I wanted to make your job as my fake girlfriend become heavier.”
“Why?” Yuko was sighed as she prepared her heart. She recognized where this conversation is going.
“I want to level up our pretend by doing more acting. Let's boldly display our affections in public.” Riku said in a serious tone.
“Not again with this.”
“Hey, you knew where that question will lead you yet you still asked.”
“I had a small hope that you will answer me sincerely.” Yuko didn't receive a reply but she knew Riku was about to respond but the waitress arrived with their orders.
The cakes don’t look edible to Yuko. It looked more like scrapbook accessories pasted in the triangular cake. She still doesn't understand where the cakes got its names. She judged the weird naming sense of the owner of this shop. Yuko was not impressed with the shop's product but Riku was totally shinning when their cakes arrived. He was obviously enjoying looking at the cute designs of the cakes. Even though Yuko is a girl she can't understand why girls loves these kind of things especially Riku.
Riku took a bite on his two cakes. “This is heaven. It's very delicious. Try yours now Yuu-chan.”
Yuko hesitantly munched the weird looking cake and was surprised with its taste. “It is delicious. The sweetness is just right.”
“It should be. It's the most expensive in their menu. Here, try mine too.” Riku took a slice from his cake and use his fork to feed it to Yuko.
Yuko shyly bite the cake from his fork. ‘An indirect kiss. Not to mention the customers has started to watch us again. This is really embarrassing. Since when can he do this so casually with a big audience?’
“It's delicious too, right?” Riku said. Yuko nodded. She can't concentrate much on what she was eating because Riku just fed and it was occupying her mind. How she wish he would do that again.
“Give me some of yours too.” Riku said. Yuko was startled by that but she obliged. She wouldn't miss this opportunity to feed him too. Riku was excited, either it's because he was going to taste the specialty of that shop or maybe because Yuko was about to feed him but Yuko hoped it was the latter.
“Mm! It's the best! Wait, you haven't tasted the other cake I ordered. Here.” Riku lifted his fork again near Yuko's mouth and fed her. Yuko didn't expect her wish to be granted very soon. She munched the cake but she can't focus on knowing its taste. Her heart was pounding so fast and her eyes won't go away from Riku. The experience was too much for her to take. The other customers were also looking at them with amusement. At least the stares Yuko got with the girls inside the shop were not life threatening unlike in school. If ever one of Riku's fan girls saw this then those bad incidents might escalate.
Yuko was unfortunately right...

I decided to let Yuko meet her bullies in the next chapter. The date in this chapter was supposed to be very short but I got carried away. :nervous I'm very sleepy now so if there are any grammatical mistakes please let it slide for now.

Chapter 5
It was another beautiful day with the birds chirping, the sakura petals falling, and the gentle wind flowing. Despite the relaxing morning Yuko felt that Riku's fangirls will do more dangerous stunts on her later. She wanted to talk to them but every time she fell or almost fell from their tricks they always vanish like a ninja giving Yuko no clue about who these girls are.
As Yuko opened her shoe locker she found a black paper. “A letter?” Yuko opened the black letter with white chiller font.
Greetings Oshima Yuko, you must have had an idea of who could send this letter to you. Yes, you are right. It is us who love Riku. We couldn't take your closeness to him anymore you stubborn girl who couldn't take a hint! So meet us at the stockroom located behind the gym after school! Do not be a coward and come here alone, you understand?! Don't you dare tell Riku-sama about this.

“These girls... They are obsessed already.” Yuko said while reading the letter again that can be mistaken to have been made by the occult club. “This is a great opportunity to tell them to stop all of this.”
“An opportunity to tell what?” A voice sneaked behind Yuko.
“Acchan?! Why are you here so early?” Yuko crumpled the paper in panic.
“What do you mean? I'm always early. And I do my student council works every morning so that I will have less work in the afternoon.”
“Oh... Uh. Being the Kaicho is hassle huh?” Yuko said nervously while Atsuko was looking at her intensely.
“Not really. By the way Yuko, what is that letter all about?” Atsuko shifted her gaze towards the crumbled paper.
“This is nothing. Hahaha.” ‘I got to distract her.’ God was at Yuko's side as he saw Kai's figure outside. “Hey it's Kai! You must have planned another date early in the morning, didn't you? I don't want to be in the way so see you guys later.”
Yuko placed the letter in her pocket for safe keeping preventing Riku from seeing it and ran away from Atsuko. She would rather face the girls alone or else Riku might cease their pretending if he finds out she is being bullied because of him. She wants to stay as his even if she is just a fake girlfriend.

Atsuko was not able to pester Yuko about the letter because the student council had an emergency meeting. At the lunch it was only Riku and Yuko. Kai won't eat together with them if Atsuko is not around.
“Class as you all know summer break is coming.” The students yelled with joy with the adviser's reminders. “But it also means more homework. So please before enjoying your vacation kindly finish your homeworks first. That's all. Class dismissed.” All the students rushed outside to officially feel freedom from lectures. Only Riku and Yuko were left at the classroom.
“Ne Yuu-chan, I'll walk you home.” Riku said.
“Thanks Riku but I have something to do.” Yuko politely refused Riku's invitation.
“I can always wait for you.”
“But it might really take me long. Wait. You're planning on taking me to another pastry shop, aren't you?”
“Uh yeah.” Riku laughed nervously at being caught.
“No way. I will not eat sweets this summer so don't expect me to accompany you near those shops. My goal this summer is to lose weight and not the opposite.”
“But you have a fast metabolism and you didn't get fat at all. You are still slim.”
“Don't fool me. I'm sure I'm getting fatter and heavier. I'm growing wider and not taller!” Yuko touched her cheeks and arms to feel the parts that had been growing wider lately.
“Trust me, you are not fat at all. And your weight? Let me see then.” Riku carried Yuko like a princess in his arms with ease.
“Wha-?! Riku put me down. If someone sees us.” Yuko blushed and tried to push Riku to let her down.
“What are you embarrassed about? It's only us in here. Everybody went home to spend their vacation. It's not like we're doing something indecent here.”
“Not that! I just... don't want you to know how heavy I am...” Yuko voice gets tinier in every word she said which was cute in Riku's eyes.
“Nah. You're super light. See.” Riku threw Yuko in the air which made Yuko scream.
“Kyaa!” Yuko fell back to Riku's arms safely. “Baka Riku! That was dangerous! What if you couldn't catch my fall because I'm heavy.” Yuko smacked Riku's head.
“Ow! Ugh. I told you are light so I'm confident I can catch you. I'll do it again.” Hearing Riku's last statement made Yuko afraid and hugged Riku tightly while shutting her eyes. Riku was not able to continue throwing Yuko in the air because he got distracted to the closeness in their faces and Yuko's scared expression made him stop.
Yuko felt the time went slower. She dreaded waiting to be lifted in the air again but nothing was happening in the past few seconds. It must be her imagination or Riku was trolling on her.
Yuko opened her eyes upon feeling those warms lips in her forehead. “Riku?” Yuko wondered why Riku suddenly kissed her forehead.
“I will catch you in your every fall. I will save even if you don't ask me to.” Their eyes locked for a few seconds. Both had been blushing and don’t know what to say next.
‘Why is he saying this?’ Yuko thought.
“Maybe I should carry you like this until we reach your house.” Riku said and completely changed the awkward atmosphere.
“Wh-what?” Yuko blushed at the thought. She wouldn't mind that but that's another embarrassing thing to do. Just imagine the faces of the people they come across staring at them for being too lovey-dovey. “I have something to do now so please put me down.”
“Can't you just do that after vacation is over?”
“No. I need to settle it now.”
“Okay then I will go with you.”
“No. I want to go there alone. You go home alone ahead. Please.” It seems that Riku will be stubborn in this case so Yuko let out here secret weapon that had always worked on Riku. Yuko's puppy eyes made its work and destroyed the strong mindset Riku had a while ago of not giving up in trying to make Yuko walk home with him.
Riku let out a heavy sigh and put Yuko down. “Fine. I will walk home alone but you owe me a date.” Yuko rolled her eyes. She was sure Riku was upset because he didn't get the chance to go to another pastry shop and used 'date' as an alibi.
“I told you I'm going nowhere those fattening foods. Mou, I'm going already. Stay safe.” Yuko intended to give Riku a peck on the cheek but she wanted to give herself an encouragement in meeting Riku's fangirls later so she gave him a kiss on the lips. What Riku thinks of what she had done doesn't matter for now. Besides, Riku usually steal kisses from her be it on the lips or not so why should she not do the same? Before Riku can react Yuko instantly took her bag and dashed outside.
Yuko slowed down her pace as she was nearing at the back of the gym where her enemies await for her arrival. “You can fight against them Yuko. You can.” Yuko said to herself and took a deep breath before sliding the heavy door. It was the kind of door that can only be locked from the outside with the use of a wood. Yuko went inside and didn't close the door.
Yuko carefully observed her surroundings. The stockroom was big, dark, and stuffy. She looked for the switcher of the lights but she found none so the light from the door was the only source of light. There were tons of shelves lined up and some had spider webs on it. Boxes were scattered along the way as Yuko looked where her enemies are. As she reached the furthest part of the room she saw a big black empty cartolina and an ultraviolet flash light. Yuko flash the light at the cartolina and a message addressed to her was revealed.
We warned you many times Oshima Yuko. We will be frank this time. You and Riku-sama must break up and if summer vacation finishes with you two still together we will show no mercy to you anymore. Just to make sure this message will register in your small stubborn brain we will lock you up here. Who knows when you'll get outta there since we are going home after we lock you up. Enjoy your stay. ψ(｀∇´)ψ
“Lock me up here?!” Yuko said but the fangirls heard this from the outside and took this as a cue that Yuko had finished reading their message. Yuko heard the door sliding and tried to run to it but she was too late. The girls had already locked it with a wood.
“Damnit! You are the ones who are the coward! You guys didn't face me and only gave paper!” Yuko slammed the door with all her might.
“Whatever!” The girls from the other side replied mockingly. “You deserve this! Hah!” This time the girls left Yuko.
“Oi! Come back here!” Yuko repeatedly slammed the door with her bare hand but she didn't get any respond. She rummaged in her bag to look for her phone but...
“Where is my phone?” Yuko then remembered she probably left it at her desk.
“I will catch you in your every fall. I will save even if you don't ask me to.”
“Riku. Ha, he can't save me. I told him to go home alone after all.. but maybe.” Yuko shook her head for creating herself hope. She looked around the stockroom to find anything that can be useful to set free from the stockroom.
Meanwhile with Riku, he stared off to space after receiving a kiss from Yuko. “Is this what she feels whenever I steal a kiss from her?” Riku touched his lips and the placed the other hand on his chest to feel his rapid heartbeat. He stayed at the classroom to think more.
“1 2 3 4! ♪♪♪ I want you~ I need you~ I love you~♪” A ringtone disturbed Riku's self-reflection.
“Huh? Isn't that Yuu-chan's ringtone?” Riku went closer to sound and found himself closer to Yuko's desk. Ducking down Riku saw Yuko's phone vibrating throughout the song inside the desk.
Riku answered the phone. “Moshi moshi.”
“Riku? Why are you ans- What am I asking? You are Yuko's boyfriend. Can you pass the phone to Yuko?” Atsuko asked.
“She's not here.”
“Where is she?” Atsuko asked worryingly.
“I don't know and she told me to go home ahead. But she left her phone at her desk.”
“Riku, Yuko received a suspicious letter this morning and I have a bad feeling about it. Can you look for her just to be sure she didn't run into trouble? I want to do it myself but I'm going to be stuck in the meeting for next hour.”
“A suspicious letter?” Riku became nervous. Something bad must be happening to Yuko right now.
“Search the whole school, okay?”
“Yes, I won't stop until I found her. Do you really have no idea what that letter could be?”
“Your fangirls must be connected to it, I think? I'm not hundred percent sure though. I'm hanging up already. Bye.” Riku got worried for Yuko. He admitted to himself that Yuko has been occupying his mind that he forgot that he had fangirls and what they can do to Yuko.
Riku went out of the classroom and searched every room in the building for Yuko. He even went to the girl's restroom to be sure. He spent half an hour in going around the building but he never found Yuko.
“Where is she? She's nowhere to be found.” Riku opened a window to get some fresh air and saw the gym. “The gym. I haven't searched there!” Riku went downstairs as fast as he can. He searched the whole gym but Yuko was not there either. Getting outside Riku walked around the gym and found the stockroom.
“No way. It's locked so she can't be. But to be sure.” Riku slid away the wood and unlocked the door.
“Ah! Finally!” A familiar happy voice greeted him as he walked inside.
“Yuko!” Riku ran towards Yuko and gave her a bear hug. “You idiot I was really worried about you!”
“R-riku how did you know that I was..?” Yuko asked in a weak voice while in Riku's embrace.
“Atsuko told me you received a suspicious letter this morning.” Riku broke the hug to see Yuko clearly. “Yuko, tell me the truth. Are you being bullied by my fangirls behind my back?” Yuko was fidgeting and it was an enough answer for Riku. “Those girls.” Riku said in despise.
“But I'm fine.” Yuko said but that made Riku frustrated.
“You're fine? How can you be fine?! What if Atsuko didn't saw the letter and never told me about it?! What would happen if nobody saved you today?! What if you stayed a month here with no food and water? That's not fine at all!” Riku can't help but raise his voice. Many bad things could happen to Yuko here.
“But you came. You were true to your words even if you said it not long ago.” Yuko's voice was back in being weak as if she didn't want Riku to hear her. She was looking down and her hands were trembling too. Seeing Yuko like this Riku soften.
“As much as possible I want to prevent you to be in danger. Next time tell me when they disturb or do anything to you, okay?” Riku gently cupped Yuko's cheeks with his warm hands. Yuko nodded. “Promise?” Riku said.
‘It doesn't seem like he wants to break up after what happened to me.’ Yuko thought. “Promise.”
“Good. Let's get out of here before we got locked in.” Riku held Yuko's hand and led her to the exit.
“Yuko do you have any idea who these girls are?”
“Uh, your fangirls?”
“I know that. What I meant is do you personally know them?”
“No, they didn't even show themselves to me. I only heard two voices of the girls but they were not familiar to me.” Riku’s fangirls are quite many and since he doesn't have any much interest in them he immediately forgot their faces.
“I will surely...” Riku grip on Yuko's hand got tighter.
Yuko asked a question which has been bugging her. “Do you want to call it quits?”
Riku stopped in his tracks and faced Yuko. “What?”
“Do you want to stop what we're doing? Pretend that we're dating in front of everyone.”
“Do you want to?”
“Hey I asked you first.”
“But I dragged you in doing this with me so your feelings are prioritized. Do you want to quit?”
“No.” Yuko said in monotone. She doesn't want to be figured out that she totally enjoys being Riku's girlfriend but Riku thought otherwise.
“You can always tell me when you can't take it anymore. I can't bother you forever after all.” Riku looked at the ground with sad eyes.
“O-okay..”
The atmosphere then became awkward. No one spoke another word to each other not until a certain short guy thankfully broke it.
“What are you guys doing here?” Kai asked.
Riku and Yuko turned their attention to Kai. “We were just exploring the school to find something uh.. Unusual.” Yuko said and received a confusing stare from Riku. Riku wondered why Yuko didn't told Kai about the unfortunate thing that had happened to her despite their closeness.
“Oh.” Kai said completely not believing the two.
“What are you doing here yourself Kai?” Yuko asked.
“Just killing time before Atsuko finishes her meeting.”
“Are you two on a date after her meeting?” Yuko asked another question.
“It's not a date. Besides I just want to walk her home to make sure she reaches her home safe.” Kai said while his face turned to shades of red. Both the pretending couple smiled at Kai's change in facial color.
"Are you sure you two are not going out?" Riku asked. Of course, Kai's face became redder.
“That's right. You two are behaving more couple-like ever since we became second years. It's really suspicious.” Yuko eyed Kai and he started to sweat. Being childhood friends with Kai, Yuko knew what it means. “Why are you two keeping it a secret?” Yuko hit the bull’s-eye.
Kai sighed sadly. “We are not keeping it a secret. We just don't know how to say it. Nobody asked about us too.”
“Because it’s looks normal. You two acted the same but with a little difference. You two are really dating? When?” Yuko asked. She did noticed that the two are frequently going out alone but she thought that it was their usual outing that was starting to become often. Yuko also thought that Kai might not be able to confess until they graduate from college.
“Just this June.”
“Not that long.” Riku commented.
“You guys are also already together that time.” Kai chimed. Actually Riku and Yuko didn't tell anyone that they were just pretending being lovers just to be sure their secret is safe.
“I'm leaving you guys. I know you two wanted to be alone. We all loved to be alone with our lovers.” Kai said while eyeing at the joint hands of the two lovers before turning his back against them and walked away. Both realized that they actually didn't let go of one another since they went out from the stockroom. Not to mention that both are holding each other tightly.
Yuko, who was feeling shy, loosen her grip but Riku tighten it more. “Let's go.” Riku said. Yuko was encouraged to hold his hand tight again and gave Riku a cheerful smile.
Good thing for Yuko that Riku walked her home straight. She's safe from foods with high calories that day.

As I stated in ISWAB I will not be updating any of my fanfics this month because I need to work hard for my finals. There are some subjects that I'm worried with and I want to pass all with satisfying grades. I want to become a second year(I hope I will be a second year next semester) without regrets from my first year grades.
Please do wait for the next update patiently. This fanfic will not be updated until I updated my first fanfic ISWAB twice. That fanfic is my first priority for it is about my lovely kame OTP so I have more inspiration in there. Please understand and as much as possible please refrain from bumping in my threads and ask me to update.

Chapter 6
Yuko's POV
It's been more than a week since I last saw Riku. He calls me every day to go out but I always refuse. Why? Because I was serious when I said I'll stay away from those pastry shops. I checked my weight only to find out that I really did gain weight. I have to make up for all the eating I did. Surprisingly Riku stopped asking me out since yesterday. I wonder what happened to him.
Since I have been staying in the house I decided to go out by myself. It's nice to go out alone once in a while. In the past few months I have always been with Riku. It's time for me to have time by myself and my destination is Shibuya. I plan to look for an awesome sneaker that would fit me. I just love sneakers. If ever I would earn my own money then I will surely spent it on a personalized sneaker. I'm even wearing a sneaker right now rather than the heels or wedge that teenagers use nowadays.
As I walk around Shibuya, I found a lot of sneakers that caught my eyes. Sadly, I don't have enough money yet to buy the one that I like the most. I should look for a part time job now if I still want to that sneaker. But I'm in the wrong place right now. I should just look for a job tomorrow near my home.
*Growl*
Time flew so fast that I forgot about lunch. “Okay buddy I will look for a place to eat just be patie-.” I find myself falling down from bumping to a person.
“Ow..” That was kinda painful. I heard the person I bumped to gasp loudly. I turned my attention towards the girl, who was wearing a summer dress with an unseasonal jacket under the hot season, I bumped into. She immediately stood up and apologized then ran away. She's sort of rude. She did apologized but she covered her face with her long brown hair. She didn't even help me to stand up and left me right away.
When I tried to stand I noticed a phone lying on the ground. It was the same spot where the girl was. Being a good citizen, I took the phone and called out for the girl. Unfortunately, with the sea of people she didn't hear me and also our distance was too big since she was fast walking.
“Is she in hurry or something?” I ran towards the girl. Almost nearing her I called her out. “Miss!”
Surprisingly recognizing my voice with her stopping in her tracks as a sign, she then started to run away from me.
“Eh!? Wait! Miss you left your phone!” I shouted but she continued to run.
Not giving up, I ran as fast as I can in the sea of people muttering apologies as I occasionally bump to people. It didn't take me long to catch up with her since she was wearing heels. I didn't call her out anymore because she might just speed up. I grabbed her arm instead and the chase was over.
“Miss, your phone.” I said while catching my breath. “You left it- EH!?”
I was astounded when I saw the face of the girl. She looks exactly like Riku! I just noticed that her phone is also the same model and color of Riku's phone. What a coincidence! I know that at that moment my mouth was open wide from the shock and because of the beauty of the being in front of me. Riku is handsome and his girl version is inhumanly beautiful.
“Th-thank you.” The girl said but I noticed something suspicious in her voice. Her voice was way too far to my impression from her overall appearance. It was sort of trying hard to sound like a girl. To be more accurate, it was like a guy trying to high pitch his low voice.
Oh no.. Don't tell me. This can't be! But I saw his closet once and it was full of-
The girl took her phone from my hand and was about to break my hold on her arm but I held on it tighter. I just noticed that her arm feels hard for a girl. Before I let her go I need to ask her.
“Riku? Is that you?” The girl widens her eyes and this time she successfully got away from my grasp.
It is him. “You're not getting away Mister.”
Round 2 of chasing began. It seems that Riku has started to get used in wearing heels by running. He ran faster than a while ago making the chase lengthier. But I'm sure he won't last long unless he has been wearing heels since he was born. Damnit. Why is Shibuya so crowded!? This is not good. I’m losing my sight on him. I bumped into a lot of people slowing me down and I happen to bump into someone I don't like.
“Whoa there.” The guy said and grabbed my arm making me unable to escape him. Ugh! Why now!?
“I'm sorry for bumping at you but can you let go now? I'm chasing someone.” I said.
“It hurts you know and a simple apology won't do.” He smirked. This guy. I knew he was trouble ever since I saw him at the cinema.
“How about a date like right now Yuko-chan?” The arrogant guy pulled me closer to him with his smirk never leaving him face. I seriously want to punch his face right now. How dare of him to call me Yuko-chan when this is just the second time we met!
“Excuse me Taketatsu-san but I have a boyfriend so a date is a big no and I'm in the middle of chasing somebody right now.” I replied and removed his hold on me but he was fast and captured my arm once again.
“So cold Yuko-chan and call me Kyousuke.”
“I'm more comfortable calling you by your family name Taketatsu-san.” I gave a fake sweet smile.
“Then let's spend more time together so that you will be more comfortable to me.” He winked while I cringed. The playboy type indeed. “So let's go out on a date. Who knows we might be perfect for each other.” He added. Is he stubborn or just plain stupid? I have a boyfriend even though it's only a pretend but I still have a boyfriend.
“I have a boyfriend.” I said once again.
“Just keep it a secret to Kojima. I promise I'm much more fun to be with than that guy.” He said seductively and his gaze was filled with mischievousness. I don't like where this is going. He is definitely planning something bad to me.
“My type of boys is exactly Riku's type and not like yours so I'm sure we won't match.” I said coldly but his smirk only grew bigger.
“They said that your partner for life is usually someone you never expected to be with you in the future.”
“That is true to some people but it definitely does not apply to me.”
He laughed a little. “The more we talk the more I like you Yuko-chan.”
“The irony. The more we talk the more I dislike you.”
“Hm? I'm sure with just one kiss that will change.” He swiftly put his hands on my cheeks and pulled me closer to his face while closing his eyes.
You won't be getting what you want you bastard. Get ready for my-
*BAM!*
Slap?...
In a split of second, I heard a loud thud and found Taketatsu lying on the ground while rubbing his about to swell right cheek. My view on that arrogant guy was blocked by a familiar back.
“Back off Taketatsu. She's my girl.” My pretend boyfriend said in a menacing tone. So this is how it feels to be saved by a guy you like. I felt that I'm very important to him. I must be blushing by now.
“I was just kidding man.” Taketatsu got up. “I'm not planning on making a move to your girl, seriously.”
“That was not funny and don't go around touching girls so closely like that especially when they have a boyfriend. You will get in trouble Taketatsu.” Riku said maintaining his menacing voice. This is the first time I saw Riku mad. This is worthwhile to see since he rarely gets angry.
“I'll remember that. Jeez, you get jealous easily Kojima. You shouldn't be afraid if your girl is close to another guy unless you doubt that she loves you.” I swear I felt Riku's angry aura got bad.
“Only I can touch Yuko like that. Know your limits Taketatsu.” Riku is starting to scare me.
“Hai hai. I'm sorry for the trouble. I'll go now or else Kojima-chan will kill me.” I know that apology was not sincere at all and he even joked before walking away. What a bad guy. I wish I will never see his face ever again.
“Chan!?” Riku angrily said.
“Thank you Riku.”
Riku faced me and gave a weary smiled. “Don't mention it.”
“You were so cool acting the hero.” I saw Riku's cheeks began to turn pink but he then frowned.
“Eh? Acting? But I was...”
“Hm? What?” I know he did that to save me as a friend but said I'm his girl to convince more that we're dating.
“Nevermind.” He shrugged it off. It must not be important. I intertwined our hands. I need to get hold of him or else he will run away again because of what I will say.
“Since you saved me I forgive you for running away from me twice today.” I watched him in amusement as his face turned pale.
“Whatareyoutalkingabout?IonlysawyoujustnowIwasnotthegirlwhomyouweretryingtocatchuptoreturnthephonethatwasnotme.” Riku said without pausing in panic. He is exposing himself.
But despite how fast he said it I still caught the important bits of what he said. “I didn't say anything about a girl and a phone.”
“.......” Riku gulped.
“Riku, it's alright. You can tell me that you're really a gay.” I said gently to make him admit although it hurts I need to do it because he is my friend. I don't want him to keep his feelings to himself all the time especially when it comes to this kind of topic.
“Wait. All this time you were thinking I'm gay?” Riku asked.
“Um.. Yeah?” Riku shook his head and firmly grabbed my shoulders.
“Believe me Yuko I'm not gay. I just like cute things and some other you know... Girl stuff but I assure you that I don't see boys that way. I don't look at them romantically.”
“Hah.” I don't believe him.
“You don't believe me, don't you?”
“No?”
“Then why are you answering me like that? And your face is telling me you don't believe it.”
“You find majority of the girls disgusting, right?”
“Yeah but of course I don't think of you that way.”
“I know that already or else you wouldn't have the guts to act like you're stealing kisses and holding me too easily.” Riku loosen his hold on my shoulders and let his hands fall back beside him.
“You're the only girl I'm most comfortable to be with.” Riku's eyes were mesmerizing. I unconsciously find myself staring back at those eyes. Why do I always end up attracted to him in many ways? Is it not a crush anymore? Am I falling deeper? That's not good. I will only end up hurting myself. Make it stop Yuko, your feelings. Don't let it spread.
“Yuko, I.. I actually.. Um... I have someone I like.. and it's a girl.”
Eh? He likes someone?
“That's why please erase your impression of me that I'm a gay because I really really really like her. No. I love her.” Riku proudly said the last three words to me with a big smile.
“You do have...” My chest hurts. Suddenly saying that to me it really hurts. Also, you looked so happy when you told me you have someone you love. I really don't have a chance in your heart, huh Riku? For your revelation to hurt this much it seems that it was not just a crush after all.
“You're not gay?”
“Yeah, I'm not.”
Building up the courage to say something against my heart, I challenged Riku. “If you lik- I mean if you love her then confess to her.” I almost choked my words.
“Eh?” Riku gave me a dumbfounded look.
“Why eh? Don't you have any plan to confess to her in the first place?”
“I do have...” Riku hesitantly said. “But I'm satisfied with my relationship to her now and I'm not sure if she feels the same or maybe she doesn't look me the way I look at her.” They talk? I never exactly saw Riku with another girl aside me in school or maybe I missed her?
“Who.. Is she?” Forget it Riku! I don't want to know!
Riku stared at me around 10 seconds before answering. “Secret.” He smiled bitterly.
I felt relieved but at the same time hurt. I'm not yet ready to know who she is but I'm sure she's someone in Riku's league. A popular good girl. It hurts to know that I can't compete with such type of girl. I'm quite tomboyish. My outfit today reflects that. I'm wearing a short that is just until exactly above my knees, a simple printed t-shirt with a vest, and lastly my precious sneakers. I don't have a single dress bought by me. The only dress I have was the one Riku bought for me when she introduced me to her mother.
“Would you be happy if I confess to her?” Riku asked.
No, definitely no but I can't tell him the truth. “Yes, I'm sure you won't be rejected and this way you wouldn't lie to your mother that you're dating someone you truly like.”
“Are saying all of this because you are tired pretending as mine?”
“I guess I'm starting to get tired.” If we stayed too long pretending and I ended up falling harder the pain will be doubled once he hook up with the one he truly loves.
“I see...” Riku said sadly. “Confess, huh...”
It must be going to be his first time asking out a girl he loves. I gave a small smack at his shoulder. “You can do it.” I then curled my fist showing my support.
“Fine. I will do it when I gathered enough courage.” Riku forced a smile.
“Great.” My days as his pretend girlfriend are now counted.
*Growl*
“Uh..... Ehehe..” I scratched my not-scratchy-head in embarrassment. I forgot about my hunger because of what happened minutes ago. This is embarrassing. Riku is laughing loudly at me.
“Hahaha! You really know to change the subject Yuu-chan.”
“Ugh. That was unintentional.”
After a while Riku stopped laughing. “I haven't eaten yet too. Let's eat together?”
"Okay but take me somewhere that sells rice and not cake."
“Roger that.” Riku linked our hands and began to walk but I didn't bother to budge in my place which made Riku stop walking. “What's wrong?” Riku asked.
I stared at our linked hands. “I don't think we will cross path with someone we know any more so can you let go?”
Riku's face became blank for a second but then it became determined. “I don't wanna. Come on.”
“But!”
“Resistance is futile. I don't plan to let you go now. Come on before your stomach growls even louder.”
“Mou. Fine.” We ended up holding hands walking around looking for a good place to eat.
*At a fast food chain*
“So Riku, care to tell me how you became a cross dresser?” Surprised by my sudden curiosity, Riku spit out the water he was drinking.
“Guh.. Maybe next time?” Riku said while wiping the remnants of water around his mouth.
“I want to hear it now. We have a lot of time. Let me tell you in advance that I'm not giving up knowing why.” Riku knows what terrifying things I can do just to get what I want. I'm sure he wouldn't want to experience those again.
“Stubborn.” Riku whispered.
“You're saying something?” I fake a sweet tone and held my steak knife dangerously.
A bit scared, Riku answered weakly. “Nothing. It’s a long story.”
“It's alright. Can you start already?”
“Okay.” Riku took a deep breath before starting. “It started when I was still a third year middle school student in Mendol. Summer came and we were allowed to go back home. Mom was very busy that time so I was always alone but because of that my interest in cute and sweet things made me spend my summer by sewing and learning how to bake. I enjoyed summer because of those activities but I wanted to see more. I wanted to see other cute things and cakes made by others.” Riku paused and drank a little water.
“So... I walked around shops in Japan and went to those shops but I was always the only guy customer in there. Well aside from gays... Girls are also staring at me and I heard whispers from my back. I couldn't take those embarrassments so I figured that if I cross-dress they wouldn't mind me.”
“I see so that's how you ended up developing such hobby.”
“Hold on. Cross-dressing is not my hobby. I swear!” Riku said in denial but he was starting to sweat which means he is lying.
“Don't try to kid me. You sure have a lot of girly clothes for a guy.”
“Guh.. Fine. I admit it felt good that's why they became many but I haven't gotten the chance to wear them when we began our fake dating.”
“Eh? Really? Why?”
“Because there was no need to. I started cross-dressing to avoid the suspicious eyes of the society but then you came. I didn't need the disguise anymore because I can just pretend as the sweet boyfriend.”
“This whole dating thing really benefited you, huh?” I commented.
Riku looked at me apologetically. “I'm sorry. After this I will do anything you will ask me to.”
“I will remember your words. But Riku why did you cross-dress again?”
“You kept on refusing my invitations and I really want to go to this certain accessory shop so I went back to cross-dressing. And here I thought my feelings on it fade away. When I wore them again yesterday the feeling was the same when I cross-dress for the first time. It felt great.”
“The more reason you need to confess to your crush to stop cross-dressing and take her to your favorite girly places.”
“You are right...” Riku looked away from me and melancholically watched the passers by outside through the glass window beside him.
“Why do you sound so unconfident? She doesn't like you?” Whenever I mention about her he always wears this sad face.
“Probably. She's making me feel like that just recently.”
“Don't let that pull you down. I'll help if you want.” Why am I saying this?
“Nah, just watch Yuu-chan.” Great. I don't need to help but watching is also painful.
“Yuko.”
“Eh? Wh-what?” That surprised me. He rarely calls me by my name unless it's serious.
He smiled. “Nothing.” I looked back at him dumbfounded. It seems that he uses my name only when he feels to. I got worked up on that. I sighed and went back to eating.
My heart will undergo a lot of pain in the future. Be strong ne, heart-chan.

I'm really sorry it took me almost 2 months. I sort of gotten lazy and had an almost endless battle with procrastination. I managed to finally finish chapter 7. Here you go. :)
Chapter 7
Smelling the delicious scent from the kitchen, Riku's poor stomach growled louder. It's almost 11 o'clock yet he hasn't eaten his breakfast since he and Yuko planned to eat together in his place today. Yuko suggested she will cook for him for a change and Riku gladly agreed. Eating lunch with Yuko at school, Riku occasionally ask some bits of Yuko's lunch and each bite he gets was always excellent.
“When will she finish? I'm so hungry.” Riku lazily rolled back on his couch. Gathering all the energy he has he shouted for his fake girlfriend's name. “Yuu-chan!”
“10 minutes more!” Yuko responded from the kitchen.
“10.... I don't think I can still last that long... I'm so hungry. Yuu-chan..” Riku murmured to himself. He usually prepares his lunch around this time. Riku always wake up very early to do his weekend jogging. Today he did his exercise without any food greeting him as he finished and he is totally famished as of the moment. His situation didn't get any better that Yuko woke up late thus, she started cooking quite late.
Riku decided to rise up from his couch and went to Yuko. His hunger was already making his head dizzy. Arriving to his destination, he hugged Yuko from her back with his chin resting on Yuko's head.
“Riku?”
“I'm so hungry.....” Riku said weakly.
“I'm sorry but you still need to wait more. Why don't you sit or lay down for a while?” Yuko suggested as she kept on stirring the nikujaga (I know it’s too early to eat such dish but whatever XD) she's making.
“Hmm... Nah, I started to feel a little better when I hugged you. I'll hold you like this until you finish cooking.” Riku said with his eyes closed as he inhaled Yuko's sweet scent.
“Okay, but you need to let go when I need to get something.” Yuko said while Riku only gave a small “Mmm.”
“Smells nice.” Riku muttered.
“I know right. I'm getting hungry because of the smell too.” With Yuko's response Riku can't help but chuckle. Yuko pushed Riku a little but not enough to loosen Riku's hold on her and turned around to face him. “What's so funny?”
“Silly, I was talking about you.” Seeing Yuko's flustered face Riku can't help but chuckle more.
“Wh-what!? You're sniffing on me!?” Due to Yuko's embarrassment she unconsciously brought with her the ladle she was using and pointed it to Riku. With the ladle freshly taken out from the stack pot, the hot saucy soup from the nikujaga was spilled on Riku's shirt.
“Ow! Hot! Hot! Ow! Ow!” Riku immediately released Yuko and jumped from the burning sensation.
“Oh my gosh! Riku I'm so sorry. Ah! First aid! You need first aid! Water! Water!” Yuko panicky dragged Riku towards sink and wet the supposedly dish towel. Feeling that the towel is wet enough Yuko motioned to caress the wet towel on Riku's bare chest.
‘What was that!? Riku's bare chest!?’
It seems that while Yuko was wetting the towel Riku took off his shirt and our heroine here just realized that her fake boyfriend is currently half naked in front of her.
Yuko froze from her position with her mouth gaping seeing Riku's somewhat muscular body.
“Yuu-chan the pain is not there.” Riku said and guided Yuko's hand to where the pain was letting the towel along with Yuko's hand stay on him quite long. Unknown to Riku, who was very concerned with his minor burn, Yuko has been staring at his bare upper body for quite a while.
‘He's still 17. How come it looks like he has abs? And his upper arm is quite muscular too. Is it possible for a guy to have such in this age? I-I want to to-touch it BARE! The towel.. Should I purposely slip it or not? Don't miss this chance Yuko! But wait, I don't want to be a pervert in front of him!’ Yuko dizzily thought. To Yuko's dismay the towel has already finished its work and eased the pain for Riku.
“Thanks Yuu-chan. I'll go and change my shirt.” Riku lazily brought the towel with him leaving a sighing Yuko.
“........ I missed... The chance....” Yuko fell from her knees with the disappointment crumbling her down. “Damnit.”
*After 15 minutes*
“Itadakimasu.” The fake couple said in unison but in different tones. The guy was obviously excited to taste the meal and not to mention he is starving to death while the other girl said it with no spirit not yet getting over to the missed chance to touch Riku's muscles barely.
“Uwah! This is so delicious! You're really good at cooking Yuu-chan.” Riku praised the girl but was still unaware of Yuko's depressed aura. The food took all his attention.
“Thanks.” Yuko stared at Riku, who was eating his meal very fast, and slowly Yuko's spirit was lifted. Seeing her crush eating her homemade meal actively made her happy.
“Seconds please!” Riku handed his plate to Yuko who was sitting in front of him.
“Riku, the rice and the nikujaga is just in front of us.” Yuko eyed the dish she had placed in the middle of the table.
“I know but I want you to put the food on my plate.”
“I don't really understand but okay..” Yuko almost muttered and took Riku plate filling it with second helping.
“Thanks.” As soon as the full plate was back at Riku, he immediately empties the plate. “Another seconds please.”
“That was fast. Are you that hungry?” Riku ignored Yuko and continued eating. Once Riku's plate was empty he gave it to Yuko once again.
“Sorry, we ran out of rice.”
“What!!?” Riku drastically said like it's the end of the world.
“I'm sorry. I didn't know you eat this much since your bento is always only around 1 1/2 cup of rice so I only cooked enough for us...”
“Huuu...” Riku sulked in his place with the info Yuko said.
“I'll make more rice.” Yuko said but Riku ignored her and started playing with his spoon and fork.
“Riku I will cook more rice so don't ignore me here.”
“..........” Riku continued to ignore Yuko.
“Okay, what do you want?”
“...........”
“Riku stop being childish.” Instead of Riku stopping at his act he just pouted and made a sadder face which Yuko can't resist anymore.
‘Hnnngh! You're lucky that you're handsome and cute at the same time.’
“What do you want me to do? I'll do anything.” With that joy was brought back at Riku's face.
“Anything?!” Yuko sweat dropped from Riku's sudden enthusiasm.
“I take it back.”
“Wha-...” Riku went back to sulking.
Yuko sighed for giving up. She doesn't totally get why Riku suddenly started to act like a kid but she definitely doesn't like it when Riku is sad. “Fine. I won't take
back my words anymore. Tell me what you want and I'll grant it.”
In a split of second, the childish Riku disappeared and was replaced by his handsome normal serious face. ‘There is the Riku I knew. I hope what he asks is not something bizarre.’ Yuko could only hope for Riku's request to be something safe for her.
“You're free the whole day right? Then accompany me here today.” Riku said.
“We're not going out? Just here?” Yuko had to make sure she won't be near those shops Riku usually drag her to. Somehow she can't help but to be nervous again because she will stay a little longer than planned at Riku's place. She was nervous enough cooking for Riku at his place alone with him.
‘A lot of things could happen between a boy and a girl when they're alone.... As if. This is Riku. He doesn't think of me that way.’ Yuko dejected.
“Yeah, just here. Or do you want to go out?”
“No, I'm not in the mood to walk around.”
“Great. I bought movies some time ago and I haven't watch them yet.”
“That sounds good. Let's watch it.” Yuko smiled in relief that they are just going to watch a movie.
“You go ahead to the living room while I wash the plates.” Riku smiled and was completely back to normal.
‘Was the childish Riku I saw a while ago an illusion?’ Yuko thought before making her way to the living room.

Meanwhile on the other side of the town, the other couple is spending their precious time together in a different way. Standing in front of a cafe, a boy and a girl stared at the big tarpaulin plastered outside the cafe.
“This is it.” The not so tall guy said.
“Are you ready?” The girl asked with such mocking tone.
“Heh. Of course, I prepared myself for this.” The guy proudly said.
“Let me remind you that failure is unacceptable. We must win. The prize must go to us.”
Kai grabbed Atsuko's hand and kissed them tenderly. “I will not disappoint you Atsuko. I will do anything for you to be happy.” Kai's loving gaze while saying those manly words almost melted Atsuko's heart right there and then.
“I didn't eat last night's dinner and today's breakfast just for this event.” Kai continued.
Knowing this piece of information, Atsuko became worried for her boyfriend's current condition but at the same time she felt guilty. It's not because Kai didn't eat anything for more than 12 hours just for them to have a high chance in winning. It's because she didn't sacrifice her dinner and breakfast and ate normally (When I say normal for Atsuko it is 3 cups of rice, half kilo meat, 2 mountains of leafy vegetables, and 4 slices of cake) like she's not entering a fast eating sweets competition later.
“My poor Kai. How are feeling right now? Are you getting dizzy? You should eat a little to keep you sane.”
Kai was touched at her girlfriend's concern towards him, not knowing that guilt was making Atsuko act like that because she ate her dinner and breakfast, which was just an hour ago.
“I'm alright. Besides, being with you already drives me insane. Hungry or not, my heart is still steadily beating heavily for you. I will overcome my limits only for you Atsuko.” Atsuko blushed hard from Kai's cheesy words.
“Mou, people are starting to look at us.” Atsuko shyly said. With that Kai noticed that the other couple contestants has also arrived and were waiting for the cafe to open.
“I don't care. Let them see how much I love you. This is my only chance to show around the people that you're mine.” Kai tucked one side of Atsuko's hair behind her ear. Atsuko felt the loneliness and sadness in Kai's eyes.
“I'm sorry if I don't allow you to be like this with me at school. I'm the stude-“ Kai stopped Atsuko by placing his finger on her mouth.
“Hush. I know and I understand and always will because I love you.”
“Kai...” With that Atsuko hugged her boyfriend tightly. “I love you too.” Atsuko said loud enough for other people to hear. Kai's heart fluttered, Atsuko never showed her affection to him on public but she would always try to give back when they're alone.
A few seconds later, the crowd became excited. It's not because of KaiAcchan, the cafe finally opened. Atsuko broke the hug and held Kai's hand. “Let's win this.”
“Together.” Kai finished and the two went inside hand in hand.
After the registration, the couples were now seated to their assigned seats. All the tables of the cafe were placed next to each other to create 2 rows of long table.
“Wow, there are many of us...” Kai said.
“The numbers of competitors are nothing. Only think of winning this Kai.” Atsuko strictly said.
“Yes Ma'am.”
“Okay, all the contestants are here.” The MC of the contest, which is probably one of the maids, began. “Everyone! Welcome to Kira Kira Cafe's 5th Sweets Eating Contest!” The people clapped in response for the official start of the program.
“I know you guys want to start to the contest but let me explain the mechanics of the game clearly for the last time.” The MC mightily took out a piece of paper and energetically read it out loud.
“Here it goes, each person will eat a plate of dessert and has to finish it fast in order to get the next dessert. Your love will be challenged in this game. You are both given different plates but you are not allowed to share unless your partner surrenders. Once your partner is out, the one who remains will also eat the remaining desserts your partner was originally going to eat it. Basically, you will end up eating double when your partner gives up if you still want to win. Will you continue to eat even if you reached your limit? Will you give up the chance to win just because your partner couldn't take it anymore and your burden doubled!?”
The MC threw the paper and shouted “The first couple who finishes eating all the 10 desserts wins the contest and will receive a grand dinner at the most expensive and tallest part of Sky Tree for FREE!!!!”
The contestants started to heat up and yelled in excitement.
“Do you want the free dinner at Sky Tree!!” The MC shouted louder.
“Yes!!!!”
"Do you want to eat a famous, delicious, and expensive food!!!!”
“Yes!!!!!!”
"Do you want to eat with your lover while gazing at the beautiful lights emitted by the city!!!!”
“Yes!!!!!!!!”
“Then let’s start this already!!! At the count of 3 everybody must start eating!!!!”
“3!!!”
“2!!!”
“Oooonnnnneeeeeeeeee!!!!!”
The contest officially started and the couples gulp with all their might the sweet desserts coming to them. At the 6th plate the contestants one by one lost a partner and had to eat the plates their partners left to them.
‘Ughh.. The cakes are getting sweeter. But the level of sweetness won't stop me from going on a free expensive dinner date with Atsuko!’ Kai thought and stole a glance at Atsuko who looked like she can still eat more. ‘Atsuko is still doing fine. As a man I will not let her down!’
At the 7th dessert that is as big as the usual custard, half of the contestants completely surrendered. “The sweetness and size of the cakes levels up as the number of the plate rises! Who among these couples will win?”
At the 8th dessert with the size twice from the 7th cake, 3 couples were down leaving KaiAcchan and two other fat couples.
‘This is bad! I don't feel the taste of the cakes anymore! My tummy feels heavy and full!’ Kai dreadfully thought as he shoved in his mouth another piece of the cake. At the middle of finishing Kai's 8th plate he heard Atsuko whispered to him.
“Kai you can stop now. I can still handle the rest from here.” Atsuko whispered while giving him a worried look.
Kai didn't respond and only shoved a bigger piece of cake in his mouth. ‘I won't give up! I will not leave Atsuko to win this alone!’ Atsuko got worried more but she knew she can't stop Kai when he is decided.
Surprisingly the 3 couples left were still in sync with the plates. The size of the 9th dessert was 1/3 size bigger than the last one. The couples were struggling to finish eating the 9th plate.
“Whoa! The ReiMai couple finished their 9th plate together! And they now advance to the last plate!!!”
‘What?! I need to eat faster!’ Kai fasten his pace even if he doesn't feel anything anymore. His tasteless buds and his bloating stomach, never mind all of that.
A few seconds after the ReiMai couple got their 10th plate; Atsuko finished her 9th and asked for the next one.
“3 of our participants are going to taste the last and the bestselling cake we have! As you can see they will need to eat the whole cake but only one whole cake is given! That's right! The last cake is to be shared with your partner but he or she must finish their 9th plate before helping their partner!” The MC announced.
‘I can...still....eat... I want to vomit!’ Kai's vision started to get blurry as he ate the last piece of his 9th dessert and gulping it with the strength he have left. At the same time he felt his body in the process of falling.
“Kai are alright? Kai? Kai!!!” Atsuko's voice echoed inside his head not too long darkness took over Kai's consciousness.

Kai's POV
I feel awful. My body is so heavy especially my stomach. What happened?
“Kai? Kai are you awake?” A worried voice called out to me. Is it Atsuko?
“Kai...” It is her.
“A...tsu...ko.....” I said I as I slowly opened my eyes.
“Kai!” Atsuko's scent evaded my senses as she hugged me while I'm lying down. As much as I want to hug her back, I just can't. My stomach began to feel weird
and I feel that the food digested was making its way to my mouth.
“Mmmphhggg.” I covered my mouth to fight back the urge to vomit and rose up from my position to let gravity help bring the incompletely digested food back to my stomach. It unfortunately reached my throat but I managed to gulp it down hard. My throat felt pain after a few seconds.
“Ah! Here's the water.” Atsuko handed the glass of water and it took away the pain from my throat as it passes through it.
“Thanks.” I managed to give a respond weakly.
“How is your stomach?” Atsuko asked still with worry and sat beside me.
“Hmm.. Heavy.” I remember now. We were at the contest...
“The manager gave me a medicine for you. Here.” Atsuko gave me a tablet and another glass of water. I noticed that we are in an unfamiliar place and I was sitting on a couch. I'm just glad I was not brought to the hospital.
“Who brought me here?”
“The guy employees did. They carried you all the way here outside the manager's office where a sofa is available.”
“Ah, I got to thank them later.”
“.......” Atsuko lowered her head and silence took over the atmosphere.
“Atsuko?” She hugged me again but this time it was gently done.
“You could have stopped eating when you can't eat anymore. Seeing you fainting in front of me is just...” Sobs followed and I felt her tears dropping on my shoulders. I held her tighter in my arms.
I'm so stupid. I made her worry and now she's crying. “I'm sorry. I just really want us to win and I as I said I will overcome my limits for you.”
Atsuko punched my chest and looked in my eyes with her watery ones. “You're pushing yourself too much for me. We are together. We need to rely on the other when we are at our own limit.” Atsuko placed her head back to my shoulders.
"Rely on me." Atsuko weakly ended.
“That's the problem.”
“?”
“I can rely on you yet you can't rely on me.” Just thinking that I'm right frustrates me. I blew the rare chance when Atsuko can rely on me and I even fainted because I can't eat anymore. What kind of a boyfriend am I?! I can't even prove myself to her.
“Kai?”
“You're perfect. You can do anything on your own. I couldn't even help you a little bit. I'm a useless boyfriend.” I slowly wiped away her tears.
“That not true!” Atsuko raised her voice but that was not it that caught my attention. It was her fierce eyes telling me that I'm totally wrong.
“You don't know how much you affect me. When I'm stressed at my work you are always there to take it away. Even if it is just a simple touch it's enough to energize and motivate me. Your constant attention towards me makes me more alive. Just being by your side makes my day great. You naturally give happiness to me.” Atsuko's tone began to soften. “I need you and I rely on you a lot. I only rely my happiness to you and you never fail at it.”
Atsuko placed her forehead on mine and said “You're not useless at all be it as a friend or boyfriend. You have your own way to help you just don't realize it.” She closed the remaining gap between us. I never thought I can still handle tasting something sweet after all of those desserts that I ate but Atsuko is an exception. I will never get tired of her sweetness.
The kiss was simple but it definitely felt great and it is just what I need at the moment. “Thank you Atsuko.”
Atsuko gave me her cheeky smile. “By the way, I continued eating after they dragged you away and got the 3rd prize.”
“Eh!? You finished the whole cake by yourself!?”
“Un. I can't give up not when you did your very best. I don’t want our efforts go to waste.”
“But you didn't force yourself on that big cake right?”
“I was almost reaching my limit but I managed and the prize is 4 free meals in this cafe.”
“Ehhh.....” Sweets again?
“Hey, this is not a pastry shop. It's a cafe. They serve sandwiches and rice meals too.” Atsuko pouted. She's really cute. I released a sigh of relief.
“That's good to know.”
“Can you stand already? We stayed here for too long.”
“Okay.” I rise up from my seat and held Atsuko's hand. “Bring me to them. I got to apologize for the trouble.”
“Sure.”
After doing the necessary things I walked Atsuko home. This day was somewhat bad but still good things happen too. My insecurity was washed away thanks to Atsuko. From now on I will work hard so that I will not ashamed Atsuko as her boyfriend and maybe she might allow a little flirting at school.

Okay guy I'm sorry for not updating for almost 3 months. I'm busy with school. Got a lot of things to do. But at least I managed to finish something. I need to warn you guys that my updates will slow down from on(I should have warned you guys last time). I have no idea when part 2 will be finished but for now please enjoy this chapter I offer to you guys. :)
Chapter 8 Part 1
Yuko's POV
I lay down at the couch waiting for Riku to finish washing the dishes. I'm so sleepy. The truth is I slept very late. I was nervous to cook for Riku that I had a drama marathon at my room cause I can't sleep and ended up sleeping at 2 am thus, I woke up late. My eyes...
“Sorry for the wait. Which one do you want to watch?” Riku finally arrived and showed to me 3 DVDs. One was horror while the other two are romance films.
“Let's go first with romance. Any of the two of them would be great.” It's not because I'm scared of horror films that's why I chose romance, in fact I love them. I just don't want to feel scared right now and I'm feeling too weak to scream.
Riku placed the CD on the player and then he sat right next to me a little closer than the usual. The movie was really boring and it made me sleepier but I fought the urge to do so. A little later Riku slowly placed his arm at the back of my shoulders.
“Riku?” I didn't get any respond from him as his eyes were too fixated on the TV and didn't bother to take a single glance at me. But he was completely open as if he was inviting me to lean on him. Not wasting the chance, I leaned on him as he pulled me closer, tightening his grip on my shoulder. We stayed like that for who knows until when as I slowly drifted to dreamland.
End of Yuko's POV

A comforting scent welcomed Yuko as she slowly woke up from her slumber. Confusion was portrayed on her face as soon as she opened her eyes and looked at her surroundings upon realizing that she was not on the couch but instead on a bed.
“This is Riku's room, right? When did I got on his bed? Where is he anyway?”
Just on time the door opened quietly revealing the man Yuko was looking for. “Ah, you're awake already.”
“Sorry. I feel asleep.”
“I don't mind. The movie is boring anyway.” Riku replied to the newly awake Yuko as he sat beside her. “Do you like to do anything? Something that won't make you bored?” Riku continued.
“Ehhh... Hmm.. What should we-!!” Yuko's eyes wandered around Riku's room and saw his cabinet. A smirk appeared on Yuko's face as she remembered the contents of it.
“Ne Riku.”
“Yeah?”
“There is something I want you to do but can you promised to really do it?”
“Only I will do something? How about you?”
“I'm your guest. You must satisfy me.” Yuko said in a demanding way.
“Eeeeeh...” Riku had dissatisfied face completely showing his enthusiasm to Yuko's.
“Come on Riku. Didn't you say you would do anything I want in exchange to be your fake girlfriend?” Yuko nudged Riku's side to make the guy remember his words.
“You still remembered that?”
“Of course, so if you won't do to my request I will tell your mom about your hobby.” Yuko threatened the poor lad.
“Wait! How did it went that way?”
“I have your mom's number Darling.”
“What!!?”
“Riku~ Don't make this long. You'll do it anyway.” Yuko tilted her head with a smirk on her face.
“Ugh...” Seeing those sparkling eyes from his fake girlfriend, he decided to comply. Whatever he is going to be asked to do as long as Yuko keeps smiling then he is satisfied with that. “Say it Princess.”
“Yes!” Yuko stood up from the bed and dragged Riku towards his cabinet. “I want to see you in a girl's clothing.”
“Eh!?”
“No turning back now.” Yuko opened the cabinet and searched for anything that will suit Lady Riku.
“You serious?” Riku asked as he watched Yuko get some stuff from his cabinet.
“Uhuh. Let's try this.. Oh! And this!” Yuko excitedly gave the clothes to her dear doll.
“Fine.” Riku right there and then stripped in front of Yuko which made her blush from seeing such hot body. Yuko averted her eyes and pretended to look for another clothes in Riku's cabinet.
“D-don't forget to wear your wig.”
“Hai hai.” Riku took his time and Yuko was able to look for another 3 more clothes for him to wear.
“Ugh.. As I thought I don't want you to see me in this kind of clothing.” Riku said and Yuko turned around only to find Riku stripping off the blouse.
“What? Wh..y?” Yuko being quite perverted, her jaw dropped seeing Riku in lesser clothes on.
With only his boxers left Riku replied. “It's embarrassing.”
“B-but I'm bored Riku.” Yuko said while focusing her eyes on Riku's face fighting the temptation to look lower.
“I got an idea that would make us both happy!” Riku said with a mischievous smile. “Yuko are ticklish?”
“Eh? Why do you ask?” Yuko asked cautiously while taking a step back somewhat feeling that she knows what Riku was about to do.
“The get ready for my tickle attacks!” Yuko's eyes widen as Riku started to come to her.
“W-wait! Hahaha! Riku! Haha! No! Not t-there!” Yuko's laughter kept the whole room very noisy and Riku's smile never wavers for he was also enjoying seeing Yuko in that state. Yuko's struggled a lot from Riku's attack until she lost her balance and grabbed Riku's arm to regain her balance. But Riku also lost his balance and the two ended up falling on his bed together.
With them falling down Yuko's laugh stopped and she stiffen upon knowing that she is sandwiched between Riku's bed and Riku himself who is more than half naked. Not to mention Riku was completely lying on top of her and his face was just right beside her. He was heavy but with his naked hard upper body touching Yuko's upper body she can't help but ask Kami-sama for them to stay like that for a little longer.
Unfortunately Kami-sama didn't grant Yuko's wish as Riku slowly rose up placing a gap between their upper bodies but their legs were still touching. “Are you alright?”
“U-un.” Yuko replied. Her face started to heat up being in this position with Riku.
“Wait. Are you blushing?” Riku asked with a smirk on his face. Not wanting to admit Yuko shook her head vigorously in denial.
“N-no! Why would I?”
Riku's smirk only grew wider with Yuko's retort and began to make the gap of their faces smaller until the tip of their noses was almost touching. “I don't know. Care to tell me what can make you blush?” Riku asked in a soft voice with his eyes only looking at Yuko's.
“......” Yuko was unable to talk due to their super closeness. Heck, her mind is even in chaos. She can totally feel Riku's breath. Just one move from Riku and for sure she will get to taste those lips. And Riku's eyes.. Only looking at her with such great intensity that could melt Yuko away.
“Yuko.” Riku uttered Yuko's name before finally closing the aching distance between them.
They had kissed before but it was to show the people that they are really a couple, halfhearted kisses. Even Riku steal kisses from her but those are just pecks and not like the kiss they are experiencing now. It was longer and it had passion.
Yuko took no long time to respond to Riku's kiss and wrapped her arms to his neck to pull him closer to her than they could ever be. Riku saw this as a sign to make their kiss grow wild. He sneaked his tongue inside Yuko's mouth and the two started playing with each other's tongue. The two only broke the kiss when they're both needing air.
The two were panting hardly and their cheeks were red from the kiss. As soon as they got enough air Riku dived in again and started another round. Riku's hands this time became adventurous and placed his hands inside Yuko's shirt completely feeling Yuko's flat stomach and perfect curves. The kiss was going along well until..
“Riku! My son! We need to attend a!.... Par..ty...” A woman suddenly barged into Riku's room and interrupted the two. The fake couple broke their kiss and diverted they're attention to newcomer still panting from their activity.
“Oh my.” The woman somewhat smiled seeing the two in that position. “I'm sorry to interrupt you love birds but my matter with Riku.. Hmm.. And you too Yuko darling, needs to be attended first. I'll give you two 5 minutes to prepare to talk with me.” The woman said with a smile before closing the door.
“Oh my gosh!” Yuko said covering her face. “This is really embarrassing. To get caught kissing with the son who is just wearing his boxers!”
Riku then sat beside Yuko. “Mom doesn't seem to be mad though.” Riku said to himself.
“I can't face her!” Yuko said and buried her face to the pillow near her.
“Then do you regret it?” Riku asked.
“We kissed out from our hormones, right? Then.. yeah.” Yuko replied with the pillow still on her face making Riku missed the sad face from Yuko. ‘Riku likes someone else. So that kiss was definitely only nothing to him. Hormones, right? That’s the only reason why he can kiss me like that.’ Yuko thought.
“I see..” Riku weakly replied and started to get his clothes to put them on.
Yuko still lying on the bed with the pillow covering her face said, “Tell me when 5 minutes is over.”
“Okay.”

Chapter 8 Part 2
Riku and I went out from the room and proceeded to the living room where Auntie was staying. I don't have a face to show to her anymore. What should I do?!
“Relax Yuu-chan. We will not be scolded I swear.” Riku tried to calm me down but I really can't. I want to hide forever! To get caught kissing by the mother of the guy! Isn't that awkward and embarrassing?!
“It's not that.” I whispered. Riku held my hand and squeezed it.
“I'm here.” He said. Don't say cool stuff at a time like this. Seriously.
“Mom we're here.” Riku said getting the attention of Auntie who was busy scanning channels of the TV.
“Oh you two are done! Well let's get going then.” Auntie got a hold of the both of us and dragged us outside.
“E-eh?! Where are we going?” Riku asked.
“We're going shopping cuz we're attending a party later! Sebastian the car please!” Auntie announced cheerfully pulling the two along with her.
“Yes Madam.” A man suddenly responded as we got outside and went ahead to the said car. The man opened the car's door and bowed a little.
“Thanks Sebastian.” Riku said to the man who in turn nodded.
Riku's mom was at the front seat while Riku and I were at the back. With our curiosity disturbing us Riku asked a question.
“Mom can you explain what's going on?”
Auntie faced us and said, “My son, a friend of mine is throwing a party for her success in her business and then we came up to an agreement to bring our child to brag.”
“I see.. To brag huh.”
“Eh? Am I going too Auntie?” I finally spoke after getting caught making out with Riku on his bed.
“Why not? You are great to brag too. My son found a cute pretty girlfriend perfect for him. It would add more points to me later.” Auntie gave me a wink.
“Am I really worth to be brag about?” I asked still feeling ashamed of getting caught.
“Oh dear, are you still embarrassed? It's really fine with me. You two are a couple, of course you have urges. Although the two of you taking it too fast.”
“I'm sorry.” I said.
“See? She's not mad at all. In fact, she's happy.” Riku whispered to me. In return I elbowed him on his side.
“Ow.”
“Shut it Riku.” I said and observed Auntie. Indeed she has been smiling for quite a while now but maybe she's just in a good mood that's why she let it pass. I mean, most parents’ reaction if they see their child making out in the bed they would be hysterical right?
“Mom is our outfit alright for that party?” Riku's question made me realize that I was just wearing my casual clothing, a green jacket and inside is just a plain white shirt that fits me with my skinny black jeans. There's no way I will to a party dressed like this.
“Of course not. It's a formal party.” Auntie answered.
“But look at what Yuu-chan and I are wearing right now.”
“I know son. That's why we will go shopping.”
“Eh?” Riku and I said at the same time.
*After more than an hour*
Auntie was serious when she said we will go shopping but it was only me and her. It seems that she already brought a suit for Riku so she asked him to buy presents for her friends instead. Auntie chose the dress for me and it was an orange one. It was cute in an adult’s way. It was less flashy from the other dress that I tried so I agreed to take it. And not just that, we shopped for heels for me to wear and found one that matches my dress. Good thing the heel was just 3 inches. Anything more than that and I'm bound to embarrass myself to the people at the party.
After that Auntie and I went to a parlor to have our hair styled and get a make-up. Auntie entrusted me to one of her favorite stylist in the parlor. The beautician, with a pompadour hairstyle, didn't bother to talk to me about what I want and started his work. I hope he will do great. He looks more like a Yankee rather than a beautician with those scary eyes so I'm concerned with the outcome.
I really don't know much about this stuff. I would have felt more relieved if Riku was around but unfortunately he was still out buying presents.
A lot of things had happened today and I'm sleepy again. I guess I should take a nap...

“It's finish.” The pompadour beautician woke me up and I was shocked to see myself.
Auntie instantly popped up. “Yuko-chan is finished? Let me.. S-see......” Auntie froze from her position with her eyes still on me.
“Um.. Auntie?” I fidgeted from nervousness because Auntie's stare is becoming uncomfortable. Do I look ugly? The beautician made my hair a bit wavy but I think it actually suits me and the make-up was just thin which I was thankful for. I like it simple. Maybe Auntie thinks otherwise. (Just imagine Yuko in Kyou made no Melody PV)
“Sata Masaki you are the best stylist in the whole world! Yuko-chan is so pretty!” Auntie suddenly squealed in delight and hugged me. The pompadour beautician only scoffed and said, “Of course I am the best.” Before leaving us.
“T-thank you Auntie.” I said between Auntie's hug.
“If only Riku was here. I'm sure he'll be speechless and will fall 100 times harder for you! You're so beautiful Yuko-chan~”
Eh? Riku will fall 100 times harder for me? I hope so. *Sigh* Who am I kidding? He doesn't even look at me that way. But maybe he can! Well yeah, in my dreams. He has someone else he likes.
“My son really has a good taste. I'm so proud of him.” Auntie said completely clueless to my real relationship with Riku. Just how long will this exactly continue? I'm feeling bad with all the lying Riku and I have been doing especially in front of Auntie and Dad.
The door chime clanged which means somebody went out or the opposite. At the same time the girl from the cash register happily greeted a welcome to the newcomer.
“Mom I bought everything on the.. List...” It was an empty-handed Riku. He somewhat froze in his position as soon as he saw me. Why? Maybe he didn't like it?
“Riku where are the presents?” Auntie asked.
“It's in the car.” Riku replied to his mother but his eyes were still on me. I can't read his eyes at all. I'm getting nervous with his personal opinion.
“Hehe. I'll leave you guys alone but don't be too long. We gotta move.” Auntie smirked and pushed Riku closer to me before leaving us alone.
As soon as Auntie was out of sight Riku talked. “It suits you a lot.”
“R-really? Thank you.” I felt relief but at the same time my heart started to race.
“You're beautiful Yuko.” There he goes again. Making my heart flutter by saying my name and who wouldn't blush if your crush told you you're beautiful? Riku's voice was gentle and his eyes look sincere.
“Ah.. Th-thanks.”
Riku reached for out my hand with his handsome smile that left me loss for words. “Let's go.” I only nodded because of the contact. His hands gave me a special feeling than usual. It was as if I am his only princess.
*After 3 hours*
Riku accompanied me home through a cab. Auntie doesn't want to go out from the party but I need to go home before Dad since I didn't ask for his permission so she sent Riku to accompany me. And I'm still wearing the dress too. I guess I’ll give it back the next time Riku and I would meet.
The whole party was tiring. Auntie's close friends were totally shipping me with Riku. Despite that there were still others who wanted Riku to be their son-in-law. Who wouldn't? He is handsome, tall, gentleman, and rich. Too bad they didn't know his hobby. I bet they will all be disappointed and maybe he was not separated with me almost the whole the time we were at the party. They totally stole Riku from me and because of that there were also guys who tried to flirt with me but I of course rejected them instantly. I only kept an eye on Riku.
Those women were too busy forcing Riku to meet their daughters. Some of those girls were really being flirty and Riku was obviously uncomfortable. He sure hated those kinds of girls and that's why he chose me to pretend as his girlfriend. Pretend, huh. I wonder why I agreed. If I said no my crush on him might not probably develop into love.
My train of thoughts was interrupted by a weight on my shoulder. It was Riku's head. “Riku?”
“That party was horrible.” He said as he closed his eyes with a sigh. “Let me sleep for a while.”
“I see you didn't enjoy meeting new girls.” I teased him.
“Oh please, they are as horrible as my fangirls.” Disgust was evident on Riku's tone. “You had no idea how much I wanted to be with you.” Riku whispered. Riku you idiot, saying things that can be easily misunderstood. I'm sure he meant he wanted to escape to those women so bad. “J-just sleep already.”
“Mm.” I felt my cold hand being embraced by a bigger warm hand. I took a glance at Riku who was sleeping on my shoulder. I looked far away from him to distract myself from feeling hot because I was holding his hand back.
The ride was long. We got caught up in a traffic jam. Good for Riku, bad for me. While he was sleeping soundly right beside me my heart won't stop beating fast. During the ride Riku snuggled closer to me, so close that I could feel his hot breath on my neck. It has been sending me a weird feeling all along the ride. I tried to move his head but seconds later he will go back to his previous position. I gave up after the 5th time.
I suffered throughout, okay well not exactly. I did enjoy the ride but it was too much for my heart to take. I'm sure my face was red the whole time too.
“Ah! My house is that one sir.” I told the taxi driver as soon as my house was one sight. I released his hand from mine and I shook Riku to wake him up but he was still asleep and would fell over me. I shook harder and harder but it was no use. I even pinched him and he responded by frowning but it didn't make him open his eyes instead he hugged me.
“Ahaha! That's one hard sleeping beauty you got there Miss. Maybe your boyfriend wants a wake up kiss.” The taxi driver said.
“Wh-what?! Stop joking sir!” I blushed at the thought of kissing a vulnerable Riku.
Suddenly a phone was ringing. “Oh excuse me.” It was the driver's phone and he answered it.
My attention darted by to the cute sleeping Riku. The taxi driver's words made me remember my make out session with Riku just this afternoon. I could still remember the taste of his lips, the way our tongues clashed, his tongue exploring my mouth, and his hands touching my abdomen. It all really felt good. I want to experience it again. Maybe I should just indulge myself and kiss him. He is sleeping after all. He wouldn't know about this. Yeah, do it Yuko! You can do it! The driver is still busy with his phone call. It's now or never. Yosh!
I pulled Riku a little just enough for me to adjust his face to mine. Slowly I inched my lips closer to his and finally placed a wet kiss to his lips. I put more force until I felt Riku responding to the kiss. Now that was fast! He's awake already! But I felt him smirking during the kiss. Why would he be-?! This damn guy! He was just pretending to sleep and I fell into his trap!
I bite his lower lip hard which made him break the kiss. “Owww... That hurt a lot.” Riku whined touching the place that I bite.
“Ahahaha! See? I was right! Haha!” The taxi driver laughed. Since when did he finish his phone call?! Mou! I got caught kissing Riku again! Today, twice! Unable to stand the laugh of the driver and from the embarrassment, I got out of the car. “Eh? Yuu-chan wait! Oh the bill! Keep the change.”
I furiously walked towards my house and opened the gate. When I reached the door I realized that I don't have the keys with me.
“Um Yuu-chan.. I-I'm sorry.” I heard Riku said from my back.
I turned towards him and reached out my hand in anger. “My things. Give it.”
“No.”
“Riku.” I called out his name warningly.
“Not until you listen and forgive me.” He said back.
Stubborn guy, no point in talking then. I attempted to snatch the paper bag he was holding but he raised it up. So high that I couldn't reach it Damnit, why am I so short?! “Hey! No fair!” I used his shoulder as a support for me to be able to jump higher to it but it was no use. Our height gap is too big making it very hard for me to reach the paper bag.
“I'm sorry. You got into another embarrassing situation because of me.” Riku said gently and made stop from reaching the paper bag and look at his eyes which I regretted immediately. How can I possibly not forgive him when he's looking at me like a sad cat that was abandon in the streets? He is so cute!
“I-it's.. You cheater. Giving me that face.” I punched his chest lightly. “I forgive you.”
A smile was plastered on his face and hugged me. “Thank you. Here are your things my princess.” He broke the hug and handed over the paper bag. He changed his expressions too fast. But I love seeing him happy rather than sad. “Jeez.” I replied back as I got my things from him. He seriously didn't need to add that ‘my princess’ at the end.
“But if you do that again I will leave you at the car next time, got it?”
“Yes my highness.” So now I'm a queen. “But you can't blame me Yuu-chan.”
“Hm?”
“You're so soft that I want to hold you forever.” Riku smiled and it turned into a laugh after I smacked the paper bag on his chest.
“Stop teasing me!” I feel my face warming again. He always messes with my feelings. I continued to hit him with the paper bag as he laugh. It only has my casual clothes that I wore earlier and also my sneakers so I'm sure it didn't hurt Riku a single bit.
“Okay okay. I'll stop!” Riku took a hold of the paper bag to stop me from attacking him and tried to seize his laugh. I only glared at him and he didn't seem to be affected by it when he has that handsome smile on his face. “I'm grateful you're here. At least you made up from the bad party Mom dragged us into.” He said.
“Why the hell should I be the one to make up for it? Riku, you idiot.Hmph!” I folded my arms and turned my face on the side with my eyes closed. This guy! Seriously! I got teased just because of that?!
I suddenly felt warmth on my forehead which spread throughout my body. When I opened my eyes Riku was so close to me as he gave a long kiss on my forehead. He slowly pulled away with a serene face that I can't help but stare at.
Why did God created a perfect guy like him? If he was not here I probably would not be feeling this sadness and pain of unrequited love. I would not be living in this wonderful dream that would hurt me in the end. And I wouldn't experience this excitement and extreme happiness whenever I'm with him.
“Good night Yuu-chan.” Riku said snapping me from my sad thoughts. I smiled at him and uttered a good night.
I watched him turned his back at me and walk away. But before he could reach the gate he came back to me and gave a light peck on my lips. “You're not only soft. Your lips are addicting too.” Riku teasingly said while grinning.
“.........” It took a long time for me to process what he said and by the time he noticed I was about to recover he ran away towards the gate. “Wha-?.. Ri-riku!! You meanie pervert!!!” I shouted and earned a laugh from the guy who stole my heart.

Chapter 9
Summer is over and our protagonists are back to school. Because of what had happened between Yuko and Riku's fans at the last day of summer class, Riku never left Yuko's side as much as possible when the new semester started. To make sure his fangirls won't have an opportunity to risk Yuko's life Riku has started walking Yuko home until she gets inside the house. He even walks Yuko to the restroom during school hours despite the cute protests of his fake girlfriend.
“Your boyfriend is so sweet. How nice.” Atsuko teasingly said to Yuko as they washed their hands inside the restroom.
“Duh, you're just jealous that Kai doesn't do that.” Yuko retorted back although slightly uneasy with Riku’s over-protectiveness.
“Well he protects and saves me in a different way. Let's go out now. Your boyfriend must miss you already.” Atsuko continued to tease the shorter girl who in turn shrugged. Both girls pat dried their hands with their handkerchief before going out of the restroom.
An unpleasing sight welcomed Yuko as she saw a group of girls swarming around her fake boyfriend. “He misses me alright.” Yuko whispered irritatingly completely ignoring the forced and uncomfortable smile Riku has been wearing while talking to the girls. Yuko began to walk away from the scene with annoyance in her face. Amused with what the Student Council President was seeing, she continued to tease the shorter girl.
“Oh wow, a jealous Yuko. This is a rare sight.” Yuko glared at Acchan and denied the accusation. “I'm not jealous.” Yuko said and continued to walk away.
Atsuko's grin only grew wider. She turned back at Riku's direction and called the attention of the poor guy. “Hey Riku, Yuko is not feeling well. Take her to the infirmary for me cause I need to go to the student council.” Yuko flinched and looked back at Atsuko who had this winning smile. Atsuko tapped Yuko's shoulder happily. “You should really thank me you tsun-tsun squirrel. He's all yours back now.” Atsuko gave Yuko a wink before walking towards the student council room.
“Yuu-chan what happened?” A worried Riku immediately came to Yuko's side. From Riku's back Yuko can see the annoyed expression of the girls. 'They're definitely badmouthing me.' Yuko thought. “Acchan was bored. She lied. Nothing happened. I'm fine, you see?” Riku scanned Yuko and sighed in relief. He held Yuko's hand close to his lips and kissed them tenderly. The girls at back were gasping and made silent screaming actions which totally made Yuko want to laugh that the guy that they like will never be theirs.
But of course, Riku's action left more impact to Yuko than those funny faces of the girls. Her heart, no doubt, skipped a beat as Riku kissed her hands like how a prince would do to his princess.
Riku faintly smiled at Yuko. “Let's go.” Riku said. “The girls are scary.” Riku added in a whisper which earned Yuko's small laugh.
Riku's admirers watched in vain as the couple went off to their classroom.
The walk towards the classroom was peaceful. Although they do get stares from the girls that they passed through both didn't heed the attention. Their peaceful walk interrupted by a short dark brown-haired boy. He went in between Riku and Yuko and placed his arms on their shoulders. “Hey Kojiyuu!”
The couple was startled with the sudden lively interruption and also with the ‘Kojiyuu’. “Kai, what's up?” Riku asked seeing his friend having such a cheerful aura although he really did wanted to ask about that Kojiyuu thing that Kai called them but chose to keep silent about it for now.
Kai giggled and removed his arms on the couple before taking a step forward and faced the two. “The school festival is coming! And that means F-U-N, fun!” Kai happily declared. “I heard we will discuss about what our class will do later in Homeroom. I'm so excited!” Kai said then ran towards somewhere else which left Riku speechless.
“Is he?”
“Always like that.” Yuko finished. “Kai loves festivals so yeah. That's why his tension is very high especially a few weeks before school festival.”
“Oh, I see. The school festival is coming, huh.” Riku looked far away and didn't seem happy. Yuko noticed and it made her curious. “You don't like school festivals?”
“Well.. I'm.. Alright with it, maybe?” Riku said with hesitation and started to walk followed by Yuko.
“You're definitely not.” Yuko acclaimed and earned no reaction from Riku. ‘He ignored me.’ Riku being unresponsive made Yuko more curious as there has got to be a deep reason why Riku didn't seem to like school festivals. “You got bad experience on it or what?” Yuko asked but still received no reply. “Oi Riku.” Yuko poked Riku's arms and aimed higher as Riku was unresponsive until the poking went to his cheeks. Having enough of Yuko's poking Riku turned his head to Yuko.
“You want to know what I feel about school festivals?” Riku asked with an emotionless face and low voice.
“Um yeah..” Yuko got nervous because of a sudden change of attitude of Riku. Still with his expressionless face, Riku moved his head closer to Yuko and asked again, “You really really want to know?”
“O-of course c-cuz I'm curious.” Yuko stuttered. This time Riku stepped closer to Yuko but Yuko kept on stepping back until her posterior hit the wall. Riku got Yuko trapped in between his arms and asked again, huskily this time. “You really want to know?” Yuko only nodded finding it hard to talk with the closeness of their faces.
“What would I get if I satisfy your curiosity, hm?” Riku continued and moved until their lips were just an inch apart. ‘Damnit! He's too sexy!! I wanna kiss him!’ Yuko shouted in her head. ‘But I can't let myself lose!’
“Yuu-chan~ What will I get?” Yuko's breathing hitched upon feeling Riku's breath as he talk sexily. Yuko looked away nervously. Her situation looks really bad. Not to mention they are the hallway which was miraculously empty at the moment. “Stop it Riku. It's not a good joke.” Yuko said and pushed Riku back.
“Eh?” Riku looked at her dumbly. Yuko thought Riku was just playing around with her feelings and got more frustrated on how she can easily fall into his tricks.
Yuko walked away and left him while clenching her chest in hopes of slowing down the fast beating of her heart. “I guess I went overboard this time.” Riku whispered to himself as he watch Yuko walk away.
The class continued with Riku trying to keep his eyes on Yuko who was sitting at the front row. He thought deeply on how to approach her to apologize for what he did. Although he is not sorry at all he doesn't want Yuko to hate him. She is the only person whom he can be himself. He doesn't want to lose a friend like her.
“Class, for Homeroom I'll let the class president to take over. Discuss what you want to do at the school festival. Kasai-san, tell me what you have decided later.” Togasaki-sensei said and left the classroom.
“We will collaborate with 2-A for a play.” The class representative said right away with finality as soon as she was in front of the class earning a lot of complaints for those who didn't want to do a play and for the unheard opinions.
“Wait we didn't vote for a play!”
“Heck! There was no voting at all!”
“Oi Kasai don’t abuse your power!”
“Maeda-kaicho say something! Eh!?” The student said and turned for a rescue from the student council president only finding Atsuko's seat empty.
“Maeda-kaicho!? Where is she, Kai?” Another student asked for Kai only to find him nowhere.
“Jeez, those two! Vanishing right when we need them!”
Yuko sweat dropped at the actions of her friends. “They got away from trouble for now. Although it's weird Kai is not here considering that he's looking forward to the school festival the most. The power of love.” Yuko said to herself.
“Mou, a play is great. Not to mention it is a collaboration between two classes. Work will be lesser” Kasai defended.
“Even if you say that..” A student said.
“Tomomi.” A man's voice near the door called for the class representative.
“Oh my gosh! It's Itano-sama!” The girls squeal in delight upon seeing the wild rebellious heartthrob of 2-A in their classroom, Itano Tomo.
Itano stepped inside the classroom and stood beside Kasai. “I hope you wouldn't mind to collaborate with 2-A for a play. It would be nice to work with you all.” Itano said coolly making the girls fawn over him.
“We agree!” Majority of the girls desperately said to catch Itano's attention.
“We would love to!”
“We want to help you Itano-kun!”
“That's great to hear.” Itano smirked smiled to the girls making them squeal louder. “See you all soon.” Itano said and left the noisy classroom.
“Charming the girls again.” Kasai said with a pouted to herself which had gone noticed by Yuko who was sitting right in front where Kasai was standing.
“Hey what about the opinion of us guys! We don't have a stand on this!” A guy proclaimed his complain bravely but he instantly faltered with the glares he received from the girls. “B-but yeah! P-play is awesome too.. Hehe..” The guy fell back to his seat feeling the madness of the girls.
Meanwhile with Riku, he just hopes he won't be part of the cast.
*The Next Day*
“The leading man is Kojima Riku.” Kasai announced holding the paper securely where the name of the cast is listed. The rest of the class nodded in agreement for the male lead.
“Hold on! I don't want to.” Riku stood up from his seat.
“Why not? This is a big opportunity Kojima-kun.” Kasai said.
“I can't act. I don't know how to.” Riku defended which made Yuko roll her eyes.
“Don't worry. The ace of the Drama Club and at the same time your leading lady at the play will teach you.”
“And that is?” Riku asked, a stupid question in Kasai's perspective since the Ace of the Drama Club is very popular. Why would Riku himself, another popular student, wouldn't know the existence of one of the most popular girl in their school. “It's the Shinoda Mariko-sama Kojima-kun.”
“Ooh. Mariko-sama and Kojima. Not bad!” A guy commented.
“What ‘not bad’! It will be the greatest tandem!” A girl commented in. The whole class then started to agree and was anticipating seeing Shinoda and Kojima as lovers. The beautiful Shinoda and the handsome Kojima, for sure the play will attract a lot of people.
“But I really can't..” Riku weakly said looking at Yuko's back for help but Yuko never turned her head to him. He managed to apologize to her for what he did yesterday and Yuko stopped ignoring him but she seems to be back being cold. Never once she looked at him since his name was announced as the male lead.
“Next, Itano Tomo as the second male lead.” Kasai continued rejecting Riku's objection to his role in the play.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
The fake couple walked side by side in silence in the same usual path that they go to. Riku really had a long day. A lot of girls approached him today asking if it was true that 2-A and 2-C will be collaborating and that he will be paired up with Shinoda. He even heard some girls saying that it was better if Shinoda was his girlfriend and not Yuko. Riku of course, didn't tell Yuko about it.
“So you'll be busy with the play soon.” Yuko said breaking their silence.
“Yeah. But that doesn't mean I'll keep my eyes off you. I'm still worried about them hurting you.” Riku said while Yuko smiled bitterly. “I'll protect you with all I can.” Riku looked at Yuko seriously but Yuko didn't look back at him.
‘Don't look at him Yuko. You'll just fall deeper in his charms.’ Yuko fought herself mentally knowing the effect of looking at Riku's cool handsome face. “Is the script finished? I'm curious about it. It seems interesting.” Yuko abruptly changed the subject.
“Kasai-san said the script is nearing its completion. Maybe next week the rehearsal will start.”
“That's fast. They're obviously fired up.” Yuko laughed while Riku sighed. “It's troublesome.”
“How pitiful of you.” Yuko raised her hand to Riku's head and messed up his hair.
“You're supposed to be comforting me.” Riku removed the hand that was messing his hair and held it softly against his. Yuko smiled lightly at their hands as she clasped it tighter together. “Does that make you feel better?”
“Hmm..” Riku placed his free hand on his chin and acted that he was thinking deeply. “Nope. I need a kiss.” Riku smirk teasingly which was removed right away with Yuko's scary glare. “I'm sorry. I was just kidding.” Riku apologized right away and was afraid to make the same mistake again. “You're so sensitive these days.” Riku complained with a pout.
“Whatever.” Yuko's smile returned again seeing Riku being cute.
‘My mood changes too quick when I'm with him.. Yabai na..’ Yuko thought.
The two continued their walk in silence unaware of another person lurking watching them closely.
“I'll steal him from you Oshima.” A girl’s voice said confidently before leaving her sight to the couple.

Chapter 10
A month and a half has passed since the announcement of the collaboration of 2-A and 2-C for a play. The time Riku and Yuko spent together became lesser as the time goes by. Both were too busy with the assignments given to them in the play. Riku was doing his best to act in the same level with the Ace of the Drama Club, Shinoda Mariko. Even on weekends they practice but most of the time they do it alone with the second couple playing in the story, Itano Tomo and Kasai Tomomi.
Riku tried to drag Yuko in those weekend practices but she was also busy making the costumes for the characters and managing the props since the guys only listens to her and Atsuko because they can get very scary when they're mad. Too bad Atsuko is always not around since she has student council duties. Also, Yuko doesn't really like watching the practice especially the scenes between Riku and Mariko. Just even remembering the first official meeting of the main couple cast made her emotions stir in anger and worry.
*Flashback more than a month ago*
A jumpy Tomomi entered her classroom followed by two students from 2-A. The 2-C students all stopped what they're doing upon the entrance of the two popular students from 2-A. The girls were fawning over Itano Tomo and the guys were enchanted by Shinoda Mariko's beauty.
Riku, who had not noticed the two overwelming presence beside him, was talking animately to Yuko who was laughing hard at Riku's story. "Then the guy accidentally ripped his pants!" Riku said with an impact and made Yuko laugh harder. Riku also joined laughing.
Tomomi had an uneasy face finding it very hard to get the attention of the couple who was laughing really hard.
“Um Kojima-kun. Ah.. H-hey.” Tomomi tried to catch the attention of the two but it was futile. It was as if they can't hear her. More like they're on their own world.
“Tomomi, I'll do it.” Tomo tapped Tomomi's shoulder and gave a wink.
“Th-thank you Tomochin.” Tomomi shyly said and used the nickname she gave to Tomo which earned a smile from Tomo.
Tomo placed his arm on Riku's shoulder. “Hey Kojima-kun, Oshima-chan.” With Tomo's interference, the couple finally noticed the two students from 2-A.
“Ah, Itano-san.” Riku acknowledged Tomo's presence as he wiped a tear from eyes because of too much laughing.
“Let me introduce to you your leading lady in the play, Shinoda Mariko.” Tomo said.
On cue, Mariko stepped closer and introduced herself. “I'm Shinoda Mariko. Pleased to meet you Kojima-kun. I'm looking forward working with you.” Mariko smiled and the people around her froze, except Riku, Yuko, and Tomo, seeing the cool beauty's charismatic smile.
“Same here.” Riku smiled back.
“Yosh. Kojima-kun, the script is almost done so let's go to 2-A and get it.” Tomomi said while Tomo grabbed Riku's arm and the other by Mariko, whose face was a little bit too close for Riku and Yuko's comfort, forcing him to stand from his seat.
“Let's all work hard for this to be a success!” Mariko said in high spirits.
“H-hai.” Riku weakly responded.
“Yuko-chan, we will borrow your boyfriend for a while.” Tomomi said and Yuko nodded.
“Okay! Let's go! I'm excited for the script!” Tomo said and started to drag Riku.
As Tomo and Mariko were dragging Riku out, Mariko caught Yuko's eyes. The tall beauty grinned and mouthed words towards Yuko. Yuko silently watched the four get out of the room feeling uneasy of what Mariko just mouthed to her.
*End of Flashback*
Yuko looked around 2-C. It has been decided a month ago that the two classes will use 2-A classroom for rehearsals and use 2-C classroom to build the props and costumes. The girls from the two classes are sewing the costumes while the boys made the props and the artistically talented students painted the backgrounds to be used. And Kai was in charge of painting the backgrounds.
“Wow Takahashi-san! Your drawing is very good.” One of the girls from 2-A said in awe at Kai's work. Ever since the girls discovered Kai's amazing ability to draw he has been often flocked by girls especially from 2-A.
Kai shyly scratched his head in embarrassment of the compliments given to him by the girls flocking around him. “Th-thank you.”
“Aww. He is blushing!”
“How cute!”
The girls continued to fangirl over Kai until a certain shoulder length haired girl entered the room with a dark intimidating aura.
“You are so dead Kai.” Yuko whispered to herself as she watches the scary newcomer coming closer to Kai and the girls.
“Kai.” A sweet voice called. Kai looked at the source of the voice and flinched.
“A-Atsu-k-ko?” Kai trembled in fear. Despite his girlfriend was smiling sweetly at him he can feel a murderous intent coming from her. Even the girls who were swarming around Kai earlier dispersed themselves and were nowhere to be found.
“I need your help in the student council.” Atsuko continued to talked sweetly still with a murderous aura.
“Uwaa. Acchan finally broke.” Yuko said as she continued to watch the interaction of the two. Atsuko has seen numerous times on how the girls from 2-A flirt around her man. But she never acted on it until now.
“B-but Atsuko.. I-I-“
“NOW.” Kai whimpered in fear and gave in. “I g-got it.”
Atsuko took Kai's wrist and drag him out of the classroom. All the students inside the room were speechless of the appearance of the scary persona of the student council president.
“That was scary.” A guy beside Yuko commented.
“Poor Kai-chan.” Another guy commented.
Yuko noticed that the students were too astonished and started gossiping about the two especially students from 2-A. “People get back to work! We only have a week left!” Yuko shouted just like a leader and the students resumed their work.
The students did their best and had a big progress with the costumes and props in just an hour. Yuko rewarded them with a 30 minute break. All the students went out of the classroom leaving Yuko alone. Yuko was not in the mood to eat, she doesn't want to go to 2-A and watch their rehearsal either, and she definitely does not want to know what Atsuko was currently doing to Kai. Yuko decided to continue working on one of the costume, Riku's crown.
Yuko squatted on the floor and placed the necessary materials near her. Yuko was too focused on her work that she didn't notice that she was not alone anymore in the room.
“Yuu-chan, why are you alone?” A voice interrupted Yuko. She looked up and found her fake boyfriend smiling at her.
“I gave them a break. What about you? What are you doing here?” Yuko asked back while continuing working.
“I'm on a break too.” Riku answered and squatted beside Yuko who only gave him a “Hmm...” Yuko went back on focusing on the crown that she was beautifying while Riku was trying to open conversations. All topics Riku came up fell on deaf ears as Yuko will only nod or say “Really?”, “Eeeh..”, “Amazing.” with no feelings.
Until Riku got feed up. “Oh come on. You're on a break right? Stop working.” Riku whined and took away the crown that Yuko was making.
“Give it back Riku.”
“No way. You'll just ignore me and focus on this thing.” Riku slid away the crown and blocked Yuko's sight to it.
“What do you want to do?” Yuko finally asked but Riku felt Yuko's insincerity on it.
“I'll ignore your uninterested tone for now.”
“How great.” Yuko replied sarcastically.
Riku suddenly yawned. “I'm so tired.” Riku said. Yuko felt pity on Riku. He is the protagonist of the play so he has so many lines to remember. Who knows how long Riku stays up at night just to memorize his lines. “I wanna sleep on your lap.” Riku thug a hem of Yuko's skirt. “Can I?” Riku's eyes were pleading and it was certainly cute.
‘Argh! He is so cute!’ Yuko thought. “Come here, you.” Yuko obliged to Riku and offered her lap.
Riku beamed in happiness and kissed Yuko's cheek before lying down. “Thank you Yuko.” Yuko nodded in response. Riku saw Yuko's face turning red but he fought against to tease the girl. Yuko might change her mind and he is starting to feel comfortable with Yuko's scent so near.
*Meanwhile with Kai and Atsuko*
A poor boy was tied in a chair in the middle of an empty locked and dark student council room with the sexiest being he has ever seen straddling on his lap.
“A-acchan, please. S-stop. Aaah!” Kai moaned loudly as Atsuko licked his sensitive ear. His polo was long ago unbuttoned by the girl kissing him and her fingers slowly painfully caressed the upper body of the boy.
“No way~” Atsuko whispered seductively to his ear making Kai feel more turned on. Atsuko slowly unbuttoned 3 on her blouse enough for Kai to see Atsuko's brassiere and cleavage.
“Please Acchan. Stop tempting me.” Kai pleaded helplessly. Atsuko smirked and kept on kissing Kai's weak spot while trailing her fingers dangerously towards his
torso.
Kai tried his best to keep his moans down as to not to catch the attention of anyone who passes the room while his girlfriend is giving him a sweet torture.
*Back to KojiYuu*
Yuko silently watched Riku's sleeping face while caressing his head. It has been a while since they were alone peaceful like this. In the past few weeks Riku has been eating Tomomi, Itano and Shinoda with the excuse ‘Discussion for the play.’ Miraculously Riku's fangirls has not been attacking her. They became quiet which got Yuko a bit scared. She felt that those girls are planning something, something big.
“Oshima-san.” A matured cold voice spoke. Yuko looked up and saw Riku's love interest in the play eyeing her.
“Can you wake up Riku-kun. The rehearsal has started.”
“Sure.” Yuko uncomfortably said and shook Riku. It didn't take long to wake Riku.
“See you Yuu-chan.” Riku gave Yuko another peck on the cheek before standing up. Mariko let Riku walk out from the room first leaving only Yuko and her alone.
“Enjoy your time with him while you still can, Oshima-chan.” A devious smile was planted on the tall beauty's face as she advised Yuko and walked out confidently pissing Yuko off.
“Shinoda..” Yuko stared off to where Mariko exited and thought of Riku.
“Are you falling for her, Riku?” Yuko asked sadly in the empty classroom.
Minutes later the students were back and proceeded to perform their task. Everybody was having fun except Yuko who was working in daze. Mariko's words kept on bothering her.
‘So what if Riku leaves me? He never loved me anyway.’
"Yuko, I.. I actually.. Um... I have someone I like.. and it's a girl." (From Chapter 6)
‘Does he still like her? Or was it Shinoda all along?’ Yuko thought. Until now she hasn't figured out who Riku likes. She paid more attention to him when he revealed he has a crush on a girl but Yuko never saw Riku trying to get close with a girl. In the past few weeks he has been with Tomomi, Itano, and Shinoda. Tomomi is out of the question since it seems the she and Itano are a thing so that leaves Shinoda.
Yuko is convinced that Shinoda can make Riku fall for her. She is gorgeous, funny (according to the gossips Yuko heard), and a fashionista. Being a fashionista is a big trait that can attract Riku, who is a fashionista himself. While Yuko, she couldn't think of any trait of hers that could beat Shinoda. She's just an ordinary tomboyish girl. She can't compete with someone like Shinoda Mariko.
“Oshima-san?” A classmate of Yuko tapped her shoulder snapping her from her thoughts.
“Y-yeah?” Yuko turned her attention to her classmate.
“Takahashi-san hasn't come back ever since. We can't dare to continue his work since none of us can replicate his style. Consistency will not be attained.” The classmate explained.
“I understand. I'll look for him.”
“Thank you very much Oshima-san.”
Yuko went out from the classroom to look for the poor guy who is most likely still being punished by his girlfriend.
“Just hope I won't catch them doing something indecent.” Yuko said and sighed. She was nearing the 2-A classroom and decided to take a small peek at Riku before looking for Kai and Atsuko.
Yuko peeked from the glass window of the 2-A's door. Expecting to see the cast practicing there was only Riku and Shinoda in the room.
They were all alone, hugging and kissing.

Hey readers :nervous I know I haven't updated for 3 months and I apologize sincerely. :kneelbow:
I am too busy in school and got extra responsibilities and paperworks thrown at me. I can't find time and I feel unmotivated to write knowing I still have work to accomplish in the real world.
Don't worry! I'm not dropping this or any of my fanfics. I'm just really busy. Most likely I will update my fanfics around late October or early November since that would be my semester break. (Can't wait for that! School is exhausting as always!)
@ChibiRine: Aaaand aside from school, Rastro has also been making me busy. That ship takes no chill at all making me more exhausted from too much kilig and hopia. Their fanservices are too much for my poor heart to take. I get lesser time to sleep because of those two! :fainted: I'm glad TRMD is going to end soon so that I can get 3/4 of my life back again. Or maybe not.... Rastro seems to have plans after TRMD. Oh well... More kilig and hopia then. :err: I can still take more of those
