Generally we call it soccer. Personally I refer to it as European football (as opposed to North American football).

No there they bunch up against each other :) and in Australian footbal anything goes except arm around the throat :)

I watched the game and it was awesome. Verdy played far better than their rank suggests (the rank that comes from losing 6 in a row over the past month or so!) and totally stymied Real Madrid.
I just hope Urawa can do the same to Manchester United on the 30th!

Yeah, the confrontation between the ex-spurs man toda vs beckham made headlines everywhere...and this is a team that conceded like 13 goals in their previous two matches....
Australian football is cool...
