I seriously hope I'm not the only one who thinks they'd get a debut even without 10k smiles

Just felt like all this really was is a publicity stunt. Get people to pay attention to them and all that.

I knew there was never really any doubt as to whether they'd debut or not, especially with the total being this close to 10,000.

I look at it kind of like what 1st gen Momusu had to go through. It's part publicity stunt, part training, you know? I kind of feel like subsequent generations of Morning Musume kind of suffered a bit by not having to do such a personal self-promotional campaign.

Not only did they surpass the 10,000 pic goal, but according to this news update they actually reached OVER 16,000!

And yeah, even if it was just a bunch of posturing for the inevitable, it was a great way to bring attention to the group and get the general public involved, so congrats to the girls for moving on up!

I wanna see what the finished mosaic looks like.

And yes I've actually wished for more campaigns like this. Not only does it make them have to work harder for their debut (=motivation), but brings them more exposure :3 Now if UFA could come up with a comeback for rivalry within H!P....

Congratulations S/mileage! Boy am I glad that they did it.

I love what they did with the photos, I was just expecting them to randomly stick them onto the board, not make a mosaic out of them.

My picture was pretty dark. If they used it, I probably ended up on their jackets or in their hair.

Thanks for the updates, everyone. I'm glad to hear they reached their goal and will be getting a major debut. The mosaic they came up with is pretty cool. I didn't expect it to end up as a large picture of the group. It looks like they probably did some image editing to shade pictures the color they needed for the different parts of the large mosaic. It would also be cool to get an up-close view, so we can all find out where our pictures are in it.

Yaaay I'm so glad they made it. Publicity stunt or not, it's a good way to motivate the artists as well as the fans ^^
