No mention here yet of her graduation announcement...  quoting from the separate thread where this was announced (and where there was no reaction really either)...

She will be graduating in next year's 2019 Haru concert

I guess this was to be expected. She will have been H!P leader for more than two years, and leader of Angerme for 10 years including the wonderful S/mileage years.  She has been in H!P since she was 10 years old, since 2004 which is as long as I have been an H!P fan.

When I first saw her emerge in S/mileage in 2009, I was doubtful how far she might go, somehow she didn't inspire me right away.  But I now proudly own all her DVDs and PBs, and she will be like Sayu, one I will always follow with interest now.

I love that she has an academic interest to now pursue, and I hope to know something of her budding career as an art historian.  It's wonderful that someone so sexy and vivacious can also be such a geek.

Dawa, it's been a wonderful 10 years.  (I barely noticed her before S/mileage).

Simply, thank you...  and I look forward to supporting you until graduation, and if possible beyond.

Wada: Many people around me have said that they wanted to be friends with gay people, yet most of them also rejected homosexuality. I do remember wondering if it was the way average people of my generation thought, and I felt it was strange.

At that time, I also questioned my own sexuality. I’ve liked girls in the past, and I spent 25 years of my life not knowing my sexuality or where I stood.

Thanks for sharing the translation.  In other forums I have seen people assuming that Dawa is here 'coming out' as gay, and I think that is far from the case. Probably she is saying that she doesn't have a clear sexual identity yet - having not that long ago finally left the confines of the idol world, her own sexual experience is probably still quite limited and it could be some time before she clearly identifies her preference for herself.  Gay/straight is a spectrum anyway, so she could take years to feel comfortable about where she stands.
