Yeah, that's because both games have the same director.  :)

Saw this in the paper today, a gamer died due to deep vein thrombosis after a marathon session on the Xbox.

I love video games, it's my favourite hobby but I don't think I've ever done a proper marathon session. To me, a marathon is like 4 hours, but even then I have to get up and stretch the legs a bit for the bathroom or food or whatever. I just don't have the patience or even the attention span to stick with a game(s) for that long. And all without bathing, sleeping or even eating? What's the point? The game will still be there if you switch it off. Hell,  leave it running and give yourself some time to sort yourself out before getting back to it.

Quote
"Kids all over the country are playing these games for long periods - they don't realise it could kill them,"

How much of a fear mongering statement is this? Whilst undoubtedly tragic this man passed away, this does seem to be a rare occurrence otherwise this would be reported on a lot more and have happened to a lot more people cause rest assured there have been hundreds if not thousands of people who have done the same as guy, for longer gaming sessions and over a wider period of time yet this is the first time I've heard of such a thing occuring. Anytime I hear of a death because of a gaming marathon it's usually down to being so engrossed they completely forego eating, sleeping or drinking.

I think we can all agree 12 hours is a tad excessive. Not pinning the blame on that guy, how was he to know this would happen after all, but it ain't natural to stay in one position for so long.

Went around to my brother's house and played some on his PS3. Tried the Uncharted demo was was pretty cool. Really liked Heavy Rain too, I definately want to play more of it. Kinda leaves me wanting a PS3 now XD

Here's a cool interview in EDGE magazine with Aaron Staton a.k.a. Detective Cole Phelps in LA Noire.

9999!!! I can't believe it! Never in my wildest dreams I thought I would get this far when I started out with my first 360 game and my very first achievement.
Aaah it's so awesome I don't want to break it, but I eventually will and then it's on to the next 10k XD

I want to get Catherine, I want to get Alice: Madness Returns, I want to pre-order The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and I want to find out more about Final Fantasy XIV Online!!!

However, I'm currently telling myself that I won't make any financial moves on these until I have a decent television to play on the won't make my eyes tear after 15 minutes XD

Thanks for the heads up, I totally would have missed it!

FINALLY amazon has put up pre-order links for the game, I mean it's due for release next month and you couldn't even pre-order until just now.

I've been watching this walkthrough for Amnesia and man is this game scary... I thought it was all talk but this game really plays on all my fears: being alone in the dark with something lurking around in the shadows.

Even if it makes my heart want to burst out of my chest I find it so fascinating and the story really intriguing. I like the minor details with how the player's teeth can chatter/grind and that your eyes can adjust to the darkness instead of just having a dark screen, it's really the minor details I love.
