Announced at the handshake event for Sayonara Crawl today at Osaka Dome, the 34th Single Janken Tournament will be held on 2013.09.18 at the Nippon Budokan

This is exactly a year from the last Janken Tornament

Who is going to win this time...?

Would Haruna, Yuko and Takamina able to be in the single this time...?

Well I'm interested how this will come out. 

Will Aamin continue her streak of making senbatsu.  I wonder if SKE or NMB take center by chance.  The ultimate lucked out competition.

Girl just had to win one round to get into senbatsu last year and she couldn't even do it :doh:

Participating members who go straight to the finals:

All full AKB48 Team A, K, B members
Sister group members who hold a concurrent position within AKB48 (Matsui Jurina, Furuhata Nao, Watanabe Miyuki, Yagura Fuuko, Kodama Haruka, Takajo Aki, Rena Nozawa, Suzuki Mariya)

Members who are NOT participating

JKT48 and SNH48 members who do not hold a concurrent position within AKB48

I have a feeling too that Aamin is going to win. It would be awesome for her. I'm looking forward to this tournament. Is it too much asking that Paruru wins again? That would be EPIC!  :roll: By the way, I'm just waiting fot the last janken DVD to arrive.

^ It is hard to have repeat winners although for Paruru it has helped her into regular senbatsu and if she does make it in top 16 that will at least keep a trend going there :nervous

It's gonna be tough but I already called my prediction of Aamin.  Although it is a spectacle with the costumes so we can always prepare for the most intriguing or outright jawdropping so expect anything.

@seigus: maybe she needed to go back a round for warmups :lol: having byes suck in tournaments :nervous IMHO

When the official bracket comes I will probably come out with a lucky guess senbatsu lineup XD  And I hope there are no graduation announcement(s)

The good thing about janken is that a low rank girl can have the exposition that otherwise never could receive. I really wish that one of these wins: Annin, Aamin or Lovetan.

^ lovetan would be great but because HKT only has three spots she has to make that and run through the gauntlet so 9-10 in a row?

That would be epic and the ultimate gift for exile in Fukuoka XD

If Kawaei wins this one, I will no longer be a janken believer! RIGGED! :lol:

Honestly, I have no preference to who wins, but I would much prefer it to be someone who doesn't get a push already. Makes the whole thing more fun. My biggest hope is that they will stream it. This would be the BEST thing to watch. Here's to hoping!

^ I was watching highlights and I think the best thing is to consider Nito and Paruru's path and don't they throw the same thing over and over XD

I want to see who survives the sister groups prelims and to win a spot.

This will be an exciting tournament.

My hopes for this single
-Kojimako centers! lol I'll be happy with her just getting in
-Concurrent members Nao, Fuuchan, and Haruppi making senbatsu
-Mio getting in
-Nyan Nyan making it back in
-My Watanabe lovelies getting in (Mayuyu & Milky)
-Ricchan, Tomu, Yuka, Yagi, and Naana getting in
-All the kks in senbatsu
-Someone nobody was expecting to center
-Lolita fashion theme for the PV  :wink: I can dream!
-BEST SONG EVER PLEASE!!!
-Paruru centering again just to see how people will react and going on and on about how the tournament is rigged when it's not  :P

I know she cancelled her concurrency with AKB so she isn't in Janken which brings up a lot of questions with what will happen especially how her reaction to the initial move was still bugging her.

I have come with predictions....

To be honest here's a lot of what had happened.

* Many I went by who I liked (figures)
* There were a shitload of matchups I hated:

Mayuyu/Yukirin
Any matchup against Hilary
Block E= HKT loaded matchup
Boss/Sacchan
All matchups with Annin
Yuko/Mocchii
Seira/Mocchii

All tough ones

This year's janken seems to be another excitement~
I also really want the members that aren't pushed to be the center. In fact, I don't mind having Uchii as a center again. That girl is a complete rock!  XD

Also wondering what kind of costume will pop out into the janken arena this year... Another one like last year's Sato Seira?

And if Aamin got a position again this year, I will solemnly swear that I will do Bungee jump and screamed her name... Definitely would be rock if she got four janken senbatsu in a row.

I hope Haruna or Minami can be the centre...

Well they are both the 1st generation.

They are not going to stay in AKB forever...

Some more... Nowadays.. The AKB been concentrating on the younger members...

I think it would be great to show the fans that all this old members still just as important and needed...

It's been revealed that NMB48's Kobayashi Rikako (Team BII) will be withdrawing from AKB48's '4th Janken Tournament' which will be held on September 18 at Nippon Budokan.



Since some months ago, Kobayashi had been visiting a hospital to receive treatment for discomfort in her foot. However, her symptoms has worsened, "Recently the pain has gotten worse so I had been enduring the pain in my foot during performances." She's decided to take a rest as doctors told her to "take a break and heal it completely."




Kobayashi explained, "I thought the janken tournament on the 18th would be a big chance for me. When I thought about the trouble I would cause with my foot injury, even if I win, I felt very apologetic and had to withdraw. I know that this is an important time for me and Team BII, but if things remain this way, I thought I would cause trouble to everyone, so I have decided to take a break."



In the meantime, Kobayashi will devote herself to "treatment and rehabilitation". She expressed, "I will do my best to show my healthy self to everyone as soon as possible. Until then, please wait for me."



Kobayashi was paired up against AKB48's Yamauchi Suzuran in the first round.

^Actually, if someone manages to stream the feed over at Sky Perfect TV, one can actually watch the whole event which starts at 17:30 JST.

Anyway, to be clear the event starts at 17:30 JST but FujiTV will only air bits of it from 19:00 JST.

Hope for a Sky Perfect stream then.

Any available link will be posted on this thread so check back on the day of the event.

I was one release too late, but I totally saw this coming  :lol: She's center for the next single!

The only question that remains is when she'll actually graduate...

It also means she probably won't make Janken senbatsu, which messes up my top 16 predictions.  :nervous

I´m not a big Jurina fan but I´m happy for her. Long live the queen  :thumbup I couldn´t watch it but was there controversial? I´m also happy for Maria and Rie. I don´t care for the rest. Almost all my favorites lost too early  :smhid I imagine this will be a poor senbatsu, oh well...

Well... I guess I don't mind it so much with Jurina as the winner.

But as I thought except for Mariko last time won the 2nd tournament.

The rest of the winners were from younger Generations.

Now... The rest of the Senbatsu members except Jurina and Rie, are new

Well... Basically... This is going to be a single with nearly no earlier Generations.

How is the sale going to be then?

Would they get a million too?

Can't wait to see how that going to turn up...

Congratulations to Jurina and to Emika, for lasting through a nerve wracking series of
competitions to make it the finals.

NMB48's lovely equestrian, Emika Kamieda, will have a wonderful chance to show her warm smile to her many future fans!!

And Jurina, the Sixteen year old high school student, had the perfect costume of a beautiful high school student! It actually works out well to have the known star in first position, and the less known Idol in second position, as the fans will purchase the single, and the girl in second place won't have the sales resting on her shoulders like she would have had if she had won.
