Google
finally released a beta version of Chrome for mac after about 15 months
. Complete disappointment first there was not apparent way for me to block flash, either through disabling plugins or a built-in flash blocker (Camino is the only browser that has a flash blocker out-of-the-box!!). Any browser that gives me no means to block flash is dead to me. Google chrome also stealth installs an auto-updater (the kind that does not tell you they are updating the app) process at launch, which a big no-no for
control freaks mac users such as myself. That and the whole google watches you thing. Not that it really matters between google analytics (most websites I go to seem to use it) and their search service I find it pretty hard to stay away from their sights.
BTW anybody who talks about memory leaks or excessive memory usage clearly has not talked to a mac user about Safari.
