I was seriously impressed with that live performance from the UF Licks episode -- she was working it like a rock star! (Unfortunately, neither she nor Reina had a similar energy level as hosts.)
I never paid attention to Asahi much before, but I heard "Rolling Days" a few weeks ago and liked it enough to buy the song off of iTunes. (Damn you, Up-Front, for putting out so many songs lately I like!)
The performance of "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" was really good, too.

^Why do you think I clipped only the performance out? Them talking was making me bored. :lol: But Asahi has really developed a great deal from performing live. I still remember the early videos where she still looked visibly nervous. Nothing like practice to get your game going I guess! :D

Her covers of two very well known songs are evidence of how talented a performer Asahi is currently, and it will be very exciting to follow her career. I think her talk session with Reina probably helped her with her performance persona. After all, she probably was really nervous doing a MC session with HP's bad ass Yankee, so getting back on familiar ground, with a piano in front of her, she must have thought, "ah, this is a lot easier!"
And just joking about Reina, she actually became a great 'big sister' during her time with 9th and 10 and 11th generations!

2013年の1月にソロシンガーとして活動させてもらってきたわけですが、

Has anyone else noticed how similar this girl is to Miyazaki Yuka? Both play piano, were discovered through the 2nd Forest Awards, debuted and released 2 singles under Satoyama, and then joined other units.
